Deep down, Sabriel knew why Stella had asked that particular question and another deep sigh escaped the Arrancar. It was killing her inside just to talk about the invasion and all she had done by doing so was put the redhead in a horrible situation. God, the dark haired woman hated herself in that moment and she mused that perhaps she should just leave. To go into any more detail would simply cause more pain, for the both of them and already she regretted bringing it up.

“I wish that was the case but no. He wanted revenge on the Shinigami. That was the desire that burned within his heart and soul, to see them taken down a peg.” She finally replied, looking thoroughly miserable. “That was what he sought and in the end, he achieved what he so badly wanted. There was a time where I would have been as happy as him but those days are long since past. I no longer seek such things and after going through that chaos, I will not take part in any more of his schemes.”

Stella listened to her as her heart completely sank. All the sudden she felt light headed and that she felt like she was going to throw up. A silent few tears fell as there was nothing but the soft breathing coming from Stella. Her mind racing between her duty and what she wanted to do as a friend. However, the woman had absolutely committed and atrocity that Stella can't show support for. The need to vomit entered her, but she has never been happier to be in a crowded place. She can't fight right here.

"I......Sabriel, I have to be honest with you. According to my organization I should be trying to either bring you in or stop you from being a future threat."

She spoke as she tried to keep her voice from wavering. It was obvious that she was struggling with what she needs to do. What had happened wasnt something that should have happened. Regardless of your feelings genocide is never the answer.

"I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes you make bad decisions for the sake of others. Maybe there's a way that we could get you help?"

SABRIEL VENTRESS

It was not only Stella that was struggling and Sabriel could feel her stomach tightening as the redhead spoke to her. She was intelligent enough to understand where her friend was coming from and felt horrible for putting Stella in the position she had. The Arrancar cursed her misfortune that she had run into the Quincy that day, when she was so fragile that she could not even mask her feelings.

“We both know that if you try to bring me in through force then we will both end up regretting it.” Sabriel replied miserably. “I do not want to fight you nor bring you any more grief than I already have. I want this all to go away and pretend it never happened.” She knew that was simply not going to be an option deep down but just for once, the dark haired woman did not have a motherly and mature head on her shoulders. “I have no idea what I am going to do.”

Her tone became darker, filled with self loathing. “I have become a slave to my own aspect. Following those with greater desires than I and following their lead without argument.”

SABRIEL VENTRESS

Leaning back against the wall they were sitting by, Sabriel would fold her arms across her chest, her gaze unfocused. “We had a conversation just a short time ago about not letting our aspects rule us, Veralia and I.” She sadly uttered. “It appears that I have completely failed when it comes to that but I will do my best to put things right and seek her out for guidance. No doubt she is going to give me an earful as well for all of this.”

She would pause then, thinking about what else to say, the memories of the invasion flaring up in her mind. There had been moments where she had been so eager to fight, to force her enemies to fight each other and to cause chaos and that frightened her more than anything. That young Shinigami who she had fought and honestly overpowered, leaving her on the bloody ground to whatever her fate would be. Was that truly who she was? A being of chaos? A creature who simply obeyed the whims of others whether they are benevolent or not in nature.

She could feel tears welling up as well for the first time since…since? She did not even know. Sabriel had never been a woman to truly regret until now and yet here she was, feelings flooding through her body and soul that she could hardly describe. What was happening to her?

“I will not encounter him again nor any other who desires the destruction of others.” The Arrancar eventually added. “I have no desire to use my powers for such a purpose again.”

Stella was glad that Sabriel was going to go to talk with Veralia. Stella wasn't able to help arancar with their nature's or at the very least she couldn't give real advice that would mean anything. They really are too different to even sttempt doing that. Stella didn't really have to pay as high of a price for her powers. She simply had to train she didn't really have to master an entire section of her being.

"I....im glad that you sae the error with what you did. However, I do have one request from me."

She spoke directly to the arancar as she wondered how much was too much. It seems this was weighing very heavily on the arancar, and Stella could feel for her. However, Stella also felt for the lives that were pointlessly taken in the attack on the Soul Society. It wasn't just about the shinigami. What about the countless plus that have moved on into the after life.

"I think you should try to make things right. Rather it be turning yourself in, or trying to make it up in some way. This isn't just about the shinigami. What about all of those helpless souls that surely were wiped away in a flash. The gotei has its flaws, but those souls can't go unguarded."

“I am unsure what I can do in order to make up for it all. There are those who took part whose powers made mine look completely useless and I certainly lack the strength to do anything against them through force. I sympathise for those who lost their lives and I was so naive to believe that this could all happen without that occurring. Looking back now, I am not sure what I was thinking at all or if I even was in my right mind.” Sabriel answered glumly, attempting to think of what she could do to try and make things right. “All I have is the name of the man whose desire I so foolishly helped to fulfil. He has tried so hard to play the role of the genius behind the scenes but what he failed to realise was that there was someone he did open up to. Me.”

There was an internal battle within her at that stage as she fought over whether she should continue with that thought. To reveal him would break the bond that they had developed but on the other hand, perhaps it would help bring peace to the whole affair? Should she even care about him anymore after what had happened? Her aspect was telling her that she could keep her word but beneath was something else, a sense of self preservation that was telling her to give him up. She had gained nothing from his plots. Why should she risk herself any further by covering for him?

"It won't be easy for you to make up for what you've done. However, I think that you owe it to those you've hurt. Most importantly you owe it to yourself."

Stella spoke as she thought about the situation. Again she was thankful for the crowded streets around them. It was preventing her from being able to try to take the arancar in without causing damage to the people surrounding them. She felt she was being a bad quincy, but this situation was terrible for her.

"You should focus on your own happiness going forward once you've figured out what you're going to do. Making others happy to your detriment is obviously something that you're regretting.

“To think that making others happy could deal so much damage to me sounds ridiculous.” Sabriel replied, the slightest hint of dry humour returning to her tone of voice, making fun of herself. “I have spent so long fulfilling the wishes of others that I am not sure if I even know what I want anymore. Every day I come out to this realm, explore and end up doing what I can to bring a little into the lives of those I meet. Yet, what do I get in return for that? Is it selfish of me to ask? I always thought that attempting to help others was a…human trait, one that I have done for centuries.”

She had no idea if she was making any sense at that point but honestly, they were questions that had been flooding her mind ever since the invasion. Sabriel had always had that impulse, as ruled by her aspect as she was. The dark haired woman had always considered herself lucky to have one that was not like Veralia’s, whose envy more often than not ended up in violence. Yet, was she truly lucky to have such a passive aspect? One that placed her in the hands of those who wished to exploit her?

There was only one desire that she had for herself at that point and after a moment’s thought, she would add. “I do not know if this will benefit your organisation in any way but the man who dragged me into the invasion was named Akira. An Ex Shinigami with quite the axe to bear. It was wrong of me to encourage him but I suspect that he had a hand in the invasion.”

"Helping others until it hurts you is absolutely a human trait. Not every trait that humans have is positive."

She spoke as she watched the arancar. Stella was absolutely feeling bad that she wasn't going to be able to continue much contact with Sabriel anymore. What Sabriel had done was something that she couldn't just forgive. Stella was super conflicted about the entire situation, but she hoped to be able to talk to Veralia soon. She was hoping that perhaps Veralia could be more help to the arancar about her aspect than Stella can.

"I know. He's been taken into custody already. He will face justice."
