Even as long as mere months ago, Sabriel might just have run a mile as Arianda spoke those three words. It would have set off alarm bells in her mind and she would have felt compelled to end the encounter and shut up shop mentally. Yet now, she simply did not feel the same way and even though there was a part of her that was still screaming at her to do so, Sabriel began to realise that it was not her doing it but her aspect. It demanded that she keep her bonds tight but not to the point of selfishness, which love always was. She had to remain as free as a bird in order to function but as she focused on her desires for once…the Arrancar realised that being in love did not mean that she had to be tied down. Love was what people made of it, right?
She could feel the sincerity from her fellow Arrancar and knew that Arianda was not simply saying things to help her recover from her torment. Sabriel knew that truth when she heard it and her smile widened in return as the words registered with her. The Arrancar did not have to go anywhere in order to have her desire achieved, as the woman who could fulfil it was right in front of her. All she had to do was reach out and accept the truth for herself.
“I love you too.” Sabriel finally said with a chuckle, tears starting to fall again but not of misery but of happiness, feeling such joy inside herself as they did. She felt a concoction of emotions inside herself, tumbling and stumbling over one another as the Arrancar desperately tried to figure it all out. The melancholy that had taken hold was beaten down, overcome and buried deep by the overwhelming sense of wonder that the dark haired woman was feeling. There was a feeling in her chest that she had never felt before, in all her long years. It tingled in a pleasant way.
Leaning forwards, she would return Arianda’s kiss, a loving smooch that might just take the breath away of her beloved if she was not careful. Not because it was overly powerful but because it was fuelled by sheer tenderness and love, a combination of emotions that the Arrancar had never felt before.

ARIANDA VAEL
That time of silence in which Sabriel wasn’t speaking was honestly terrible. What would her response be? Would she react well or adversely? Would it be worse than Ari imagined? Oh bloody hell should she even have said those words at all? Yes. Yes she should have. She knows very well how she felt, she’s known how she felt since the start of her conversion. She loves Sabriel, calling her my love was no fake. She loved Sabriel.
After that long agonizing silence, Sabriel finally said three magical words that lit up the Arrancar’s face. Those words were honest truth, said not because Sabriel was sad, but said because they were just that; the truth. She loved her. Their lips met in a kiss, a kiss in which Arianda was passionate and loving. Frankly speaking, a few tears did also fall from Arianda’s eyes; tears of joy to match Sabriel’s. Arianda held Sabriel to her frame as she kissed her with such passion, it was hard to stop after she had begun.
Through that kiss, a kiss in which Arianda got so involved she switched their positions so Sabriel was now under Ari, Arianda expressed much of what she couldn’t say. She expressed her love, adoration, caring, and how glad she was that Sabriel was safe. Eventually, Arianda broke the kiss with exaggerated slowness. It was… perhaps a bit odd for one of their kisses to not be charged with an immense amount of lust or desire; but Arianda could get used to it~
“My love~ You’re safe with me, love. I’m here for you~”
The Arrancar purred in pure joy, her cheeks glowing with a tiny blush. She gave Sabriel another loving kiss on the lips before she gently slid down to cuddle with the woman. Laying down on the couch as they were, Arianda had her arms wrapped around Sabriel’s waist, her head carefully pressed to the woman’s soft bosom. She could stay here for as long as she wished, as long as Sabriel needed; she would be there.

As Arianda uttered those words and laid against her, Sabriel could not honestly remember having ever felt so happy and content. To be with someone who actually thought of her as a partner rather than simply a walking sex machine. It filled her with such intense joy that she briefly chided herself for being so adverse to it in the past. How could feeling like this possibly be wrong? How could having such a delightful person to count on as Arianda be a negative? Oh, how she hated her aspect just then and the dark haired woman made a promise to herself just then to do her utmost to never become a slave to it again.
“I know and whatever happens, I will never feel alone again. With you by my side, there is no need for me to fear and regardless of what comes from my terrible mistake, there will always be a place for me here to return to.” Sabriel replied sincerely, every word spoken in a sweet and tender tone. “I do not know what will come of all of this and I hate the fact that I may draw you into it but I know this much. The world does not seem as dark as it did when I walked through your door.”
Thinking a little deeper, a smile would cross her face. “You were worried about confessing, were you not? Concerned that maybe I would react strongly and head for the hills at the first mention of love?” She knew Arianda well enough to ask such questions, knowing that the white haired woman would be perfectly honest with her.

ARIANDA VAEL
What Sabriel had said, what she was saying, was truly warming the Arrancar’s heart. Ari purred gently, nuzzling carefully into Sab’s bosom; her ear somewhat close to where the woman’s heart would be. She adjusted her head some so she could gaze up at Sabriel, adoration plain in her sapphire blue eyes.
“If I must get involved, then so be it~ I would much rather keep you safe, and try to fix that mistake together rather than to let you shoulder it alone. I am with you, my love, my darling Sabriel. Neither of us will feel lonely every again, love~ You are my light in the dark, after all~”
Arianda smiled warmly, lovingly, as she squeezed Sab tightly, but not too tightly. This was an embrace of affection, after all. To squeeze the woman too tight would be to ruin the moment. However, as it stood, Arianda found herself enjoying the moment greatly. Sabriel was in her arms, they had confessed their love for each other, and Arianda couldn’t help but feel giddy. Even if they still had problems to take care of, they would be all right… Together.
Arianda purred warmly as she nuzzled into Sab once again, holding the woman lovingly. Albeit, her movements ceased and Ari’s face burned a scarlet red upon Sabriel’s final question and statement. Arianda briefly refused to lift her face from Sabriel’s bosom, due to her burning face. However… it was pointless to hide it. If Sabriel’s outfit was as thin as the Arrancar figured it was, she could feel the increase in heat. This lead to her eventually looking up at Sab, even if she seemed a bit shy about it.
“Y-Yeah… I was, ever since those two weeks we stayed together; ever since my conversion. I’ve been burning to say it, but I was scared of your response. When I heard you call me your love… I couldn’t help myself. Because I love you oh so much, more than I could ever describe with words~ Which is why I am overjoyed that you responded in kind.” Arianda smiled warmly up at Sab, caressing the woman’s back some in their embrace. “But I’m not worried now. I am only over the moon with happiness, because you gave me your honest reply; your honest love.”

It felt so wonderfully strange to feel such peace, having only minutes ago be in the throes of absolute misery. Never has Sabriel felt such contentment and all from such a simple confession. It sounded almost daft that such an act could bring such a change but there it was. The solution to her torment had been there for her all along. She just had to finally find the courage to reach out and discover it. The pain she felt did not seem so overbearing now that it was shared and the Arrancar had never felt so grateful to be in the arms of anyone as she did just then.
She was in love.
Just thinking those words seemed to cause a smile to cross her face, words that seemed to go against everything she stood for. For a woman of lust and hormonal drives, a creature who spent nights sleeping with everyone under the sun, one who could never be committed to just a single person. Yet, now she realised that there was more to love than just what the humans believed. It did not have to be as black and white as what they decreed. Why should she and Arianda live according to the creed of humans anyway? They could find their own way.
“I confess that the strength of my own feelings have taken me by surprise as well but I cannot deny them. We have known each other for what has only been a short period in our long lives and yet I feel closer to you than anyone I have ever met already. I understand why you were hesitant and even the me of a little while ago might have been spooked but the Sabriel of today? No. I am happiest when I am in your arms and that is what I have learned during my time together.” The Arrancar replied, whatever was left of her miserable exterior to fade away entirely.
As Arianda looked up at her with those beautiful blue eyes, Sabriel would lean down and kiss her fellow Arrancar with all the tenderness in her body and soul. Yet, despite the amount of times they had locked lips, there seemed to be an extra touch of magic to this one, as though the dark haired woman truly was accepting her feelings, combining her soul with Arianda’s just for a moment.
She was starting to feel strangely fuzzy inside, a warmness that seemed to envelop her whole body, resonating from her chest. What it was in the moment was unknown to her but it was most pleasant.

ARIANDA VAEL
Arianda purred as Sabriel still lay in the Arrancar’s embrace, Ari’s arms warmly wrapped around the woman’s waist. Just like Sabriel, a greater sense of peace and belonging was filling the white-haired woman. Arianda had felt this before, this feeling of love and affection, but not quite so strongly; not quite so unconditionally. Arianda had felt love before, on multiple occasions… But this? This felt right. Their love felt as if it was meant to be, even if that wasn’t the case Arianda would gladly think so.
Arianda knew Sab disliked the “shackles” of matrimony, but to know that they loved each other… Perhaps that was enough. Even if the two of them may approach relationships with a bit more open-ness than others, their love burned clearly for all to see. Oh of course, some part of Arianda would love to have that show of belonging and love upon Sabriel’s ring finger, along with one of her own. However, the Arrancar still would respect Sabriel’s desires. To hear that the woman loved Arianda, with affection stronger than Ari has felt from another in a very long time, was more than enough.
“I’m glad to hear that the you of today wouldn’t shy away from such words; such affection. To be within your arms, to hold you within mine… Just to hear the sound of your voice. It fills me with the purest joy… Joy I’m not certain I deserve; but you make me feel like I deserve it.” The demon smiled warmly, snuggling deeper into Sabriel. “I look forward to even more time together, Sabriel. So we may turn our short time together into a long and happy life of love~”
Arianda purred, her words likely a wee bit cheesy… But she wasn’t given time to reflect on their cheesiness. Soon, her lips were captured by Sabriel in a kiss… a kiss so tender that it could almost melt the white-haired Arrancar. That kiss was beyond anything they had shared before, a kiss shared in pure love and affection; a true acceptance of their feelings. For those brief moments, Arianda truly felt one with Sabriel. She felt more one with the woman than they had ever felt before, even in moments of darling intimacy. This was something else, a connection deeper than any Ari had felt before it.
A kiss that could have never ended, but must. However, even as their lips parted, Arianda knew she would get many more of these kisses. These gentle connections of their lips that connected far more than just their bodies, but their souls; and perhaps hearts one day. Arianda purred, gently pecking Sabriel’s lips before the woman could pull away completely. Afterwards, Arianda relaxed fully into Sabriel. The Arrancar carefully adjusted herself once again so her head was once more against Sabriel’s bosom, her right ear gently pressed against the woman’s chest. Of course, Ari had to be careful of her horns, but after she was certain they wouldn’t pose an issue, Arianda felt herself gently melting into her love’s embrace; ready to rest within that feeling of love and belonging…
Thump-Thump
Arianda’s eyes snapped open as the unmistakable sound of a heartbeat vibrated through her ear and skull. For a second, Arianda wasn’t sure about what she had heard. Sabriel… Sabriel didn’t have a heart. The woman still had her hollow hole to Ari’s knowledge. However, that didn’t stop Ari from curiously placing her hand on Sabriel’s chest; around her solar plexus. Nothing… To ease Sabriel’s likely confusion from the demon’s sudden change from relaxed to straddling the woman and inspecting her chest randomly, Arianda kissed the woman and then pondered what she heard and felt. However, Arianda didn’t move her hand, not wanting to miss the chance to feel that feeling again… If Sabriel was regaining her heart, even if it was a slow thing…
“Sabriel… I think I just heard your heartbeat, love.”

SABRIEL VENTRESS
Cheesiness was not something that Sabriel dwelled upon too much and she simply appreciated Arianda’s words for what they were, holding the beautiful woman in her arms. She could have stayed there for eternity, simply appreciating having someone in her life that truly wanted her, warts and all, as humans liked to say. The dark haired woman honestly started to feel that she could say anything and Arianda would understand, a feeling that she had never truly felt before towards another. Forever the deceiver, Sabriel had always had a rather forked tongue and yet with the Arrancar in her arms, she honestly felt that she did not have to speak in any way other than with pure honesty. It would have been frightening, if it did not give her such relief.
Yet the position they were in soon changed and Sabriel found herself where she had so often during their time together, on her back and at the mercy of Arianda. The purple eyes of the Arrancar would gaze up to meet Arianda, looking briefly confused as to just what was going on. Frankly, she was not truly in the mood for their usual play, even now and while she was willing to indulge the white haired woman, Sabriel herself was more than satisfied with just some quiet time between them.
Then the reason was explained to her and Sabriel cocked a brow, her confusion mounting as to what she had just heard. A heartbeat? Her? The idea sounded ridiculous at first and Sabriel originally planned on stating that to Arianda but instead she briefly waited and focused within, that warm fuzziness continuing to flood her body. It was awfully bizarre and the dark haired woman pondered if perhaps that was the explanation. Was she going through some kind of change? Had recent events changed her more than she could have imagined?
“Check my right ankle, Arianda, the source of my Hollow hole. Tell me what you see.” Sabriel suggested, not fully believing what she was hearing but also knowing that Arianda would never lie or joke with her in such a way.

ARIANDA VAEL
Arianda met Sabriel’s scepticism with complete honesty. Luckily, Arianda wasn’t in a lewd mood either and she wouldn’t force the woman into one. Instead, she was wholly and completely confused by the sound she heard from Sabriel’s chest. Arrancar typically didn’t have hearts unless they went through something to regain them. To hear a heartbeat from Sabriel… it was unprecedented. But, perhaps… Perhaps it was a sign of that very event, Sabriel regaining her heart.
Confusion seemed to be plain on both of their faces, the Arrancar had no true certainty of what Ari said. Frankly speaking, Ari was more willing to believe it because she heard the woman’s heart with her ear; plain as day. That wasn’t something she could just make up, and she would never make such a crass joke with Sabriel. Arrancar regaining their heart was serious business.
“Good idea… That’ll probably tell us.”
Arianda carefully slipped off Sab’s lap, giving the woman a swift kiss. Arianda soon knelt on the floor next to the couch, positioning herself next to Sabriel’s leg. She scooted up the leg of the woman’s leotard, and also removed any footwear to fully expose Sabriel’s hollow hole. Clean through the woman’s ankle, an odd place perhaps but whatever. As Arianda looked at it, the hole appeared normal, unchanged.
At first.
Before Arianda’s eyes the hollow hole began to close, being taken over by Sabriel’s flesh and skin. Even Sabriel should be able to see it, perhaps even feel it, as the hole slowly started to close. Ari’s eyes widened as she saw this occur. That alone assured Ari she wasn’t crazy, this time. However, that closing of the hole crawled to a halt halfway complete. Arianda blinked a few times before she looked at Sabriel, gently poking the half of her hollow hole that was now Sabriel’s own flesh; sealed.
“Love… Your hollow hole just closed up halfway…”

It was a bizarre feeling for certain and Sabriel was unsure of what to make of what was going on at first and until she actually looked at her foot with her own eyes, she was still disbelieving. An Arrancar with a closed hole was not a common occurrence and the dark haired woman did not know anyone who had been through such a strange transition. Yet, the evidence was there and all she could was accept what she was seeing, hearing and feeling. As she dwelled on it, Sabriel had to admit that it explained some of the oddness that she had been experiencing.
“I have never seen anything like it.” She replied in an astonished tone, uncertain as to how to feel about this new experience. A part of her was concerned that there was something wrong going on and that her recent unhappiness was causing her to spiral out of control. Yet, the stronger and far more prudent part, mused that it was more likely to have come from her feelings of remorse and regret, not to mention her affection for her beloved Arianda. Surely that made more sense than her initial worries.
Eventually, a smile would return to her face once her musing was done. “Well, I am going to take it as another sign that my feelings for you are genuine and that my place is here by your side. I have no idea whether my hole closing will eventually lead to me regaining what I have lost but I know that my best chance of doing so is while I am in the arms of the one I love.”
With that said, she would sit up and draw her beautiful white haired lover into her arms again, making sure that Arianda’s head was once again leaning against her chest. “Tell me again that you hear my heart beat.” She requested gently, becoming more at ease with the idea as time passed.

ARIANDA VAEL
Arianda had never seen anything like it either. Frankly speaking, it was theoretically possible for an Arrancar to regain their heart. However, it didn’t happen often… Perhaps with all the upsets and emotional distress in Sabriel’s life recently, especially the love the two women shared, could be aiding the process. Whatever the case may be, Arianda gently caressed the now sealed up skin, leaving Sabriel with half of a hollow hole through her ankle. The Arrancar allowed a small grin to escape as she considered the prospect; what it meant for Sabriel to be regaining her heart.
Arianda smiled warmly when Sabriel spoke about how she was going to view these events. Additionally, stating that regaining what she had lost, and the inexplicable sealing of her hollow hole would be best done while with Arianda; in the arms of the woman who loves her true. Arianda purred softly, gently guiding herself along with the woman’s movements. Arianda purred, once more laying on top of Sabriel, her legs gently entwined with the other Arrancar’ as Arianda relaxed into Sabriel. Given where Sabriel had drawn her to, Arianda was quite glad to rest her head upon the woman’s comfortable bosom.
“I think that’s a wonderful thought, love. To know that our feelings could bring about such a thing… I love it~”
Arianda smiled warmly at Sabriel before she was fully drawn into the woman’s embrace. As requested, Arianda listened for Sabriel’s heart once again. While she didn’t feel the typical tell-tale signs of a beating heart, she heard something akin to an echo. It was faint, barely audible unlike the first one she had heard. However, now that Ari knew what to listen for, it was easy to hear. Arianda wrapped her arms around Sabriel, embracing the woman warmly, lovingly.
“I can hear it, Sabriel. It sounds like… echoes of your heart. More akin to the memory of a heart, but it’s there. And I love hearing it~”
There was an odd comfort for Arianda as she listened to the faint echoes of Sabriel’s heart. She couldn’t deny that it filled her with joy, joy to know that Sabriel’s heart could very well return; even after she had long since lost it. Like Arianda said, she would be with Sabriel every step of the way; and the Arrancar couldn’t wait to fully hear and feel Sabriel’s beating heart.
