He'd decided to send for a member of his Division; Yoshitsune had been very involved in training his Squad. He'd taken files and documents involving them and had been interested. The one in question was still a newcomer in some ways. Not a fresh off the Academy person, but he was new enough. He sat out on a wooden walkway, his eyes out on the training area. Listening to the clash of bokken as two members went at it. They were fighting with swords and trying to grow stronger. Battle was a trial and error for them. He'd step in if it got bloody, but for now, he sat, and his white haori fell behind him.

This place had changed for the better since he'd taken over. Pretty words hadn't been what Yoshitsune had used. He put in the effort, and hard work picking his people and even going out and recruiting from other Squads that weren't utilizing them. Though for now, he waited, knowing he and the person would use a bokken as well. The wooden weapon was suitable for figuring out the person's skills and learning more about them simultaneously.

Files, while not useless, did provide a picture of what you were getting. The Captain's job was to develop that image and make it grow. That was the purpose of a Captain in his mind. Yoshitsune was a survivor of an era that was gone. Only a couple of people left from it. If someone needed advice on an inner hollow, he gave it. His eyes watched as they began to pick up the pace and move towards a conclusion, never escaping Yoshitsune's eyes for a moment. Until one finally met with a thunk on the head.

The day had gone by swimmingly if he'd say so himself, after a few days of that spar with one Hanako he had decided to rearrange his house and practice more on his shtoyle. God that Mark Zuckerberg episode on South Park was left in his head, and he made sound effects as he practiced a little in the almost-empty house. Barefooted, shirtless and with a pair of sweatpants, Amon Breach swung about his Asauchi with actual practice instead of reckless abandon. He figured out that his style of fighting was more aggressive and fast paced, while patience was better suited to anyone including him, Amon genuinely felt that a more offensive type of combat suites him better; and that was what bothered him lately.

Hanako taught Amon to be center and front to your opponent, to not make any extra moves while on the offensive and whatever else. Overall swordsmanship required a balance between offense and defense when needed, and be couldn't help but feel empty in some areas. However he couldn't shake off the feeling of needing to be more aggressive, mire assertive... He didn't have a katana like these people or a curved blade of any kind, instead he was stuck with a broad sword of all things. His sword wasn't too light either, and was perfect balanced between the blade and the scabbard. That was great, as it would help with even blows and keeping the sword more controlled versus a heavier end requiring better control.

As Amon continued to utilize his practice he delve more and more into focus on his craft that his energy flares just slightly, his form becoming more precise and his movements were more so akin to dance shuffling. Each attack was well placed to an imaginary figure as well as rebounding after every or so strike. Just as an almost green steam was starting to escape his Asauchi, Amon's focus was broke from a knock at his door- the focus was gone as well as the buildup he had collected from nearly two hours of work. He signed and wiped some sweat from his forehead, slipping on a shirt and composing himself.

Amon answered the door with a messenger greeting him, explaining that the newish Shinigami was needed at the Fourth Division. Shit. Amon thanked the woman and got dressed, nothing more than a pair of black shoes, blue jean shorts and a ain white t-shirt. While it wasn't anything formal it wasn't anything that would look rude either, Amon would rather wear this attire than a kimono for the life of him. Thank God he had a choices.

Making his way to the Fourth Division building Amon started poking around to find whoever has sent for him. He looked around until his attention got caught by the sound of some wood and wood action. Amon went out to the training yard where one individual was sat off to the side and two more were practicing using bokken on each other. He couldn't help but further notice the stray person sitting by themselves... They looked vaguely familiar... Oh!

Amon approached the stray man, someone he's seen once or twice in his time here at Soul Society. He cleared his throat and said, "So I'm to understand you have sent for me... Ehm... Sir?"

Yoshitsune stood up as the man arrived, slowly his fingers wrapping around a bokken. He had two on either side and was ready for the arrival. "Indeed, as Captain, I try to get an idea of the levels of people in my Squad. So was hoping you'd entertain a short spar using bokken. " Yoshitsune held it out one for the male to take and waited for him to do so. At the same time, he wasn't sure if Amon would do it or not. He was giving him the capability to reject his offer. Yoshitsune had pride in their Squad and what they could manage.

If Amon accepted the offer, he would walk to the training area and stand in a spot. Keeping his bokken down and held as though sheathed. Yoshitsune had a fair bit of experience using a sword. It was nostalgic doing this once again to see what a newcomer could do. They gave him the fire he needed to continue in this world. Amon was no different in value to him as Hanako or one of his other members. They were all deserving of his complete focus.

Amon, Hanako, and all those who came into the Combat Division were his family. He would train them and teach them as best he could, like a college education on the life and the world. But it all began here in this sandy sparring ground—growth and helping them develop into fine Gotei members. Yoshitsune smiled as he inhaled a deep breath through his nostrils. "Whenever you are ready to attack me, I wish to see your results of personal training. " He said, finally now awaiting the arrival of confrontation. His blood began to boil with anticipation—a conflict coming forward for him to indulge a craving and train.

Yoshitsune, at his core, loved fighting, the crossing of blades was a Crow tradition. He'd lost more than he'd won, but he enjoyed them. The sensations and feeling of his senses were coming alive. His eyes watched with a keen interest in how Amon chose to begin.

Amon was speechless at first. One, this guy wasn't a douche, and two, he was offering Amon to spar. This actually caught the Shinigami's attention and his interest piqued with curiosity. He smirked and took the wood blade into his hands with Yoshitsune heading to one of the training platforms without a second thought. Amon followed suit, taking his place across from the Captain at a good distance... Ten to fifteen feet at least.

The young Shinigami eased his nerves but he couldn't help but feel eager and filled with much anticipation. He wasn't concerned with losing, he focused on the task at hand rather. Going back into his mindset from before when he was practicing, Amon started things off by rushing his attacker. His bokken was swung in a controlled manner in a sharp upward strike so that when he was parried or missed he could quickly deal with the counter.

He watched the attack come, and it was similar to an uppercut with a blade. He observed the angle of the strike; it was a clever strike. Yoshitsune took a step back to avoid the strike. After these actions, he would bring his own Bokken from the right side. This strike was to test the reflexes of Amon. He was interested in gauging and seeing how he handled this. Applying pressure would be slow as he wished to see the swing and technique. It was rebuilding this place that had been worth the effort if it produced more like him.

His students had been solid and capable thus far as he taught. Preparing the Combat Division for wartime conditions was crucial. They weren't at the fighting strength they were prior. But in some ways, they were indeed better than before too. Many of the old ways of thinking didn't work. He returned his Bokken in front of him after his attack. He was not pressing or trying to seize an advantage. Yoshitsune wasn't looking for winners or losers in this fight. He was gauging just how much Amon knew and what he could stand to learn.

So far, the beginning was promising and hopefully would continue to be so. The building of a Divison to respond to threats that emerged was important. They were to protect Abalia, defend her until the end. He was excited to see just what Amon could do. Someday, in the future, he could use his Zanpakuto. That would be a day worth living to see—the day when his Division and he could fight for the earnest joy of combat.

Amon's attack was dodged simply put. He didn't regret his decision at all as he quickly brought the blade back diagonally and blocked the incoming attack. Immediately after the bokken came to blow he gave a forceful push against the Captains and quickly stepped forward and attempted to stab at the right of his chest. The maneuver was simple and could easily be read, however his movements were fast at the same time so reaction was needed... At least on Amon's level. He still had control in his movements and if Amon needed to immediately go defensive or pull back he can do so without a second thought.

The Shinigami knew that Captain Yoshitsune was well beyond his power, and that speed was such an easy thing to the older man. Still, that didn't stop Amon from wanting to come to blows against the guy, it was a spar and he wasn't concerned if someone could easily bend him over or not. He wasn't concerned at all except showing his skill or whatever he was developing at the time. Amon didn't have it all figured out, but he used his and Hanako's practice as a template for what he could, and as far as he knew? Nothing was beyond reach, and when he became stronger than the tall woman? He wouldn't stop. And when Amon was stronger than even Yoshitsune? That won't stop him, Amon had an insatiable thirst for strength but didn't allow that to cloud his mind nor judgement. He only wished to stay pure and true to himself.

Yoshitsune merely observed the choices that his sparring partner was making. A push towards him with a stab coming at him. He didn't lose contact with the bokken of Amon. The attack's force was surprising but not enough to make Yoshitsune break it. He could see the tip coming towards him as he finally and suddenly withdrew his force. He was quick as he moved to the right and sidestepped the piercing thrust. He'd taken away the pushing he was doing instantly.

Yoshitsune was testing the balance of Amon now. The deadlock he'd held on to and put force behind to make Amon work for it. Yoshitsune suddenly removed the target by going to the right of Amon's thrust. He was formidable, especially when it came to his speed. Education of the sword came down to multiple things. Balance was a key element and being able to recover. Yoshitsune wasn't attacking or pushing Amon hard.

Enlightening to see how one moved or chose to carry themselves. In this situation, it was clear that Amon was considering his defense and offense. He could recover and switch when the time came. Eventually, someday Yoshitsune believed they'd be fighting someone. So this all had a purpose and meaning behind it. He held his bokken, now considering the next step to take. He felt his muscles tensing and getting excited.

No matter how often it happened, crossing blades was always exciting for him.
