Merlin Morningstar (WIP)

» History:
Merlin and her parents were both wanderers, who traveled throughout many places in the past 30 years. Merlin was born in a mountain village, where it's always hot. In the mountain village that her parents decided to settle in, due to the unexpected birth of their child. Having to postpone their journey, and celebrate the arrival of her parents child. Merlin was born as a privileged child, who was built from the fame of her parents. Though at the time she didn't know the amount of fame, her parents gathered when they were traveling, until she became much older. Merlin was considered one of the toughest, and roughest in her village. She had a minor bulky feature that most of the kids would make fun of. Calling her a brute, and any other name that gets her angry. She didn't grew up having friends, until a local at the nearby mansion she lived it, had defended Merlin from the bullies. He and Merlin developed a friendship over the course of the years. Merlin and okada would tell each other stories, and what they want to be when they grow up. Okada wanted to be a police officer and a samurai, while Merlin wanted to be a nurse--however she wasn't all that sure what she wanted to be. Merlin's father was well fit and active, like Merlin. He used to play sports, and partake in a tournament where the famed swords and would fight for honor, and claim the legendary and ancient blad, but unfortunately her father only placed second against a mysteriously shady swordsman, who would later become a member of lux orior years later. Merlin had the skills and physique like her father. She didn't have the motivation for those things, until an eventful day arrived for the morningstar family and throughout the entire village.


A mysterious, mystical, and divine beast shrouded in darkness, had come and paid the mountain village a visit. Villagers have theorized that this foreign creature came off world. It was attracted to something here in this village. Coming from the other realms, the divine beast laid waste in Merlins home. Wrecking havoc at the sights of humans, it was looking for something as it breathed its green fire. Homes were burning down, and okada and his people began to evacuate. Merlin was forced to flee as well, while the adults tried to defend the village. However, merlin was able to witness the last moments of her fathers heroic effort in killing the beast, pulling out what the beast was seeking. An ancient sword that was once the home of this beast, and its original holder who was her father all along. Her father used this ancient blade, and light beamed out of the tip of the blade. Using it to seal the beast from within the blade where it had belong, and eventually the blade broke into pieces as she watched them scatter across the wind. She had many questions, but her father could only answer a few. Merlin was told that whoever sent the dragon here, was a shadowfall operative. One of his long lost friends fell in the grasp of the demons, and wanted to see his family gone. The sword that he had was something that he built, out of the remains of a broken sword laid waste during the first world war.


The young merlin after the incident that happened, back at her village. She was now at a new home, and hopes she can stay. Merlin now at the age of sixteen, and began her practice in sword training with her fathers former master at a dojo in korea. In her new home in Korea, she made some friends as an exchange student. These three new friends of hers all have their own goals. One of merlins goal was to be a master swordsman, as she spent most of her time practicing and hanging out with her friends. Throughout her training, she struggled to overcome her weakness. However, a mysterious force help pushed her out of her shell. This mysterious force within Merlin would soon be her inner hollow. Having accidentally tapped into a force she never thought she had. She was born with it, because her father is a vizard. Having carried such a mysterious part of her all these years, she didn't want to cheat and rely on a foreign body in order to help her train in swordsmanship.


Merlin wanted to keep having a normal life, and pretending that something inside of her mind was, just her needing to go get checked out. The more she kept playing pretend, the more that her inner hollow kept creeping inside of her. She didn't need this creepy freak inside of her, as she kept coming into conflict within her mind. It was only until a band of cloaked individual paid her sensei a visit. They radiated the same type of energy as the beast, and their dense power felt suffocating to be around. Her teacher was in trouble, and began to help him. Merlin at the time was weak and brittle, despite having the strength and minor sword practice. She wasn't on the same level as the two cloaked figures. They used some trick to force merlin in using her hollow powers. Bringing forth the mask onto the face of merlin, using her might in order to turn the tides. Merlin still couldn't break through the gap in power. Her struggle led to her failing in trying to protect her fathers teacher. These cloaked figures were interested in Merlin, and decided to let her and her master live another day. Merlin's father and mother arrived late, but couldn't catch them.


These events that had unfolded in her life, and realizing her failure. Merlin wanted to focus more on her training and control her inner hollow. She also made a vow in killing these demons that kept threatening her family.


Many years passed since the time the hooded figures made their visit. Hollow attacks became more frequently within the city, and her parents aren't there to help. Merlin paid a visit to one of her old friends from the village up in the mountains, Okada. Her and Okada caught up in each other's lives, but what came to a sudden surprise to her, wasn't a warm smile from his face. It was a sword that pierced the heart of Merlin. Okada said that merlin brought misfortune, and ruin in his life. Things kept happening, and her heart kept getting tainted by her own guilt and failure as a person. Because of the unfortunate events that befall, merlin. She was forced to be put out of her misery. Merlin realized that she was betrayed. She used the last amount of strength she had, in order to kill Okada out of anger. Using any means to bring him down to the grave with him. She was successful, and both were killed. About several decades passed. Merlin was given a new life, as apart of the spirits thay resided in the rukon district.




Her reincarnated body was trying to get itself recuperated. Everything felf weird, and everywhere she goes--she had fo fight to get by. Learning from others on how to steal, and fight in order to survive in these parts. Merlin had built up reiatsu, and even scared one of the local thugs away. Learning from their mistakes, after realizing her latent powers that she wasnt aware of, until a black robbed gentleman pointed it out. Merlin couldn't figure out what he was talking about. He told her that he had a gift, and exceptionally tougher than she realized. The man in a black robe took her in, and decided to take care of her. Training and her and making sure that she was excelling in the academy. Merlin was proficient in healing than she was, back when she was alive. She also learned how to cast Kido spells. Letting other students know that she was an upcoming magus. She didn't excel very well in swordsmanship. She wanted to become better. She was told that there was a master swordsman amongst the gotei 13, during her time at the academy.


Merlin sought out the search of the master swordsman, once she had gotten better enough in zanjutsu in order to be acknowledged by him. Having graduated outside of the academy, merlin was prepared to find this man.
