Like Mother, Like Daughter [Private: Arianda, Calypso] - Page 2 Empty Re: Like Mother, Like Daughter [Private: Arianda, Calypso]

Song: Funkyard - By: Arrowhead & Zentra - Word Count: N/A

Such a nice day it was, proclaiming her daughter as her own; and as a Vael in name, and not just blood. It made Ari so giddy; spending the rest of the day with her lovable daughter. It was such a good day... One that would be hard for Arianda to forget. As Arianda talked with, hugged, cuddled, embraced, and loved her daughter; it was hard to ignore the thoughts that played with her imagination. The most powerful of such was Arianda imagining what things would have been like if Ari had raised Calypso from the start; how she would have such a different outlook on life... How she never would have expected abuse from a mother or a sibling. Speaking of, Ari would have to introduce Caly to her half-sister, Aki. One day, perhaps... this wasn't the time. It was better to ease her into it all.

And ease Ari did, spending the whole day, and night, with her daughter; even sleeping with her in the same bed. She did not wish for Calypso to sleep on the couch, nor elsewhere; with enough insisting, she was now in her pajamas, sound asleep, and had her arms wrapped around her daughter in such a loving embrace. Perhaps Ari was a tiny bit overbearing... but, her joy was so potent, it made sense why she felt like so all day. Indeed, she did not hear Calypso utter her name; but she did gently stir, mumbling her name fondly as she pressed her face into her daughter. Such a kind soul Ari was, despite the things Mana had done to her... despite her past influences. Oh, how she loved her daughter.

How much Ari knew that if Algos came for Caly again... she would find a way to make Algos suffer the greatest pain, the greatest suffering, in her entire life; to never die despite such things. It was a dark thought... one brought from Ari's protective instincts; but, they were things cast to the wayside as Arianda dreamed. She had dreamed so wonderfully, so vividly; even if she knew it not to be real.

She dreamed of raising Caly, from a baby, as her own; raising the girl as a Vael from the very start. It was quite a wholesome dream, one that Caly would likely see given her powers; but that was okay. It was a good dream, one that may be a little heart wrenching. It shouldn't even make Caly feel guilty. After all, how was she supposed to come to Ari earlier to be raised by her? It was not possible, after all. But, that didn't matter to Ari's dreams. She simply dreamed of better things for her daughter; some things that were still possible this day. Even if Caly was older, it was still quite possible for her to be raised as Ari's own; even if she couldn't be raised from birth, she certainly still could be Arianda's daughter. And Arianda would love her unconditionally, no matter what.

------

Meanwhile, in the depths of Ari's mind; a certain adorable biscuit known as Amphilogiai jumped from one mindscape to another. She dashed towards what she knew to be her sister Pseu. Some part of her... Some part of her knew she wasn't doing well; but she wanted to see her beyond all believe. It had been years, and she had missed Pseu So... soo much.
