A Short Ballad for the Vertically Challenged[Luda/Open] - Page 2 Empty Re: A Short Ballad for the Vertically Challenged[Luda/Open]

Giriko watched quietly as his attack connected and his opponent flew away from him, flailing rather impressively as he hit the ground. He should not still be conscious after getting hit from that and while Giriko had been preaching about the difference between confidence and arrogance and which side of that particular coin Giriko fell on in his little self-monologue, a moment of arrogance seeped in as he had already deemed the conflict over. Giriko had turned his back on the boy's form and turned toward the medical tent, which was typically there solely for accidental injuries, not someone intentionally burying a blade in another person's rib cage. Giriko was moderately concerned that they wouldn't have the equipment or personnel on hand to handle the wounds he had inflicted. He would simply have to hope for the best for the time being it would seem. Before he could get very far however, a voice piped up behind him and it had caught Giriko rather off guard. The boy whipped his head around and saw the man rather conscious and rather confusingly so. He shouldn't still be awake after that hit. He would say he couldn't, but the reality of the situation was rather compelling evidence to the contrary.

He wasn't just awake, he was incredibly different as well. His entire demeanor had changed, entirely. Giriko slowly turned back around to look down at the young man bleeding on the ground. Giriko wasn't sure how he was dealing with the pain in such a cavalier manner, that wasn't the sort of thing you just shrugged off and carried on a normal conversation with or referred to in such a cavalier manner. What in the world was wrong with him? The fact that he had done a complete one hundred and eighty degree turn from his previous...personality was odd enough but how clueless this one seemed was even more disturbing. Giriko stood in silence as the man kept speaking, trying to figure out what happened. The other interesting issue was that he, a shinigami, had no idea what Giriko had hit him with. Sho was one of the first things you learn in the academy, how could he not know what it or Kidō in general was? How did this guy pass the academy? Did he pass the academy? Giriko had assumed that, with his ego, he had at least progressed that far. It would be depressing if he had just beat up a new student who was just a little too full of himself. A sigh escaped him as he slowly lifted his finger toward the man on the ground. He wasn't taking any risks that this was some stupid trick.

"It is Kidō...Bakudo Number One, Sai."

Unless the man somehow managed to move himself, he'd find his arms bound to his sides, and being generally restricted in his movement. Giriko gave him one more fleeting look of confusion and disappointment as he heard the pounding of footsteps as someone noticed the state of the body on the ground and alerted the medical staff. They'd probably save his life there, but Giriko wasn't planning to stay around to get reprimanded for his treatment of him. He was going to get out of there before someone of greater import and authority arrived to sort out the situation. Giriko quickly turned and seemed to "flit" out of sight again and left only empty space in his wake as he initiated a flash step and swiftly fled the scene, heading back toward the heart of Seireitei and the main complexes of the Gotei Thirteen. He was sure he'd have to see that man again eventually, hopefully he learned some needed humility.

Yoma was beaten and tired, his body ached and he had no power nor the ability to move. Giriko had left quickly as possible to avoid getting into trouble for his treatment of yoma but only answered one of yoma's questions before his departure. Yoma had asked what was the move Giriko used to send him flying and knocked out his other half. Giriko had responded to yoma's question by telling him what was the name of the move he used and what type it was, Bakudo Number One, Sai, Kidō. Yoma had no idea what Kidō was the move that was used on him just influenced him to learn more about it since it could help him in the future. As yoma laid waiting for treatment he wondered about this fight he wasn't sure everything that had happened but he was pretty sure that he may bump into Mr.short shinigami again.

Their were people in a panic their was blood on the grounds and the students all around gather around the bleeding and suffering yoma but this was soon broken up when some members of the medical staff , they tried to calm the students and end the uproar and broke up the students and had them back away from yoma's battered up body. Yoma was taken away to be treated while the students were all talking about what had happened. it seemed that Giriko had won this fight but yoma felt like he should go looking for Giriko once he becomes stronger.
