Closest Thing to a Dad [Alex, Inanna]

While she was initially shy about talking to him, especially since she didn't really interact with him much beyond general things of courtesy like saying hello or asking him how he was doing and then running off to do her own thing. Nanna did feel a bit better about his advice and the reassurance. Maybe she would talk to him about stuff like this if it came up again.

"Yessir."

A little bit of a wait before she said it when he had finished talking, curling up in her spot while letting out a small sigh from her spot on him. It felt like a weight off her shoulders, the same way that she said she liked to speak her mind since she felt better after and after working herself up so much on these questions she felt the tiredness settling in.

"Thanks... Alex..."

A small slip of the tongue, she didn't catch the slip while she tried to nestle her head into a comfortable spot and settle herself into sleep. The exciting two weeks catching up on her.

He might have typically reminded her that he didn't like being called "sir" or anything like that, but given the situation, he was willing to just let it slide. She was clearly tired, and besides, he wasn't going to correct her on it during a conversation like this.

"Any time, Nanna."

Alex was perfectly willing to let her lay right where she was, and to continue running his hands through her hair as she drifted off to sleep. She'd been through a lot, it seemed like. He'd be glad to talk to her any time.
