What the inflation!?

These apples used to cost 65 cents a pound, and the deal made it worth buying in bulk. Now they're 80. Orion's no Einstein, but he can clearly understand that the economy isn't happy with what's happening globally. He's definitely not happy. Prices are going up, work's growing increasingly stressful, and he hasn't seen his therapist in a while. Life's become a chore.

It's all calculations lately. Every little thing's something to decipher and find worth out of. Even though the apples cost more, he'll still buy them. They're part of his daily routine, something he can't afford to let degrade. Even if work's hard, he still finishes it on time. Without his therapist, he still has to keep doing his exercises. In the end, it is what it is, but the shadows under his eyes agree that what it is isn't going to last.

His feet dragged him out the store though, bags in hand. Hunched a bit, he walked the bright streets towards his apartment, a tiny little hole in a wall.

Recent events had made it difficult somewhat to visit her respective peers. Work was only going to grow busier in the coming days, too. As a coordinator of the Wahrender - it'd take some time to get used to that name - the best she could do was guide her younger peers along and be a beacon of support to the recruits coming in.

She was going to be meeting quite a few soul reapers, from the looks of it, but that was fine. History aside, they'd proven to be a moderately alright group of people in her eyes so far. New faces were nice, certainly, but they could hardly compare to familiar ones.

Judging by her hazel eyes, as she exits the market with a bag of groceries in hand of her own, there seems to be a familiar face making his way back home. Traversing the bright streets with a pep in her step, she'd call out to him with a wave of the hand.

"Long time no see, Ori! How ya been, sweetheart?"
