Florida Man! (Leo/Maaya)

Well, the news was usually bustling; that’s kind of how the news cycle went. Sometimes, it was full of excitement and crazy news, but things weren’t always so exciting. Leo was trying his best to find something to stream in a large city in Florida. The steamer would walk the street, taking photos and videos where he could, trying to find SOMETHING. Thankfully his podcast was prerecordered ahead of time, so he had episodes ready up to three weeks in advance.

No hollows, no ghosts, no nothing. So Leo decided to visit a haunted location those were always easy enough and got the views! Leo had a weird setup currently, he had a camera mounted on his backpack with a stand, it stood out, and it was expensive. Honestly, it brought him back to his TV days.

He walked through the streets, looking at his phone to make sure he was heading the right way. Enjoying the Florida heat, as looked around. Wasn't Florida suppose to be well known for it's crazy people?!

Well, this wasn’t exactly what Leo was expecting. His stream was at a low point, with only a few thousand viewers, unlike his usual viewership. I guess that goes to show that things are slow right now. Even with the Florida, it just wasn’t cutting it! However, it seems the views landed right on his lap. As a woman crashed into him, he fell straight to his lap. Thankfully, she didn’t break his cameras; those would have cost her a lot…

As Leo stood up, he looked… confused, pointing towards his camera he responded to her. “I have you on camera crashing into me…” He seemed a bit confused, though Florida folks were always rather cranky. The steamer would notice his chat was sending messages, though Leo always sucked at responding, but he glanced.

“Chat, calm down it was an accident.” He spoke to himself, hoping the viewers would lay off.

Did she not know what a phone was? That… was surprisingly, well I guess Leo couldn’t talk shit. Well actually he could, everyone has a smartphone nowadays. Regardless he decided to humor the girl, for the content! Leo would quickly notice the chat’s comments quickly trying to shut it down.

“Knock that off chat” He snapped before looking directly at Maaya across from him. “It’s my phone. Yes” He held it up and shook it just a little bit, Maaya would get a better view, it was an expensive phone, one specifically for filming.

For a second, Leo assumed she was surprised at just how small his phone was, not that she didn’t know what a phone was. “I’m pretty much always recording so I have to pay for the best camera I can.”

Leo did spend a lot more than he should on the phone, but it was kind of his job, so he wanted to make sure his tech was the best it could be.

“You okay?” They wanted to make sure she was okay, but it seems Chat was enjoying themselves…

Leo was silent as she read chat, I mean he hardly did so himself, streaming was never a strong point, he was still used to TV and his show, where he could simply edit out any stutters or pauses. He didn’t have that liberty going live.

“Yeah, they’re my viewers, though sighing Leo did feel bad about what they were saying I mean if that was his wife or daughter he’d be pissed! “I’m a TV personality, so my fans like to watch me visit haunted places on video” He briefly explained what he did. “I can’t control what they say, sorry about that” He sighed quickly looked at his phone, and gave an almost death stare to the chat, clearly unhappy with their behavior.

“It’s really just the Lifestream audience, my podcast comments are never this vulgar” He chuckled ever so slightly. “So are you from here? You don’t exactly look like the Florida type-” trying to figure out what this girl was all about.

That much was true, his live chat didn’t exactly enjoy Leo himself, more so what situations Leo put himself into. However, it seems that Maaya had him pinned down, exactly what he was about.

Regardless he shrugged at her comment, deciding it be better just to press on, walking past her and moving forward. It's probably better to simply not play into it. Regardless, his chat didn’t like that, calling him a coward! Well not nearly as nice words!

Regardless his sights were set on this abandoned house! It was right down the road, just in view!
