Jefferson City 3: Alpha - Ehefra
Fri Jun 21, 2024 9:09 am
Jenkins
Systems scrambled. Area too congested. Scanners-
The feeling of something tearing through its back brought the machine out of its diagnostics, an arrow protruding from its stomach. The next second, it felt its body wretched again, explosions around it as it found itself in another building. Barbs began to surface, moving through its body as it recovered from the second crash it suffered, rising once more. The words thrown its way were barely considered as it curled into itself a bit, vents on its body opening up as steam shot out from it.
Ehefra would feel her arrow seemingly being attacked, the bards also seemingly being discarded in the same fashion as, whatever the machine is, chassis began to vibrate, emitting a soft sound as Ehefra would then find her arrow seemingly melting. Her scanner would then tune to that frequency, learning that it seems to be a certain vibration that directly seems to scramble Reishi. It's uncertain if it requires the use of Reishi itself, in a sense of countering a vibration with a similar vibration. However, as the robot continued to free itself from her, it began emitting its own Reishi signature, entirely different from the robots before. This has its own flavor, almost like a living creature's fighting against her.
Soon, though, it'd have freed itself, also destroying the sensor bracelet in the process. Though, it'd feel more like the bracelet had stopped existing as probable counter measures to it had scrambled its ability to send Ehefra information. Then its chassis began to repair itself, lines similar to blut pulsing on its frame as metal regrew and patched the hole Ehefra had left. She'd have some dainty information however, like the knowledge that what she's facing felt more like a Quincy bow than anything else they've encountered, and a possible theory may arise as the robot looked at her.
"Ehefra Kleinmund. Administrator."
In a clear manly voice that seemed to be broadcasted from the robot than actually being spoken from a mouth addressed her.

She couldn't help but smile just a bit wider as she watched the creature promptly responding to the damage from being impaled a second time. JArred from the burst of her own anti-air barrage. The creature promptly initiated a targeted response to the barbed bolt locked into it's core, and Ehefra hummed thoughtfully to herself as she was fed the data. Reishi agitation? Something similar to Seele, though only in concept, it didn't seem to employ the same method of resonance as the artifact.
She smiled even WIDER as she flashed a toothy grin. Her head canting a bit to the side as twin screens crackled on either side of her. Each of them promptly crackling as they displayed distant registries. The sight of the other two Foreign Objects that had been deployed. Footage that had been captured prior to Beeps' descent back to Ehefra. The broadcast voice causing the Administrator's smile to widen as she let out a soft chuckle.
"Well damn! Getting caught with my pants down. So you know who I am! And I barely know anything about you! Which honestly, is a bit insulting. I mean.... Three Bows deployed at this range?" She smiled just a bit wider, and let her lips peel back to show the gums as she gave a shit-eating grin to the object before her. "Well. Not that that's TOO unheard of. So. Is. That. It?~" She ventured with a tilt of her head, switching to japanese in the second half of her commentary as her frame vanished. Suddenly closing the distance between herself and the target as she swung one of her legs upward, a full vertical split flashing the object infront of her. Sharp spikes flaring along the back of her heel.
Her secondary Bow, her Administrator Gauntlet, had relocated to her ankle, with a jagged crown of Teeth-like arrows around her heel like the head of a cruel mace as blut glowed along the length of her leg, reishi crackling in thin electric arcs jumping betyween her thigh and the surrounding stonework. A shunt of reiryoku using her own raw spiritual energy pumped through her leg to add just a bit more kick to her downward heel drop as she aimed to slam that heel down into the creature, though whether it was struck or not, the sudden explosive forward force would crater the building behind the creature and send it's chunks hurtling into the city at a slight upward trajectory, scattering debris up inot the air, filling the object's field of view and airspace. Limiting it's ability to launch those missiles.
An important detail as Beeps promptly finished pulling the case Ehefra had dropped behind her and loaded it into it's frame. The ports popping open on either side as a volley of missiles punched out from the sides of her primary bow outward in both directions. Singulare long, spear-like missiles tipped with infused Sensory bands launching towards the other two deployed objects, escorted by shorter, fatter, but faster missiles that launched ahead of them. After all, Ehefra anticipated a response to the payload, and those fatter missiles were tipped with little spheres that a certain Arrancar would no doubt have recognized were he present. Alas, Ehefra's arrows weren'tt he fastest, they wouldn't be immediately contacting the other intended targets. Which is why a distraction was in order.
A hand raised at the creature. A single finger raised as she flashed a toothy grin "Boil o Seas. Crumble o Earth. Sacred chalice bursting with mother's tears. Screaming roar echoed through stone.. Lavaspitze." She recited, as a coil of thick glowing magma-like Reishi burned into the air, forming a spear hovering from her raised finger and poised over the contraption before her, spikes of hardened magma barbing the weapon as she then, at the very last second, flicked her finger upward, pointing the spear towards the ship.
"Lets see if there's a number Four~"
PANG!
A shockwave of compressed air burst outwards as the sudden shock of acceleration punched the molten spear up towards the ship above. She was well aware that the other teams were engaging with the objects, Beeps's bird's eye had confirmed as much, and the object infront of her had HER to deal with. So... would those other automatons defend themselves from the en route payloads, or redirect their focus to protect the ship, leaving themselves vulnerable to Ehefra... and of course the other teams efforts~

"Observative, but that is why you are who you are."
The machine's arm shot up, forearm moving defensively as Ehefra blinked from view. Matching her speed, energy cackled through its arm, blut like veins spiraling up its forearm as its energy shot out, forming a cackling shield of Reishi-mixed energy that caught the downward kick. The ground buckled underneath it as the immediate building behind it was turned into a hazard.
"Unfortunately, it also means your skills are squandered with the Vandenreich."
There is a lot happening, but what is a situation like this to a machine? Processing multiple things at once are what they are designed to do. There's capabilities far exceed that of a mortal, even when seemingly cornered.
"Harken, oh glorious choir."
Its back opened, shifting as the rockets that had gave it flight before spun on their axles, facing Ehefra. Their exhausts kicked into action, a whirring sound between it and Ehefra before the engines turned blue and fired right into the Quincy. This, in turn, caused the machine to fly backwards away from her, sailing straight through the remains of the building as parts of it began glowing blue with Reishi running through its systems. The rockets on it would stop, spin downward, and then begin firing again as it shot up through the building as if it were paper mâché.
"Let loose harrowing prayers to deaf gods and cry your turbulent jubilee: Orchester."
A blue ball of Reishi and its energy formed in its palm as more slots on its body opened. Exhausting the Reishi inside of it, lasers fired from its body, zigzagging through the air as the speed of them easily caught up to the slow projectiles that Ehefra's bow had fired, exploding them midair as the ball in its hand was thrown towards her flaming lance, colliding with it. However, it was not satisfied with just that as more lasers began to pelt the space below it, right where Ehefra possibly still stood, turning the landscape to dust and debris.

Ehefra's grin WIDENED as she spotted that arm moving to block, and in that instant, a Halo formed over her head. And as her heel slammed into that shield, the Claws that made up its head sprang open and curved, curling around the shield itself as the size of them swelled, pumping reishi as she licked her teeth. "Flattery?~ Not what I expected but hey. If you want to make me an offer, why don't you exit combat mode HM?" The ground beneath the machine burst as her Tail, which had burrowed into the ground, sliced up and into the Robot from below, aiming to jacknife into the anchor point for those rockets, aiming to puncture the outter shell so that energy would vent into itself rather than being fully concentrated through the thrusters. But well, there was still the matter of the exhaust. She peeled a Ginto from her uniform, the tubes bouncing off her own wrist as she recited. "Gritz"
A sudden spring of spiritual energy wrapping around her frame, promptly aiming to trap the Machine's arm as the spell promptly enveloped her in a thick barrier of solidified energy. Whether her move with her tail succeeded or not, the backburn from those thrusters would wash over the barrier and raze the rubble around her, Just as the claws that had latched onto the creatures' barrier would promptly detonate, a sudden concentrated spike of concussive energy, like demolition charges aimed to punch through the barrier and try to crack the object's shell as it thrust away from her, potentially havign to detach its arm in the process if it was snared in the Gritz.
Something ehefra herself would wind up doing, her armored tail popping free from her lower back as the lower half was clamped on by the shell, which promptly shot open with an outward hiss, the segments of shell thrust into the nearby debris as her eyes shifted up towards the ship, Tch. "Is that it?" She all but sneered, that smile of hers widening.
The instant the machine crashed up through the roof of the building, Ehefra slammed into it from the side, Hirenkyaku having launched her up and into them. Even having lost visual, thankfully THIS robot had a spiritual pressure~ And so her Reikaku had been more than enough to track it through the wreck of a building.
"Mornin! Whatcha think yer doin?~" She chimed, a growl in her voice as her secondary bow clamped around her forearm and she aimed to SLAM the clawed gauntlet into the glowing orb, intent on causing the energy from the attack to detonate prematurely as she amped up her reishi absorption, aiming to chew down the energy of those lasers. Of course, there was the possibility that that attack would still manage to go off, and as those spiraling lasers sped towards her missiles, the escorts promptly peeled open. A loud cracking BANG sounding. While they were not fast enough to outspeed the lasers, they were fast enough to adjust their trajectory relative to their escorts. Direction blasts of sharpnel and flames would slam into the incoming shots spectacularly with TREMENDOUS force. As weapons from Ehefra's Primary Bow, those explosive bursts of shrapnel were more than enough to rip most Bows to pieces. Those shots wouldn't be plowing through unless there was a MUCH more significant power difference than she expected from this drone~
Thus, so long as those lasers didn't simply plow through her weapons like butter, those HArpoon-shaped missiles would promptly vanish from sight to aim and plow into the other deployed bows.
As for the shot aimed at her lance? Well, that alas she couldn't do much about. That ball, assuming it hadn't been crushed in her own assault on the creature, would promptly slam into her lance and shatter it into a doxen molten shards like a shotgun, rocketing towards the underside of the ships hull. Still potentially damaging, but nothing like the full weapon striking.
As the machine turned it's attention to her, she let out a tisk, as well, there wouldn't even be a question of where she was. "Awfully chatty for a Bow. Or am I talking to the wielder? Going to introduce yourself?" She ventured as her body flickered, blurring to the side as she promptly adjusted her Blut, dialing back the increase to her strength and instead focusing on the increase specifically to her own speed as those lasers slammed into the buildings below, a few of them clipping her frame and cutting into her uniform, a few flicks of red as she hadn't quite managed to adjust her blut before a few of them struck her, her eyes narrowed slightly.
"So, if my potential is being wasted, just where should my talents be hm? Does this little party of yours have a name?" CHUNK CHUNK CHUNK!
The sound of something slamming into the ground below following Ehefra's question. A number of missiles that, for whatever reason, had been fired straight into the ground. More then eight of them slamming into some section of the streets or into some of the abandoned building around them. All whilst a new Tertiary Tail was fabricated from her lower back.

Vollstandig? No matter. Everything is still in predetermined estimates. Ehefra would find her explosive kick as ineffective as it was, with or without extra power. The shield itself was nothing more than a throw away object, a simple thing to dissolve to avoid capture, but there was a sudden error as its armor was punctured. That did not stop it from exhausting its energy as it had planned, firing hot energy to blast away from Ehefra and up into the sky where it still continued its incantation and avoid her attempts to capture it.
Yet, again, it found itself interrupted; its opponent persistent in hampering it. Well, with that said, it did not try to force its spell to completion, firing it as Ehefra tried to stop it, letting it stop the decoy missiles that were fired. Luckily, she had backed off when some of those lasers had focused on her, leaving it time to ascend further and make more space between them.
"All these advancements, and for what? To still fall short?"
It did not move to attack, instead floating in the air and waiting.

Ehefra flicked her jacket slightly as a bit of blood dripped to the ground. Hmph, she'd have to adjust her spacing so that she could manage those lasers, at least whenever she didn't have her blut focused on defense but ... even then, this thing wasn't a slouch. Though that comment drew a wider smile from her.
"Hmmm. Fall short you say?~" She smiled, in the very same moment that those missiles would suddenly veer upward, banking away from those other automaton targets to plow clean into the belly of the ship above. She of course, had noticed that much more effort had been place in protecting the ship, and so she had intended to feint the attacks towards the other bows, and instead, those Harpoon-tipped missiles would slam up into the hulls, aiming to puncture the armor. Of course, it was probably quite bulky, but that was fine, even if it did nothing more than slide into the outter armor, the sensors onboard would still be able to provide valuable information.
She smiled a bit wider as the Halo above her head crackled away into nothing. Oh yes that 'Vollstandig' indeed would have seemed short of what one should have expected from someone of her position. But she was fine if that was the impression made to her opponent.
"I'd say that those are small minded words, and that 'falling short' is mretly a precursor to progress. But I hardly think that you're so shortsighted as to believe such a thing. No, you're simply taunting me." She smiled a bit wider as the Bow would feel a slight crackle of spiritual energy inside of it. "I know I can seem like a bit of a fuckin brute, but I'm not the leader of the Steingruft for nothing. You seem to know a lot about me. But this tail isn't something I use very often. So I am quite curious: Are you aware of it's function?~" That smile widened.
Spirit Script: Permissions. A code generally used on an individual, but the criteria had been met. She'd managed to maintain proximity and exposure to the creature with her sensors amidst the fight, and had even gotten one of her bands inside of the thing amid their exchange. IT wasn't perfect and frankly, she didn't know if she could manage it, but all the same, a Script injected from the tail puncturing the hull of the machine would try to get to work using the data from the scans. Intent on locking the object from access to it's core functions, and potentially locking out its controller.
Would it work? Oh she had no idea in the slightest. But even if it didn't, it might serve to disrupt it's systems just enough.
A loud BANG as she shunted herself forward, a loud percussive shockwave of air as she closed in on the creature with a clawed hand cocked back, a grin spread across her face. An instant where the creature woudl be forced to run an internal diagnostic. Be that to struggle against that Permissions code, or simply to stomp it like it was nothing. Either way, it was an opening to try and plow her clawed hand into it's head and spike the object clean into the ground. IF it focused on the Script? It meant she could get cleaner strikes. If it focused on her? A higher chance for her Script to render the object inert.
"If you would be so kind, Don't go talkin shit when this fight aint over!"

Her attack sailed into the hull of the ship all too easily, as if allowed, and for the next second, she would find as if her little attempt at surveying would work. However, somethings happen for a reason, and as her sensors touched the ship, she'd find herself exactly where she's needed.
"Hello, Ehefra," Would come a voice that sounded as if it echoed from the ship directly into her brain. "You've allowed your Reiryoku to touch me. How kind."
Suddenly, Ehefra would find a streamline of information race towards her mind: images of monasteries, gathering of Quincy's worshipping some weird object that floating in the middle of a lake of Reishi, burning homes and dying families, and the shadowy visage of a man unrecognizable sacrificing a newborn child.
And as it came, it was gone, her devices she had launched at the ship destroyed and cutting off whatever was happening to her, leaving Ehefra on her course towards the machine she had decided to fight alone. However, it seemed to have understood what she had just partaken in and raised its arms despite her claims.
"You see-" It started before it caught Ehefra's advance, its hand raised to catch her as they'd stop mid-air. It would then look at her, and she would see behind its visor a single eye that proved it wasn't just a machine before blut started to spread onto Ehefra's hand, capturing her and conjoining the two together.
"I am not like the others."
Had her attack worked? Was it not stunned? Well, with its reveal, stunning one part of it would not stop the other, and as it gathered Reishi into its open palm, combining it with energy that spilled from its body but felt separate from the machine, it would point it at her and fire, hoping to send her crashing back down to Earth.

"Uhm, actually, its manipulated reish-"
The sudden shock of information storming through her head jarred her from her snide comment. Her eyes widening as she felt herself briefly shaken from her point of concentration as she blinked rapidly. Suddenly back in the midst of combat. The CLAMP of those arms colliding with her own palms making her eyes widen for a moment as she felt something creeping along her hands, holding her in place.
THWAK.
Without hesitation, she tugged on both of their joint arms and slammed her knee straight into the side of that visor with her full strength. Reishi crackling along her knee as a spiked cap formed, protecting her from the impact as she aimed to pry that visor away. But well, it didn't do much to deal with the hand charging infront of her. A slithering as her tail wound around her midriff protectively before that shot slammed into her and sent her spiraling towards the ground just as that Blut released her, her frame SLAMMING into a care, ripping it clean in half as she gritted her teeth and slowly flexed her fingers, cracking the knuckles. The tail had taken a fair ammoutn of damage, but that still hurt.
"I'm ...sure. That's what you think." She peeled herself from the car and staggered forward. Oh she was feeling that, she hadn't been on her focus. Under normal circumstances, she'd have switched Blut, shed have used a spell. But that link to the ship had been more jarring than she had anticipated.
"But by all means. Why don't you go ahead and tell me just how special you are hm? Is it gonna be how smart you are? Your strength? Your 'Pride as a Quincy'? Go ahead. Tell me."

"What use is any of that in the face of innovation? What makes us special will soon make the world special."
However, there time together is drawing to an end. The main show is beginning. The ground underneath Ehefra's feet would rumble, the city shaking before Ehefra would be hit with a sudden euphoric feeling as she found Reishi rushing towards her in droves. It's intoxicating, almost overbearing, but she'd find her thoughts ripped from that feeling as she'd sense a sudden well of Reishi in the center of the city before seeing the massive tree of it rise up like it was fired from a cannon.
Its form is blinding, pure white energy cackling to life as one giant cylinder struck the dome that contained Jefferson, the energy spiraling outwards like lightning. The machine she was fighting turned from her and began to fly off, heading towards the column of energy as if it understood what's going on.

Well, wasn't that just the sort of thing to raise Ehefra's hackles. The notion of this quincy's powers being wrought upon the world. That was the sort of ambitious that warranted attention. But she didn't have an opportunity to say anything further.
The sudden explosive burst of Reishi caused her to tense and narrow her eyes at the robot, but her Reikaku shifted towards that sudden expenditure of energy with a tingle of unease as she suddenly felt an explosive burst of energy pouring into her body. And some part of her suddenly tingled with an urge. To suddenly and abruptly attack the enemy, to release her full vollstandig and use this suddenl influx of power to go for a vital blow.
But she didn't, the sudden roar of those engines as her opponent soared off left her narrowing her eyes over her shoulder as she looked to the attack being launched at the dome. One that garnered the attention of seemingly all of the enemies in the area. A sigh escaped her and her shoulders went lax as she took a steady breath and took several moments to calm herself. As much as she wanted to charge right after them, well. She'd derived that she wasn't really any match for her own opponent perhaps, much less the other machines as well.
She turned her attention to her surroundings, standing on a platform of reishi, having not moved despite the ground crumbling beneath her thanks to hirenkyaku. For now, it would be better to regroup with the others.
Her lust for blood was, for now, tempered.
