To be awoken from a small nap to emergency texts from a dear friend was certainly something that was more than enough to cause Kanako immense concern. Kanako would have liked to rush to Aiko's immediate aid, to go to her friend so she may keep her safe and comfort her where possible. Frankly, the Arrancar had almost done exactly that and rushed heedless to help Aiko. But, reason and instinct overtook her emotional reactions.
As much as Kanako would have loved to immediately go straight to help Aiko, the woman lived in Karakura. Not only was Kanako likely not allowed in there, it was very possible her presence within the city would only make things worse; no matter how much Aiko could advocate for Kanako. The only thing Kanako could really do was to send texts to make sure the woman was okay, and wait for a reply.
Suffice to say, after many back and forth texts, and one very agitated Arrancar barely able to calm down, Kanako and Aiko agreed on a place to meet outside of Tokyo. This area was one not too distant from the relative safety of a city, but in an area where Kanako could take a Garganta to be as close to Aiko as possible within moments. Additionally, because of the circumstances, it was likely a public area. All she needed was a text of readiness... Once it arrived, Kanako left within moments.
Kanako emerged from a Garganta that appeared next to Aiko, or in an alleyway near where they were meeting. Once there, Kanako didn't hesitate to give the woman a hug as long as Aiko didn't refuse in some way that the Arrancar would understand; aka, something very obvious. With Kanako kneeling to give Aiko a proper hug, she wasn't terribly overwhelming as far as height... for now. Additionally, the moment Kanako saw Aiko, the woman's slit pupils dilated widely to take in more of the woman; to ascertain her physical condition. Additionally, Kanako let a gentle silence occupy them before she spoke, to allow Aiko time to speak of she wished. Afterwards, however, Kanako would unseal her lips.
"I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner... I would have been by your side the moment you sent your first text if not for... Well, I'm sure you understand. Tell me anything you can tell me that wasn't in your texts, please. I wish to know what my friend has been entangled in."

•AIKO AIMI•
BLOOD AND PASSION WOVEN TOGETHER
GOTHIC DREAMS AND CRIMSON POWER
Aiko returned the hug as she wasn't too surprised that Kanako would want to squeeze her after the ordeal she has been through. But, despite the physical affection, she still had a more stern and serious expression on her face. It was a look of contempt as she scowled and looked Kanako in her eyes.
"You seem smaller....good for you."
Trying to sound more cheerful, it was a half-hearted attempt, but she was still in a piss bad mood. So, she sighed and nodded along with the words Kanako said as she apolozied for not being there.
"Don't worry about it. It isn't your fault."
Her voice was flat as she gave Kanako a pat on the shoulder. It wasn’t meant to be dismissive, but Aiko’s mind was elsewhere, clouded by frustration and exhaustion.
Another sigh escaped her as she glanced around, her body language tense and guarded.
"And I'm not sure where to begin, so let's walk and talk."
Pulling her hood up, Aiko looked around as if weary people were following her and motioned for Kanako to keep moving.

Aiko certainly seemed to be in a rather horrible state, all things considered. Additionally, Kanako knew that scowl, while potent, wasn't for the Arrancar before Aiko. With Kanako arising from her knees, and disregarding Aiko's comment about her smaller stature as she wasn't actually taller, Kanako tilted her head somewhat as she looked at the woman. Don't worry about it? Too late, already worried about it. However, Kanako did acquiesce to Aiko's request and put the specific worry on the back burner and focused on Aiko. Truth be told, Kanako was deeply worried for Aiko's safety, because her place being burnt down like that was no accident.
"I only wish I could have been at your side sooner."
After Kanako stood, resuming her full height, she followed Aiko closely. While Aiko was wary, looking every direction her eyes could reach, Kanako's other senses were on high alert; energy, smell, hearing, and anything else that she could use to suss out anything that may pose a threat. However, Kanako's eyes mostly remained on Aiko. Aiko was likely Kanako's only true friend, and she was determined to keep her safe.
"What will you do now, Aiko? You seethe with frustration, and I doubt rest has been available... Shouldn't... Shouldn't you briefly leave this place behind, create distance between you and those who burnt down your home?"
Kanako stared at Aiko for a bit longer, only briefly adjusting her gaze to glare at someone who was staring at the pair of them; putting all the force of her intent on that individual for a brief moment. It was long enough to frighten, but no more. Afterwards, Kanako rested one of her large hands upon the woman's shoulder with all tenderness.
"I'll help you how I can, Aiko. Be it a place to rest your head, or something far more... destructive. But, we should not act with haste, else we shall bite our own tails."
