Playing with Fire [Shura/Koga/Ranma]

Holy fuck, it was far away…

But Shura’s Reiatsu was dragging him in the right direction. Still, the efforts he took to arrive here to begin with, what, with Ranma usually being non-confrontational and shit… wait, was that true? Uh, who knew?

Still… to train this far away from the Rukongai was harrowing. Anything could happen out here in the boonies – what if some prick decided to kill them where they stood? What if they just ended up killing everyone? WHAT IF KILLERS JUST STARTED KILLING?! EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT, SHURA???

“I… aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam… here…”

Ranma exerted his own Spiritual Pressure, and Shura had to notice that it was a step heavier than last time they met. He’d made progress since their fight long ago, that was a fact… as a matter of such, his Spiritual Pressure was now similar to Koga’s.

“… Oh shit, your axe-“ Ranma quickly drew his own Zanpakutō, figuring that he knew how Shura operated, “Slow ‘em Down, Hōkamaru…” He wasn’t going to let Shura jump him, not this time. With his own invocation, his Zanpakutō morphed into a lavender, glowing khopesh that appeared to mess with the spatial fabric around it.

You ain’t getting the upper hand this time, I’ve learned a few tricks since then…

"Not one for subtlety, are ya, Shura?"

Koga scoffed playfully as he sensed that spiritual pressure in the distance. It was a familiar energy he'd long since grown accustomed to. Hell, it was probably one of the ways she announced challenges in the Eleventh back in the day. Of course, there was another one that started settling in, too. His brother from another mother. His partner in crime - Ranma.

They'd forged a pretty legendary bond during their time in the defunct Gotei United, but he hadn't recalled ever getting the opportunity to fight or spar with him. Heh, he supposed he'd get to do that today, a fact that brought him no small amount of excitement. Even better, he'd picked up a few tricks himself. Sensouya and he were finally seeing eye to eye, and he knew what War meant, knew that it was unwise to treat it as if it were a mere game without any thought.

"Grind, Sensōya."

Resheathing his blade, he'd bite down on the base of his scabbard, tearing it free as howling waves of reiryoku roared to life within his hands. Normally, he would've had the default hammer on hand and ran in with that. But now that he had a few new tools? Hell nah. He was going to use the new toys to test his experience, and possibly pick up some ideas for new ones after the battle was over.

Inhaling softly, he'd fashion the reiryoku-infused zanpakuto into the shape of a rifle. Unannounced, he'd level the rifle in the center of where Shura and Ranma stood, firing off a wide-ranging beam of reiryoku. In terms of destructive potential, it certainly held enough punch to rival a cero.

"Let's get this party started, motherfuckers!"

… Huh, was that Koga-

“FUCK!”

He just noticed the spirit cannon heading his way, blasting the area where he and Shura stood moments before as if powered by a Hollow’s Cero. Ranma leapt up in the air, but the after-blast still threw him out of balance, his arms sprawling around from the not-a-hammer move that Koga just pulled the fuck off.

Shura had already gone on the counter-attack against Koga, and as Ranma recovered and floated in the air, he wondered- where the fuck were they?! Oh, over there. Should I go on the offense…?
