Psychological Analysis» Avid Learner:
An curious soul at heart, that is Eri. She actively pursues knowledge when something becomes interesting to her. The issue is for something to take her interest in the first place, most things are boring to her which is unfortunate when one considers how eager she can be towards learning when she dedicates herself. One can never force her into liking something, it has to come naturally and when that happens she tries to understand it as much as she can.» Free Spirit:
Nothing can really hold her down, she's as free as she is fickle with things. Drifting from interest to interest for herself but never really held down by anything. One can argue she is arrogant in her approach to floating carelessly through things due to her nobility but she'd argue against it, instead just finding that restricting one's life to narrow ideas is a stupid pursuit. Options are good you know.» Little Spoilt:
Coming from not one but two noble families it is expected that Eri never really understood the perspective of people who come from less. She is aware that people have ire towards her for her privileged life but can never really figure it out. She was not born in the Rukongai and never knew many struggles that souls went through. That makes her a little naive towards people's own problems and come off as blunt or selfish unintentionally.» Kind Heart:
Regardless of her status or upbringing, she's not evil. She has a soft spot for kids or people that can't help themselves. If she saw a person in trouble then she'd show compassion, regardless of if they were a friend or a stranger to her. That leads to her being generous and putting herself in a tighter spot for another. Compassion is the basis of her moral compass, if you give someone help then you are accepting some of their sufferring in exchange for that. For Eri that is a pretty noble way to live, right?» Gossip Girl:
A sucker for gossip and is somewhat problematic. It's not that she's exceptionally gullible but when it comes to rumours, she is more more likely to believe them if they sound like they could be correct and not consider whether or not those rumours about someone might be true or not. It is often times the cause of many of her misunderstandings or creating an image of somewhat that may not represent them properly. It also » Little Judgmental:
A subtle thing is her judgemental attitude, she doesn't openly spout it however she does keep it to herself unless prompted. Examples are picking on people's appearance and having high standards, whether that is he looks too old or she's a bit too petite. Eri's not malicious by these but she does think highly of these ideas she has in her head which can be frustrating when she judges things either too quickly or too harshly.» Fairly Stubborn:
Eri doesn't like it when someone makes her feel stupid or make the suggestion that she's wrong. This manifests as her dogmatic attitude that is the cause of issues for her, if she is challenged about being wrong then she is more likely to defend that position regardless of whether its true or not. Once she has made an opinion then she will cling to that opinion and resist changing from it which creates friction with people and only after she has done damage does she feel bad and reflect on that situation.
Born with a golden spoon in her mouth, Eri is the daughter of parents that come from the Tsunayashiro and the Kasumioji families. The former being one of the Four Great Noble Families and the other being considered as to being just below them in presitige. Her mother was of the Kasumioji and her father of the Tsunayashiro who married out of it. Regardless though, Eri birth was no small matter for the grand scheme of the political scene.
For most of her life she was just that, a noble girl. The princess and golden egg produced by two prestigious families. There was never any reason for her to try or exert herself nor did she ever have to work for anything in life. This led to a feeling of neglect and loneliness though, with her life mostly being a guilded box that was away from the rest of the world. Eri rarely saw her parents and her babysitter was more like a mother to her than her real mother. Her attendants were the closest things to friends she could say she had.
It was nice though. She would always tell herself that when she felt lonely or unsatisfied, if one thing bored her then she could just swap to something else and take that up as her new hobby and rinse and repeat. There was no need to ever really try and do anything because someone else would always do it for her. Just smile. Just be there. That was all she had to do.
She'll never let on how old she is to people, it changes everytime she's asked actually. It makes her feel better if she doesn't think about how much time she was left to sit in her nice little box and be deprived of experiences for the sake of her pedigree.
When it ended though it was like a miracle, the secure bubble popped and she had the ability to be independent after the events of Demon Incursion and all those that proceeded after it. Eri understood it was a tragedy, a very sad one but it might've been the happiest moment when she was able to use it as an excuse to expand her horizons and a year later she was in the Shin'o Academy allowed to finally see the world she didn't really understand entirely for herself.
Being a naive noble is hard though and not something she could exist as, somethings changed and some didn't. New things gained and others lost. The academy and the independence she had lead into a period of her figuring out what she wanted out of life and even in the present she cannot say that she really understands what she wants out of things but it doesn't really matter, she'll figure them out for herself as she goes.
POWERS AND ABILITIES» Secrets of Construction:
Being born into the Kasumiōji made it natural that she would be raised in knowledge of the clan's understanding of construction and forging. It is not something she demonstrates often though she keenly can understand something's structure and the engineering process behind it. One might say she is incredibly good at it and could be much better if it was actually an interest of her's to pursue but it is not and more often than not she will neglect to show it to people; there's no point in taking pride in something you don't really care about. Right?» Kasumiōji Forging Method:
Eri is learned in the secret forging methods of the Kasumiōji Clan, it is meant to be done over a process which can take weeks to months for a perfect result. Eri does not have that kind of patience though and utilises it to create objects in the immediate moment which are designed to be created for a short period of time and then return to nothing.
It's an incredibly ineffecient way to do the process as she is using more energy to create something from nothing which will fade away rather than using it for the true purpose of reinforcing something that already exists and will not disapear. While it does serve it's purpose, Eri's often reminded by her family of this fact but continues to utilise it stubbornly.
Using the Kasumiōji forging technique she is able to generate weapons which can last a short amount of time before disappearing into energy again. They are temporary however these will typically last a couple of days after forming so they do not immediately disappear though as the days progress they will become increasingly brittle and fragile. Eri prefers to limit it to throwing projectiles however she could realistically generate more traditional weapons, the benefit to throwing weapons is they are typically smaller and so it doesn't require as much energy to generate.
She can apply the greater uses of reinforcing materials or transmuting them like subtle manipulations of properties in regards to her steel fabric to make it able to be wielded like normal light fabric before increasing its weight exponentionally to force a target into a tight spot.
EQUIPMENT & INVENTORYGinjōtan [銀条反, Inverted Silver Stripe]:
A steel-like fabric that is incredibly heavy, often used for training by being adding weight to the user. It is used by Sui-Feng to anchor herself for when she uses her bankai though Eri uses it for combat purposes. By incorporating it into her upbeat and fast paced fighting style that gets her moving around her opponents she weaves fabric around a target before getting them locked down and at her mercy. The material is incorporated into her uniform, being present as both her obi which has a tail that extends down to her feet to be used as a whip in combat and also another long length of it which has been fashioned into a scarf for her to wear.
The only thing she knows of her inner spirit is that it has to be quite small and that it is covered in fire or a bright light which is obscuring it from view if there's anything in the cloak of flames. She has yet to hear it talk to her and cannot determine if it might be a boy, girl or anything really.Zanpakuto Appearance:
