Enter: Kohaku Okumura | He takes shit personally
Kohaku landed on the ground next to Red, watching the hollow disappear. He smirked at the compliment he was given. “Yeah, you pretty good with that thing too,” Kohaku said and then raised an eyebrow at the next ‘I know you’ target. Half way through his description, Kohaku began nodding… He recognized that.
“Yeah, yeah, that’s it, I work there often,” Kohaku said looking off toward the women and children who were just standing there after they saved them.
“Wh-… What are you doing? Go! If you live in this district, you know Shirazumi safe houses, now get to one!” Kohaku shouted at them, pointing them up the street where a lot of people were gathering. The women and children ran past them, a couple being extra cavity creating and actually thanking both men. “Yeah, yeah. Go, kid. Get somewhere sa-…” Another howl came an Kohaku sighed.
“What the fuck is the Gotei even doing?!” he asked, rhetorically, and then decided he was going to need some more help here. “Perforate, Seiryuenko.” Six ghostly looking spears summoned around Kohaku, each floating on their own and keeping around him as he moved. “Whatever you do, don’t get hit by one of these, got it?” Kohaku said and then darted forward toward another hollow.
"I've got these fuckers!" He leapt into the air, obviously someone who preferred the high ground in combat, grabbed one of the spears and threw it at the hollow. The spear “disappeared” into the creature, and before he landed, Kohaku grabbed a second spear and threw it at the hollow’s back. He grabbed the third and tossed it toward a different, smaller hollow, and the same thing happened.
“Rend,” he said and what looked like hundreds of needles ripped out of the insides each hollow, shredding through their bodies and masks. And so they died.

Heisuke Tsuchimikado | Simply Unstoppable
So he got that one right! Heisuke now just needed to figure out from where in there he knew this blue-haired foulmouth. He was at least kind to the women and children. Heisuke waved at them as they all left. The young man was alright, if ill-tempered. Though perhaps he was supposed to be off today like Heisuke was. Emergencies do happen.
"If I had to guess..." Heisuke started to answer Kohaku's question. He had a sincere answer even as the second of the black lines erupted out. Scary. Kohaku released his Zanpakutō and darted forward. He said something, but Heisuke didn't quite catch it. Something about getting hit...? "Was that a question you didn't mean for me to answer?"
Kohaku wasn't the only one who preferred fighting from on-high. A winged, bat-like Hollow dove down and tried to eat Heisuke. He raised his Zanpakutō in an attempt to impale it. It barely would reach. Claws slid down his arms and cut multiple thin red lines. Gritting his teeth, Heisuke spoke. "Stamp your mark." A sickening squelch emerged from the Hollow's head as the shape of his Zanpakutō changed from a flat-tipped cleaver to a long spear while pressed against its mask. "Shutokisen."
Heisuke hefted the dissolving body off of him. He looked up to see Kohaku finishing his attack. He called out to his new friend. "Oh hey, we're spear buddies! Not a common shape. Most people like swords and their Zanpakutō reflects that." Heisuke turned and spun his spear multiple times as another Hollow charged. He jabbed and struck the Hollow with the blunt end of the spear. A small, black mark appeared. He jabbed again and again—each time he struck the mark, it grew.
After a handful of jabs that were mostly keeping the Hollow at a distance and pushed back, Heisuke spun the spear and struck the mark with a strong thrust—this time, he hit with the point. The Hollow staggered and fell, its mask crumbling away as if hit by a hammer many times larger than the small speartip. He braced himself for another onslaught as another, yet-unseen Hollow bellowed an empty cry.

Seeing Red’s spear caused Kohaku’s eyebrow to twitch. This guy… Kohaku stood back and watched the man fight, his used spears slowly reappearing around him as his energy reformed them. He couldn’t exactly tell what Red’s shikai did, but it had one hell of an impact. Hearing the howl of another hollow, Kohaku grabbed onto two of his spears and took a look around. He couldn’t see it.
“Wherever this one is… It’s hiding…” Kohaku said, able to feel the eyes on him. Was it invisible? Small? Concealing itself in some other way? Kohaku shunpo’d back and landed near Red. “Keep your guard up. This one is stronger than any of the rest..."

Heisuke Tsuchimikado | Simply Unstoppable
"Well, I guess we might as well draw it out." Blue was right. This Hollow was stronger, but thankfully not like what was tearing up the Seireitei. It was hard to pinpoint any weaker Reiatsu signatures—the strong ones masked anything that wasn't close to their level. Heisuke stepped away from Blue to be near a collapsed building. He put his leg into some rubble.
"Oh no." Heisuke called out, his voice dry as a desert but projected across the block. "My leg. It is stuck. I can not fight. Ahhh." He waited for a moment. He didn't notice any changes. "Help. Help. I was trying to save the dozens of poor souls trapped in here. They are old and crippled. Won't someone think of the elderly?" Again, he waited...

“How the hell you gonna do that?” Kohaku raised an eyebrow at the man. When Red shoved his foot into some rubble, Kohaku went stone faced and lost all 3D animation. He heard nothing more than crickets, saw a tumbleweed blow down the street, and then Red started calling out more shit to lure out the hollow. Kohaku, for the first time in… he didn’t even know how long, began laughing so hard and loud and obnoxiously that his stomach instantly started hurting. He pointed his spear at Red and laughed more. Soon, he was on his knees, humorously hitting his fist on the ground and then wiping a tear of joy from his eye. “You’re a fucking moron!”

For this to work, Blue needed to be quiet. Then again, they did not strategize. That would need to change for their next battle. The insult was not the first time he'd heard it. It wouldn't be the last. Few were as loud, as determined, or as hard-headed as he was. Put all three qualities in a bag, beat it against a wall, and you've got Heisuke. He was about to start repeating it when the air went still for a moment. He tightened the grip on his spear.
The Hollow was something like a mixture of a scorpion and a centipede—grotesque, large, and terrifying to most. He gave Blue a look of "See?" The Hollow burst out from the building behind the rubble. It looked down on Heisuke, and his leg slid out of its disguise as two massive, meaty claws tried to grab him. He kicked off of the carapace and landed back next to Blue. "Heh. They always fall for the old-people-trapped-in-a-cellar trick." Heisuke spun the spear and kept it spinning as he bent his knees. "Keep it occupied for but a moment." Again, the rocks around his feet rumbled as he pumped Reiryoku through his legs. He needed the moment Kohaku could give to prepare his next strike.

When the air went still, Kohaku instantly stopped laughing and refocused himself. Grabbing two of his spears again, he waited, surprised that this weird hollow fishing attempt may have worked. Seeing the hollow come out, Kohaku rolled his eyes at that smug expression Red tossed his way. “Whatever…” he mumbled before readying himself to fight again. As Red landed next to him, he looked absolutely astonished. “You’ve tried that shit before and it fucking worked!?”
As the Hollow began skittering its way toward them, Kohaku sighed, “Fine.” He shunpo’d in and stopped the hollow mid-charge. Swinging his spear at the hollow’s eye, the creature went to dodge, but it didn’t matter. The spear hit and disappeared. The hollow’s tail came around to stab him, but he moved out of the way on time. Unfortunately, a claw back-handed him enough to make him slide along the dirt, stopping about fifteen feet away. “You ready yet? Or that attack still charging?”

Heisuke Tsuchimikado | Simply Unstoppable
Heisuke watched as Blue danced with the insectoid Hollow.
He could feel his muscles straining with each passing moment. He didn't like having to stand around, but he had a plan. The Hollow was big enough that they wouldn't reach its head with normal tactics. And so, he would have to use something abnormal. It was the same technique he had used before. As Kohaku skidded in the dirt to his side, Heisuke felt himself reach the peak of Rōpo.
Heisuke didn't answer Kohaku with words, but with a red streak. His Shunpo variant carried him at ridiculously high speed—but it came with a trade-off that would become evident later. His spear was thrust out in front. Knee after knee was pierced by his Zanpakutō—ichor painting the street. Heisuke continued past the Hollow as it teetered to one side. He wasn't able to stop due to the uncontrollable nature of Rōpo. He called out to Kohaku. It would be his kill. "NOW!"

Kohaku charged forward again and again, utilizing three of his spears on this freaky mutant bastard hollow before Red finally gave him the go-ahead to move. Once Red finally moved, Kohaku watched as the giant bugs entire side was cut through. The creature fell all to one side and gave Kohaku the opening. He smirked and took the remaining spears in hand, throwing one, two, and three with ease. Waiting for another to reappear, Kohaku shunpo’d above the hollow again, stabbing it. Every time one of his spears made contact, they vanished into the monster.
“Rend,” Kohaku said, a wicked smile on his face as hundreds of green needles exploded out from the hollow’s body, shredding it into nothing more than minced meat, destroying the mask as well. Flesh hit the ground in sloppy plopping sounds before they all finally disappeared. Kohaku dropped down as the hollow vanished from other him and looked to Red. “Not bad…” he said, a genuine compliment, but it was one that Red didn't hear. Kohaku had not realized the bastard ended up like a mile away. "Wh-...what the hell!? WHY ARE YOU OVER THERE?"

Heisuke Tsuchimikado | Simply Unstoppable
Heisuke didn't need to look back after calling back. He believed in Blue. There was an innate trust—a reliance, even. When his momentum finally fell to the point he could safely stop without stumbling, Heisuke did turn around if only to start walking back to where Blue was. The Hollow's form was disappearing, and Heisuke thought he might understand why Blue had given him a warning about friendly fire.
Heisuke began jogging back towards Blue. He didn't want to waste more energy than needed. He spoke loudly over the crackle of wood fire as he neared Blue. "I think in the world of the living, it's called a 'burnout.' I put all of my energy that I'd use for stopping into going after using that energy for stopping to keep me from going." Heisuke looked around and listened intently. He couldn't hear any more Hollow wails at the moment.
Heisuke's Zanpakutō glowed and returned back to its sealed state. Again, no need to waste energy. "You've got some good fighting instincts there. Have you considered..." joining the Gotei was his initial thought, but he quickly shut that one down. That might be too suspicious. "Being a bodyguard? I'm actually part of the Kosaka family. We could always use someone with your kind of talent."
