What Does The Fox Say? [Ikari, Natasha]
Wed Mar 08, 2023 11:42 pm
NATASHA MILLER | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
Japan, eh? Natasha recalled the few times she visited this place, and most of her visits here had been relatively enjoyable. Tokyo was her favorite - a sprawling metropolis filled with nightlife and scenic buildings in equal measure. For a common partygoer like herself, it was unequivocally comparable to a moth beckoned by their desire to gravitate toward the light. Like moths to flames as the common quote went. Of course, darting through a forest, on this particular night, she can't indulge herself in that leisure as much as she normally did. Not right now, at least. She had a mission to focus on.
Hollows were causing a ruckus, and it was her duty to cull the chaotic rascals lest they continue endangering the humans in the city. A group of animalistic hollows were sprinting through the forest, spreading and retreating as they continued to retreat from the gunslinging warrior above. Heading the group was a misshapen fox that hardly resembled a fox at all, a purple orb of energy forming in it's maw.
Directing its head toward Natasha, it shot the blast of energy forward with reckless abandon - an aim, no doubt, to get the trailing woman to retreat. But she wasn't going to let them escape so easily. They just needed to stay in one place, and then she could let loose. Even as hollows, certain animals truly were an unruly sort. With gun in hand, she bides her time, waiting to catch these bastards grouping together. To do so, she feints as though she tripped up, pretending to fall to the ground. Turning her head toward her, the fox hollow directs his fellow mates to start rushing her.
"Yea, that's it. I'm waitin' for ya, you little rascals. Ya hungry~?"

IKARI YAMASHIRO
Ah... A forest. Really, forests were Ikari's favorite place to rest. Very little interference from hollows, all sorts of kind animals to assist her in finding proper bedding, and even the occasional motherly animal or two that brought her some food! It wasn't really enough food for her, but it got her by. She hummed softly, trotting around as a small fox before the sounds of rushing feet, trotting paws, and the roars of hollows broke through the peaceful darkness. Ikari's hair stood up on end, and even her five tails raised up; her long, fluffy, ears perked up to full attention. After a few moments, the fox growled. It wasn't menacing, it was hard to be, she was barely bigger than a fennec fox. However, the fox still rushed off in the general direction of the noise; where a Quincy was toying with some hollow.
Ikari raced through the underbrush, watching as the Quincy "tripped" on something, which looked quite fake given the look of confidence that Ikari saw upon the woman's face. She was playing them, nothing else to it. Ikari simply sighed, deciding her energies would be better spent on the hollow pretending to be a fox. To do so, she rushed up, her prodigious speed making her a pink blur as she leapt off the ground right next to Natasha; briefly spring boarding off the woman's leg. Afterwards, she jumped off the two hollows' heads and made for the fox-like hollow; whose back she landed upon. Upon landing, without dropping a beat, Ikari bit into the fox-hollow. Immediately, lightning burst to life in, around, and on the fox hollow; with the source seemingly the fox that was biting into it's neck. If Natasha wasn't too busy killing the other two hollow, she would see the pink fox grow until it was four feet tall at the shoulder, looking rather ominous as her teeth crunched into the hollows neck and, with a violent shaking of her pink head, a resounding crack told them that the hollow's spine had been broken. Ikari bit through it's neck in a moment of savagery, causing the hollow to disintegrate as she spat blood out of her mouth; emitting a howl before she snarled at the two hollow if they were still there. If not, Ikari dropped all hostilities and wagged her tail at Natasha, the blood from the hollow swiftly disappearing as she looked upon the woman. Truthfully speaking, Ikari was quite the beautiful fox, even when she was four feet tall at the shoulder.
Ikari just hoped Nat was A-okay! Then again, this Quincy seemed to have all her wits well about her.

NATASHA MILLER | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
Whoa. Natasha expected her opponents to rush her in an all out charge after presenting her feigned opening. That was the intent, but a special guest arrived onto the scene. A majestic fox with pink fur. For a moment, she was startled by the sudden entry, momentarily wondering if it may have been another foe she was meant to contend with.
Of course, that assumption was thrown out of the window as the fox grew in size, viciously crushing the hollow's spine with a brutality so unrestrained that Natasha wondered if that little bastard hadn't picked a fight with her, and now she was here for revenge. In the midst of this chaos, Natasha took advantage of the remaining hollows who were startled by Ikari's actions, firing a wave of reishi gunfire with her pistols. One by one, they came crashing down with each bullet.
They were no longer a threat to anyone now. She didn't expect an assist, much less one in the form of a majestic fox who could alter the size and structure of their body, but that was fine by her. It made the mission easier. Now, she could finally relax and enjoy some nightlife. First, she would turn to the fox, canting her head to the side. What a curious creature. She didn't feel the signature of a hollow nor was there any sign of a demon. Was it a Danava like Ajita?
"I've never heard a fox howl before. I thought they usually went somethin' like "Abay-ba-da bum-bum bay-do"," Natasha teased, reaching in to pet the creature out of curiosity.

IKARI YAMASHIRO
Ikari was quite glad that this Quincy had not turned her weapon upon her. It would've seriously sucked if her attempt at helping the woman turned into being shot by some random woman just because she was a big ass animal. Ikari looked towards the Quincy, all traces of hollow blood long gone from her pristine pink fur. Her large ears twitched upon her head as Nat approached, her head tilted, her nostrils flared, and, finally, her ears perked up the tiniest bit as Natasha reached a hand out to pet her. She sniffed at the hand before it had reached her entirely. Smelled safe enough... She bent forward a little bit and allowed Nat to pet her upon the head.
She purred in quite a great deal of appreciation for receiving pets after assisting the Quincy how she did; giving Ikari more than enough reason to suddenly plant a kiss upon Nat's face. However, as she purred and was given some amazing pets by Natasha, the fox forgot about maintaining her "Air of Mystery" And gave Nat one more lick of a kiss before Ikari finally responded to what she had said.
"I'm a fox that's bigger than any living wolf on the earth, and you question why I'm howling of all things? And foxes make all sorts of noises. Really, it's kind of ridiculous how many noises we can make. Ah... and I am glad you are alright, now please scratch behind my ears~"
Ikari continued to purr, not really caring that she had spoken out loud, and used a paw to drag Nat's hand up behind her ears; where she insisted Nat give a firm scratching! Because, after all, Ikari would positively love the attention and would definitely start to purr very loudly indeed. Cmon, she was a good fox! She just wanted lovies for doing a good job!

NATASHA MILLER | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
"Course' not, sugar. Forgive my poor attempt at humor," she commented, casually waving her hand. She was referencing a song that was lost to time. Natasha didn't expect a supernatural fox of all things to understand it. Better to move on to the next point of conversation to avoid looking silly, yea? As Ikari leaped up and pecked her cheek, Natasha rose from the ground, scratching behind her ear as she continued to observe it with curiosity. It was a female fox.
For a moment, Natasha wondered if it was the type who fancied shifting forms, and whether or not she had a human state in particular, but she didn't paid much mind. With Ikari on her shoulder, she started making her way through the forest, striding toward the clearing that would take her to the city. As she walked, she would strike up a conversation with this foxlike entity.
"Anyway, thank ya' for the assist back there, hun. Ya' caused enough of a distraction for me to take that crowd' of hollows down. They thrive' on runnin' around in groups. I gotta' ask, did that fox do somethin to piss ya off? Ya' brutalized the poor thing so much it stunned' the other two like a pack of deers' in headlights."

IKARI YAMASHIRO
"Forgiven~"
Ikari purred her forgiveness to the Quincy woman, leaning into her pets before she did indeed shrink in size from being bigger than any normal wolf to once more being small enough to easily fit into most holes. Sitting upon Nat's shoulder and purring with ever increasing volume thanks to Nat's dancing fingers; causing the fox girl to lean into Natasha a little bit as she sat upon her shoulder. Frankly speaking, aside from the fact she could talk, her balance was positively impeccable; and the five soft tails she wrapped around Nat's shoulders and neck certainly seemed to help as well.
As Nat walked on, likely giving Ikari a continuous stream of pets the fox girl positively adored, she began to strike up conversation; purrs dancing from the fox as she swayed gently in Nat's shoulder from her movement. Ikari absorbed every single word, but took a good chunk of time to answer heavily distracted as she was by Nat's expert petting. Eventually, however, Ikari leaned against Nat's head a bit; her soft fur likely heavenly to touch.
"Not entirely... But, a hollow taking on the form of a fox was, I must say, a little insulting. Kitsune, and foxes, in tradition are messengers of the gods; with only a few rogue entities. But even they don't exactly attack humans just because unless they have truly fallen. I suppose it's easy to say I simply took personal offense to its appearance."
Ikari gently licked Nat's cheek without a care in the world, purring still as she relaxed upon Nat's shoulder and partially against her head. As it was, Ikari was more than content to rest here for the time being until they arrived in Japan. After that? Well, Ikari really wasn't sure. Maybe Nat could help her get some food... and then perhaps she would find out if Ikari was a being to turn into something aside from a fox or not.

NATASHA MILLER | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
Natasha tilted her head, quiet curiosity clearly discernable in her expression. Huh, so it was as simple as viewing the hollow as a sign of disrespect, huh? Scary. Poor hollow hadn't even saw what was coming before the lass tore him a new one. One could only wonder if a death by her own hand would have been better compared to the wrath of a supernatural fox.
Natasha simply chuckled softly, shrugging her shoulders as she continued to traverse the city. It was amusing to learn about fox mythology from a fox Danava. Natasha continued to stroke the little thing's head, making her way towards the clearing. She didn't particularly mind the little gal being on her shoulder. If anybody saw her with Ikari on her shoulder, they might well believe she was the woman's pet.
"I suppose that makes sense. I don't follow mythology all that much, but I can understand that point of view. Anyway, ya got a name? If yer' gonna share the journey into Tokyo tonight, it'd be nice to know my guest's name."

IKARI YAMASHIRO
That hollow's... Everything was both simple and complex all at the same time. After all, Ikari found it quite disrespectful for such a being to take the shape of a fox; even if it wasn't inherently a Kitsune. However, for all that ferocity Ikari had showed earlier, right now she may as well just be a fluffy completely harmless kitten. Warm to the touch, incredibly soft, and pink to boot, it was hard to picture such a precious little being murderizing anything! Regardless, Ikari did continue her purring, basically laying against Nat's head at this point as she basked in the attention she had been receiving; her foxy form vibrating with the intensity of the purrs alone. Besides... Staying in her fox form now while on top of Natasha's shoulder was the perfect disguise! Accidental disguise, of course.
Eventually, Natasha posed a statement to Ikari, one that broke the line of purring; if but briefly. Those purple eyes were once more revealed by the lids that were hiding them before; the little fox giving Nat's cheek a cursory "kiss", it was a lick of course, before she figured she should answer Nat. It was true, if she was to be her guest, it was for the better that Ikari and Natasha knew each other's names.
"I am Ikari Yamashiro, it's nice to meet you, young Quincy. Now please, don't stop petting me~ Oh~! And I'd love to know your name too! I have to know my host's name so I can thank her once our night together is over~"

NATASHA MILLER | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
"Natasha. Natasha Miller. Though you can simply call me' Nat if you want somethin' that rolls off the tongue real nice like," she humored, reaching the destination Natasha desired to visit before duty called. Stepping into the city filled with bright lights, the blonde-haired woman would continue to observe Ikari with quiet curiosity. As she instructed, Natasha maintained a few pats across the creature's head, contemplating the establishment of choice. Her stomach grumbled, eliciting a slight chuckle as she tapped her tummy. Come to think of it, she could go for a meal right now. Sure, it wasn't the most entertaining thing to come to mind, but she'd make due. Hopefully Ikari was game, too.
"I'm kinda' starvin at the moment, sweetheart. If you plan on spendin' time with me, I suppose' the first place we ought to go to should be a nice food establishment. I'll make sure I'm allowed to bring you in."
And with that, she asked for directions, acknowledge the establishment she wished to eat at most, and headed to the location of choice, allowing the woman to fill the air with conversation if she so desired.

IKARI YAMASHIRO
Natasha, huh? That nickname Nat certainly did roll of the tongue nicely, and Ikari found herself juggling the two options in her head; deciding which one she would use in the moment. However, Natasha's stomach soon gave a titanic grumble, more of a growl really, and Ikari couldn't help but giggle at the honesty of the woman's body. Ikari purred softly, her ears twitching some whenever Nat ran her hands over them. Yes... A meal did seem good right about now. Especially after that little tussle with a few hollows. So, Ikari purred softly as Nat spoke, and then the little fox giggled once again, allowing silence to fill the air during the time in which Nat asked for directions, and afterwards; at least momentarily.
"Ah, don't worry too much about that, Nat~ This little fox has more than a few tricks up her sleeve~ Whatever place you choose will be fine~"
Ikari purred still, her words containing a constant background of those purrs as she spoke. However, during their trek to the restuarant, Ikari was largely silent. Simply speaking, she was taking in the sights of her home, and her sight was captured by a few directions; the general direction of one of the shrines to Inari, the general direction of Tamamo no Mae's killing stone, and simply where she last knew Yuukinan to be before they parted. However, arriving before the restaurant snapped Ikari out of her reverie. Without a word, Ikari freed herself from Nat's dancing fingers and jumped off her shoulder. However, instead of seeing a small fox on the ground, Natasha would see a woman; a woman who couldn't be anyone but the fox she saw before.
Five feet eight inches tall, pink hair that went past her hips, the same five fox tails, albeit larger than the small fox's tails, and the same pink ears that appeared to blend in with the woman's hair; purple eyes, and relatively simple clothing. Black converse-like high-tops, black pants, a White hoodie, and a pink shirt; all very casual. Ikari soon looked at Natasha, giving the woman a foxy grin as she put an arm around Nat's arm. It wasn't a couple-ish gesture, not truly, but more of a humorous kind; and Ikari stuck her tongue out playfully at Nat.
"I did say I had a few tricks up my sleeve~! After all, I am a Kitsune~ This way, we won't have to worry about the pesky need for some restaurant to accept a pink fox inside; I don't want to get you in trouble, you are my host for the night, after all~"
