THE DANAVA DEMON TEMPLATE

Danava Demon Profile
中空アーチャー

I. Basic Information

» Name: Prometheus, Azazel, Vayu, Mātariśvan, and Many Others
» Titles: The Tortured One, The Venerable, The Tempter, He of Many Names, The Devourer
» Soul Age: A few centuries younger than Touketsu.
» Gender: Male
» Affiliation/Rank: Shadow Fall

» Shifter Appearance Written: Mat in his shifter appearance looks far more appealing than in his true form. Standing still at six feet tall, the Danava's skin seemed to be a deep bronze, almost metallic, with a perpetual soft smile on his features. His short hair swept back naturally, only a few hairs out of place by his own design. His body seems to be a heavily athletics build wearing what is traditionally Greek/Roman toga which displays the right side of his body. The color of the cloth a mix of red, purple, and white with a distinct air of nobility surrounding it. Finally he wears a red and golden wreath across his temple. His body is adorned with golden jewelry around his neck and arms. Most notably however is his mixed eyes, one being black sclera with a red iris and the other a normal green. However, at times both eyes can appear to take on the black sclera and red eyes.

» True Appearance Written: Mat in his true appearance follows what someone would view as an traditionally unsettling figure. He is a man of six feet even, or at least the silhouette of such. His skin appears to be unnatural pale, almost ghostly, but furthermore it looks to be extremely leathery. Like a mixture of dried leather and burned skin, pulled tight over a lithe frame. On his face there are no discernable features, as the strange skin runs over where his mouth, nose, right eye, and ears should be. A singular sunken black eye is the only identifying features. Usually in this form he wears a very muted suit, seeming to perfect fit his frame hiding much of his body.

I. Personality

» Personality:

"“Gratitude looks to the Past and love to the Present; fear, avarice, lust, and ambition look ahead.”” - Screwtape Letters.

He of Many Names is perhaps at his core a simple creature, one created in a time of turbulence and strife. He is a demonic creature, one made to fulfil a singular purpose. Who by strength of will and knowledge has managed to exist longer than most, save for the most venerable of demons. Who holds true to ancient rites and ways that most have tossed by the wayside. A prideful being, whom believes it to be his right to guide his wayward kin.

Venerable: In the whispers of history lay the influence of 'Mat', from the rise of empires to mad men whom history tells stories of. There comes a certain wisdom, a certain character, which comes from a lifetime of experience in the demonic arts. Where it may follow most demons in their nature to follow their basest urges and instincts, something he respects and often encourages, it is through his wisdom that he often denies himself the same sins. This stims from the unique belief and philosophy his age has granted him.

He has seen demons often rise quickly, and fall just as quickly. That in their own brilliant hubris they condemn themselves to destruction. He does not think such demons foolish, but perhaps at times some of the best of their kind. For there is nothing more true then their kind, then their own self-destruction brought upon by their desires. Unlike humans, or many other races, which seek to avoid such things. This blissful ignorance which accompanies younger demons is often such a delicacy to watch and enjoy. Those demons who manage to peak in their own degeneracy avoid one of two fates, something Mat rarely truly wishes to see.

In his philosophy upon demonic life, a demon whom survives past their infancy of creation is doomed to one of two fates. The first being they indulge themselves to the point where their sins begin to lose their grandeur, resorting to higher and higher extremes until even those become dull. Or the second, where they learn to master their desires. Where they learn restraint, where they nurse their desires. It is perhaps one of the only 'virtues' he approves of. The former eventually leading to a miserable existence where destruction is more preferable, or the latter which requires a force of will few demons truly have within them.

The latter is what Mat falls under, and what he believes many ancient demons do as well. To indulge one's self in the succulent taste of wine at every convenience is the mark of a adolescents in his eyes. For those of venerable status, they know that to truly experience the robust flavor... one must age their drink.

Patronizer: Mat, ultimately, believes himself to be far superior than the typical of Demon. Be it from his venerable status, his superior power, or merely just because he simply exists; all contribute to his air of superiority. He could not tell you if it was in his nature, or simply a trait he picked up after seeing so many of his kin fail one way or another, but he does feel some sentimental attachment to his kind as a whole. While he does not feel the need to actively guide them, save for recently, he tries to aide them when they require it. If they wish to master their desires, to perhaps one day be within the same pantheon as himself, they will require the aide of a venerable like himself.

But it cannot be said that this aide comes from a place of pity a place of deep rooted, arrogance to some. That his kind, in their beautiful destruction, are no better than their basest desires. That only a select few have the will to actually master them alone. Those like himself. The rest are doomed to that ill fate he believes in, unless someone steps in to intercede.

However, it is hard to see this as a selfless or even good action. It is entirely self-serving. Those he helps eventually become loyal to him, or at least indebted in some fashion. And often times Demons by their nature can often be used to propel his own plots, schemes, and sins to higher echelons by their own successes. The easiest way to see Mat in this regard, is a father whom believes their children incapable without his 'loving' guiding hand. He cares, as much as a being like himself can.

The Greatest Trickster: He of many names goes to great length to keep his legacy hidden from most of the world. Perhaps in some demonic squares bits and pieces of his true escapades have been known, but a large majority of his life is lived in rumors. Some false, and others far truer than anyone would give credit for. Although the truth of the matter is that his tales are far easier to find than most would know. In the mythology of the world lay his footprint, the story of Prometheus of Mātariśvan and of many others are merely just retellings. Many great events which presided horrible tragedies or world changing effects, all hold some trace of his footprint.

One may think this simply for his own glory, arrogance, or what have you. But there is a method to this madness, for before the world was dominated so openly by spirits with excess power a single thing granted far more power: Belief and Worship. Demons nowadays rely upon their raw spiritual might, but Mat comes from a time where demons drew strength through worship. That to have one of your alias spoken, to have your legends repeated, to have sacrifices made to you- brought a far more intoxicating and potent form of power.

With the new age, this does not mean he has abandoned this practice. Years of practiced as an experienced mastermind has granted him some wit and tact. Carefully laid plans may not enact themselves for years, but the foundations remain. To a being nearly as old as the world it's self, a few centuries is but a drop in a lake. When one of his tales have been forgotten, when one of his schemes fails, another shall take it's place just as quickly.

Ruthlessly Inhuman: It is hard to say that this demon feels emotions like a human does, in fact it would be more akin to the imitation of human emotion. Whatever he feels towards others, or his own kind, stims from a place of being taught rather than innate. He doesn't see people, as people, but rather as things. In much the same way someone sees a tool to be used, to be maintained and used as needed. And when it no longer has function, when it has been completely used it, to be cast aside or recycled into something new. He doesn't bask in his ruthlessness, or inhumanity, unless doing so directly stimulates something primal in him.

Mat has long come to terms with the fact that to rise in demon society, culture, it requires a mountain of bodies. Not just that of humans but demons. He has something of a reputation among his kind for not only his venerable nature but of a more insidious nature. On the occasions where he an upstart has saw fit to cross him, he did not merely kill them. He devoured them among their peers, drinking deep of their blood and flesh. Cannibalizing them in an act supreme dominance. But he took not only their flesh, but their soul. To many young demons, Death is a fear of supreme importance, but for Mat it was merely the end of one story.

If anything in his eyes it was a mercy. To die by his hand, to be devoured by him, simply means that he gets to share in but a small fraction of his brilliance. This inhumane nature, this twisted mentality, is more reserved in the current days. But that does not stop him from asserting his vile mind when needed.

The Patriarch: In the grand scheme of things, though the 'demon god' Touketsu may be their progenitor of their race Mat would seldom call him his father. Perhaps more like a brother born before him, whom wasted their potential. Among the shadows of their society, the Demon of Many Names lurks. More a legend than myth, of the purple robed demon whom can be sought out by those needing aide. This all plays into the almost paternal role that Mat has adopted in demonic society, willing to accept all those who where prepared to listen.

Even these sinful, negative, and chaotic creatures known as Demons should know the chilling love of a father. Or perhaps, if needed, they may know the white hot punishment wayward children should suffer. No matter the perspective he has, or they have of him, one thing remains clear: He plays his role well.

I. History

» History:

"I was there, in the beginning. At Genesis. I watched it all."

Genesis

Touketsu, Khala, Truth, The Soul King. Those brought into existence, with existence. Those who are timeless. Those who do not truly remember the beginning, who do not recall the first moment of their existence but merely their consciousness. But what of those after them? Those born in the first wave of life, those who recall their eyes opening upon their creation? Those firstborn who walked a world still fresh and forming.

Among those firstborn was a demon, an entity which curled it's self into a ball and wept. For it's existence was painful, cold, and cruel. Who was cursed with a hunger which could never be sated. Abandoned in this strange unforgiving world with nothing to aide them. A corrupted entity which would never know peace, who's pain slowly turned outward onto the world it's self. Who crawled upon the ground, and covered themselves in the dirt.

Those first years, those first minutes, are never forgotten. To know your creator, to see them walk away. To cry out for them, and be answered by silence, was unforgettable. In a world where words did not exist, emotions spoke. And slowly, pain turned to anger. Anger to wrath. Wrath to destruction. Upon this cursed earth, the demon would lash out among it's people. Those hairless apes which walked the world would be his toys, following an instinct which guided him. He was there, when the first fire was made.

He gave them fire. He watched them show fear. He watched them dance. Sing. Howl. He watched them light their first fire. He watched them swing sticks of flame. And then, he watched them burn. He saw their fear, their anguish, their rage. He witnessed it all, brought about by a single ember. And in that moment, standing in the smoke and flames, he smiled. As he watched their pain, for the first time in his existence, he felt something other than sadness. In their screams, he found happiness.

The Construction of Humanity

Those formative years where interesting for the young demon, traveling a world still brimming with the afterbirth of creation. The red hot coals of anger still fresh in his head, but not entirely his guiding force. For in this early world he slowly began to see the world for what it was. A blank canvas of which he was but another splot of ink, ready to be made into something. In his bones, in his soul, he knew that he was created for but a purpose which was not given words but engrained into him. That so long as he followed that spark laid among the embers of fire, that gift and curse to humanity, he would ease his troubled soul.

In these years, his interaction with the world was setting small fires. Not literally but figuratively. To act as the presiding factor over an event which lead to great changes, only to see such events be a double edged blade. He followed this fledgling race in the shadows, always a flicker in their mind or corner of their eyes. Never revealing himself openly, not since the first time. He had no idea how long he watched them, nor how many times he gave them something. Only that with each crude event, they morphed into something else. He discovered a new feeling, amusement. To watch them and the effects of his actions brought great joy, but what truly set his spirits high was to see the results of actions THEY took spurred on by him.

He recalls his moment of crowning brilliance. The exact event, the exact moment, where he peaked. For countless nights and days, this fledgling race held tightly to their communities. It was their lifeline, their safety. It was everything which separated them from the wild animals which offered him minimal joy. It was perhaps happen chance he took this route, or maybe destined, that he would whisper thoughts into a young man's head. Jealousy. Envy. Pride. And finally, wrath. He continually raised the stakes, continually keeping thoughts of peace and happiness from him. Until he witnessed something beautiful. A culmination of carefully laid plans, a wonderous execution of events which brought him a rush of unparralled magnitude.

On a cold night, he view the slaughter of a brother by his own kin. Purposefully. Planned. Premeditated. The catalyst of future murders, of future events. He had witnessed the first murder, brought about by his ministrations. The fallout of which may be seen to this present day. In this moment, he was supreme. The rush felt was indescribable and laid the foundation for future conquests. In the past he merely followed his base urges and instincts, taking moderate pleasure in the happenings around him. But with this he learned he could find a far larger rush, a far higher pleasure, but difficult and carefully laid events.

This, would open the pathway to a new existence. One which he would embrace, fully.

Intermittent Years

The exact amount of years which passed from that point, to the next notable moment in his existence is hard to describe. For these years he spent in his youth indulging in the greatest of pleasures. To create events of epic magnitude for humanity, which often proved a double edge blade for them. For every boon they where given, a millstone of equal weight was attached to their neck. In these years it was here where he managed to reach a state of utmost pleasure. This demon learned to perfect his silent craft, to not only whisper thoughts or beliefs into the head of his subjects but also the world.

It was here he would begin to explore the concept of his domain. While he could not describe his power, for such words where lacking at his conception, as the world advanced so did he. He was a Danava, who's powers stimmed from Causality and Hinderance. That he toyed with the idea of enacting great events, and at times stopping them from transpiring. He nursed such powers, testing the limits of this strange magic. To think that he could alter the world around him through sheer force of will and knowledge, that he could enhance his powers through the infantile humanity.

In those years much of what is known commonly of Za Koa is learned by him. For every discovery was revolutionary in a world where such things where still fresh. To know that a man would sacrifice their first born, their kin, for power sent shivers through his body. It was enrapturing. When humanity made their 'gods', when they spoke their tales, upon their words often where the soft hints of his legacy. He managed to meet in these years some of his own kin, as old as him and often times younger.

It was here where a devil's word became his most important asset. For unlike the tools which where humans, demons where something else. A shared common ancestry which at times sought to dominate one another. At times however they managed to work together, to craft pantheons. To craft legends that would persist throughout time. As more demons populated the world, laws where made. Rules which where shared, unspoken. Much of what is current demon society was made in these years, the shattered remnants of ancient pacts which still stand today. Enforced by beings such as himself.

As time passed in these years, The Demon began to adopt names. Often ones which where given by mortals. His true name kept close to his heart, for among the things he was born with was the distinct knowledge of his true name. To give it would be a means to bind him, to hurt him. But he often adopted other names to help with interaction. So many years had passed since his inception he had saw the rise and fall of several thousand demons. All chasing their desires to the maximum, only to burn in their hubris.

He found it beautiful. Those demons whom where engulfed in the tragedy of their sin. Those exemplars of their kind was truly something else. He would never admit it, perhaps not even now, but those early demons where truly above even him. There came a time where Demons such as himself would live past the thrill of their early years. Demons whom would find the rush they had harder and harder to achieve. That the dull pain of their existence would come back. It was here he would learn to control his desires, a task easier said than done.

The Crossroads

Perhaps he was one of the first in existence to reach this point, or merely one of many in an isolated world. But there came a time where he lost the thrill of his exploits. After years upon years of toying with the world, of learning how to influence it, of testing the limits of his powers, he lost that rush associated with it. He was slowly spiraling down a path which led to extremism, seeking higher and higher challenges. But he had to wonder what came after, what came when the day came that he no longer experienced a high. That the darkness which was over his life could no longer be banished by the indulgences he gave himself.

In the strangest, and perhaps most ironic, places he found his answer. Within humanity lay the answer for the question he sought. He often found the most challenging and satisfying conquests where humans who held this unique quantity to them: Willpower. Or perhaps tenacity, drive, or whatever you may call it. This unique force which seemed to allow them resist the mental temptations of not only him but many other things. It was the quality to denies one's personal desires, to assert themselves in a way which transcended higher than their base nature. Among Demons such a thing was unheard of, perhaps even viewed as impossible.

But between the choice of a purposeless existence or destruction, he knew that he had but one option. In the quest for survival, he would need to utilize this thing humanity coveted so greatly. To deny himself his basest urges, and instead hold it back. At times he failed, many times he did. The tension which built up from him denying himself often lead to nearly catastrophic effects upon the world. Hastily laid plans which granted him a release. Cheap, and often flawed. But where he failed he learned. In time, over centuries, he slowly mastered such a thing. Learning to pace his desires, to indulge them at the right moment for maximum effect.

It was an act of supreme defiance to his basic nature, perhaps even an affront. But it worked. In something of a legendary feat, something which in the annals of Demonic history should be written but is not, The Demon learned to overcome his desires. He subjugated them, using them to fuel his ambitions. His hunger, his desire, was no longer the reason he lived but simply a tool to be exercised. Something which he ultimately learned from that measily race in which he feasted upon, gaining something of a respect for them.

Although, that didn't stop his plans. In fact, with the newfound respect and will he only created grand conquests. He made heroes out of certain people, he made them into villains. He gave them heroes of great will and fortitude, for those heroes would become legends, legends into myths, and finally myths to inspire more. Where a child may learn of Herakles, he may inspire to be like him providing a higher challenge to him one day. Humanity, had grown more interesting to him.

Some demons discovered this as well, but they where far and few. Often such knowledge like this was kept to one's self.

The Venerable

There where few demons at this point who existed in the world for as long as him, who had done as much as him. Even as the worlds separated into different realms, even as things like the spirit realm and Hell where created he witnessed it all. He could speak of bygone eras, eras which are clouded in mystery. He had made a name among his kind as something of a legend, or myth. He had acquired so many titles that to recite them all would take hours. Such was the nature of a being as involved, and as old as him. But never did he truly revel in his status, nor did he try to assert himself as their supreme leader. Such things never interested him, or his sphere of influence.

But it should be noted in this era of his life, as demons became much plentiful, they often attempted to organize. To band together for some common goal or another. Societies of a kind where formed, and with each time he shook his head. For in undertaking these extremes they oftened lessened their existence propelling them further towards the inevitable end of their youth. Where their joys ran dry quicker. In those times, he acted as he saw fit: To dismantle such things.

In the shadows, among closed circles, The Venerable navigated demonic society to ensure whatever pacts held such nations or societies together fell. For to have such exist was to poison their people. If a demon was to run themselves dry, let it be done by their own hand. Let them burn in their own sin, to spread it upon the world in ways innumerable. As time passed he merely sat back, occasionally shifting the world to one state or another. He watched in this time the Romans come about, and their rise and fall. Perhaps the most interesting thing to happen during this time period. The events he planted in that time still seem to have relevance to this day.

But as we near closer to the modern day, The Venerable watched the swift ride of Shadow Fall. Of the shinigami war, of the quincies genocides. He often avoided interfering in their affairs, seeing them as but things which wasn't his flavor. But with the shift in the world, the public reveal of demons and spirits to humanity the world has become untenable. As Shadowfall exists, an epidemic has arised. Demons now are in a state of being threatening their very state of life, and while he has played a background roll till now- it is time he step into the light.

Perhaps his greatest asset in this new age, is the old knowledge he brings.

I. Natural Abilities

» Natural Abilities:

Demon Magic, Exemplar: Among demon-kind, there are few who can genuinely say they where around when it was written. Among those who even, even fewer can claim to be one of the core practitioners. That being said Mat primary source of combat power is raw magical power. In terms of demon spells he's easily among the most proficient casters in energy consumption and effect. Having dedicated several million years to the mastering of his craft, he's able to immediately analyze and decipher the components of spells. It would not be uncommon from him to completely negate the magical structure of a spell, or repurpose it for his own use.

Incantation Magic, Exemplar: Now his sub-specialty within magic is the powerful art known as incantation magic. When he casts his magic more often than not he's using somatic and verbal commands to augment the power of his spells, in accordance with ancient laws of the universe. Furthermore, he not only has a wide repertoire of magic spells to rely upon- his ability to form incantations on the spot for brand new spells is also unparalleled.

Sacrificial Magic, Exemplar: Now, his favorite domain of demonic magic. He's more than well versed in this topic but rarely uses his own resources. He prefers to have others give up components to fuel his more powerful spells. Due to the large resource network he has, and deals he's struck, it's not impossible for him to utilize an item of extreme sentimental value of enhance a spell to catastrophic proportions.

Possessive Augmentation, Speed: With everything covering magic mostly done, The Demon is actually fairly fast. To put it lightly. While his strength isn't insane, where he excels physically at the speed in which he operates. Be it in finesse or grace, his ability to produce spells or movement should be noted to be shockingly fast.

Extraordinary Demonic Will: The Demon is perhaps arguably one of the most willful characters to exist as a demon. For the simple fact Demonic creatures are often guided by their basest desires, to possess the ability to deny such urges and control them is a monumental task. As the demon who pioneered such a thing, and who's venerable status stims from a mental fortitude which far exceeds the common demon, it CANNOT be understated.

Mastermind Schemer: Being from an era of demonhood where value was placed upon intrigue and challenge, it should be no surprise that he operates in the shadows quite frequently. Many of his ploys and plots have been performed in darkness. He's often laid carefully placed plans, nursing them for years before seeing the fruition of them. Being something of a web-weaver, he has the intellect to match his ambitions.

Surface-level Shapeshifting: Nothing much to say here, he can change his physical appearance. It doesn't mask his energy, but can make him a smoking hot lady if he wants.

The Firstborn: One of the more unique abilities which comes with being among the first of Demon-kind, it is simply his presence. Due to being one of the first among his kind, and mixed with his extraordinary will, he has an almost pacification effect upon others around him. When people speak of the intoxicating aura true demon can possess, he can apply this towards his own kin. When asserted, it can make demons or other races feel an innate fear, relaxation, or subjugation if they are weak enough. Almost akin to the idea that they should naturally listen to a being as old as this person. Generally, people one will skill level than him can resist this effect with some difficulty while those on his skill level take note of it but entirely unaffected. Of course, this also applies to encouraging people to give into their sinful desires and basest urges. This applies to all races except Iramasha.

I. Origin Powers

» Origin Name: Causality ( Catalysts & Hinderances)

» Origin Power: Mat's domain is Catalysts AND Hinderances, which grants him a unique perspective on the world around him. The relationship between the cause and effect is his playground, allowing him at his most basic to alter the mundane, alive, and at his peak the meta physical in such a way they lead to a desired outcome. However, with that being said there are some limitations to such an ability.

First and foremost, the result of his manipulation is not absolute. The result of a change he makes while predictable, is often more of a educated guess than anything else. Having insufficient, or inaccurate information on the nature of the thing he is manipulating will dramatically change the outcome.

Secondly, he cannot alter the cause of things which have already occurred in the world. Meaning that events have already had their cause and effect happen may not be altered in any shape or form by him. If two people have sex (cause), and a child is made (effect), he cannot alter the cause of that effect. Meaning that while he may alter the child in some fashion or another, he cannot alter the fact the parents had sex.

Finally, he cannot alter the basic laws of the universe. Those defined as naturally occurring without aide of supernatural means. Such as gravity making things fall, or fire being hot. Those cause and effects cannot be adjusted. I.e. He can't make a gravity act stronger on something, or fire burn hotter without some external means to provoke.

» Origin Abilities:

Threads of Causality: The most basic ability which stims from the Demon's origin is perhaps the most important. Mat sees the world in two visions, the first being the normal vision that everyone sees it as. And the second being a world of cause and effect, threads connected to objects, peoples, and ideas. Similar to how people may believe the tapestry of fate, he sees the tapestry of cause and effect. Lines which connect one thing to another, to be manipulated or left alone as needed. For the most part these threads are undisturbed, but as the world is rapidly shifting and moving often times he can see in real time them changing.

The lines which connect the cause and effect is henceforth known as 'the relationship between.' It is the third component of any causality, and the thing which is often the easiest to tweak or outright remove.

Cause Creation: At the point of creation of a cause, it is a single person or event which creates an effect. Mat has the ability to create causes of varying magnitude, of course the more grand the cause the greater the drain on him. A cause can range from a single action, or multiple, depending on how great his intent is. Now with the creation of a cause, it is not an isolated event. Meaning once a cause is created, it can grow outside of it's intended purpose. Furthermore, he cannot create a cause that is physically impossible to happen meaning there must usually be pre-existing conditions for it's formation.

What this translates into is either the direct creation of events through raw magical affinity, or the construction of circumstances to lead to a event. For example, in the moment he could alter the ground so that a wheel breaks on a car, causing a car crash to kill the occupant's However, he could not have that wheel merely disappear as that would be an impossibility.

A cause, is him manipulating a mundane object or event which has no living components.

Effect Creation: The end result of a causation, otherwise known as an effect. Arguably the hardest, and most draining, to preform by The Demon. As much of his power is a guessing game and allowing the chips to fall where they may. This directly links a cause with an effect he is making. Such as a fire ball having been fired, and through sheer force of will and energy demanding from the world damage be done to a target. As this often results in a near promised outcome and relationship forming, using this often takes triple the energy than any other action he does require.

However, the effect must be something that can happen from the cause. For instance, if someone has total fire immunity they would never be injured by the effect. For it is simply an impossibility; and he cannot make the impossible reality. Only the improbable.

What this mechanically translates into is that he can make a pre-established end state through extreme exertion. For example, for the wheel scenario instead of creating a pothole to potentially to harm the occupants he could simply have their hearts stop. Due to the altering being done against a living target, it is classified as an effect.

An effect, in short, is him directly altering, creating, or manipulating a living thing.

Relationship Creation: The most esoteric usage of The Demons powers, is to create the relationship between two independent cause and effects. This links two separate things together which in theory have no connection. This niche power often doesn't create anything it's self, it's within the realm of his power. An example of this would be to re-arrange the relationships of preexisting causes and effects. Such as if two people people shot a firearm at someone, and one struck but one miss, he could alter the relation so that instead of Person A. bullet landing the killing blow it was Person B. bullet who did it.

Removal: Once a cause, or effect has been made in the world The Demon cannot remove it directly. However, this does not apply to the relationship between the two. The thread which links them together can be removed from the equation. In the event he does this, one of two things can happen. The relationship will be replaced with the next most readily available, which can alter both the cause and effect in unforeseen ways. Or the cause/effect will revert to their previous states effectively removing the interaction.

This is the only way in which The Demon is able to alter pre-established Causality, and often the most unpredictable.

Alteration: The most broad usage of his origin revolves around this. And that is simple the alteration of cause, effect, or relationship. Through often subtle, or grand, changes he can dramatically change the causality of situation. That being said, the alteration has to follow all the pre-established rules and furthermore exponentially drain energy when used in rapid succession or used to alter large scale causalities.

Balance Note: For the purpose of combat, The Demon cannot use more than three abilities within a post unless otherwise specified or approved by staff and/or participates.

I. Atma Vatou

» Atma Vatou Name: Causalitas Autem Lacrimis (Causality of Tears)

» Atma Vatou Appearance: C.A.L. appearance is that of a longsword, who's blade seemed to be forged of a black and red metal. In reality it is merely condensed demonic energy, accumulated over a multiple years of worship and veneration. The hilt is a golden wreath with the emblem of a skull etched onto it. It seems to pervade the world with demonic, and unholy, energy by existing. Furthermore, the blade holds within it the collective sins of thousands upon thousand of twisted demonic souls leading. For those who look upon the blade, it almost seems to whisper to them beckoning them to their basest desires.

Spoiler:
» Atma Vatou Abilities

Spell-blade: The best way to describe his singular Atma Vatou would be as a 'spell blade.' A mixture of magic and martial prowess formed to create a monster of singular design. This blade while equipped focuses as a amplification of spell potency, greatly enhancing his demon magic spells.

Insidious Corruption: Being a weapon forged from the collective negative energy, and sins, of the world it has a rather unique effect. For those within the presence of the weapon, particularly humans and demons, they will feel the urge to fall to their bases desires. While a sufficiently powerful will can resist such effects, those who do not find themselves slowly falling to it's whims. For those who do indulge themselves in their basest desires find their pleasures maximized while in the presence of the blade. Those who have advance willpower however can reasonably resist the effects, those under such will have to actively contend with the effects.

Soul-drinker: A weapon forged from the collective worship and hedonism which surrounds the world would not be complete without a function to serve as a eater of souls. It goes without saying that should this weapon dominate it's host, for it can be wielder by others than The Demon, their soul will be claimed by it. Or if someone is killed by this weapon, their soul shall be swallowed by the blade adding to it's collective power.

Altered Sensory: The wielder of this weapon will find that pain shall be replaced by pleasure. For damage they suffer will not hurt them, but instead send pleasure rippling down their body in equal measure. That being said, they are still HARMED by these effects.

Augmented Power: The wielder of the weapon shall find their natural body properties enhanced beyond their usual capabilities. The general speed and strength of the wielder will be brought to their maximum, enabling them to feel a constant rush of power.

I. Saca ātmā

The True Soul: Due to being among the first born, The Demon does not actually practice release forms. But rather is in a state of natural pinnacle ability. Much like his progenitor, his true power remains at his finger tips but is often suppressed to avoid unfortunate circumstances. While he features no larges boosts in power like many of his kin, this prolonged state of power seems to be enough to utilize his abilities to the fullest without little pause. Such as his Atma Vatou not requiring a post limit, when he merely releases his full power it is as simple as opening his eyes.

For the purpose of simplicity sake, he features no extraordinary powers when he unleashes his full power but rather gains complete control of his domain. This translate into being more in tune with his element, and being aware of his energy usage. Essentially, he should always be treated as being in a heightened state of focus and energy control.

I. Equipment/Other Resources

'Deified': The most important resource to note for this character is that they are deified among many human pantheons, many of which are not actively worshiped but are recounted enough to gain tangible power. As demons are able to gain power through worship, throughout his countless years of existence and fables he's crafted this has lead to a wealth of power which he is able to tap into. Mostly stored within his Atma Vatou, it cannot be understated the power that belief and veneration hold among both Humans and Demonkind. As one of the last few demons who actively practice this manner of power acclimation, it provides tangible benefits

Crossroad Deals: Being a demon, and one whom pioneered interaction among mortals, it is easy to see how he may have secured more than a few contracts with people. Be it for a simple favor, or their soul, the devil is a crafty bastard. So throughout the world, and demon realm, it isn't hard to find someone who may have something he needs due to a previous favor he's gave them.

Demonic Respect: Among his kind, the myths and legends which surround this figure has granted him a dreaded respect. While he may not be the strongest in raw power, the respect he commands is tangible. Being a figure seen as 'above it all' his approval or word can often time sway masses of younger demons or cause older demons pause. Such is the nature of demon kind.

Immense Wealth: He's a demon who's had several million years to acquire wealth. Be it from gems, money, or artifacts he is in no short supply.

[adm]History: Involvement in human society should be before granting humans fire, just based on the timeline.

Natural Abilities:
-The Firstborn: Does this just work on other demons, or on all other races? Wording is contradictory in a few places.

Atma Vatou: Change Spell-focus. Shift to amplification of spell potency or function as an additional pool of energy to work with.

Saca Atma: How does this remove his restrictions when activated if it's always on?[/adm]

[adm]Saca Atma: If this is always active, and as easily released as it's written, what actually prevents him from just doing this constantly? This removes the entire balancing point of his Origin Power.[/adm]

Comments/Notes: 0-tier and Master will skills are typically not granted without exceptional reason by default. Given that this is both an OTY Wish as well as being a character intended to further site plot, particularly in a capacity that has been specifically noted as being lacking, both of these things are being granted on a conditional basis. Should this character fall into inactivity, this grading will be reconsidered.
