Blooming Minds [Kita, Sabre]
Mon Dec 09, 2024 9:17 pm
Kita Lirio
“Your resilience in the face of adversity is truly admirable, dear thing,” Her clawed fingertips would gently caress the pale features of her latest subject’s face, the male arrancar’s features frozen in a scream as all ability to scream had left them half an hour ago, the lower half of their body flayed into gruesome segments, as if a flower had been carefully snipped out of the paper canvas that was his flesh, the blush of blood beneath him a trickle of crimson veins painting the humid forest’s floor.
“It is quite unfortunate,” Another squelch of her Zanpakuto creating yet another subdivision from his thigh down to his calf could be heard, only a gurgle in response, “That you are lesser than pig droppings.”
This gruesome scene was plenty accessible for any who felt her spiritual pressure to approach; the only thing nearby was a small settlement that would either be none more aware, or too frightened to come investigate.
Nonetheless, he was making for a splendid piece of inspiration…

Sabre wasn't particularly delighted when she arrived.
Even before she had come to be close to Kenichi, she had always abhorred needless displays. Drawing unwanted attention had always been the surest way to earn Sabre's claws in the past. And this display... was not being enacted just in hueco mundo. No.... it seemed that her associate had decided to begin partaking in such behaviors in the middle of earth. She could feel the fear resonating from the humans nearby, and her jaw was set into a clenched grit as she slowly approached Kita.
"How disappointing that breaking your mask properly did not cure you of these savage behaviors." Sabre murmured as she stopped a short distance away. At least a few meters, but given her size, Sabre still loomed as if she were a breath away from the woman. Those eyes narrowed as she glared down at the redheaded woman. Her hand resting on the handle of her Zanpaku'to as she stared the woman down.
"Kita. Cease what you're doing and step away from them." It was not a suggestion.

That expression of soft satisfaction dropped as she heard a familiar voice, gaze rising to meet the snowy arrancar’s own. Her lip curled, just a bit, as she’d cant her head to the side. Nothing of what she was doing here was savage, not in her own eyes.
“Savage?” Her biting tone would reply, eerily calm as she would look briefly to the agonized creature at her feet, before clicking her teeth and taking three steps away from the body - not out of obedience, but rather disdain, offense even.
“I am no savage here. Let alone your kit to command, insisting I am operating on a failure of judgement.”

"I don't enjoy unwanted attention." Sabre noted as she slowly began walking closer to Kita. Her eyes slowly narrowed as she surveyed the other arrancar. That slow prowl towards the woman pronounced by her size. "Even when I was a hollow. I spent my time hunting for areas that had enough good food, but those places always had hollows that caused such a ruckus. So I would kill and eat them. Eventually, I stopped eating humans altogether, and began exclusively killing and eating other hollows. I even enlisted the aide of some humans in this." She explained slowly. After all, Kita didn't know much of anything about her.
That was something that was to be corrected.
Stopping a mere few paces from the woman, she stared down at Kita and canted her head to the side. "You're reminding me quite a lot of them." She noted, before promptly walking past Kita to crouch beside the injured man. Reaching out and letting her reiryoku and a sliver of glowing water spill out and wrap around his agonized frame. Supplying him with a bit of energy so that he could recover, as well as soothing the agony. It was rudimentary, she was more used to just using her water to mend herself, but even so, she had been a bit less...selfish as of late, and had begun working on healing others. It was crude, but it was better than nothing.
"And what, might be the reason you've decided to maim this arrancar? Did the two of you fight over something?"

Her gaze sharpened with what she perceived as the continued insistence of her ignorance and sloppiness. This one always read as a strange member of their kind, but she was only now realizing her arrogance, as if she were the one to be deciding what was and was not a ‘disturbance’. Did she think the entirety of the realms were her playground? If not for her cooled attitude the last several months, she would have lunged at her; she was far more inclined to words than claws and teeth.
“Quite the bold move, to be gifting health unto such an undeserving party,” Her teeth bared, lips curled in cooled frustrated, “Parading about as if you know it all, when you are mending the kind you supposedly loathe so much. You have not even a grasp of the situation before casting judgement…”
She almost wanted to laugh with how bitterly ironic it all was, “This one was inches away from raping and pillaging that very dwelling. His first victim was to be a young woman. I am certain that would be quite more in your awfully grandstanding definition of, ‘unwanted attention’. Then again, I suppose you have painted yourself to be steward of the three realms, lord over all who decide to cast 'unwanted attention' about. Quite the stress to load, but it is your decision at the end of the world, O'wise one.”
Shockingly, her tone was dripping with sarcasm despite how tepid her delivery was.

Sabre continued to tend to the creature beneath her before glancing over her shoulder at her fellow feline. She didn't pay much mind to the other woman as the bleeding ceased. There really wasn't much more that she herself was to do with them. She wasn't a healer, not yet at least. All the same, at some point, Kita did wind up leaving a gap in her speech so that Sabre could turn in her direction. Her eyes narrowing slightly before she plucked the still de-limbed arrancar from the ground and held them at her side as she regarded the other arrancar.
"And what do you plan on doing about it?" She asked with a slow narrowing of her eyes towards Kita. She didn't waste time with a retort to her little points. Rather, she kept that cold stare leveled at Kita. Waiting patiently to see what all that blustering was going to amount to.

“Oho, and I thought I was the unrepentant beast standing here. Do you imply I wish to continue this altercation with something that may fall under your so called, ‘unwanted attention’?”
A brow risen, eyes narrowed as she placed hands on her hips, glaring daggers at the arrancar she lifted, “Tch, I would not offer the labor of saving that one. Even hours into his beautiful torment he cursed foul things unto me. Some souls simply cannot be salvaged. You may as well put him out of his misery if you so wish to give such a foul thing kindness. Clearly, you are the better knowing one here."
