Check In (Hono/Rei)

Hono was grateful that she and her family were rather unharmed given the recent attack, she knew a lot of people were facing much worse. That being said, Hono had made it her mission to check on every single one of her friends, wanting to make sure they were okay. After her family, she sought each of them out, wherever she might find them. Going down the list, she eventually hit Rei.

Thankfully Hono had managed to make some bread, nothing grand but with the limited space and time it was the best she could do, if she had it her way she’d make a whole cake just for her.


Eventually, she heard rumbling that she was staying in the barracks, or what was left. The Shinigami would enter, holding a basket of bread as she called out. “Rei? It’s Hono. You in here?” She asks, a bit worried, hoping to see her friend was okay.

Well, Hono could easily tell Rei was out of it; it was obvious. Regardless, as soon as that door cracked open, Hono held out the basket of bread. However, her eyes glared at her. “Bread, " she simply said.


“I wanted to make sure you’re okay. I was worried sick.”

She stuck her hand out, trying to hold the door open so Rei couldn’t simply shut it. “Wanna talk…?” It didn’t matter if Rei wanted to talk or not; she was going to talk.
