Masquerade Empty Masquerade

Masquerade Kaiedopostingimage
The bone white sands of Hueco Mundo’s desert nearly shined under the crescent moon high in the sky. Winds ripped about the desert, whipping up sand which served as the only motion in the seemingly endless desert. On this day, nothing moved atop the sands save for a lone figure. Based on stature and stride it’s a man, based on clothing it was or had been a Shinigami; the remains of the outfit had been altered to fit the climate the man now found himself in, the coat having been made more into a cloak of some kinds to keep the sand at bay. He had acquired an Espada uniform from one of Aizen’s agents years back who he had dispatched, its clothing scavenged for material.

This was Kaiedo Moui, and he was no shinigami; he was a Vizard who had been scorned by Soul Society. Now, he wandered the white desert of Hueco Mundo, a unwelcomed guest that was ignored by those who were smart, wise, or irrelevant to his presence. In turn, he passed the inhabitants of this place and merely observed as life continued on after the chaos that had been the arrival of Aizen Sousuke, and the abrupt exit of the same man. At his side was the only object that dared to rebel against the silence of this place; Gekimetsu rattled in its sheath, ever hungry for blood, action, and destruction; he didn’t seem to notice the blade’s protest to its forced silence.

His face was obscured by strips of clothing, a precaution to keep sand from becoming even more annoying than it already was. The only thing truly visible was his eyes, barely clear beneath the rags, aimed outwards as he scanned the area he wandered. The stranger thing about the individual, all of the above withstanding, was the lack of reiatsu pouring off the being. He released about as much energy as a weak Hollow, though to those who had felt a Vizard’s energy may have been able to distinguish the difference, and know what exactly he was.

It didn’t matter; Gekimetsu suddenly dropped silent as the winds died. Kaiedo stopped, standing at his full height as he turned, casting his grey eyed gaze out over the sands as he sought what had silenced his noisy blade. His hands found the pockets of his pants as he stood there, lax as watched.[/i]

Hakai Chikara

"I don't care where I get hurt, as long as my injuries are visible."

[~E N T E R P O S T~]

Sand. Bloody sand everywhere. In his face, in his shoes, he couldn't escape it. Who was 'he'? This man was Hakai Chikara and he was pissed off, not by anything big, just sand. The winds blew a gale across the vivid landscape, shredding up the grains of sand clump by clump. Covering the mans face was what seemed to be the bottom of a shinigami shihakusho, using the cloth like material as a cover while in the wild sands. Blood leaked off his hands, dropping at hitting the sand drop by drop. Around his chest and body, he was wearing no top, his hard muscular structure revealing to anyone watching. Each step he took, more blood leaking off his hands, leaving imprints of blood everywhere. The Monsuta leader was coming back from a mission he had assigned himself to, to hunt down and kill some arrancar that were causing nuisance.

His hands were clearly covered in the blood of dead arrancar, he didn't even look tired in the slightest. The truth was, these guys were simple. Absolutely nothing compared to him. He was wondering, watching and scouting everything in the desert, if anything was to pass by him it would be unlikely Hakai wouldn't know they were there. His senses were keen, and he planned to keep on his guard, no matter the situation. The vizard looked strange compared to most other vizard, Hakai had no zanpakuto, at least an obvious zanpakuto. Rather, the thing that really stuck out on him was the metal shards impaled in his body; his zanpakuto. He had fused with his own zanpakuto to gain the abilities that were necessary to defeat his opponents, mainly being Zin.

"Fucking sand. Is there anything worse?"

The sound of crunching sand stopped, the whipping of grains fell silent. From Hakai, a massive serve of reiatsu could be seen radiating for a few seconds, cutting out all the other wind in the area; stopping the sand from moving now. His head wasn't clear, he was to hyped up and annoyed to keep a clear mind. However, something caught his eye. In the corner of his eye The Destroyer had spotted something curious, nothing like you would normally see in the Heuco Mundo desert. A shinigami was standing there? No, it wasn't a shinigami. Rather, he knew that type of reiatsu. No other species gave of that feel. He was a vizard similar to himself. Without turning his body, Hakai placed his hands in the pockets of his baggy trousers and still kept the man in the corner of his eye.

"Who are you... ?"

Kaiedo had watched in silence as the figure had approached, and he could hear the complaints of sand long before the figure had bothered to take notice of either the winds dying down let alone his own presence. He took advantage of the time to get a feel for the Reiatsu that was more or less leaking off the man; he was no shinigami as he appeared to be. Instead, he was a vizard much like himself. How curious then that the two of them would both show up in the same place in the seemingly infinite expanse of Hueco Mundo. Still though, he made no move to attract the man’s attention; in due time he was noticed, and the man posed a simple question without seeming to give him the time of day.

"Who are you... ?"

He let the question hang in the air before fading into the silence of Hueco Mundo as he mulled over whether he should answer or simply turn to leave. For now, he had no reason to treat the man as a threat, nor did he have reason to treat him as an ally of any kind simply because they shared something. And yet, it was too strange that he would run into another Vizard here, after years of solitude. He had only seen Arrancar and Hollows here, with the obvious exception of Shinigami during Aizen’s invasions. There was possibility here; the man seemed to have discarded the majority of his Shinigami attire. Kaiedo made a decision.

He reached up and pulled the made shit cover from his face, revealing his cold eyes and features as he looked at Hakai for a few moments.

”Kaiedo Moui.” The response was simple. He could have given more away, but he decided against it. He would exercise caution here; he knew nothing of this individual for now.
”And you are?”

More words than he had used in years. Most things that attempted to make contact with him either were ignored or died. However, this was someone who had come from outside Hueco Mundo; he, if nothing else, had information that Kaiedo didn’t have. It was a chance to gather some more intelligence on the movements of Soul Society and the other various organizations that had crept up since Aizen’s defeat.

His eyes would not move. They were fixed on the man that stood before him. The sands that were going wild a few seconds ago started to build up again; slowly. Who was this man? What did he want? Why was he here? All these questions were rumbling around inside of Hakai's head. The questions that remained unanswered hopefully one day would be. Just by looking at the man, his structure the way he presented himself... this man was tough. As he pulled off the hood, Hakai examined his eyes, his face and all the features there were to be seen. Squinting his eyes, the destroyer placed his hands into his pockets; taking the heat off his hands and then holding a large grin that could intimidate anyone. The metal that was dug into his skin really stuck out, especially in this type of light. As he continued to look into the mans eyes he noticed that this man... was a vizard he had never seen before. He wasn't from the corps because Hakai kept tabs on everyone who exited and entered. This man... was a lone wolf.

Slowly, his hands were still in his pockets, he walked up to the Kaiedo still holding that big grin. So that was is name... Kaiedo Moui. He had never heard of the name. A man this strong, wondering around alone which he had never heard of? Amazing. Walking right up to him, he looked at him as he circled around squinting. While he circled he still stood 10 meters away at all times. Yawning, he stopped so he was now right up close to him looking him undeniably in the eyes. There were inches between the, if that. This man would be a good figure for the Monsuta but first... to prove his power.

"Kaiedo Moui huh? Nice name."

A cold feeling could be felt around his arm, slowly his skin melted away around his right arm until it revealed his hand was now in the form of a metal rod as well as his arm until his shoulder. Bringing it next to his head he raised his so that it was next to his right ear.

"Names Hakai Chikara. Leader of the Monsuta!"

Swinging his hand over, the man known as the destroyer would attempt to ram the steel rod that was his hand into the mans cheek, hopefully knocking him right where he aimed. The power behind this wouldn't be that great, but it would be enough to knock a man away. It also means it would be harder than a normal punch because it was reinforced with steel. This man was dangerous, even in his sealed form. Kaiedo just had to play his cards rigth and pray to god he didn't push him to Bankai or resureccion.

The silence hung like a dead man between the two of them, broken only by the sounds of the wind, the moving sand, and the crunch of Hakai’s footfalls as he made his rounds and inspected Kaiedo. He, for his part, remained still but alert as he watched the man circle; signs of aggression hung on the man like a cloak, but it wasn’t the kind of aggression he had become used to in this place. This man loved to fight, like a certain Eleventh Division Captain that he remembered from his days in the Gotei. He was brashly confident with the grin, and his appearance would probably have unsettled those with weaker personalities. He just seemed so sure of himself in his steps. However, Kaiedo wasn’t thrown off by this; his face betrayed little of the thoughts that ran through his head as he made his own assessments of the man that had stumbled across him.

His confidence spoke of power, the pieces of metal didn’t seem to be just for show as the absence of a zanpaku-tou couldn’t have been just a coincidence. Of course he might be getting ahead of himself, but it was better to make a decision and act with an educated guess than to wait and get slapped in the face by inaction. The men continued their mutual inspection of one another for a few moments before Hakai closed the distance and stared him down, eye to eye. Kaiedo didn’t budge in the face of that determined stare; if windows were the doors to the soul, then all that lay behind those doors was a gleaming wall of grey stone, void of fear or hesitation. The man complimented him on his name instead of answering the question he had put forth only a short time ago.

His eyes didn’t miss the change in the man’s arm as the skin seemed to melt away to reveal a metal rod where it had been. The man raised it to his ear, almost in a type of salute as he introduced himself.

"Names Hakai Chikara. Leader of the Monsuta!"

Then the first attack came, a swift blow aimed for his face; it connected with air as Kaiedo took a single step backwards, removing himself from the range of the initial strike; while several questions now filled his mind, he pushed them away. Whatever the man’s reason for launching the attack, he was not one to sit around now and let it happen. Up until this point things had only survived a run in with Kaiedo by running away; anything that launched an attack was regarded as dead anyway. However, this wasn’t your average hollow or otherwise; this was a vizard that seemed intent on something else.

His hand had already wrapped around the hilt of his zanpaku-tou by the time he had finished the backward step, and he started forward now as he drew the blade. And as he did he vanished, shunpo carrying him around the Destroyer so that he was behind the man; he touched the ground there and continued forward aiming to bring the blade straight into the man’s back, as though to cleave him in two as he had with most of the hollows he had run into thus far. However, this was the diversion for Kaiedo’s true strike as he vanished once more, this time appearing directly above the man, left hand extended down and outwards.

”Soren Sokatsui.”

The kidou roared out with the utterance of its name, the blue flames doing as their name said, crashing down onto the location where the man had been just a few moments before. Unless the attitude had been a façade, such an attack would not end the man though, and he knew that well enough; the firing of the kidou pushed him up slightly and he continued his horizontal movement as he neared the ground, flipping to land. He currently faced an opponent of unknown strength, speed, and power. As such, he would need to be cautious and probe the man to find either a weakness so that he could end this quickly, or a reason behind the man’s actions so that he could be done with this. He had mentioned and organization that rang no bells to the man who had spent the last three hundred years or so in isolation within the endless desert of Hueco Mundo.

That was not to say that Kaiedo wasn’t interested in this apparent organization. At the very least his interest was piqued as he didn’t know what this organization was about or why it was relevant. These were things he would only discover by talking at length with this man, but for the time being he seemed more interested in either killing him, or forcing him to prove himself capable. Regardless of whether or not he was interested in what this man was selling, it was obvious by the way he carried himself and the power coming off of him that if he hesitated or held back too much he’d end up with an injury. Within the moment of landing back on the desert’s surface, his course of action had been made. The power that he had been concealing up until this moment suddenly flared.

”Terrorize, Gekimetsu.”

While Kaiedo spoke the words with the same calm and controlled demeanor, the roar of his Zanpaku-tou held within it all the manic joy of a psychopath as Gekimetsu was allowed to release, the blade warping in his hand. Instantly, the blade began to devour the energy around it as the ground immediately below the blade literally began to disappear, the spiritual particles broken down and absorbed for Gekimetsu’s use as an angry red aura surrounded the blade; a use that he would not wait long to bring into play. The dust had not settled yet from his first attack before he had locked onto the Destroyer. He swung his blade in the man’s direction.

With the swing a great crimson wave of energy rose up, rushing forward towards his opponent. As much as Hakai sought to test Kaiedo, he sought to test Hakai; what kind of man was this? What kind of power did he have? These things would influence this organization that he apparently ran. Beyond that though, this was the first opponent he had faced in many years that was not a Hollow or Arrancar, and in a way would give him an idea of what kind of opponents now filled the worlds he had closed himself off from for years. He brought the blade back down and to the ready for an inevitable counter attack. Normally, he would set some kind of defensive spell or technique up here, to avoid taking damage. However, he waited for now; he had no indication on what kind of attack to expect.

This was the worst kind of fight for him to walk into, and he knew it; this was a blind fight for him, as he knew absolutely nothing about the man other than what he had dissected with his gaze thus far. Granted, in that respect the pair of them were on equal footing as he doubted that this man knew anything of him; few outside of Hueco Mundo did, and he was little more than a presence here in the world of Hollows; a being weaker ones left alone or died too, and stronger one left alone because it was not worth the time or energy to remove him when he was of no threat to anyone that did not interfere with him.

The wind kicked up once more, shifting sand about as Gekimetsu continued to break down the sand immediately around him, converting it to energy to be used in the next series of attacks when the time came. Kaiedo’s face was arranged in a mask, devoid of emotion. Behind his grey eyes there was a brain hard at work, but the thoughts remained obscured.

”What is it you seek, Hakai Chikara?” he asked, breaking his silence; his voice sounded weird to him. He seldom had use for it here in this world where you were either dead before you could speak or had no use for the words. Only fools spent time taunting others with words when there was no guarantee of victory. In this case, he had allowed a little impatience, and hoped to get an answer at least some of his questions now.

Kaiedo Moui, just by looking at him you could tell something wasn't right, that he had some sort of insane power hidden behind his structure. He looked as if he had been fighting for a while, there was no way Hakai would muck around in this fight; it could even mean his death if he didn't take this serious. It seemed, in many ways, they were a like. Not in a way that they were both blood thirsty, but in a way that they remained calm and collected, not letting any opportunity slip by. Ultimate tacticians of a fight. There was no way Hakai could know what Kaideo could do since the name had never been brought up, even by the Monsuta he was unknown. As his punch flew across, it hit nothing but air as the opponent had managed to step back avoiding the punch swiftly in time. Hakai's face held a grin, inside his head though was running all kind of possibilities this fight could bring up. His eyes were focused on the hand placed against his zanpakuto, waiting for it to be drawn any moment. The sand was already starting to pick up again.

His eyes sort of flashed, the sound of a swoosh filled the air as Kaiedo had vanished, this was a typical move. Did Kaiedo honestly think Hakai would fall for such a cheap trick? That was preposterous, even if he didn't know how strong Hakai was. The destroyer turning his body, his hand that was the metal rod began to melt away once again, shifting shape into that of a blade. His mind was focused, the eyes watching the blade that was coming down. Just in time Hakai placed the blade attached to his arm in the path of Kaiedo's sword. The blades connected, a large spark getting shot out everywhere across the desert of Heuco Mundo. The sand was rustling even more now, this would become a nuisance without a doubt. The cold steel rubbing against each other could be felt, sending cold shivers up his arm. It didn't hurt however, it was just as if normal blades were connected. If anything, Hakai had the upper hand in a sealed state fight. He could make shield, swords, hammers whatever type of weapon he wanted.

"Don't take me for a idiot."

His voice echoed, it sounded menacing, the grin that was covering his face was gone. It was swallowed down by a serious face, a serious attitude and style of fighting was about to hit the surface. His attitude right now could be ultimately comparative to Byakuya in many ways, the calm personality while fighting was a good thing to have, even if he got hurt. His eyes squinted as the other vizard had vanished, the words of a kido brewing up behind him. It was high level without a doubt, he recognized it instantly. Jerking his body around, he turned to face the oncoming blast, slamming his arms together the skin quickly melted and shifted into a shield which was standing at 1 meter tall and one meter wide. This was enough to take the impact of most of the blast, no matter what type of kido it was.

The shields were held strong, his arms stable. The kido continued to fly through the air, soon smashing against the said shields with extreme force, forcing Hakai back a bit, forcing to dig his feet in and keep his position. Once the force weakened on the shields, the shields quickly disappeared and instead turned into dual blades which were very, very sharp even by looking you could tell this. A major smirk was on his face, sand flying everywhere. Only... more words managed to leak their way from Kaiedo's mouth. It didn't sound like a kido, could it be... he was releasing already? A bunch of particles were being absorbed around him, flying towards the source. This was going to be interesting. Maybe Kaiedo can force Hakai to release? who knows. All in good time this will be found out. A crimson light shown through all the rustled sand, flying at tremendous speeds towards Hakai. With quick thinking, Hakai steadied his stance and quickly launched off into the air from his spot, twisting his body in mid air, slamming a twisting kick into the arc of energy. This wasn't a normal kick however, his leg was reinforced by a metal rod; this would make the damage on his leg minimal.

"Is that all!?"

His voice was strong and evil just like before, every emotion and facial expression stayed the same. There was no changing it, especially with someone this strong. After smashing through the arc of crimson he continued on wards, his blade arms held strong and steady. As soon as he reached contact distance, rapidly, Hakai begun to slash at Kaiedo, each strike aiming for his upper body or his head. Each slash had a considerable amount of force behind it, this would be harsh on Kaiedo, hopefully getting a few hits in while doing so. He constantly slashed away around 25 times, there were around 2 slashes every second, which would be extremely hard to follow and bock ALL of them.

Once he stopped slashing away, Hakai would then attempt to force his hand forward and grasp onto Kaideo's own face, if this work he would instantly release a quickly charged, fairly weak cero at point blank range. Even if it was barely charged, it would do some damage no matter what. He had to try his best and not hold back, this was a test. This man could be of great importance to his organisation. Having someone like him would be perfect.

Kaiedo’s words were pushed aside like trees before a flood; he had been witness to just what Hakai could do with his strange appearance and form of his Zanpaku-tou now. While he had not understood the appearance when the man had first appeared he now did; it seemed that the man had absorbed his Zanpaku-tou at some point and made use of it in a rather strange way. However, he couldn't argue with the utility of being able to meld one's limbs into useful arrangements. Hakai had stood his ground against the high level kidou with barely a scratch to show for it, and had then proceeded to kick aside a moderately strong blast from Gekimetsu. This was not short of being impressive. It seemed that he would now have to wait to get the answer to the question he had posed to the man.

It was a good thing that he had held the blade at the ready after his initial strike; Hakai was quick on the offense, his arms now in the form of blades as he shot forward, lashing out with a series of quick and deadly slashes aimed for the upper torso. The quick movement and force of the energies in the area forced the dust to kick up around the pair as he retreated from the onslaught. He brought Gekimetsu to bare against the sudden burst of attacks, successful in blocking a few of the strikes but not all; the ones he could not block with the blade he blocked with his arms as best he could. His aim was to sustain as little damage as he could from the onslaught. The attacks had force behind them; a direct hit from a full powered swing was not something he was keen to be on the receiving end at this point.

He had taken a handful of cuts to both arms by the time Hakai changed up his strategy and reached out towards his face. His response was to shrink; not literally to shrink in size but to suddenly drop in elevation as he leaned back and used Gekimetsu's ability to gain a tactical advantage in this situation; the blade broke down the ground directly below Kaiedo and as a result he sunk and shrunk back, managing to avoid the outstretched hand as it went for his face. There was little doubt that Hakai had planned to either throw him or simply blast him in the face from that position, and he was not keen to see how correct he was at this point; it was time to go on the counterattack as far as he was concerned. He had dropped in elevation roughly four feet in a moment between the absorption of the ground below and his lean, and the blade now had a great deal of energy sitting within; more than he normally bothered to absorb. He had only gathered this much as a means to avoid the attack in the first place, but it would serve him all the same.

He swung the blade upwards towards the figure that now loomed over him, releasing 90% of the energy in a great crimson wave of destructive energy that took the sand directly in front of him along with it. He shunpo’d straight forward, following the wake of the attack as it sought Hakai; he doubted that the attack would manage to do much damage, though he doubted the man would have expected the sudden change in the battle field of the sheer mass of energy that the blade had managed to absorb in such a small amount of time; it would deal some damage if he had calculated things correctly. He rushed towards his opponent, swinging the large blade towards him again, his face betraying little emotion as he did so.

There was a hidden danger behind the swing, however; Kaiedo had activated Togu on the blade, the crimson aura now surrounding the blade. Against someone like Hakai who fought for or less unarmed, the ability should prove particularily effective as the cutting power behind the blade was increased. If the man was not careful, he may actually end up with a severe wound, though he doubted that would be the outcome. Thus far he had been able to gather a few things about Hakai; he was far more intelligent than his speech made him seem. He was good at estimating the power behind attacks, as he had been able to sustain minimal damage from a series of attack that would have been the death of many weaker enemies with little to no knowledge of who he was fighting; and he was doing this in an unreleased state as well, at least as far as he could tell. He had been correct in his initial assesment of not being able to take this fight likely unless he wanted to end up with greater injuries than the ones he had already sustained.

He struck three times with the large blade and enhanced aura before he unleashed another wave at his foe, and used the cover of the large blast to make use of Shunpo once more; he appeared behind Hakai, his left hand pointing at the man with two fingers.

"Hadou #4," he began before vanishing once more, Shunpo pulling him back and to Hakai's left as he lashed out with a kick. There were several ways this could go now; if Hakai grabbed the kick, Kaiedo would unleash the kidou he had begun aimed at the man's arm to free his leg. Should the kick be successful, then Hakai should be moved back several feet from the force, and he would unleash the kidou as he was pushed, aiming more for the right leg than the body.

If Hakai simply opted to move, however, then Kaiedo would forgo the kidou all together, and shunpo after him to keep the pressure on. He had gathered one other thing about Hakai thus far; Hakai was the kind of person who liked to be on the offensive rather than defensive. He didn't doubt that Hakai could function in a defensive state and do it well, but he was the kind of person who obviously liked to be in control of the tone and speed of the battle, much like himself really, and thus he was aiming to force him out of that seat. This was a test all on its own anyway; how well could this man adapt to being out of his element? What would he do to gain control of the battle again?

He had to be careful, however; this man was taking this just as seriously as he was. Kaiedo's face betrayed none of the thoughts pouring through his head, his grey eyes focused on the opponent he was now engaged in combat with. As the wind kicked up and sand rose around them, it was broken down near instantly as Gekimetsu absorbed it to keep the cutting aura active around the blade. He lashed out with the blade, making use of the fact that he had a range advantage with the blade because of the size and the fact that Hakai's blades were limited to the range of his arm, or at least as far as he had demonstrated thus far. He noted that he could be wrong about that range as well though; he would retreat with the use of shunpo if Hakai suddenly increased the range on the attacks.

Hakai had ignored the question he had posed before, and for a split moment he thought about repeating the question. However, now was not the time. He didn't doubt that the man had heard it, and simply had not answered, much in the same way that he had not answered Hakai's question about whether this was all that he could do. This was nowhere near that, and he had no qualms about going further to prove that, if the situation called for it. He had not moved to Bakai in many, many years now, nor had he had to summon his mask in a good deal of time. He would do either of these if he had too though; beyond his curiosity in the organization that the man ran he had no interest in falling in a place like this, at a time like this. He would bring all the force he had to to stay alive and get the answers to the questions he had and would pose to the man before the day was out.

There were many things that Hakai had noticed about Kaiedo, the fact he mainly used energy attacks and also he seemed somewhat on the defensive side which suited Hakai's way of fighting. In many ways, they had the same fighting style; trying to set the pace and make the enemy fall for tricks that could follow up with an attack more devastating than the previous strike. Hakai's face did not change, throughout every sequence he kept a light head and focused on attacking rather than getting a hot head. This way of fighting was typical of Hakai since he didn't have many other ways to fight, he was brought up fighting cool headed so that's all he did. As the slashes lashed out after another, he saw bits of blood spurting as the blades for arms had managed to slice Kaiedo. The destroyer gave a little sid smirk before chocking it back down and smothering it in an expressionless taste.

The main thing Hakai was focusing on was staying on the offence, making sure he kept the pace. Initially the grabbing towards Kaiedo's face would have been unsuspecting, however this man... he was brighter than he looked. As his hand reached out, it just went straight over; the small cero blast shooting over head of the other vizard. Quickly, Hakai scanned the area, looking down and noticing the blade of the enemy covered in some sort of aura which radiated immensely off of it. It was clear Kaiedo wasn't stopping here and that he had more in mind than just dodging without retaliating. A crimson aura began to shine even brighter as the energy leaped from the blade and made it's way towards Hakai attempting to catch him off guard.

"I said... Don't take me for an idiot..."

To anyone, this type of voice would seem menacing, especially when the destroyer is serious. A large intense feeling of reitasu was let off, it exploded from Hakai's body and hit the air with a thud, enough to even push back two tier and below. As the crimson light reached Hakai, he used his arms and put them into a cross pattern in front of his body; the energy slamming straight into them cutting slowly into his skin. Not a sound was made from Hakai, despite it cutting slowly. Swinging his arms out, Hakai swiped away the energy blast within seconds of impact. As the blast disappeared into thin air, it revealed Hakai bleeding all down his arms, leaking onto the soft grains of sand. All the sand was starting up again, and once again being absorbed by Kaiedo in the process. Grunting a little bit, the destroyer felt pain shivering from his arms, this was the first time someone was able to land a hit on Hakai in a long time... it felt good; real good. As he looked down his gaze drew closer attention to the enemy vizard which was now swiping up after the strike.

A small grin smashed into Hakai, as the aura which elovated around the zanpakuto of Kaiedo came flying up, this seemed like a normal strike however there was something different about it; whether the appearance and glow on the sword was the difference, Hakai didn't know. His large paw hands quickly reverted back to their blade forms as the strike came, the two zanpakuto's smashing together, the force emitting large sparks as more blows from the powerfully enhanced swords smashed into Hakai's metal arms. After each blow Hakai grunted a little more, scrunching his face up as he parried them off. This guy... it was like he loved the simple shikai move of his, waves of energy; this would be annoying. As Hakai on looked, yet another wave of energy came, he returned his face back to a nonchalant one and focused on the attacks.

"Kaiedo Moui, the wandering vizard... prepare to die!"

This attack was simple, quickly used both blades Hakai strikes straight through the middle, cleaving the energy wave in complete two. The two waves were sent right past his body with ease. However, something unexpected happened while Hakai did this, Kaiedo was gone? A reiatsu could be felt building up near him, twisting his body he noticed an enchantment from the man, only for him to disappear once again. Is this all the man did? Disappear and attack again? This would get annoying, even for Hakai at this rate. Before he noticed, he saw in the corner of his eye a kick flying up, attempting to hit him in the side, before it could reach Hakai's hands were quickly reverted back to their normal shape and he reached out, grabbing the foot. This was it, his time to strike... or so he thought.

As his paws grabbed the mans leg, the words that were emitted came into action; the blast of blue energy shooting straight into his arm. As soon as it hit, Hakai pulled away; the blue smoke raising off his arm as it hit. Within a flash, Hakai sonido'd away from Kaiedo smirking, this man would become a good asset in the destroyers mind. He now stood a good 50 meters from the other man, making sure he had kept the distance between them just in case.

"Roar, Iwa Kinzoku!"

Within seconds of saying this, a massive smog and black reiatsu exploded over a 300 meter area. This blast was massive, enough to knock back people below 2 tier level, this was going to be a massive onslaught, it would be interesting if Kaiedo managed to even push Hakai to his bankai; that's when things would get interesting. As he did this, the reiatsu raged for 20 seconds, the sound and ripping of the intense reiatsu built up quicker and quicker. Before suddenly dying down, Hakai revealed himself floating in mid air, a thin layer of black smoke floating around his body while his eyes pierced down a evil red layer of light. His eyes were menacing; this could intimidate even the scariest of people. Slowly, he lowered himself to the ground, his skin had changed to a much darker colour as the smoke continued to float around his body, his body overall seemed much larger, like he had become much stronger.

"Kaiedo Moui, you managed to force me to use this. This better be damn worth it!"

The Kidou found its mark and forced Hakai into a hasty retreat; that was strange, since while Kaiedo was good with Kidou he didn’t expect such a weak one to force a retreat of this distance, even if it was well placed. He watched as the man landed some fifty yards away before yelling out something. He felt the pressure before the darkness covered the area; he wasted no time in getting the fuck out of that smoke, flying straight up and out of the smoke and darkness. The man had obviously just released, but what exactly did that entail? Hakai’s reiatsu pressed down on the area like an oppressive heat wave, fitting for their locaiton; there was no doubting that this man was strong. This would end poorly for Kaiedo if he was not observant. His face remained calm, showing no signs of the concerns that were coming up in his mind. Gekimetsu began to absorb energy from the air once more; he wasn’t entirely sure what he was walking into at this point, so better safe than sorry.

The smoke cleared, revealing Hakai and his new form. Kaiedo took in the sight; whatever the smoke was, it had to do with the release. Being anywhere near it was a risky move at best, a foolish one at worst. Then again, the smoke was made up of spiritual particles; he could probably break them down and absorb them if it came down to it, though doing so would not be easy. Hakai looked straight up at him, and Kaiedo returned the gaze with the same calm focus he had displayed thus far. The aura around Gekimetsu glowed bright crimson as he stood there. Hakai called out, a threat and a challenge. It seemed that Kaiedo had managed to rouse the man’s ire.

Kaiedo weighed his options here; he could retreat. He was good at masking his reiatsu and knew the desert like the back of his own hand. However, Hakai had already managed to track him down once despite the fact he had not been releasing much reiatsu. The man had proven to be quicker than he appeared as well, so there was no guarantee he’d make it out as things were. Turning his back to the enemy was a bad idea when so many variables remained, and so he abandoned that option.

So instead he’d have to either weaken or defeat the man. Hakai certainly possessed a lot of strength, but Kaiedo had yet to reveal much of his own; in this landscape Gekimetsu reigned king, leaving Kaiedo to use his own spiritual power for other things like Kidou or sustaining his mask. Speaking of that, he could move to his mask and attempt to overpower Hakai straight away; however, escalating and showing his hand so quickly could end badly if he was unable to do adequate damage. He’d hold the mask for an emergency.

Hakai’s reiatsu continued to press down on the area; Kaiedo’s remained close, warding off the effects of the man’s crushing power. Any weaker beings in the area would have been crushed by now. It was only going to get worse too; it worked out well for Kaiedo in any case. Gekimetsu could feed on the fleeting souls of the Hollows and other such cretins that were destroyed. Hakai was going to get impatient; it was time to move since the other seemed to now be waiting instead of going on the offensive. Was Hakai testing him? A few moments ago the man had been trying to kill him, now it seemed like he wanted to see what he was capable of. Was this arrogance or was something else going on?

It didn’t matter; Kaiedo’s stepped forward with his left leg, bringing Gekimetsu up, the point aimed directly at Hakai. His answer to Hakai’s threat was a single word.

”Kaijin.”
Kaiedo vanished, reappearing 30 feet above Hakai; he thrust Gekimetsu forward, and the entirety of the energy that Gekimetsu had absorbed up until now rushed forward, taking the form of a strange dragon-like creature with a lion’s mane and gnashing teeth. It flew straight at Hakai with the speed of a bullet train and the force of one as well. Kaijin had the strength above that of a Gran Rey Cero, but that wasn’t its true strength. Should Hakai use any energy based attacks again it, they would be absorbed into Kaijin as it continued after Hakai. Beyond simply that, Kaijin would follow Hakai for another 60 feet or until it hit something and detonated.

The likelihood of this attack ending this battle though was low; five percent at best he guessed. He forced Gekimetsu to absorb more energy once more, and moved, watching how Hakai dealt with the attack he had just launched. If the man managed to somehow block the attack or stop it short, then he would launch his next attack. He would land on the ground and unleash another Zenkai wave at the man from one side before moving to the other, at a closer distance, and launch a second with the intent to catch the man between the two attacks. He would keep enough energy saved within the blade, however, to keep Togu active in case Hakai closed on him once more.

Should Hakai manage to dodge the attack, Kaiedo would shunpo ahead of the man and launch a Zenkai there instead with the intent to stop the man long enough for Kaijin to close once more. If Hakai managed to just outright destroy the attack, however, he wouldn’t bother with the Zenkai strike; he’d rush in while Hakai dealt with the attack, and bring Gekimetsu down, aiming to sever one of Hakai’s arms with a Togu enhanced strike. This was the most risky of the options though, considering he didn’t know anything about Hakai’s release or abilities at this point. However, he wasn’t going to give the man time to set-up or prepare anything either. As long as he kept the pressure on, he held a measure of control over the flow of this battle. Being pushed onto the defensive was something he could deal with, but he’d prefer to not let it come to that if he had the option.

Regardless of which method he went with after the dust settled, he was sure there was a counter attack coming from the man. The smoke that Hakai had let off could be a million different things; the smoke could be some kind of poison to cripple or kill the opponent. It could be used as a smokescreen to cover his attacks, since he had shown to be a danger Hakuda user thus far in their fight. He may well have had the ability to solidify the smoke into objects, much like how Kaiedo could with spiritual energy in Bankai. Beyond those things, it might be able to be used like Byakuya Kuchiki’s zanpaku-tou, as in the smoke actually being blades. Any of these options were possible, and each was dangerous in its own right.

If Hakai tried to surround him in smoke, he’d do something he did not normally do; he’d flare his reiatsu, unleashing his true force to push the smoke away from him. Beyond that though, he could only wait and see how the man chose to counter attack, and adapt as normal. Thus far Hakai had proven to be a truly dangerous opponent; he could not let his guard down for a moment, or he might take a truly damaging hit. His expression remained calm and collected through all of this. He was not the kind of man to reveal his thoughts during battle. How far was this battle going to go? Kaiedo was prepared to take it as far as he had too; knowing little to nothing of the man’s intentions and reasons for the fight, the worst case scenario was that the man wasn’t to kill him, and under that assumption Kaiedo was spare no force to prevent that outcome.

The intentions of Kaiedo seemed... interesting to say the least. It was bluntly obvious that Kaiedo was a energy user but yet still held great skill in the art of zanjutsu; he really was a forced to be reckoned with. Even if he didn't show it on the outside, Hakai had a pain in his gut... a pain that he had only ever felt once. The pain of that if he didn't put everything he had into this fight he could lose and, in his mind, become Kaiedo's bitch. Hakai was determined however; after the release Hakai took a deep gulp and sucked down and compressed that painful feeling in his gut and stayed focused on the fight. It seemed Kaiedo had a particular pattern with his attacks. He would start of with waves of blasting energy to to distract the opponent while he aimed a much bigger and heavier strike from another direction. It was weird however, if Kaiedo's true intentions were to avoid fighting why would he still stay? It wasn't like Hakai was the fastest in the world. Maybe he wanted to fight... wanted to prove to Hakai that he was a good warrior... which is exactly what The Monsuta Leader wanted him to do.

Hakai's eyes fluttered as Kaiedo disappeared, attempting to follow the quick flash step that he possessed. The words came from above, tilting his head up quickly, Hakai had taken on a reinforced stance which was ready to take any attack and hopefully nullify it in the process. As the words 'Kaijin' escaped the other vizards mouth he knew something big was coming his way. In the blink of an eye a massive blast of energy was launched off, traveling as fast as the eyes could comprehend. Hakai didn't think much of this however, in his mind he could just move and dodge the attack; although it seemed it wasn't going to be THAT easy.

The vizard quickly slipped into a shunpo in a hopeful attempt to dodge the energetic blast which was sent flying towards him. Hakai reappeared aboard Kaiedo's level, they were now standing at the same height. The Destroyer let loose a violent and wild grin towards the other vizard, his face was rather smug like he was disappointed in his efforts. Before he knew it... BAM. The dragon like blast of energy rammed into him from below, exploding in a dust cloud of black smog, almost the same colour as Hakai's own smoke. From all over Hakai was standing there was fire and smoke erupting and floating into the sky around them. A large cackle type laugh erupted from within the smoke, however it was stuttered like it actually effected Hakai and he was injured.

From the outside, it was impossible to see Hakai. However, on the inside there was quite the planning happening. The leader expected something to follow the attack and he had in mind what that would be. As Kaiedo drew closer, Hakai saw the sword come down and aim to slice of his arm while there was a red aura illuminating off of the blade. Before the blade could make contact with Hakai's skin a large screeching noise was let loose, sparks sent flying in every direction. His left arm had turned fully into a reinforced steel pillar, taking most of the impact of the blade, however it still sent shock waves of pain through Hakai's body on impact. It was better than losing an arm. In retaliation to this strike, a large amount of spiritual pressure was once again exploded from Hakai. Within seconds, the massive right fist of Hakai came flying up attempting to smash into the Kaiedo's left cheek. However, this was in no way a normal punch. The punch was reinforced by him coating his own fist in the toughest steel. Not only this, but Hakai had also covered the fist in the black smoke that surrounded his body. If this was to come into contact with Kaiedo's skin it would most definitely tear apart his cheek and cause blood to spill as well as the smoke attempt to enter Kaiedo's body. If the smoke managed to enter the vizards body it would send intense shock waves of pain throughout his entire nervous system for a couple of seconds; seconds that could really aid Hakai in this fight.

While the waves of pain would still be there, it could be suppressed if there was enough pressure put on it. Say, if it went into your system if you emit enough reiatsu it could be nullified quite the bit.

"In response to your question... I seek your aid. However... I need to test your limits until you are worthy within my ranks."

It would be foolish if Hakai did not in any way have a follow up attack. Throughout this fight Hakai had studied his patterns, how he fights and found the best ways in which to retaliate. From the looks of it, his zanpakuto had the power to absorb many spirit particles and use them to fuel his energy attacks, making them more powerful and almost no end to the attacks. This was truly Kaiedo's territory... the spirit worlds.

Quickly, Hakai would allow his fist to follow through fully in a complete swing. However, with his left arm that was struck previously he would within the blink of an eye raise his now blade arm up and hopefully slice directly up through Kaiedo's chin. This wasn't all though; to follow through a massive blue aura would fill the area, particularly around Hakai's tongue. This was Hakai's cero, it was an obvious cero at that. While it wasn't the strongest cero to ever be, even at this closer range it would do a devastating ability. Hakai knew that his zanpakuto could absorb spirit particles, however he wanted to test this theory through even absorbing energy attacks all together... in essence this would make him immune to all energy based sides of things which was lucky for Hakai.

Would this end the fighting?

Could this end up with them killing each other?
