Re: Meeting The Mechanic (Diana/Elara)

"Yes, Elara. I am currently looking for someone willing to help me learn more about the Quincy arts. Years ago I hit the point where I cannot progress any further on my own." Diana replied that she was proactively seeking help instead of hoping that a potential tutor came across her instead. However, she had not met with much success in that endeavor. The only potential instructor she had met was Meninas McAllon and that was during her trip to Japan some time ago.
Then again, Diana had been working to earn back the money she had spent on the trip, so she had not been putting any effort into seeking someone who could help her advance her skills to the next level.
"Have you ever come across any Quincies offering instruction in the Quincy arts, Elara?" Diana asked Elara in a calm and straightforward manner. If the dark-haired young woman had come across someone who fit the bill the blonde would certainly be interested in learning who they were and where they lived so that she might one day seek them out and request their services. Whether or not she parted with some information was up to Elara, though.

ELARA SERAPH
“I suppose the best place for teaching would be one of those Quincy organisations that my teacher used to tell me about.” Elara replied with a shrug. “I don’t feel like being tied down to such a group so I don’t know much about them but they’re probably the best place. I’d have put you in contact with my teacher but he’s getting a little long in the tooth for it now and I think he’s done with it. Still, I imagine there must be some wandering Quincies around who could help. I could do with finding someone myself one day to help me.”
Chuckling, she’d then say. “To be honest, I’m not overly worried about that though. I’m quite happy just riding my bike and picking up work where I can. Yeah, it’d be nice to learn more Quincy tricks but there’s more to life than being one I think. People seem to be a little obsessed about having fancy powers and such these days. My old man still thinks it’s all a load of rubbish.”
Such was the old fashioned way in which he lived his life but Elara still cared for him deeply, along with the rest of the family.

"Is one of those organizations you are referring to the Vandenreich?" Diana asked Elara. Diana had already made contact with two of its members during her visit to Japan, Meninas McAllon and Stella... the blonde did not recall the latter giving her last name, but that minor detail was not of much importance. What did matter was that the blonde had met them and gotten some impression of what the organization did. Learning about the Vandenreich was something Diana had wanted to do ever since leaving home and starting her own life as a wandering Quincy.
"I am not sure if I want to join an organization because I value my independence far too much. Still, I appreciate the suggestion." Diana thanked Elara for the suggestion because even though the blonde did not have much interest in joining a group she valued the other person's input. Elara was the first Quincy she had met since meeting Stella in Karakura Central a while back and it was always nice to meet another Quincy. The dark-haired young woman was full of cheer and had a positive outlook on life, which made meeting her a pleasant surprise.

“Yeah, although I think they’ve changed their name lately.” Elara replied with a nod. “My teacher spoke of them often but honestly I didn’t think that much of it. I get why a lot of Quincy would want to join but I agree with you about wanting to remain independent. It’s like if I joined them, I’d end up being a soldier or something and that’s not the kind of life I want to live. It’s like I said earlier, I’ll protect someone from a Hollow if I come across a situation but I’m no warrior, just a girl with a bike.”
Her teacher was a lot more determined when it came to honouring Quincy and such things but Elara had never got into that. She’d only known of the fact that she was one fairly recently, after all and she wasn’t quite ready to commit her life to a cause just yet. For now, adventure and the hunt for work would keep her occupied. Elara had to admit that it was nice to meet a fellow Quincy who seemed to share her desire for a freer type of life. She hoped that others that she met would also share the same ideals.
