Out and About (Ikari/Ryou)

The very fox who, accidentally, caused so much troubles for Ryo at the checkpoint by being a fox... a fox without papers apparently. She didn't need fucking papers as a fox! Albeit... perhaps it would've been better to get through the checkpoint in her human form. By the time Ikari had woken up from a nap, Ryo and her were already at the checkpoint and, to be honest, the kitsune panicked a bit. Eventually, they were let through. Ikari insisted on being in Ryo's arms for a bit longer, to try and convey that she was indeed Ryo's fox; very legal! Additionally, the comfort would help her relax from the panic she had felt from waking up in that situation.

Eventually, with them at a cafe, Ikari had let herself take residence up in Ryo's lap. There she had laid for a good chunk of time, snoozing time away. However, when Ikari woke up to find Ryo still staring at the same cup of coffee she had ordered when they first got her, the woman knew something was wrong. Ikari stretched in Ryo's lap, a purr escaping the little fox before her tails flick in the direction of Ryo's coffee. A small kitsunebi, a small bit of foxfire, orbited around the coffee and brought it back to a drinkable temperature; something that wouldn't burn Ryo's tongue, but was hot enough to warm the body. Without further ado, Ikari slipped out of Ryo's lap, paced to an area where she could emerge as a human without suspicion, and then she returned to Ryo and pulled a chair up next to the woman.

It was obvious something was bothering Ryo, something she was reluctant to talk about. She had told Ikari she wanted to visit her home, but aside from that... Ikari knew very little about the situation. She tilted her head and stared at Ryo calmly before she placed her hand on Ryo's own; her warm skin likely comforting in the potentially colder weather.

"What's up Ryo? You haven't touched your coffee the whole time we've been here. Anything you want to talk about?"

That Ryo didn’t remove her hand from under Ikari’s hand was at least something. It meant that Ryo was either comfortable enough, or too distracted to remove the woman’s hand. Whichever it may be, Ikari didn’t try to press anything to make Ryo further uncomfortable. However, the woman’s obvious discomfort was obvious to see. Ikari peered at Ryo, occasionally using her fox-fire to keep Ryo’s coffee from getting stone cold. Then came what was weighing upon Ryo’s mind, well… at least part of it. Ikari was sure there was more than just that bothering Ryo, but the pink-haired woman let it slide for now.

“Well… How do you want to explain me, then? Bringing a girl home is one thing, bringing a Kitsune woman is certainly another…” Ikari thought briefly, her hand gently squeezing upon Ryo’s hand. “Well, how about this? Is there anything you want me to avoid saying? I can also briefly hide my tails if you are worried about that, but my balance will be terrible until I get used to it. Not much I can do about my ears, however.”

Ikari silently considered options from there, but her desire for flexibility was quite obvious. She wanted to make it so Ryo had the most pleasant experience upon returning home. Of course, while that may be impossible given the situation, and how she may explain things, Ikari wasn’t sure.

“As far as explaining how we met… would you prefer honesty or not? We could tell a part of the truth, that I helped you out of a tight spot and we’ve been travelling together since~”

Ikari couldn't help but feel sheepish as Ryo sarcastically explained how they had met, as if to her mom and dad. It did get a small blush out of Ikari, because of how the situation sounded, however the Kitsune didn't say much for a short amount of time. However, she did give Ryo's hand a gentle squeeze in an attempt to reassure her.

"Well... I suppose it isn't he most unbelievable thing in this day and age~"

Ikari smiled warmly before she fell silent, allowing that silence to grow between them as Ikari's thumb gently moved back and forth on the back of Ryo's hand; reassurance and comfort. That silence stretched onwards as Ikari used her kitsunebi to once more maintain the temperature of Ryo's coffee. She hadn't said she wasn't going to drink it, after all, so Ikari figured it wouldn't hurt to keep it toasty. Eventually, Ryo broke that silence, muttering so likely only Ikari could hear. What she said... made Ikari smile warmly, a gentle purr thrumming deep within her throat; but the sound didn't escape her throat. Simply, it only presented itself briefly when she began to speak.

"No, I don't think the animal shelter would~" Ikari squeezed Ryo's hand again, a gentle chuckle upon her voice. "I'm with you, Ryo. You won't be going in on this alone."

Perhaps it may have came off as a bit much, but Ikari didn't mind it. As long as Ryo didn't tell Ikari to stop touching her, to stop holding hands, she would continue unhindered. She wasn't being overbearing or anything, but Ikari often has to be told when to stop. Regardless, come Ryo's question, the Kitsune nodded gently, carefully rising from her seat. Ikari once more took Ryo's hand after she had rose, trying to offer some form of comfort to the woman. If Ryo wasn't going to refuse, Ikari would continue to hold her hand all the way to Ryo's house; looking like quite the odd pair.

"Yes, let's~"

Ikari smiled warmly at Ryo, glad to be with the woman. Truthfully, she didn't really care about that cup of coffee; she just wanted to keep it warm for Ryo. If she wasn't going to drink it, then the Kitsune wasn't worried. Whenever Ryo led the way, Ikari would follow without complaint. Albeit, perhaps a portion of the Kitsune was a little nervous, meeting Ryo's parents and all.

Clingy definitely wasn’t the right word to describe Ikari, affectionate, however, was. Regardless, she was honestly doing her best not to be too terribly clingy. Karakura was sizable, after all, and the pink fox refused to get lost. She held Ryo’s hand tight, but not painfully. She followed the woman through the many streets, following her through twists and turns. Truthfully speaking, it was an extreme level of stimulation, not to the point where Ikari was overwhelmed or anything; but it’s certainly a lot.

After a period of time in which Ryo led Ikari through the city, and took them through the city in a taxi, the two women ended up in the outskirts of the city; a bit more calm. Frankly speaking, this was much more to the kitsune’s liking. The noises pressed less oppressively against her ears, and it smelled a lot less like cars and concrete.

The Kitsune woman noticed Ryo’s tenseness like she was walking on tenterhooks. Ikari blinked at the woman, unsure why she was acting like so. Wouldn’t most people be glad to come home to their parents…? Ikari had no idea, she was born from the very concept of Kitsune after her predecessor and eternal partner, Inari, had perished. However, the woman had explained her apprehension from before; explaining Ikari amongst other things. Ikari gently squeezed Ryo’s hand and carefully nudged the woman.

“It’s okay, Ryo. I’m with ya~”
