Atlas | Wardog of Vastime

As the mask of deception falls off the face of humanity
Unveiling the grim reality of duality
In which everyone is a casualty, no one will be exempt
Truth has many shades
It's not a matter of black and white, but gray
Although many, we are one, so in the final analysis
Could it be that we are fighting a war that can't be won.

The mobilization of HMS Humanity was something of those things rarely done, to have a warship of this caliber deployed on Earth was no easy task. One of the few achievements of Vastime which none had thus far replicated be it from how time consuming it was, or just lacking the technology. But it was one of the hallmark of their military geniosity, but now it would be used in active military combat. When the order came down the woodwork that the war would be engaged with deployment to Europe; to seize the rest of france and push deeper in a wave of ferocity set into the crew.

Atlas D'al Decter stood within the command deck as the massive warship was brought to bare upon the edge of their forces, having a clear line of sight at the fortifications of Shadowfall. Thus far the two having been locked in a stalemate, in perhaps hope that an agreement could occur between the two. That civil heads could prevail to convince one side to back down or not.

The blood of countless humans, said otherwise.

With that being said Atlas would gaze upon the grew as a frenzy of motion occurs around him. A wave of uneasiness building amongst the crew. The weapon they where going to unleash was perhaps not the most deadly thing ever used on Earth, but it was the weapon used by ordinary humans who could replicate the effects of gods. It was the first step, towards humanity reclaiming their destiny facing the titanic force of otherworld beings and speaking; 'No, you move.'

As the gathering of atoms happened, raw air itself being converted into Kishi to power the guns Atlas walked towards the edge of the command room. His body encased in battle-armor, gone was the uniform of which he was know for. This was not the place for a man of studied political nature, what was required was a man of war. One who knew well the price he was going exact from Shadowfall and his people alike. As the final stages of preparation happened, two glowing holes peeking out from the ship, he looked to the weapons officer.

"Authorization for Fire, is approved."

With those words silence fell over the crew as the officer flipped a few switches, his hand hovering over the final button. He'd press it after a moment as the ship began to stir for a moment, the glowing guns which held the kishi finally expanding. At nearly imperceptible speeds they would release the payloads, flying through the air at their intended target. Once it struck, what was essentially half the size of a full city would instantly explode in a cataclysm of white hell fire; the very ground becoming class as temperatures reached 100 celsius. What was left of the Shadowfall stronghold was but a glowing, burning, glassed landscape.

A silence fell over the troops of Vastime, both those under the ship and within it. As they began to move forward; whatever was left of the survivors may try to stop the Dreadnaught; or they may run. But one thing was certain: Vastime was reigniting the war. And they would provide no more quarter.

"Activate defensive protocols, that is sure to catch their attentions."

His Majesty Ship The Humanity

Hayden | The Iron King

Every soldier of Vastime was trained to the best ability of their military, each soldier a resource and investment not just for the nation but the world. This created a soldier who was born of pride, who in trying times fell to their training to keep them alive. They where not machines to be replaced, for they where ultimately citizen soldiers answering a call of duty. In the lowest soldier, held a degree of eliteness to them which many other nations may idolize or loathe. But none could underestimate them.

But within those soldiers laid an even more elevated soldier, one who was not simply a mere soul. Those who had been handpicked, those who underwent modifications to make them the wrath of the King. The Legionary Project had produced captain level individuals who operated in elite tactical squads, who executed the will of Vastime and their king with lethal efficiency. Not simply the best of the best, but a force of nature.

And from the ranks of those handpicked soldiers, from the ranks of those modified beings, game one final level. Those who task where to ensure the protection of one of the most powerful men in the world. The Kingsguard, his companions to accompany him on the field of battle. Those who could keep up with the destructive force which was the King of Vastime. Those who would protect his family and all those he held dear. His companions.

As Hayden gazed upon one of the last Bastions of Shadowfall's rule in Europe, one of the last fortress which would require a set piece battle, he could only silently wonder who would come. His plans for London had to be paused, the conquest of Europe's mainland came first. His climatic battle with Mana will come sooner, but for now he simply had to content himself with this endeavor. He had come a long way from a mere soldier five odd years ago.

For better or worse, he would be viewed in two lights. The liberating hero who massed one of the greatest armies in the history of earth, who would throw back humanities menace. Or he would be viewed as a failed tyrant, who's name would be spit upon forever viewed as a man who's ambitions led him astray. He did not know which, and in his brief respite as a husband and father, he had almost fooled himself into believing he would not need to do this.

But if Karakura had taught him one thing, if the overlord of his soul had taught him one thing, Death would come eventually.

"The general is in position with The Humanity. We can begin when you see fit, but there's no doubt a strong defense between the Demi-Network, Knight Slaves, and whatever the sods have to throw."

The voice of a smooth tenor would be heard, perhaps a bit accented. A man's who's youth betrayed his years. A golden hair'd man who seemed to fit more within the pages of a modelling page than the field of war. Clad in a sliver armor with a sword resting against his side, blue eyes gazed upon the same field as his king. One of Hayden's trusted companions, one of the four which would accompany him.

"It's going to be a bloody day."

Hayden replied with some level of disgust in his voice. There was no avoiding it this time, the casuality rate would be high for both sides. Even with him holding some key advantages militarily. The air superiority was rendered almost negligible depending on how the enemy used their resources, and the ground assault was going to need suffer. It was why Hayden was coming today, if only to even the odds a bit.

"Bloody? Perhaps. Glorious? Most certainly, your majesty."

Hayden lips pursed. There would be many saints made today, some of the most common men of Vastime may be raised to a state of Godhood. All that hinged on them dying a glorious death. He did not like it. Even after having ordered so many to their deaths, it wasn't right. But here he was, yet again, ordering it. Only this time he'd be leading the charge.

"Let us see if any allies appear today. Or enemies. Gaze once more on the field, Palliser, it may be the last time we enjoy it."

One last moment of peace.
