Finding Home In The Devil [Algos/Vanyel] Empty Finding Home In The Devil [Algos/Vanyel]

Finding Home In The Devil [Algos/Vanyel] 6EdIfMt

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A

Aching pain made the woman ever-so potent with demonic energy and life. The Shimmering skies of aqua and white filled the blissful heavens above as the likes of The Demon Princess sat on the stairs of a newly constructed mansion. Relaxing under the rays of warmth her foul sun emitted, the royal Asthavon waited for the likes of Vanyel to see his newly constructed home. If he were so caught in the chains of their family? Then he deserved to live on their compound. It wasn't as if they were lacking on space. The Asthavon manor extended for ten miles, so this space was almost its own town.

Regardless, the woman's heart felt a weird tingly sensation in it. After having gotten to know each other so well over the past few days since their initial encounter of forgiveness, a sense of excitement was held in herself for the man. It was a rather odd sensation to let the affection of other beings that weren't Calypso within her depths at this phase in the demon's life. Still, it wasn't bad. It was just a feeling to note.

For now, her blood eyes were more intent on waiting for him to emerge out of some vortex or portal from the depths of the dirty earth to once again see her here. If nothing else, today could be a good day to further expand their relationship and show him how much he belonged in demon world.

ENTER THE MEGALOMANIAC

Artist: Persona 3 - Song: Living with Determination

Yet another burst of mixed feelings came from the man as he slid his jacket over his shoulders. Anxiety, excitement, and dizziness. He was most certainly excited to see his home in the Demon World, but there was still this strange dizziness that came over him at the thought. It felt a little...overwhelming. Still, Algos was waiting for him.

So, taking a deep breath as he gathered the rest of whatever essentials he needed, he opened a cobalt vortex in front of him, stepping through to enter the Demon World, coming face-to-face with not only the Demon Princess, but a mansion that he could only assume was his. The sight left him speechless as the vortex dissipated behind him, and a mixture of gasps and laughter of disbelief came from him as a hand rose to rub his neck bashfully.

"Well...s-shit! I wasn't really expectin' this."

Trying to regain his composure, he took a few steps forward, staring at the mansion before turning his gaze back to Algos.

"Wow. Just...damn, I don't really know what else to say, other than just...thank you."

There was a look of astonishment upon the face of Vanyel when viewing his new home. It was a lot to take in, wasn't it? The vast wealth of resources that the depths of Demon World possessed made it even a question in the Princess's head as to why they even needed Earth outside of their own pride and desire to be a mighty presence in the cosmos. Still, besides that grandiose ideal floating around in her mindscape, the more simplistic nature of her heart was rather happy to see Vanyel yet again. So, the woman stood up and greeted him in a hug without much warning before letting go just as soon as she embraced.

"Our estate compasses ten miles. Making you a place with that amount of space? That's child's play."

The Princess spoke in a very matter-of-fact way as their wealth and influence was truly something to behold to the outside eye, but to her? It was just another run of the mill thing. Instead, what mattered more to The Royal Asthavon was that she was following her heart's intention in wanting to do a good gesture for someone she cared about it. Hence, the woman leaned on the man's shoulder and pressed her body against him as she closed her eyes.

"I missed you."

Direct as ever, Algos put her hand on the man's hair and ruffled it up a bit before her blood eyes looked at the manor.

"But, do you want to see your home, or just stand out here holding me all day?"

ENTER THE MEGALOMANIAC

Artist: Persona 3 - Song: Living with Determination

After living a life with such small establishments, having something like this being introduced to him was a lot to take in. He wasn't really expecting something of this scale, but he sure as hell was grateful. It still was pretty insane! His smile grew just a bit wider at the greeting hug that Algos gave him, ending just as quick as it came. However, his smile turned back to surprise when he heard just how large their estate was.

Ten miles?!

His eyes widened as he heard the number, another bout of laughter from disbelief coming from him before his face briefly flushed as the demoness leaned against him, expressing that she missed him. Wrapping his arms around her waist, Vanyel returned the hug she gave him before, his voice lowering to a more gentle tone than before.

"I missed you, too."

He shared her sentiments, as the simplistic parts of his own heart had missed Algos as well, and he was more than happy to see her again. His head lowered for a moment as she ruffled up his hair, that redness returning to his cheek as he gave a goofy grin, trying to fix his hair a bit after she playfully messed it up.

"Why not both? Hold you after the little tour?"

His grin turned playful, though the request was still mildly serious. He gave her a gentle nudge before starting to walk towards the manor, a childish look of wonder and amazement spreading across his face as he continued to take everything in. It was still incredible and almost unbelievable to have all of this be standing right in front of him.

"Man...this is still a little hard to believe."

The bloodied eyes of the rotten princess shifted down to her waist as she noticed Vanyel wrapping each of his arms against them. With a soft chuckle, the woman wriggled her hips and leaned back against him as she shifted her eyes shut.

"I can tell. You've got your hands all over me."

There was then a foul chuckle that exited her lips as the woman's eyes opened once more. While looking upward at the vast estate ahead of them, the demoness nodded her head and replied:

"We can do both. It matters not if you hold me indoors, or outdoors; we are rather close, aren't we? So long as we are together is all that matters."

Speaking such truths as if they were fact, the woman's heart kept steadfast in its expression, desires, and feeling as she continued to explore the depths of her sentimentality.

Regardless, as soon as the man stepped forth in the ever-sprawling mansion, he would find colors of aqua, white and black spewed all around the interior. Many tiled floors filled with various servants and maids running about started to come into view as well. Gazing upwards at the ceiling would bring the visage of many different blues and pale-colored flames being used as a light to bring illumination to such a comforting domain. And, of course, there were more than enough rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and the likes to house a few dozen families. Truly, the wealth of the Asthavon was absurd.

"I've spoiled you just as rotten as I have myself, have I not?"

That was the only words which echoed out as the woman once again leaned on her fellow companion; flowing with a slight smirk at the sight of this whole home that was now his and Calypso's.

It didn't matter if they were outdoors or indoors for him to hold her? That didn't sound so bad. The grin on the human's face never seemed to face as they explored the insides of the mansion, with Vanyel still giving quiet chuckles of amazement and wonder as he looked around. It was like being a kid in a candy store, but the entire candy store was theirs.

Beautiful shades blue, whites, and blacks that all mixed together to form an immensely pleasing aesthetic to the manor -- and it was all for him and Calypso.

His head lowered, turning his gaze to the floor as he shook his head in disbelief. There was so much of a surreal feeling for all of this to happen, yet he could feel the overwhelming joy and happiness flooding his heart. He felt Algos lean against him again, and he found himself returning the action, lightly leaning against her, indulging in the feeling of comfort and warmth when with her as he finally found the words to respond properly.

"I'll say. This is...wow. I've...really never had anythin' like this before. This is just incredible, and a little bit insane."

His face flushed a tiny bit as his gaze turned to the ground once more.

"I've never really been spoiled like this before, so...it feels kinda strange but kinda nice, too. Makes me...feel important."

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm~

He really didn't know what to do with himself, did he? Twas' almost like Vanyel was a child lost in a world of play with the looks of amazement the male gave the visage of the mansion. Still, it did her heart rather good to bleed such affections into existence. For a finite time, her loneliness could be eased to a degree. While still lingering like a nagging sore, the woman's inner-isolation could find some solace in the investment of others as her royal desires continued to boil to the surface.

"I'm a person of great possession. I can consume the darkness of this world without end, and I can devour the light if I see so fit. Right now, making you feel loved brings my heart glee, so I want to continue to possess that feeling for my own."

Kindness drenched in selfishness. The root of her spirit was a foul thing, wasn't it? Yet, in spite of that, the woman accepted the shades of internal greed. A soul is more complicated than any particular element of evil or good. So the hues of self-desire were intermixed with colors of selflessness as the art of affection was a game of giving and taking.

"Do you not find the allures of demon world oh-so-much better than the gems of the human realm? You are more at home with the heart of a demon than your own kind. 'Tis almost as if you are better suited to be one of us than your own breed..."

It honestly felt nice to feel like this, to have something like this manor done for him and Calypso, to make him happy. It only served to fuel that child-like wonder and amazement that he had, and kept him with a smile on his face. He really hadn't ever had anything this extravagant and amazing, and it made him feel special. It made him feel like he was truly a part of something, a part of the kingdom, this family -- he felt like he belonged somewhere. Whether or not that was a good or a bad thing, he didn't know.

He listened intently as she spoke, and it only served to stir more strange emotions in his heart. Knowing that making him happy brought happiness to Algos, for some reason, warmed his heart. He didn't really know what that made him, but, to him, that caught his interest. It made his heart swell with emotion, even if it was a strange mixture of kindness and selfishness. He didn't mind that, though. It was, as if, for every act of selfishness, there was also an act of selflessness within it. For him, it was sort of...appealing.

But, what she said next prompted him not to answer right away. His smile faded as curiosity filled his heart and mind. He did truly feel at home with the Demon World -- more than he had with Earth. with how many bad memories it held for him. But, what she said next only drew him in further. Despite this, he continued to rest and lean against her, turning to face her as he spoke.

"Are you implying somethin'?"

His words were laced with curiosity and concern. It was a very specific thing to say, and it certainly caught his attention.

But, if that meant what he thought it meant...well, he wasn't really sure what to think.

Humanity brought with it a sense of self-loathing, did it not? The world of the human race was quite divided even as the likes of the demonic hand lessened it's grip immensely. So, to have someone as earnest as Vanyel in her grasp meant that there was something in the blood of demon-kind which was far more alluring than the limited and finite root of mankind. Therefore, she had her lone claw flick the forehead of the male as a low, raspy chuckle emitted from her devilish mouth.

"Why don't you just become a demon then if you love us so much?"

Why beat around the bush? The woman felt blunt honesty was the best way forward in her path of being quite the devil. It was hard to attain the trust of those who hid behind a myriad of different smoke-screens, half-lies, and falsehoods. To be charismatically upfront, show the ugliness of your soul and to be unafraid of what the world thinks brings those who you desire to be at your side far more effectively than any type of deceit ever could. So, along these lines, Algos continued:

"They've forsaken you, forgotten you, and pushed you to the cliffs of rejection with this possessive demon that is me. Why not go all the way, become that which your lover is and embrace her on a level never before possible when you two are divided by the barrier of being different species?"

There it was. It was exactly what he thought it was.

Even if he already had an idea of it, the moment that his suspicions were confirmed, Algos would immediately be able to sense a spike of uncertainty, a deeper level of concern, and pressure from the human. The Seal of Eris being based on the emotional creatures that were demons didn't help, as it only served to add to that feeling of pressure.

It was true that, in the end, humanity had forsaken and forgotten about him. He was a nobody, likely even detestable to many humans for who and what he associated with, those associations leading him to seek further and further asylum with those who accepted him. Yet, the thought of turning into something new, potentially throwing away who he was -- throwing away his humanity, no matter how much it disgusted him at times -- it scared him.

What would Calypso even think of it? How would this affect his feelings towards her, towards Algos, towards the Eris Family as a whole? Many questions -- some being simple, some being far more complicated -- swirled endlessly in his head, despite how little he moved or did anything physically.

"I..."

He paused, his gaze turning to the floor. Despite everything he had gone through, there was still a strange attachment to his identity as a human, to feel human, to be human. To have all of that change and to potentially throw it all away -- it was terrifying to him.

"I'd...need to think about it more and talk to Caly about it, to see what she thinks."

It wasn't as if he was going to ask permission from Caly to do it -- not by a long shot -- he simply wanted someone else's thoughts on the matter, someone to guide him and help make the choice that he felt was right, as it was by no means a small decision, and he wanted to make sure that he was certain of whatever choice he would come to make.
