Furukawa Asami | Officer of the 5th
Having followed Koyo over to the dummy, Asami stood back as he readied himself for another attempt at her challenge. It was less a task of him showcasing something that she could work with, and more a chance to see if his ability could even be used to achieve such ends. If the latter turned out to be the truth then this would turn out to be a very short lesson after all.
She need not have worried though, though she saw the angling at which he was lining up for a Tessho and considered stepping in to stop him before he hurt himself. Her curiosity won out over her sensibility though, and instead she observed bemusedly as the joints of his arm shot forward with a speed that was not just coming from his own body. This was something that could be utilised, fashioned perhaps, and in that moment she was once again quietly envious of such a ubiquitous power. The blow had dealt more damage than she had gauged such a misplaced attack would have done without some form of amplification, and that was a foot in the door.
Instinctively, she reached forwards to take hold of his arm. Not in an offensive manner, rather just to make sure that it had not suffered some dire injury. A note of genuine concern picked up under her previously dry tone, though her expression did not yet shift.
“How does your arm feel? Your hand? You added extra pressure to your joints to hasten the speed of your blow. It is a solid strategy if you do not shatter the bones in your arm to do so.”
Stepping in between Koyo and the dummy, Asami raised her own hand to act as a target. It would work better this way, easier to mitigate his damage both to the target and himself, and she could experience it directly.
“I want you to do the same again, but make my hand the target. Whatever strength you feel you exerted, focus as best you can on bottling it up and limiting your output, we want to start small and build up. But do not worry if you release too much, I am here to catch you.”
