Past, Present, Future [Sajin, Open to all]

SAJIN KOMAMURA
After meeting with and securing aid from Shishiyuki Koizumi, enough to fund a regiment of Shinigami including food and housing, Sajin made his way to the Sixth Division Barracks. He heard from an ex-member of the squad the barracks were nearly empty, with perhaps only a few stragglers unsure of where to go next still hanging about. Sections of the building were damaged, ranging from missing roofing to total rubble. Sajin made a mental note to visit his old third seat Ken Sawachika about some help rebuilding.
Sajin narrowly avoided being consumed by nostalgia as he walked the barren hallways of the old Sixth Division. Old Sixth Division. He thought silently to himself about how it was actually the new Sixth to him. All of it was new to him, but to everyone who just went through the unimaginable it was old, a thing of the past. There would be those who clung to it, desperately seeking a continuation without change. Sajin wasn't sure if the answer was in the past or future, all that mattered was doing his duty.
After walking through the Barracks, Sajin ducked through a doorway and came out into a wide training yard that stretched into every direction. He hoped his message about building something here would pass from Shishiyuki to interested ears, though now all he could do was wait.

RANMA GEKIRETSU
All that mattered was the now. And right now, Ranma caught winds of a Koizumi Shishiyuki… and it aligned with his desires from what he cemented in his short talk with Masamune. Purely, simply – he wanted the 8th to be there. Not even in name, but just in spirit – he wanted to make sure that Captain Rose’s squad weren’t made undone. He, too, wanted to keep his boss’ legacy moving… so that when Captain Rose would wake up, his squad would still be there to welcome him back.
It was very ideal, but Ranma was driven by ideals. Desires and wishes. Any young strap was. And Murasaki's Gotei aligned with that ideal of his.
“C’mon, c’mon, c’mon, c’mon, c’mon! Can’t wait in the Seireitei for too long…” Ranma echoed to himself as he sprinted towards the Sixth Division’s pretty much destroyed barracks, wondering why the meeting place was here of all places. Noharu had adviced him to gather 8th members outside of the Seireitei to avoid problems, but he wanted to hear more about-
*BUMP!*
He… just ran into a wall. Dude’s eyes were spinning, and he lied flat on the training floor, his eyes gazing up in the air where angels spun around his skull… but most of the sky was utterly shadowed by a colossal being. And I mean, a huge creature. Gigantic fuckin’ mountain of a dudeman.
Wait…
Ranma quickly leapt up on his feet again, dusting off his Shihakushō. This guy… he had an unbelievably imposing figure, and to be honest, the height and width was 65% of it. The rest was a rather menacing aura, but… no… his face looked so friendly and… canine? “… Oh, are you the one who spread the message? Thank you, big guy,” Ranma asked with a big, fat thumbs-up at the guy’s face – several feet away given the difference in heights, “Sorry for the blunt, but YOU. ARE. TALL.”
Ranma would even try to leap on his toes a bit to try and cover the difference in height… all in vain. It was very awkward. Ranma himself wasn’t a beastman, but he ditched the bandages around his mouth for now – bluntly showcasing the scars widening his mouth like some sort of urban legend. It was a bit contradictive to his cartoonish attitude.
"… Uh, I'm Ranma. Gekiretsu Ranma, from the previous-yet-still-there 8th Division. I…"
Ranma's eyes were glued to the drip, specifically the awesome gauntlets that this big guy was wearing. A one-thought-at-a-time Shinigami, indeed, but those gauntlets were so unbelievably cool to the view. "Woooooooooooooooooooooooah…"

Tentō Zefā | The Unrefined Paragon
The chaos within Soul Society was one that kept everyone and everything weak people crumbled, killers given a chaotic field to fill their glee, greedy schemers an open field to plant their base, and soldiers in a broken system stuck to pick up all the pieces. Even with solace of knowing he had like minded individuals at the Koizumi estate as well as some of his brother and sisters from the 4th, the weight of it still was a pain in the neck for Tento.
Be as it may it was the world they had now. And there was no point in running from it or hiding. And as messages of someone of the elder Gotei 13 wishing to do something within the 6th Division’s barracks, why, Tento had to at least check it out. Not all of the 4th was together, different ideology and purpose now. But it's spirit, the muscle of the Gotei. That had to be presented in its worth if it came to anything true to the Gotei.
And so, Tento strolled into the Sixth Division’s nearly deserted training yard, his eyes scanning the remnants of what was once a bustling hub. Ah the memories he madr visiting in the few years he had under his belt…
It was far easy to notice his energy, as relaxed as he was. Before witnessing the overwhelming height. And people called him tall. Sajin practically made him look like a teenager. The man that fought Ichigo Kurosaki for the sake of the Soul Society… A towering figure with a friendly yet imposing presence, honor and tenacity following his reputation like a shadow.
Taking in the few within the eoom so far he noticed another presence, one a bit more familiar. He stepped forward offering a respectful nod to Sajin before turning his attention to Ranma. A very…animated man still but there was a bit of new view for him. His face was uncovered.
Ge gave a hearty laugh before giving a friendly pat to Ranma's back. “Glad to see you still got pep in your step man. Glad you still kicking”. Tento then turned more to Sajin, eyeing the gauntlets. They were certainly cool but there was, more to it. As much as an oodball Ranma was he had a heck of instincts and insight in a way. These gauntlets held history, they told stories of battles and resilience.
Tento offered a bow to Sajin and by product Ranma. “I’m Tento Zefā, 5th seat of the now former 4th Division. It’s good to see the spirit of the 8th Division still burns bright. Captain Rose would be proud”, he said before returning to a rather laxed position. Now that formalities were getting started he wondered how many more people would show up.

SAJIN KOMAMURA
A couple Shinigami trickled in here and there, each going up to Sajin to introduce themselves and learn a little more about their now-shared purpose. He explained to each his objective, asked them to fill out some basic information which they did by grabbing sheets from a stack of papers that asked about their previous Division, rank, and other things. They milled about after, assessing the damage done to the Sixth Division barracks which wasn't as bad as it seemed from the outside.
Suddenly a thud sounded out, accompanying something hitting Sajin. He looked around then turned his yellow eyes down, where he saw a frazzled Shinigami appear confused and on the ground. "Are you alright?" he asked gently, his figure intimidating in size only. Before he could reach down to offer a helping hand up the young man had already returned to their feet and started talking, proving he was at least feeling fine despite the collision.
At nine and a half feet tall, Sajin already knew he was tall. In his life he had ducked through more doorways than not, and occasionally he had to enter or exit sideways as well due to his imposing width as well. He was fine with all this; after all, the world wasn't built for him. It was built for people like Ranma, who introduced himself after a short time. "It is good to meet you, Gekiretsu Ranma. I am Komamura Sajin. Welcome-"
Just then another man appeared, one who apparently already knew Ranma. Good! thought Sajin, glad there would be some familiarity and comradery already amongst those who came here, interested in what he had to say. "Welcome, Tento Zefā. I am Komamura Sajin. I was sorry to hear about Captain Ōtoribashi, I did not know him well but I understand he fell in battle, as I did. We must remain optimistic about his recovery."
Unsure of how many others would show up, at least right now, Sajin decided it would be best not to wait. "I do not know what brought you here, whether it was word directly from Lady Koizumi or virulent rumors. You both should understand there are and will be other factions vying for control of Soul Society, and I would not fault you for considering the options. Our purpose here is not control, however. It is duty. The duty to protect Soul Society and the Balance, without ulterior motives or being beholden to the whims of others. I believe with the right people this can all be achieved. The Gotei was always greater than the sum of its parts, but it was great individuals, Captains and unseated officers alike, who made it what it was. It is my hope to replicate that, to rebuild and build something even better."

Rangiku knew that she felt a familiar presence. She made her way there with haste. He probably had an idea as to what to do. Right now she was pretty lost. She still needed to find Noharu and work through Hopefully helping her figure out what she wants to do. She arrived faster than she thought as her mind was deep in thought as she quickly bowed to the captain. It had been a long time since she had seen him.
"It's good to see you, Captain Kommamura."

RANMA GEKIRETSU
Oh, this guy sounded regal. The atmosphere lifted itself immediately with his welcoming voice, almost directly commanding awe and respect from the Shinigamis around him, but especially from Ranma’s sparkling eyes. Now, he might’ve lowkey skipped a few history classes back at the Shin’o Academy, but he did remember-
“Komamura… oh, you were a Captain back then! And a pretty awesome one at that,” he revived his memory out loud, nodding in approval, “Nice to see ya around! Glad that you’re still kickin’ – we could need as much help as possible.” The powerful Arrancar who destroyed the Senkaimon had been in battle with Komamura, so Ranma was relieved that the big, armored beastman lived to fight another day. There was something about him that made Ranma feel docile and awestruck.
While making use of the sheet he got, Ranma wrote down his previous 13th Seat position in the previous 8th Division, thinking about Captain Rose and his state. Captain… don’t worry. The 8th will still be there when you wake up again – and so will the Gotei.
Mr. Komamura’s words resonated with Ranma’s ideal of the Gotei United, or what the Gotei United truly stood for… but there was a tint of a warning. The many factions that would soon form, each vying for leadership of Soul Society… it sounded like the ingredients for yet another war! Oh, may it not happen, please don’t. Not after everything they’d already been through.
…
…
“RANNY!” his surprised, squealing voice called out towards his previous-yet-still-wanna-see-her-as Vice-Captain as he leapt in for a big, heartfelt hug! His arms wrapped around her torso like a child who sought refuge in their parent after having been punched, and he was sobbing profusely. “You’re alright! They said you recovered, but I was afraid that- I-I- that like Noharu- that-“
Poor kid. Even with half his face smushed, he was preoccupied with the sheer feeling of relief that his dear Vice-Captain was well. "*sniff* W-Wait, more factions? I thought there were only two, Koma-boss… wait, that- that just came out of my mouth there…" Already got the big boss a nickname? That meant they were friends now.

Tentō Zefā | The Unrefined Paragon
Tento surveyed the scene, feeling the weight of the responsibility that had fallen on their shoulders. As Sajin spoke, Tento nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of their mission and the challenges ahead. It was nice to see someone so strong and with so much experience focus on the duty of the Gotei and Shinigami. If all was true then this was another person Tento could hope to aid keep that spirit alive even in disbandment.
Named or not. It was easy to see that there were many factions already. People aligned with Central 46, people who had the idea of the Gotei United, heck maybe just the Gotei 13 older ways. People who hated all and focused on the Rukongai. And the opportunist within each that wanted personal gains and not the betterment of the whole and safety of balance. The safety Of this needed power, it needed control. But duty and honor shouldn't be lost along the way.
Moving to fill out his own paperwork, Tento logged the details he communicated as well as a bit more. On the sheat he wrote down his 5th seat position within the 4th and as a Shino instructor. Finishing writing he gave a thought. He had checked in on the unseated officers he knew but.what was his Captainand Vice Captainup to? Shura? Armina? He hadn't heard much from them given all of this busy work he took up. “Regardless of what lays ahead. Our duty is clear. To protect Soul Society through justice and restore balance”. It was as deep as that to Tento. As Sajin said, they must act without ulterior motives and with a pure heart. Less they become The very thing they wish to stop.
Turning his attention to Ranma, Tento couldn’t help but smile at the enthusiasm and energy the Shinigami brought. It felt good to the soul. In that time a presence came. A veteran beauty appearing and giving respect to Komamura.Looking at Rangiku, who had just arrived, Tento offered a respectful nod with a bright smile. “It’s good to see you again, Rangiku. I'm so glad you made it out safe after our battle. Is Noharu doing okay??”. He asked hopefully getting an answer before giving Komamura his full attention. A bright determination burning intently in his eyes as he turned back to him.

SAJIN KOMAMURA
"Thank you, Ranma. Though I have failed more often than not, I must still do my duty as a Shinigami."
Surprise appeared on Sajin's face at the arrival of the old Tenth Division Vice Captain. She was a difficult woman to forget between her vibrant hair and bubbly personality. He did not know her terribly well, though Sajin had held her squad in high esteem. Hitsugaya was a young man he saw many great qualities in, and between the two of them they kept a hard working, vibrant Division. "I am glad you appear well, Miss Matsumoto. Welcome. I was just informing these two of our mission statement-
Sajin's thoughts were interrupted by a surge of excitement from Ranma, who appeared overjoyed to see Rangiku again. It was more than just happiness though as the man's flurry of emotions told a more complicated story, one involving sorrow as well. Sajin's attention turned to Tento, who was reminding him more of his old Seventh squad the more he spoke. Not daring to interrupt, the towering Wolfman stood in silence as the reunion played out before him. He allowed them ample time to discuss what first came to mind before speaking once more.
"Though what I am building is meant as the spiritual successor to the Gotei, it is not the Gotei itself. The Jieitai, as it's name suggests, is meant to serve the Soul Society in its defense, made up of those among us who wish to fight for their home and neighbors. The Jieitai will of course also prioritize the balance, serving as its main protector. I had been seeking out a capable leader, but Lady Koizumi informed me there may not be such a person ready and willing to loyally serve Soul Society. I do not consider myself worthy of leading, but I will do whatever is necessary. I can only ask the same of all of you."
Then, Sajin turned his attention back to Ranma who appeared unsure of more factions rising up. "The consequences of the Gotei dissolving and thus Central 46 not having a firm grip on control allows Shinigami who value loyalty and duty to step in, but it also opens the door to many others. Know this, all of you: Though I have not been active within the Seireitei of late, there are certainly many figures waiting to see what is born in the aftermath of Erika Masamune's decision, as well as those who see it as an opportunity to advance their own intentions. Above all, we must remain wary and vigilant if we are to build something lasting." Though he didn't want to scare these three, Sajin knew reality must be confronted head-on in times like these.

Rangiku listened to him speak. She was in the same boat as Kommomura. She didn't feel she was ready to lead an entire organization like that. If someone wanted a damn good vice captain in this new organization then shed love to. Shed like to serve a again though. She wasn't ready to geel those types of shoes. Honestly she thought shed be more of a career 2nd in command for whoever of a squad.
"Could you lead it for the start of the organization? I dont think I'm commander worthy like that. Unless we can find someone like Captain Rose."

RANMA GEKIRETSU
”Noharu’s recovering, Tentō! I met her earlier… she’s such a trooper,” Ranma sniffed, for some reason still clinging to Ranny as if she was his aunt, “You should go give her flowers, too, b-but make sure to knock on the door first! I kinda… forgot last time…”
… So, uh, yeah, just leaving that out there. Then again, with his impulses, of course he’d barge in at the news of Noharu’s injuries the first time – and oh boy, he got a sharp view of her. Not gonna lie, he was proud to work under her back then… but he was also stupidly loyal to his love, so he didn’t allow that very, very, very alluring view to taint his mind.
As a matter of fact, he had to go tell Koga that Noharu was still ‘in critical condition’ so he could do the same thing and get a view too. Bros supported each other like that.
… Koma-boss sure was humble. Sure, Koma-boy – wait, that sounded wrong – Koma-boss hadn’t been in the Gotei United, and he hadn’t seen him for… well, ever. Such a big guy was good at hiding, funny enough.
What he was building… the Jieitai… was this what Masamune and Lady Koizumi were planning? From what Koma-dono said, it was a neat idea. What frightened Ranma a little was… his squad. Captain Rose was still in a coma, and despite his efforts, it was hard to gather everyone on the same topic. They’d all been loyal to Captain Rose for years, and the sheer effort it must’ve taken to gather that trust and loyalty from them… that Captain was special.
But in the wake of all of this, left to his own devices… shit was scary. But Ranny had a good point – some initial leadership was necessary. “Seconded. I mean, I only got to lead for like a day… not exactly Rose-level or anything like that. You've been a Captain before, too, right?”
The atmosphere was one of those serious ones, eh? Ranma sought refuge under Ranny, magically much shorter than normal, like a child seeking refuge under the shade of his mother. Her bust provided a very efficient umbrella for now, but it also likely put him in trouble again.
