Beastslayer's Crossing [Kita/Sigurd]

She almost didn't believe the news that rolled out of one of her men's mouths, that a giant hole had spewed hollows of frightening stature off in what used to be Vastime's capital, but when she got a good look at the creatures themselves, having settled far away from the initial point of conflict, she could feel her previously bored heart pound excitedly with a lust for beast's blood.

They were worn and shaken from their initial escape from the deep darkness they crawled from, the hulking figure she was eying sluggish and awkward as it lumbered through the city's remains. Though a bit on the formidable-looking side, ultimately seemed easy to tire out further and kill. Maybe she'd carve off their masks and add them to the entryway of her home; the current arrangement didn't seem to be warding off most intruders.

Cutting the quiet approach, the huntress would tense up incredibly, energy building within her body and forming a dense cloak of dark Reiatsu around her, eyes focused on the unaware beast as with a shot like lightning, she'd burst towards it, slamming into it's side, power coursing through her as her claws forcibly dug into it's flesh, an uncanny roar erupting from the being as it stomped about to remove her, though through such a struggle she still tore at it's body, though it's skin proved harder to rip through than anticipated. She released as it threatened to squish her beneath it's fall, grinning slightly as it began to run, trampling through the wastes.

"Can't run, can't hide.." She'd mumble to the dumb creature as she'd make her way after it, having given it a bit of a head start just to make it a little more interesting.

There's nothing here anymore, huh? He's been riding through the remains of Vastime, and all he's been able to find is the remains of a lost society. Life's a damn joke sometimes, that's for sure. One second, you're part of the biggest government in the world. The next, you're nothing more than a big hole for Hollow to spew from, and these Hollow are spewing. How many has he come across just riding to his destination? To make matters worse, the area's starting to be plagued by Shinigami and the Vandenreich as well.

Whatever. He just has one thing on his mind, and that's to- Woah! He was not entirely ready for the sudden giant Hollow running from off to his side, heading right towards him. The roar of his bike had covered the creature's approach just enough for it to get too close. He was forced to do some evasive maneuvers, and that forced him onto his side, sliding forward.

Great, kicking his bike off of himself, he rose, staring at the running Hollow, wondering why it just made him crash and then continued to run as if trying to get as far away from something as possible. It all came together, though, as he witnessed another Hollow, an Arrancar variant, appear soon after.

Pure ecstasy rippled her muscles as she ran after the strange hollow, yellow eyes aglow with an indescribable joy as the larger beast ran in fear of her, though her advancement was ceased when she realized the presence of another was here.

Dead in her tracks, she'd stare directly at the source of the noise, a man had cut into her path, interrupting her hunt. He appeared to be strong from her brief determination, the Arrancar seeming almost statue still, before suddenly in a blur being far closer to the man, arms swinging with coursing red energy in each palm, swinging to form a pair of claw-like ceros directly in front of him,

"This is MY hunt!" The white-haired tigress would growl as she did so.

He's no stranger to random attacks, but that doesn't mean he particularly enjoys having to fight someone without warning. Though, as caught off guard as he was, it only took him a second to swing his sword from its sheath attached to his bike, holding the large blade up seconds before he felt the rush of energy bite down against his body.

Finding himself bouncing off the ground, rolling in an attempt to stable himself, his only thought was that of getting out of this situation. Sigurd is not a man who actively seeks combat, even if he shows no hesitancy once forced to fight. That's why he simply rose after ending his stumble and stared down the woman attacking him.

"Alright. That's one mistake. Mind calming down before making another?"

“I am not the one making a mistake here.” The tigress spat, lips curled in a snarl as a growl rose in her throat, “My prey, my grounds, my hunt. Leave, lest I tear you to shreds, human.”

She was about to approach further to push an additional attack, before the sound of heavy clambering footsteps grew in volume behind her; the hollow had come back around, pissed, and ready to ram into her, coming at the two with full charging speed and it’s horns tipped down for a goring.

Attention pulled away from Sigurd, that glee returned, stanced back up to face the incoming threat, right as it careened toward them she’d fly at the beast with a mighty leap, sword drawn to slice one of it’s horns off. Thrown incredibly off balance the creature would continue skidding toward Sigurd if he hadn’t moved, the Arrancar hanging off another horn while laughing aloud and stabbing the beast in one of it’s sulfuric eyes.

Not one for careless behavior, Sigurd checks every box before every mission ensuring his ease of completing it. However, there are always chaotic situations such as this that force him to learn how to make up shit on the fly. He's no stranger to insanity, but insanity is not a friend he lets in his home if helped.

Even with his necklace on, he's not easily swept under the rug by mindless beasts and bratty women. With a simple swing of his great sword, a downward slash, he unleashed a breath of energy in a thin line, uncaring for hitting the arrancar or not that penetrated the soft skin of the Hollow. Yet, it did not pierce the beast all the way, applying enough pressure to rip through muscle and bone and stop the Hollow from encroaching further in his direction. He could feel its haggard breath bearing down at him as it groaned from being torn asunder, its carcass still being poked by the annoying woman atop it.

"I should say, that is mistake number two," He'd grumble, lifting his sword back to his shoulders, hoping the worse of this situation is dealt with. He has to check for any damages to his bike.

As she was readying a Cero into the beast's skull, she'd find herself thrown onto the side along with the severed half of the creature, dust flying in her face as she was left coughing and spitting, grunting uncomfortably to see that her kill had been snatched from her. Gaze lying on the human, though she had anger in her chest, she recognized the strength of the human. They were so strange lately; a few of them were capable of harnessing the power of spirits, they were nothing like the mewling creatures from one-hundred years ago, unable to so much as see her and her ilk as they were preyed upon. As much as she was angry, she was curious.

"Where did you obtain such strength?" She would call out to the man, fully disregarding his warning, "Humans typically are not capable of this much power. And you do not seem to be using any toys to aid you."

Eh? He was ready for her to throw another hissy fit his direction, but he was met with questions instead of violence. His guard still up, Sigurd pondered on actually answering the Arrancar. He's unsure what faction she plays for or if she's just some random woman making a mess of things. Eitherway, relaying any information could get him in trouble down the line. If anything, just to avoid any more conflict, he'll give her something that'll be sure to ease her curiosity at least. He'd like to get his bike and continue on his way in peace.

"Much the same as you. Killing," He answered, sighing as he shook his head. "Warfare is a quick access to power."
