Third Times The Charm! [Private: Ikari/Ryo]

Ikari was a little worried that Ryo had been completely quiet during their walk over. Frankly speaking, Ikari was a little worried about Ryo after her elongated silence. Not to mention, when Ikari leaned up against Ryo and she stiffened, the Kitsune gently moved herself off Ryo. She didn’t want to make the woman uncomfortable, after all. Sometimes Ikari just needed to be told to respect others' boundaries.

When Ryo finally spoke up, the Danava was a bit relieved. She was worried that Ryo wasn’t going to speak at all. To hear her voice as the woman looked at Ikari before she gently removed herself from Ryo’s shoulder was nice. Ikari turned her attention to the menu fully, deciding upon hotpot for two; along with a few pieces of nigiri.

Ikari flagged down a waiter and ordered their food. Afterwards, Ikari wanted to lean against Ryo again; but the woman’s tension from before made her pause. Their food would be here soon but for now… she really wanted to just relax… but not at the cost of Ryo’s comfort.

“Hey Ryo… Can I rest my head on your shoulder… please~?”

Yes, Ryo’s tense did cause the woman to shirk away the tiniest amount. She was worried. Ikari was worried her genuine lack of personal space was bothering Ryo. However, the woman soon stated otherwise; and pulling Ikari back in by her arm made it quite obvious as well~!

Ikari smiled warmly when Ryo verbally acknowledged that she could. Ikari sidled closer, gently wrapped her right arm around Ryo’s left, if the woman allowed it, and then rested her head against Ryo’s shoulder. It was there that Ikari waited very patiently for them to receive their food. Even if Ryo had an inferiority complex, right now Ikari holding onto Ryo like this may help the smallest amount. After all, there were many attractive men and women in the world, but Ikari was Ryo.

“Try not to worry about em too much, unless it involves me. Let’s focus on food for now~”

Ikari purred softly as she settled in against Ryo. She was oddly peaceful, and seemingly drifted between being asleep and being awake. However, the smell of their approached food caused one of her ears to perk slightly. Her eyes opened lazily as she spotted the hot food being brought for them. The hot pot was complete with thin strips of meat for the hot pot, along with seafood, and various vegetables that were already within the boiling broth.

Ikari purred as she partially moved off Ryo to get a few pieces of seafood into the hot pot; along with strips of meat. She let it all cook, her right arm staying wrapped around Ryo’s arm. When things were cooked, Ikari served them small bowls of the hot pot. They had an array of veggies, the meats and seafood, and Ikari did her best to divvy things up. Afterwards, Ikari smiled and pushed the bowl in front of Ryo.

“Eat up hun. Eat as much as you like; I know I will~ If you want any of the sushi, just tell me.”

With that, Ikari began to eat with the air of a starved woman. She wasn’t uncouth, but nor was she exactly “polite”. Not to mention, even after she stopped holding Ryo’s arm, she stayed as close to Ryo as their meal would allow. No sense in bumping elbows and all, but she wanted Ryo to know, without saying it, that she was there for her~

Ikari took in Ryo’s words with sincerity as Ikari began to eat with gusto. She swiftly freed up Ryo’s arm so she could eat her food with both hands as well. Ikari consumed her food with that same surprising grace, but she definitely didn’t eat entirely like a lady. She wasn’t messy, per se, but she certainly wasn’t prim and proper or all that shit. Eh, Ikari was the Danava of Kitsune. She was a Kitsune, why would she be all prim and proper? Nope! She was mischievous and fun loving, not prim and proper. Which was why Ikari ate with grace and gusto, glad to finally fill her tummy up with some proper food~!

However long it took for them to enjoy their meal properly, Ikari would finish first. Frankly speaking, her finishing first could likely be due to how much she ate in so little time. It may be a bit impressive how much she could put away. The Kitsune did, however, leave more than enough hot pot for Ryo to eat; because Ikari ate a good portion of the sushi she had ordered. Otherwise, everything else was for Ryo to eat or to take in a to-go container.

Once Ikari was finished, she leaned back against her seat and gently rested her head upon Ryo’s shoulder. Her tails lay on either side of her, echoing the Danava’s sated state. She could sit here, for just a little while longer. Ikari purred softly as she remained there, clearly in a state of ‘almost ate too much, still feeling good’. Eventually, however, as Ikari’s eyes remained closed while her head was on Ryo’s shoulder, the woman spoke softly.

“Thank you for the food, Ryo~ I can’t let you pay for it all yourself; at least lemme help out a little. I ate like a pig…”

Ikari yawned after she was done speaking, a wide yawn that showed her sharp canines. Perhaps it was a little alarming how sharp they were… But she wasn’t a vampire or anything! She was a Kitsune, it came with the programming. But right now, Ikari felt like turning into a small fox, crawling into Ryo’s jacket, and falling asleep again. She was still quite tired… Food helped, but a full tummy made her feel even more tired! Ikari did make sure, however, to get out at least 50 or more dollars, in yen at least, and placed it on the table for Ryo to add to whatever she needed to do for payment. After that, Ikari settled against Ryo in content.

“We can leave when you’re ready…~”

Ikari didn't really notice if Ryo was concerned about how the Danava was eating, she was hungry! The poor Kitsune had used far too much energy to heal up Ryo. Even if it wasn't entirely necessary, the Kitsune had been very worried about Ryo's well being! Eventually, once the bill came, Ikari insisted on paying for at least half the bill, or all of it if Ryo allowed her. Either way, the Danava soon found herself feeling quite tired... She would love another nap. This time, Ikari stifled her yawn as she stood up from their table, which looked rather neat and clean despite how ravenously Ikari consumed her food. Truth be told, the way she ate was likely more akin to a wild lupine of some sort.

"That was wonderful, Ryo~ Thank you for taking me somewhere to eat! I hope you enjoyed it too..."

Ikari did look rather worried about whether or not Ryo enjoyed her meal as well. However, the Danava did follow Ryo out of the restaurant whenever the woman was ready to go. After Ikari had looked around somewhat, she rubbed her eyes somewhat. She definitely needed more rest. However, her home wasn't nearby enough for her to just casually go to; and she didn't feel like sleeping somewhere as a fox that wasn't comfortable. She had to think about it for a little bit before she looked at Ryo... She'd hate to impose. Frankly speaking, even asking it caused a bit of reluctance.

"Hey R-Ryo... Uhm... Do you have some place I could rest for a bit? Like, a proper good night's sleep kinda thing."

Ikari nodded her head in conformation. Of course she was still tired! She hadn't really been out that long when she was in that little hospital, even if everyone did give her weird side-eyes because of her tails and ears. She needed a bed and someplace relatively safe for her to take a proper sleep! Otherwise, this issue would persist for the next couple of days. Ikari may not be the strongest individual in the world, but rest was still very important!

"I did think about sleeping in the woods as a fox, but that's just so uncomfortable and unsafe! I can pay for wherever we go; or at least pay for my fair share. I don't want you paying for me all the time,"

Afterwards, Ikari let Ryo lead the way once again, taking the woman's hand to make certain they wouldn't get separated. Truthfully speaking, this may be a bit of an annoyance for Ryo, but Ikari was glad to have someone to spend time with. Yuukinan was off... somewhere, she didn't really know where. To have Ryo was a blessing in disguise~! But, really, she did mean every word she had said. She would pay for her fair share whenever appropriate, and yes... she was going to sleep in the woods as a fox. Ryo would just have to ask about that, now wouldn't she~?
