A boy of mysterious roots, Ru rose into the world with a vested interest in becoming something more in order to help others, an intangible sensation of regret to this desire. He has a great interest in learning about the world around him as so he can develop his magic either based on or for whatever he learns of, in hopes it’d assist in his ‘restoration’; Ru was born with a sense that he was fractured, incomplete, and such wishes to learn as much about his previous incarnations as possible.
He isn’t terribly difficult to impress, often looking to the strong and charismatic with a glowing opinion if he considers them just and good, but with admiration comes a sense of envy - he wants to be as good as the people he turns to admire, comparing himself, stubbornly wanting to improve these faults he sees in himself. Even if he may be prone to misunderstandings and naivete, he isn’t ignorant of his flaws, but these feelings of shortcoming are often in a productive light than a destructive one.
Ru is often very cheery and friendly towards others, willing to share thoughts and findings no matter how basic they may be, often openly speaking his mind on things and stating things that others probably would think twice before spouting, though he is quick to apologize if he’s found to sound rude or offensive.
- An eventful time within creation, the world had permanently changed, and within that transformative state did Nidhana form The Danava of Magic. Formed with a mission to fulfill - to create a way to assist in the feeding of knowledge to their mother network - they would set out into the world, learning of the beings who resided in it, developing their power.
They were a beloved figure amongst those who knew of their reach, sharing knowledge of the arcane and giving gifts of wonder in hopes it would enrich the lives of those they touched, though was concerned with the usage of some of their givings, set to wonder of the true natures of those they decided to aid. They lived a peaceful life, filling their book with all they discovered, communing with beings from all walks of life and death to further inspire more creation.
With such a culmination of knowledge came the crux of their existence - The Danava Rituals. Hundreds of pages of works upon works of varying complication and potential were created and spread, a way for beings to willingly share knowledge with Nidhana so that she may form more concepts.
However, they would soon see that what was created was not in service to share knowledge, but rather to be exploited, witnessing their own kind being reared as tools or weapons rather than independent beings. This brought great sadness and rage to the Danava, aghast that their own creation would lead to such an outcome. In their distressed state, they would turn to use the knowledge they accumulated to exact vengeance on those they discovered to be abusing their works.
Of course, these actions would attract the attention of the powerful, who would proceed to beat the Danava down, severely injuring them and driving them to disappear. With creation now viewing them with nothing but disdain, they would work in silence, their attention drawn to their relative’s newlings - demonkind.
Though in their attempts to relive those days of tranquil discovery and teachings, they would find the kind they decided to take under their wing were not so merciful. They’d be betrayed in the end, unable to exact their revenge on those who scarred them, those children only interested in taking their powerful knowledge by force. A spiral of emotions were in their final moments - Anger, Sadness, Regret, Yearning, as they’d fade away and return to Nidhana.
And once such a return was performed, they were put to rest endlessly - such passions deviated them from their purpose, after all. The next time the Danava would resurface, hopefully the measures to adjust such things would be effective in discouraging such behavior.
In the darkness of a hidden facility, a boy with considerable presence stirred. Awakening to darkness, the scrawny figure would feel around through the cold and unfamiliar. Some tragedy had plunged the building into disrepair, skeletons lining dim hallways, the only evidence of life left being the occasional sound of feet or shuffling that seemed to vanish all too quickly, and the accidental discovery of voice logs.
Further curiosity led him to realize that he was the subject these messages were referring to, his designation - HS-005 - printed in a small font on his neck. The voice logs he recovered were nearly always speaking about his developments and growth. The ideas they spoke of, that he was to be a valuable asset for humanity, to purge the demonic and any further threats, to know all he could of the magics of the spiritual world. But at the same time… He didn’t remember doing any of the things they spoke of. All that was left were skeletons.
For all he was concerned, he was alone.
The only things he had was whatever logs were recoverable, and his mostly ruined Atma Vatou, Grimoire Arcana. Seeing those blackened or otherwise ruined pages was disheartening, but he would put together what he could. He couldn’t be a worthy asset if he was sobbing over a tattered book - and thus whatever was left that he could decipher, he put it to work, a few rules and spells left intact as the foundation for a new life’s ambitions.
Remaining in the facility soon held no answers. The lack of further information directed his attention to the light that leaked in. There must have been something on the other end… And thus, he’d push his way out from rubble and decay, and into the morning sunlight.
He wandered the world that had opened up to him, though it wasn’t long before he noticed the likes of Shadowfall and demonkind’s influence on his surroundings. He had heard of demonkind from the logs, but he had never heard of them being organized to such an extent. At his current power, he found he couldn’t banish the intruders himself, and thus did what he could to help until he could figure something else out, going town to town within Europe, helping people out with their daily troubles with what power he held, becoming a subject of rumor and curiosity. At the very least, he was making some difference.
Though a ways into his lone searches, he felt he hit a wall in his developments; what he figured on his own was found to be lacking over time, and he was nowhere closer to resolving the fractured nature of his existence. Though his stubbornness kept him, he would turn to realize the absolute smallness of his power, when war hit. When faced with the imagery of death, Ru stared it back dead on, though fully aware of his weakness. Though he was not effective in fights at this time, he worked as a support for the innocent trying to flee or the wounded of those who fought the demons. Even if he could have fled, he didn't feel like he could - he needed to be there.
The conflict exposed him to those he would admire, particularly one who he would later know as Emperor. Intentionally seeking the man out, he would find and swear loyalty to him with the intent of aiding in the rebuilding of the wounded countries, alongside developing his own knowledge.
Origin Name: Magic
Origin Power: This origin encompasses the magics of the spiritual and the knowledge around these ideas. The skill and ability to twist energy with ideas in order to express them into the world, to help or to harm, regardless of one's intent. This is a concept birthed of knowledge and discovery.
Unusual Spiritual Pressure
Despite his current level of skill, Ru naturally possesses a high amount of Reiatsu. Since he hasn't the best regulative control over it, it makes his presence quite noticeable.
Ru is able to form spells from spoken letters, shaping and strengthening it depending on what and how many letters his words contain.
- Spellcraft Rules:
Available Letters: T, N, S, H, R, B, C, D, F, G, K, M, P, Q, V, X
Characters of Shape [Raw, most basic manifestation of a given element]: T, N, S, R, B, C
Characters of Formation [Gives focus and purpose to the shape]: H, D, F, K, M, P
Characters of Personality [Gives character and uniqueness to the shape]: Q, V, X, G
A = Fire (When used as a sub element - Increases power of cast spell by 1.5x)
E = Water (When used as a sub element - Increases speed of cast spell by 1.5x)
I = Earth (When used as a sub element - Increases durability of cast spell by 1.5x)

*Cannot use the same elemental letter more than once in a single spell (Ex. Rasa, Fene, Puru)
*Cannot use elemental letters right next to each other, must follow other letters (Ex. Eani, Uira)
Additional Parts add power to the root spell, however require higher levels of skill to use efficiently:
1 Part has no higher requirements (Ex. Ta, So, Ri)
2 Parts require a minimum of Beginner in Origin Embodiment (Ex. Taso, Ribu, Devo)
3 Parts require a minimum of Adept in Origin Embodiment [+1 post casting time for every stat below] (Ex. Tasore, Binatu, Repasu)
4 Four require a minimum of Advanced in Origin Embodiment [+1 post casting time for every stat below] (Ex. Natuseri, Ritebasu, Semubita)
*Cannot exceed 4 Parts at this given level.
Lvl 1 Spells
Shoots a small flame projectile, akin to a flaming bullet. Loses power after roughly 20 feet and peters out entirely at 30 feet.
Acts as a minor healing spell; Can heal small surface level wounds at most.
Creates a wall of water to act as protection. Barrier isn’t strong and can be penetrated by those with an Adept in any stats that would assist in piercing it.
Creates a single, whip-like vine that can be freely manipulated. Can only stretch about 20 feet and is about as strong as a climber’s rope.
Creates a will-o-wisp that remains lit for a considerable amount of time. No use outside of practical utility.
Creates a powerful burst of wind at short range to knock back opponents or blow something open, akin to a small explosion in force.
When used on a broken or ruined object, restores it to it's most recent, unblemished state. Only works on physical, non-spiritual items.
Gives a temporary, slight increase to a person's speed with spiritual winds. Lasts for one post.
Uses a little of Ru's energy in order to restore the strength of another living thing. Most it can restore is normal fatigue.
Lvl 2 Spells
Creates a stronger wall of water to act as protection. Unlike it’s lower level equivalent, it is capable of absorbing more force, up to Advanced level, though it can only tolerate three full-powered hits before dissipating.
A stronger healing spell than it’s simpler counterpart; is capable of healing wounds more serious wounds, or help alleviate the effects of bodily ills such as infection or poisoning.
Forms a small, bow-like structure along the wrist. Can be used to fire small but fast-firing spiritual projectiles, capable of flying 30 feet with little issue and can seamlessly pierce lower end defenses.
Forms a spiritual short sword. Can be used as effectively as a normal sword against physical and spiritual entities, but dissipates if removed from the user’s grasp.
*Ru is incapable of using spells to augment himself, so things such as buffs or healing are ineffective to him.
An avenue of creation, Ru can use rituals in order to make constructs to serve whatever purpose they can, however since these are far more time consuming and resource-dependent to use, they are not viable in combat.
A greatly revised version of a ritual circle that was mostly ruined, this can be used to spawn three tiny golems with the giving of rocks and plants as a catalyst, them being so small they can fit in one’s palm. Though even at their tiny size, they are rather strong, able to lift things ten times their weight. However, their growth rate is incredibly fast, falling apart after only 24 hours.
Another revised ritual circle, Ru can create a firebird with the givings of kindling and feathers, the entity appearing before him and remaining until it is given a message written in some physical format and a person to give the message to. With that done, it will make it’s way to the other party, no matter how far they are, as long as they are in the same plane as Ru, giving the message and dissipating shortly after.
Basic Danava Ritual
One of the only pages of old knowledge that got through mostly unscathed, this is an extremely basic ritual for forming a connection to Nidhana in order to summon a Danava. It’s a very small, weak connection, but the process can still be complete - the end result will simply be an extremely simple concept and an entity that may not possess remarkable intellect.
Written in ever-shifting glyphs near incomprehensible to the average being, this book is the housing of all of Ru’s magical knowledge for him to call upon any time he requires it, possessing pages of spells, rules, and even rituals, updating every time Ru experiences a substantial discovery. It behaves like a sentient being, though is always at Rue’s beck and call, coming to him whenever called and always attempts to follow his orders to the best of it’s ability. Though, it requires precise requests in order to properly search for whatever Rue may wish for.
Majority of the pages are completely blacked out or in some state of complete ruin, indicating at one point it had far more knowledge than it currently holds…
