This is not a separate ability on its own, but rather, a placeholder for those reading to be aware that this cloak is also embedded with the gem "Cassiel's Confinement" that Henrex received from Cirno Iramasha. This means that this cloak has access to the gem's abilities, as well as able to access its own powers as well. However, the main weakness of this is that Cassiel's Confinement can not
be active at the same time as Kage-tai, but the abilities of the Garb of Tsukuyomi can be used as long as there is enough to power the abilities.Kage-tai (影体, Shadow Body):
This is the core of the Garb and is just as much passive as it is an active ability. In short, this garb is powered by simply being in the shadows. Passively, any kind of shadow cast, outside of another PC's shadow can be used as a springboard for this ability. The moment that the wearer steps into the shadows, their form is hidden completely. All sound is reduced to nothing, and their scent is partially reduced.
Those with low-level Mental Deduction (Untrained & Beginner) would not be able to sense or see Henrex during this state, those with average Mental Deduction (Adept) would be able to get a very vague and brief sense of where he is when he stops moving. Those with higher Mental Deduction (Advanced) would possess a slightly stronger form of this sense, while also being able to briefly track him when he moves and stops moving. However, those with a mastery over Mental Deduction (Elite and above) would be able to completely ignore the effects of Kage-tai, capable of tracking Henrex regardless of where he is. While this is active, Henrex has no access to his other abilities outside of his weapons and own skill.
However, after he steps out of the shadows, becoming fully visible once again, he cannot use this for two turns, to allow the garb to recharge. It has also been noted that this can only be kept up for around six posts before the wearer would be revealed.(Note/TL;DR: While this is active, Henrex is entirely restricted to physical combat.)
The two active abilities of the Kage-tai alone would be the ability to use the garb in order to leap forward to another existing shadow, enacting a "teleport" ability, as the timing of the jump and the landing is near-instantaneous. While this can only be used once per post with a three-post cooldown, this grants the wearer an immense amount of mobility. The second active ability would be the ability to use energy from the equipment to create a temporary "shadow" that the wearer can use in order to perform the shadow leaping ability, as stated before. This is incredibly difficult to utilize, however, as the shadow only lasts a very, very short time before disappearing, and initiating a two post cooldown, so it should only be used while out of combat, or as an escape mechanism if one were to be IN combat. It should also be known that the wearer cannot draw energy from the artificial "shadow".General WeaknessesLight:
As per the biggest weaknesses of the shadows, this is also the garb's biggest weakness. However, this varies heavily on the strength and intensity of the light source in question. If it was something such as a match, it would have no effect. If it were something like a lantern or a massive bonfire? Those would have much more perilous effects on the wearer. This is due to the two separate effects that afflict the garb when high levels of light are introduced. The initial effect would be that the garb loses its ability to conceal the user. The user cannot be concealed if a large light source is near them, and slowly -- the energy of the Garb is drained if exposure is held long enough. The larger the source, the faster the drain -- with the max of the drain being four posts, and the minimum being ten posts. So, this heavily restricts the usage of this item but can be very potent and powerful if used in the proper conditions.» Obtained From:
The garb itself was obtained from Caanan's lab discovered during his training with Mirja, with Henrex going back and searching the remains of the lab, leading to the discovery of the Garb of Tsukuyomi. The powers of this equipment were obtained from Cirno's "Cassiel's Confinement" gem that she made for Henrex as a basis for the cloaking power, along with Henrex instilling the rest of the abilities with help from the Gotei Research Center.» Notes:
