• Personality: Rolyde is someone that seems cold : not necessarily arrogant, but distant in general. He holds himself aloof towards everyone else namely because of a light misanthropic attitude. In a sense, he sees no value in attatching himself to people as they will simply leave him. Having struggled with abandonment much of his life, Rolyde often finds himself better off alone. He tends to put value in numbers and results, preferring to see facts and non-variables. In a way, he dislikes the ever changing and inconsistency of people. He prefers a solid ground and a solid, consistent attitude. It leaves less room for errors and he doesn't feel as if he's lost. People in general aren't his strong point : it's the reason why he prefers to keep himself from others. Rolyde attaches himself to next to no one, except for his brother and his captain. He never seems to be hesistant when he needs to be put into action, and even breaks rules if he could see something being done. He does not like to be lazy : he always needs something to do or he feels lazy. As such, he is hardworking and yet overworked. In a sense, Rolyde needs to be tired in order to feel good : so if he skipped a walk, he can't sleep until he took it. This can make him easily perturbed when his natural order is disturbed : and quite cranky. One thing is that often, Rolyde doesn't apologize. He hates apologies, since they are overused. He will, instead, give a favour or something : so he might seem rude, but he is naturally somebody whom cares a lot about order at heart. He tends to despise noisy people, even though his brother counts as one.

• History: Rolyde was born to two parents in the British Isles. In fact, he had an older brother, named Poliro. Rolyde wasn't quite sure what to make of his brother when he was very small, but he adored him. After all, Poliro was a good boy and took care of him : and told him that monsters didn't exist. It was a comforting thing : Rolyde never told anyone what he saw, but if Poliro said that they were his imagination, then he believed his older brother. And that meant Rolyde was quite happy with his mother, father and brother : he had a happy family. Until one day, in 2050 when the wars broke out. A stormy night, Poliro had gone to get medicine for him : Rolyde was a bit sick, but he had told Poliro that it was okay. As an attentive elder brother, he did what he could. However, Poliro never came back. Unknowingly to Rolyde, his brother had gotten killed by an Arrancar.

So the boy had to step up as the eldest son, helping his father : however, a second tradgedy, when Rolyde was 15 himself, happened. His father had passed in an accident, making the boy the only male in the family. He worked hard, along with his mum, to let them live : and it was hard day, by day. He'd often go to work after school, and come back really late. It was a life : until that one night, where the sounds of the monsters echoed. Scared, he heard an explosion : and saw a strange creature leap forward after a little girl. Pushing her away, the thing leapt on him, and devoured him : it was painful. His soul was seperated from his body, as he kept running, having picked up the little girl. He was scared, because he felt strange without his body : and he knew he had just left his mother alone.

But he kept running, until a strangely garbed person killed the thing. With a smack of the hilt, they were both sent towards a new home, and the male took care of the little girl. One day, he got hungry and was recruited into the academy, where he did well, graduating. However, he never bothered to look for his shikai, contenting himself on studying, and experiementing. However.. he learned that his brother had been in Soul Society : the sadness that he might have spent more time with him was overwhelming. Unfortunately, he could never seem to meet up, or even speak to his brother, always distant. So in the end.. now Rolyde wasn't quite sure what to do.

After Poliro left Soul Society, he felt a need. A need to prove their family name better.. so perhaps he would become a Tensol and show his worth to the Soul Society.
