I. Basic Information

» Appearance Written: Hono is a rather pale woman. She has long pink hair in which she keeps in pigtails with two black ribbons holding them in place,(though, in more formal scenarios she tends to wear it down). She has yellowish-brown eyes. Casually, She dons a dress that contains a mixture of red and white coloring, though red takes priority. The sleeves go down to her hands masking then slightly. The bottom of her dress is a darker color, measuring 9 from her knee. Hono also wears black leggings that start about 3 inches above her knee and reach down to her shoes. She wears simple white boots with a red ribbon attached to the back of her feet. On the breast of her dress, she wears a butterfly brooch with a pink gem located in the center. A bit below her shoulders are ribbons tied tightly around her sleeves. She stands at 5'5.

I. Personality

» Personality: Hono will often be described as a hot-headed, cold, and sarcastic shinigami. Hono is extremely independent liking to get her hand dirty and do things her self, she hates doing nothing, as such she rarely sits around and does nothing. The girl doesn't have the best manners and is extremely crude. The girl gets kicks out of teasing others. She can also be quite sadistic in combat scenario, while she has never seen real combat, she is quite squeamish, but will hide this fact deep.

Hono is quick to speak her opinion with the utmost bluntness, this can often cause her to get into trouble, but she doesn't seem to care. She is extremely brave, always with a determined attitude, not letting fear show on her outside. Hono can also be seen as rather intimidating, often using this to her advantage. While she may seem cold and teasing, Hono isn't a bully, willing to stop if things go too far.

The girl is gritty, she won't give up until she's dead. She wants to be useful to her allies, as such training for hours on end! If everyone is ten times as strong, she needs to train ten times stronger! The Shinigami respects individuals who don't abuse their power, she somewhat envies people who are powerful wanting to learn all she can.

Now we'll peel back the thick, rough exterior, we find a somewhat caring individual who values friends above others. Hono is a bit motherly, as she had to take charge and take care of friends back home. This translates to those she cares about, as she will go to extreme lengths to help a friend in need. She may seem rough on the exterior. Hono will often turn to friends for a shoulder to lean on when she needs it.

I. History

» History: here were two members of Gotei, Avan and Cosette. Both apart of the fourth division, Avan was rather short in stature with black hair, he was about 350 years old, appearing in his early 30s. While Cosette was a rather tall woman, her age was about 300 years appearing in her late 20s. The shinigami wanted a child, though they would need a lot of Reiatsu to produce a shinigami offspring. As such, they didn't attempt to conceive a child for quite some time. Though one day, a baby did come, the couple got worried, wondering if their child would be a pulse. All they could do was wait it out. Many months passed, surprisingly the child was a Shinigami! With pink hair like her mother and yellow eyes like her father.

The parents instantly fell in love with their new child. Taking a bit of leave to spend time with their daughter, but, all good things must come to an end. After about 2 months the parents had to return to their duties. Though tragedy struck the family, when Hono was 4 months old her parents were eaten by a Hollow on a mission. What was the Soul Society to do with a parentless child? The infant was soon taken to Rukongai where she would be adopted and raised by another family.

The Shinigami now had foster parents suddenly. Though thankfully they lived in the tenth district. Her father, a man named Gaius, with jet black hair with an average build was a kendo instructor in his past life. Her new mother a blonde named Milla was a singer at a cafe in her past life. Along with 2 younger siblings, Mizu her brother and Farah her sister. Hono was seen as the stern big sister, a bit clingy but well meaning.

Ever since she was a child she saw the Gotei go out on various missions. She always thought they were super cool! She wanted to join once she was older. Her parents were actually supportive of their daughter, despite what happened to her parents.

Gaius taught the various people in the 10th district the art of kendo, including his daughter. Hono enjoyed learning the skills from her father. Despite his age, Gaius still had some skills behind him. Though as the years would progress, his skills would slow down. Hono was very protective of the other children in her district, not just her brother and sister.

Not a lot happened for six years, though once Hono was 18 she returned to Seireitei to enroll in Shin'ō Academy! She did have a lot of fun surprises, despite the fact she was away from her parents and best friends. Though none the less she did find a few friends in her class, her father's kendo lessons served as a good starting point for sword training, she did pick up the unorthodox sword style of fencing. She performed quite well, though didn't break any records. Though her personality did get her on a bit of a watch list with the teachers. Her best subject had to be swordplay, she performed above most of her classmates, she was fast, using her speed to dodge and hit weak points with her thrusts. After graduating, she was now 24 years old, her eyes set on joining with the Gotei United just like she always dreamed!

» Zanpakutô Name: Kazagumowari [風雲裂, Cloud Splitter].

» Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance:


» Inner World: Kazagumowari's inner world takes the appearance of a vast hot dessert, where the sun always shines. Kazagumowai is found training herself here, the spirit punches and slashes through rocks, small structures and just about anything she can train herself on. The general weather is extremely hot, the sun blistering down is something Kazagumowai is use to, but a visitor might find very uncomfortable.


» Zanpakutô Appearance:

Kazagumowari takes the appearance of an Amazonian woman. With long white hair and only very simple clothes covering her body. A mechanical looking claw on her right arm. she represents the sheer will to achieve and break through your obstacles. She's quite a "diva" according to Hono. She wouldn't speak to Hono until she promised to get stronger, though Kazagumowari really doesn't speak much in general. She finally unlocked her abilities once Hono vowed to achieve her goals, Kazagumowari is nearly as stubborn as her master and just as determined.

I. Shikai

» Shikai Release Phrase: Break through, Kazagumowari.

» Shikai Release Action: Hono releases her Shikai by Hono dragging her sword against the ground, scraping it, the blade begins to crack and break, leaving behind the jagged edges and poor quality cleaver.

» Shikai Appearance: Her sword becomes a cleaver like blade with a jagged edge, as if the sword has been ground down over a rock and looks pretty poorly maintained. The blade is only 7 inches long with a very small hilt and no hand guard.

» Shikai Abilities: A short ranged melee-type Zanpakuto which at a glance does nothing more than trades her sealed Zanpkauto's length for more power which allow her to cleave things in two. That is the superficial aspect of her Zanpakuto, Hono's Shikai has more depth than being a simple slasher.

The jagged edge of her sword leaves tiny fragment of the sword inside targets that manages to slash. By verbalizing the command "rend" Hono causes the Shikai's ability to activate and the fragments of the sword inside all targets will burn up instantly. Anyone which is inflicted with the tiny fragments of the sword inside them will feel their whole body burning before making it as though the target is being attacked from the front and the back with an equal amount of force, increasing the chance of splitting the target cleanly in two as the two cuts will join in the middle and bifurcate them. The more fragments the stronger the attack.


»Shikai Weaknesses:
Durability: Hono's Zanpakuto requires that she actually get the fragments embedded in a target in order for the Shikai ability to work. If she cannot physically break through a target's defences then she loses a lot of offensive power.
Reach: Due to her Zanpakuto being a meat cleaver, Hono loses a lot of her initial sword length, her blade only being 7 inches long.
Simple: A simple Zanpakuto which is not incredibly encompassing, it is the single-minded will to overcome every obstacle in front of her manifested. In exchange for utility, it makes up for it with potency.
Indiscriminate: If by twist of fate the fragments end up inside of an ally, she cannot activate this ability without harming them as well as her enemies.
