Re: In the Devil's Wake (Rangiku/Noharu)

Rangiku found herself enjoying the embrace after such a long evening. This had easily been one of the worst days of her life. They had been attacked out of the blue, and the worst part is the people that were attacking weren't just random people. Rangiku had remembered that Orange haired fuck anywhere. However, she wasn't able to engage with him in combat, nor would she be very useful even if she did. She would have just been in the way, and probably wouldn't be here to talk about it. The ichigo she knew is dead and gone, so she wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway. She wondered if there was even a point to trying to talk to him. Would he even see reason? Could he not see that Orihime wouldn't want him to do this? He was causing so much damage and death wherever he went. This wasn't the Ichigo she knew. He's a monster that needs to be stopped.
""I'm fine and so is he. I'm not sure where he went after the fight, but I imagine since he used his mask he couldn't risk some of the bigger issues. All I have is just a few cuts here and there. Nothing close to what you are dealing with."
She spoke gently as she let go of the blonde. Allowing her to push away as she could tell that Noharu was still in pain. She felt bad for keeping her hugged like that. It couldn't have felt good, but whatever she'll be fine. She knew that it wouldn't be too long before Noharu would manage to be back up to full strength. She offered a small smile to the blonde.
"After we got the dragon scared off I went to help as much as I could. The fights that are left I would only be in the way. So, I figure that I should be here with you."

Re: In the Devil's Wake (Rangiku/Noharu)

Noharu closed her eyes and sighed in relief at that, nodding her head as she looked over the woman's body. Yea, nothing seemed to bad. She looked over to her left side, and furrowed her brows. Her arm was gone bast the elbow, just the bend was still there. She'd almost had to cut it off with that rot. That had been close. She took a moment to catch her breath a bit as Rangiku sat back, though she did smile a bit at the mention of the woman being here to look after her. "That's pretty fuckin sweet of ya. I'm on pain meds, but still, s'nice to have a lovely nurse to keep me company." She winked to the woman before sitting back in her bed and sighing.
Yea. She could feel the fights still going on. She well...she felt the same. "You should have some food. I should too. We're going to need to be on alert." She murmured firmly. Wincing a little, she sat upright and stared forward for a moment as she furrowed her brows. "Rangiku. I dunno what's gonna happen after everything settles back down. Who knows who is still alive. I felt a lot of strong spiritual pressures, and at least a few of them I can't feel anymore." She furrowed her brows, her mind...racing. She shoved the blankets off of her lap and turned, sitting up at the side of her bed and taking a steady breath. A shimmer of her own spiritual pressure as she slowly stood up. Fuckfuckfuckfuck! Okayu, Yep., Fucking blowjobbing fuckshits! Oh her hip hurt. But ... she focused her spiritual energy, her reiatsu roiling around her as she slowly forced herself to stand upright, panting a little as she did.
"I'm stable. I shouldnt' be staying here. Even if we can't fight. We need to keep things rolling. There's a lot of fucked bits of soul society. Second Division will be focusing on rescue and healing. But ... we need to regroup. Do a headcount. Find out who'se alive, whose missing, and who is confirmed dead." She murmured firmly, limping slightly towards the opening flap of the tent as she grabbed a spare tent pole and used it as a walking stick, straightening back up a bit.
Still..she winced, and had to pant a little. Even just getting up put her a bit out of breath.
Fuck... right. Her lungs were all fucked up. She tettered, feeling a little lightheaded... and she slowly sat herself back down. "Fuck, that gassy cunt..." She hissed to herself, clutching at her head as she waited for the room to stop spinning.

Ah this was where Rangiku was having trouble with her ribs. Helping some shinigami caused Rangiku to experience a rib or two being shattered. She moved quickly to help Noharu as she watched her having trouble breathing. Rangiku moved as quick as could but couldn't fight the wince and small exclamation as she helped the blonde. Her previous statement of being fine ringing in her ears.
"Alright, I might not be the best right now."
She spoke as she tried to make sure her and Noharu support each other. She didn't want to cause anyone problems for them both. Neither of them was doing very well. If Noharu was paying attention she could also see a wrap around Rangikus right arm as she kept them together.

Noharu blinked for a moment and took a moment to peer at Rangiku. Tch, seemed the woman hadn't been as uninjured as she claimed. "Tch, you shoulda told me you got hurt. Ugh..." she closed her eyes and sighed. One of the nurses walked in and immediately tensed.
"What are you two doing?! Get back in bed immediately! Ugh, your hip's bleeding again. And don't you even give me any lip, Asahi, this is the third time this morning. Lay down, and Miss Matsumoto, you know better than to let her get up." The woman sighed and rubbed her eyelids before helping ease Noharu back into the bed, then furrowing her brows as she took a moment to check on Rangiku. "YOU aught to lie down as well." She murmured, gesturing to one of the other cots before standing up. "I'm going to get you both some tea. When I get back here I don't want to see EITHER of you up and about." She noted firmly, before turning and walking out of the tent.
Noharu felt a sting of sheepishness. Right, she was being stupid, surely someone else was already doing all that. No, she shouldnt be doing this. And seeing Rangiku injured, she gave a worried look. Hm, she'd have to flag down one of the uninjured officers. but that'd have to wait. "Alright, cmon Ran, find someplace comfy to park yourself. Tch, you shoulda said you were hurt." As if she hadnt been just as guilty. God she wished she had something to drink, but the nurses had been insistent she not.
"That girl was one of our students... kinda amusin being on the other side of a scoldin." She smirked, sighing as she laid back. "We should get some rest."

Rangiku would find the bed closest to her friend. She had ended up getting herself injured as she tried to help out some other shinigami. It wasn't even from some crazy big battle, but that was something that she could worry about later. It wasn't the most pressing matter that she was worried about. She just wanted to rest. There was nothing else she felt that she was able to do. It seemed like Captain Rose had things under control, and even if she wanted to talk to Ichigo.... He was much too far gone to do that. She took her time climbing into a cot right next to her blonde friend.
She sighed as she laid down into the cot. Wishing that she hadn't gotten herself injured, but alas what could she do about that now? There wasn't alot that she would be able to do, so she just kinda laid there. Not wanting to move as she allowed herself to look over to Noharu as she spoke out about their former student. It did feel strange to be lectured by someone that she considered a student not all that long ago.
"Yeah, I guess they kinda grow up fast don't they? Remember, she wasn't very good at kaido back then."
Rangiku chuckled to herself as she was living through memories of trying to help the nurse through her kaido lessons. It was something that Rangiku was nowhere an expert on, so she found herself relying on others to help teach that particular student. Just remembering back on the happy times at the academy made her somewhat miss being an instructor.
"Noharu do you ever miss it?"

Noharu blinked a few times as she laid back and glanced over at her colleague. Maybe it was the mild threat of death. Maybe it was the excessive ammount of pain killer in her system. And maybe it was just plain ol nostalgia. But she found herself staring a bit at the woman as she talked about the student. Thinking back. She couldn't remember any of that right then.
But still. She felt it. The tinge of ...familiarity. And she nodded. "Heh, I'm not lucid enough to remember that shit. But boy did she have a mouth on her." She sighed, closing her eyes as she considered the question. Did she miss it?
"Every day. Teaching those kids was a pain in my perfect ass." Only made nicer by the fact it was probably one of the few parts of her not partially rotted. Maybe shed have to get a bag for her head. "But I miss a lot of things. I miss being a Teacher. I miss being in Eigth Division in the old days. I miss sneaking outt a work while NAnao hunted for me with an ass whooping with my name on it." She closed her eyes and sighed, smiling to herself.
"And I miss Shin. But you know. Missin doesn't get you anywhere." She noted with a gentle shrug.

Rangiku nodded and listened to her blonde friend as she looked over to her. A tinge of guilt.flying up in her face as she saw the parts of her that were rotten. Rangiku felt bad to her core about it. From their fight with the dragon, she had almost came out of it completely unscathed while her friend had taken so much damage.
"Missing might not get you much, bur reminiscing does. It's nice to thing about happier times ya know? I just wish that we were close like we are now, back then. Probably woulda made us both better teacher."
She spoke as she thought about s retort for all those vulgar moments of calling Rangikus chest fuck pillows and what not. Noharu, even with her scarred face was still far from ugly. Letting out a giggle before speaking out to the woman next to her.
"Yeah, I guess you do have a nice ass. Also to their credit, if they can make it past your mouth I'm sure they can make it through a few scars. If anything they give you a more bad ass look."

Noharu snorted softly and sighed, starting to giggle a bit before she had to pause and catch her breath at the very idea. "I dunno about ... all that. Already bad enough ... influences on eachother." She sighed, rubbing her eyelids for a moment and waving dismissively at the idea. "Woulda been nice though." She hummed, closing her eyes for a moment as she lightly let her fingers drum on her sternum.
"Oh trust me, my mouth's the first thing theyre gonna get real familiar with, if ya know what I'm sayin~ Haven't sucked someones nuts out their cockhole in a hot minute. But Iunno about all that. I mean, do I think guys would look past my scars? Sure. But do I want someone all ...into them? what am I gonna do, date some fourthie and have to spar them every time I wanna sit on thier wakizashi? No, gracias. Maybe I'll just show off a bit more cleavage or somethin. Or maybe make a move on that nervous little First Devisioner I seen eyeing me." She grinned a bit to herself as she recalled the individual. Didn't even know her name. But hey, it'd be nice to be on the prowl. "Can't be grossed out by scars if theyre between your thighs." She yawned softly and sank further into her pillow. Ah yea... the adrenaline was winding down. Fuck, this bed was feeling so damn warm and comfy.
"Don't worry. We'll snag someone for you too...."

"Too be fair I didn't see to find someone super into them. I just said if they can make it past your vulgarness then they should be able to get over the scars."
The rest of it was pretty standard Noharu speak. So she didn't really get surprised at the fact that she had said something like. In truth it had been quiet awhile since Rangiku had even been on a date. Much more in someone's bed as she laid back into the sheets. Realizing that the sheets were actually really comfortable and warm. As she closed her eyes but continued to speak to her friend.
"Ah, you got someone eyeing you? I'm surprised you don't notice more of them. Were in a pretty similar situation with that, Noha."
Deciding on a Nickname as she spoke to the blonde. Enjoying the easier conversation after such a long hard day. She wanted to make sure that they had a good talk before each drifted off into a slumber. She hoped the blonde would find someone. A part of Rangiku thought maybe they would be good together, but she wasn't entirely sure on that one. She's never really been into chick's.

Noharu waved a hand dismissively and rolled onto her unmaimed side as she listened, a soft yawn escaping her as she shifted slightly. "Beats me. Probably." She hummed softly and sank her head into the pillow as she settled into a slow descent into unconsciousness. Some part of her had something else to say. But she was fast asleep before it came to that.
Exhaustion finally catching up. Comforted by the brief vacation from the horror of everything that had happened.
Reality would set in.
At some point, they would be amongst those picking up the pieces of whatever was left of soul society.
But for now. Noharu fell asleep with nothing but meaningless girl talk in her head.
