How to get wings? (Stella/Edelo)

Stella waited to see if she was going to be berated. Hoeever hearing his tone calm down she thought about the situation. She assumed that she was givne sympathy for that green haired bitch demon deciding to try and ruin Stella's life. Luckily strlla has been on the bounce back atleast for a little bit now. She wanted to get better, but it was also little bit of a slow process.

"Uhm yeah i have. They're helping they really are. I'm better than I was."

She spoke truthfully as it had taken a little bit for her to be allowed out of the hospital. To even be allowed to pick up her "bow' again. She wondered if it had been too soon, but no. She needed to push through this.

Edelo nodded slowly as he watched the woman closely. "I see. Well then, let's see what you've got then. But enough of that 'challenge' stuff. I want to see what you can do." The training area revved back up and a platform was constructed from reishi, one which he jumped up onto and then turned, waiting for her to do the same as it floated up into the air. More layers forming, slowly creating an arena that was almost like a stadium with raised layers on the outter sections almost forming a bowl.

"We start simple. Sound good to you?"

Stella nodded as she hopped up into the arena. She didn't want to use steigen yet as she would rather keep that in her back pocket. Even if he had a hunch that she could use it, perhaps she would be able to catch him off guard. She summoned her axe to her hand as she carefully waited for the match to start. She didn't want to start something too early, so she sat patiently.

"I'm ready when you are."

Edelo nodded and hopped up into the arena and watched her closely. Good, it was a welcome shift to see the change in demeanor. He was still a bit concerned, but at the very least, he saw some fight in her. He let out a slow, steady breath and then took a stance across from her in the little arena. A soft crackle as Reishi consolidated into aolid cement0like structures around them. A number of large 2 meter thick pillars forming around them. Nothing crazy, but something to make the environment a bit more interesting than simply a rumble bowl.

" Feel free to make the first move." He offered with a light smile, tipping his head back in a 'come at me' gesture. A soft crackle of green forming around his feet as he watched her closely. Slowly circling the woman as he waited for her to make a move. He was calm as he waited, after all, this was hardly a life or death conflict, and he did eye her axe thoughtfully. Curious if she had dulled it, but well, he'd find out soon enough.

Stella had in fact come around to dulling her blade instead of swinging with the flat side. It didn't do much for training as swinging like that made her fight the air which slowed her down. She wouldn't waste any time though as she quickly ran forward towards the red haired man. Wanting to test and see what all he could do. They were going to start slow, so she simply made a lunge.

"Got it."

Making a basic lunge with a fairly easy to read swing. The dulled axe would be swung towards his right arm. She wasn't going to start with a faint as there was no reason to in her mind. What if he would expect a faint right away?

Edelo was relieved when he noticed the shift in Stella's demeanor. That injured, fractured face shifting slightly as she focused instead on the fight itself. Though he had to say he was a bit surprised at the simplicity with which she lunged towards him. All the same, he shifted to the side and swept his palm in, just sliding out of the way of that weapon as it flew by him, his expression brightening slightly as he observed her.

"A solid attack! Direct, but we're starting small." He noted with a smile, a crackle of green energy coursing along his arms and legs for a moment as he did. He slid towards Stella at the end of that swing and shoved his shoulder against her own. He hardly was as strong as her, but he was curious to see just how much she put into that swing. If she put her full weight into it, then he'd be able to knock her slightly off balance. Checking to see the weight of her swing, and also how sturdy her stance was.

Basic stuff to start with.

He'd shove his shoulder into her, but she wouldn't let that knock her too off balance. She didn't put all of her weight behind the swing, but she did put some. The shoulder check did manage to cause her to stumble slightly as she caught herself with her right leg. Quickly she used this to spring forward and instead of an axe swing she would go for a punch. Leavimg the axe in the ground as she tried to hit the man. It seemed they were pretty close to each other.

"You're good"

She complimented as she readied herself for some kind of counter attack. She wasn't sure what it was going to be, or how strong it was going to be. For now it seemed like they were around even and Stella even having a slight advantage.
