Honestly, Hono's blood was already flowing, the woman really missed the rush she got from fighting like this. After all, cooking didn't exactly get her going quite like this. The thoughts of the fight flowed through her head, pushing every other thought to the side.
Hono had put quite a bit of force into that swing, the Shinigami would press into the clash as well, wanting to show Yuri just how much stronger physically she had gotten since their last bout. The last thing she wanted was to lose a hold like this. Though common sense in a fight would mean Yuri was gonna use this hold to her advantage.
"You think I'm gonna let something like that stop me? Come on... I'm stubborn..." She was starting to feel a bit of numbness and weakness. Thankfully the woman had the willpower to stay up. The second she felt the numbness she would push forward, and take a leap backward, putting distance once again between her and Yuri, attempting to escape from the feathers.
"If you want me to use my Shikai... you're gonna have to try harder than that!~ I don't want the fight to end so quickly..." She taunted the woman, a devious smirk on her face. Hono extended her left hand forward, hoping she put enough distance between her and Yuri as she focused. She knew Yuri was more skilled in Kido than her, hell Hono still had to use incantations, but Hono was gonna use what she had.
If Yuri was able to close the distance, she'd easily be able to stop Hono from chanting, if not she'd finish her chanting.
"Mask of blood and flesh, inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hadō #31! Shakkahō!"
Hono would cast the highest level Kido she possibly could, one she was finally able to cast confidently with the help she got from Mizu. A small red ball of flames formed in Hono's hand before it manifested as a beam directed at Yuri.

"I hope you're reborn, Asher. You're strong, and no doubt your next life will be just as strong. When we meet again, let's throw down."
Despite the situation, Elyss couldn't help herself, staring the Arrancar down as he fired his Cero. Of course, being so close to him, she felt her skin melt under the intense heat and pressure he emitted, but she couldn't stop here. If she let go, he'd be able to move, he'd be able to dodge Yuuto's attack, and he'd be able to keep going until they couldn't. It's now or ever, so why not put every last bit of herself and even more into her next attack.
""Ye lord!" She started, pulling her right arm back, feeling her energy piling through her body towards her hand. Muscles tightened as she forced every ounce of herself to move, defying her own incapability to grant Yuuto his one chance. She could feel her energy fighting her, tearing her muscles and popping veins, but she clenched her fist and gritted her teeth.
"Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
Her clenched fist is slowly forced open as she chanted, a ball of red burning energy growing larger by the second as all of her Reiatsu is given form, a gift that none other but herself could give Asher. Even as she found herself tearing apart, she put on a smile, a deranged flashing of teeth like none other before she clenched her fist and popped her own Kido spell around her fingers, causing it to spill and encompass her fist, that energy spiraling as she thrusted herself around Asher to his front.
"Hadō #31. Shakkahō!"
She punched, swinging her arm wildly for his face. She didn't care which mouth she hit, and she didn't care as she completely annihilated her own arm as she punched through one of his Cero, literally forcing his own energy to bend around her flaming fist, ascending the power of her own strength by pushing his own attack and her fist into his open maw. She didn't care if Yuuto took her arm off with his attack. She didn't care if he cut right through her entire body.
The thrill of putting it all on the line like this for no other reason but a good fight, what other reason is there to do something like this? She could hardly even think about protecting the world, but she knew that at the end, she's either a hero or a failure.

He didn't like her striking his back. Elyss doesn't have any expression on her face to show, but her eyes held enough determination to at least share her warrior spirit with Asher. They're both focused on this single interaction after all, but he has a weapon and she doesn't.
It's not the first time Elyss has tussled with armed combatants, so she found it easy to maneuver herself. Dodging wasn't an option for her, so she raised her left arm, watching his blade begin digging into her skin. She didn't show any surprise when she noticed that edge digging through her natural defenses, but she quickly countered by slamming the palm of her free hand into the edge of his Zanpakuto. Energy leaking from her palm, she dulled his advance as she felt his momentum turn her.
Her grip tightened then as she pushed against him, grabbing his katana. Yuuto'd come then, doing what he desired, but Asher would also have to worry about Elyss' glowing grip.
"Hadō #31: Shakkahō," She chanted like before, an explosion happening between the two that'd send her launched backwards towards the ground and maybe leave Asher open for Yuuto to finish his assault.

She didn't say anything else, tilting her head as her eyes looked up towards the mass of energy slicing its way to the two Captains. It was a simple matter to move out the way, but Yuuto had opted to face Asher head-on than to reposition himself. It was obvious that he lacked the strength to stave off his opponent, but Elyss had faith in Yuuto's speed.
Faith alone though...
It's sometimes best to rely on statistics than belief, and the unsure answer of if he could win lingered in Elyss' mind. Both of them have released, but Yuuto's not getting anywhere close to coming out on top. Fighting integrity or friendship: in the end, Elyss only grumbled at the idea that she'd never face Asher alone. Despite herself, he looked fun.
"Hadō #31: Shakkahō," Elyss muttered, preparing the spell in her hand.
As the two traded blows, she took a spot into the sky to the side, pointing her palm downward. Pouring what she can into it, she took aim at Asher and let loose the Kido while Yuuto went on the offensive. Her aim is to slow down the Arrancar do that Yuuto can land a fulfilling hit. Arrancar lack the regenerative abilities of Hollow, so unlike last time, any damage is going to stick.

I. Equipment Information
Spiritually Cauterized Holistic Incantations as Symbolized Markings/S.C.H.I.S.M/schisms are ready-to-use instant cast Kido, cauterized below the surface of the skin, with an appearance similar to a tattoo. Weaker than true Kido, a schism makes up for lack of power with greater utility, mainly in it’s instant casting and capability to be used even when bound by Sekkiseki (though at a drastically reduced power), since the Kido is already primed and does not require more than a pulse of Reiryoku internally to activate.
» Name: Spiritually Cauterized Holistic Incantations as Symbolized Markings/S.C.H.I.S.M/schisms
» Description: Schisms are a composite of a Kido's incantation in the form of a symbol that efficiently correlates it's spiritual flow. This symbol is then spiritually branded internally by the user, just below the outer layers of skin. If successful, the schism is able to store a percentage of Reiryoku, to be activated at a later date, in the form of the Kido it represents.
» Effect: By spiritually imprinting a schism onto oneself, the user is granted capability to instant-cast the specific Kido it corresponds to, similar to skipping the incantation when casting Kido normally. The benefit is the instant casting, and the fact that the schism stores Reiryoku, eliminating the need of exhausting the spirit as a normal casting would. The downsides are the lower level of power a schism can generate (1/3 of a normal Kido, with incantation), and that the schism can only be cast over/from the area it is branded, meaning a schism on a palm can only be cast from that palm, on a foot only from that foot, etc.

- Seki (斥, Repulse), The practitioner generates an orb of light blue energy, which not only blocks physical attacks but repels whatever strikes it.
Bakudō #81. Dankū (斷空, Splitting Void; Viz “Airtight”) A defensive wall Is created to protect against an enemy’s attack. It can stop Kidō-based attacks with power up to level 89, if the practitioner and attacker are of the same or similar level.
Hadō #1. Shō (衝, Thrust) the practitioner points at their target with their index finger, a small amount of energy is dispelled from the tip of the index finger with enough force to thrust a considerable amount of kinetic force at a target, which is pushed back a few feet from the practitioner.
Hadō #31. Shakkahō (赤火砲, Red Fire Cannon; Viz "Red Flame Cannon") The practitioner generates and fires an orb of crimson red energy on his/her palm or finger. The orb can be small, medium, or large, depending on the level of power being used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy, and in both instances, the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage
The symbols for Seki are on the palm of each hand and sole of both feet.
Danku, is located directly on the ankle joint, on the top of each foot.
The symbol Sho Is carefully inlaid over the space between the first and second knuckle joint of each hand, so that with a closed his fist, the portion a punch would make contact with would have the symbol clearly visible.
Shakkaho is on each elbow.
The only Kaido symbol he has is an overly large one centered on his solar plexus, that is known to stop bleeding, but not heal the actual injury.
» Accessibility: Any being, living or not, capable of manipulating their spiritual energy is capable of using a schism, provided they know or have the requisite incantation and enough spiritual energy to power it without killing themselves. It is readily available for all Shinigami, the information disseminated on the process to create and apply each currently known symbol.
I. Additional Information
- ”SCHISM Limits”:
- A schism is a further weakened version of incantationless kido, having only 1/3 of its maximum power. There is a limit to the number of different schisms one body can handle and maintain, and a limit to the number of castings a fully charged schism can manage:
1 Full powered casting fully depletes the schism
2 half powered castings will deplete the schism fully
5 weak castings are available for Vice Captain class and above
4 weak castings are available for Lieutenants
3 weak castings are available for all below Lieutenant level
Once depleted, it takes time and focus to recharge a schism,. Below Lieutenant, the schism cannot be recharged in the same thread. Lieutenants require 4 posts to recharge, Vice captains 2, and a captain and above can recharge in 1 post, at the cost of 1/5 of their current spiritual energy for the remainder of the thread. Exceptions to all above apply for threads that are multi-hour/multi-day.
Lastly, the number of schisms one individual can have is based on their spirit. Below Lieutenant, only 5 different schisms. Lieutenants can manage 7, Vice captains 8, and Captains and above, 10. For all, the hard limit of multiples of the same schism is 5. I.e. a captain can have 10 schisms, and 5 each of those 10.
- ”Creating/Applying a SCHISM:
The process of creating a schism is simultaneously simple and incredibly complex. It begins by establishing a symbol that corresponds to the ‘flow’ of the Kido intended to be used. The symbol’s structure should maximize the flow of the users Reiryoku through it, and for those not well versed in spiritual control, without mathematical or machined assistance, this can prove a monumental task, as one small slip-up could have catastrophic results, up to loss of limb or even damage to the Reiryoku channels. Tests are conducted on standard containers to ensure safety prior to application
Once established, the incantation is carefully inlaid into the same symbol. For the last step, the individual intending to apply the schism must circulate their Reiryoku precisely into the shape of the symbol, incantation included. As the Reiryoku circulates in the shape of the symbol, the user pushes the Reiryoku to the surface of the skin, just before the Reiryoku breaks the skin. The user pushes more and more Reiryoku into the symbol, until the schism sets, the Reiryoku heating up to physically cauterize. In most cases, this is signified by the schism no longer accepting the Reiryoku, or in cases like Shizuka’s, they bottom out of Reiryoku entirely.
Of note, the symbol for a specific Kido has the same base structure for every person, but due to everyone’s individual spiritual signature, there will be slight differences. For example, if a Kido’s symbol is a star, one person may have a star’s outline, another may have a pentagram, and another still may have a stylized star, all based on the most efficient flow of that individual’s Reiryoku.

I. Equipment Information
Sekkiseki Bandages are simple cloth bandages, interwoven with ground Sekkiseki dust. While intended as an aid for a medical condition, the Sekkiseki has the added bonus of increasing the tensile strength of the bandages themselves, as well as a very minor dampening effect on the strength of Spiritually based attacks and phenomena that make contact.
» Name: Sekkiseki Bandages
» Description: A full-body covering of grey-hued, simple cloth bandages, interwoven with ground Sekkiseki dust. They were designed as a mechanism to allow Shizuka to keep his constantly leaking Reiryoku contained.
» Effect: The bandages prevent Shizuka's Reiryoku from escaping, a medical condition that resulted from his spiritual damage. While there is enough Sekkiseki woven into the bandages to halt the ambient Reiryoku escaping, it is not enough to prevent Shizuka, or any other user, from pushing their Reiryoku through in order to cast Kido, etc, though it does require more effort and use of spiritual energy than usual. They have the added benefit of reducing the efficacy of incoming spiritual attacks, such as Kido or Reiatsu, to a very minor degree, and the Sekkiseki woven into them increases the tensile strength, making it about as strong as thin leather armor.

I. Additional Information
While no one else is known to have them currently, they are readily available for anyone, as their creation is simple. In most cases, usage would be a hindrance, but the application can be used for many purposes, including, but not limited to: training in Reiryoku control and application, with increasing difficulty levels based on the amount of Sekkiseki woven in. Other applications include creating clothing that would block a spiritual signature, if one so chose to have the garments made, making the application useful for stealth missions.
Shizuka maintains a large stockpile of bandages and Sekkiseki dust, as well as pre-made bandages, in order to replace them as they wear, are damaged, or have been rendered either unsanitary or unserviceable.

» Description: The unique style of Zanjutsu developed by Shizuka, tailored to his strengths and limits. There are 5 forms, referred to as Dances, and applicable techniques for each form.
» Effect: This Zanjutsu incorporates movement techniques, offensive and defensive maneuvers, and technical skills/ttechniquesmeant for utility to create a versatile and adaptive style of fighting that is tailored to Shizuka's specific strengths and skillset. The style is designed so that it can be used in hand-to-hand combat as well as swordplay.

I. Additional Information
When using ranged attacks, Shizuka relies on the Sekkiseki bandages, and has roughly a 20-foot radius of range with his arms fully extended. The bandages for his blades are wound separately from the bandages on his body, and in such a way to allow minor adjustments to trajectory based on the movements of his hands. I.e., a straight piercing throw can be altered to a slice, a throw aimed at an arm can be altered to the body, etc.
- ”Dervish Forms:
Before being able to use a Dance, he must first establish a battle rhythm- a pace at which his body and movements will synergize with the target. Failure to establish a battle rhythm results in weakened or entirely unusable Dance forms. A battle rhythm takes five non-consecutive combat posts to establish, or three consecutive combat posts, per thread.- ”First Dance – Spider’s Waltz:
Characterized by fast turns, spins, and short, controlled steps, this technique is most effective when the target is in an open space, allowing Shizuka better movement around them to attack. Utilized at mid-range, about 5-10 feet from the target, the goal is to distract by an onslaught of throws, aiming to strike if possible, but mainly maneuvering to intercept each blade back in his hand while in flight, so that the bandages stay adrift around the target. Once appropriately encircled, Shizuka then draws the bandages taught, aiming to ensnare, entangle, or otherwise incapacitate the target either fully, or by targeted limbs. The modified version of this Dance is for melee range, where Shizuka forgoes ensnaring and aims for consecutive and rapid attacks.
- ”Second Dance – Serpent’s Merengue:
Strictly a movement technique, this uses exaggerated footwork movements of traditional Merengue, especially the drag leg movements. Shizuka utilizes this Dance to close with the target. The largest and most notable movements are in the legs and arms, while the core stays tightened. By taking the principles of Shunpo – covering the maximum distance with the fewest steps possible – Shizuka moves in an erratic weaving pattern to narrow the space between himself and the target, before he moves into another Dance to engage.
- ”Third Dance – Jaguar’s Capoiera”:
- This Dance is an offensive one that aims to overwhelm the target with continued fluid motion, one movement feeding into the next and each response to the target’s actions dictating the next move in the spur of the moment.
- ”Fourth Dance – Octopus’ Trance:
This is a combination movement and defensive Dance, typically used to aid in Shizuka subconsciously learning the patterns and movements of a target that outclasses him, by entering into a trancelike state. It is characterized and made possible due to Shi’s heightened kinesthesia, moving just enough for attacks to slide by, mere millimeters from actual contact. The danger in this technique is the closeness Shizuka has to come to actually being hit. Severe damage and contact takes him out of the trance and his battle rhythm, forcing him to reestablish a battle rhythm in order to utilize his Dance forms effectively again. It takes 3 consecutive combat related posts to consider this Dance ‘complete’.
- ”Fifth Dance – Crow’s Rave:
This Dance is only able to be used after the Fourth Dance has been completed. After completion of the Octopus’ Trance, Still maintaining a battle trance, Shi abandons almost all defensive measures, instead opting for pure aggression and attack, as fast and as hard as possible, while blending the previous Dances together seamlessly, to the point the target would feel as if they’re being attacked by a full murder of crows, much as the namesake suggests. This is a last resort technique, as it draws out all remaining strength Shizuka has, and rapidly saps his stamina. He is limited to only two minutes (approximately two posts) of full capacity usage. After two minutes, if he tries to maintain the technique, he maintains his speed and ferocity, but his strength is halved from Its standard strength (i.e. half as strong as he would be without the enhancement) during the third post, and all capabilities continue to halve, to include speed, for each consecutive post, up to 5 total posts. After a fifth post of usage, Shizuka’s body fails him, and he is rendered completely immobile and/or unconscious.

This creates an unbroken cycle, with an approximate millisecond delay, of spiritual energy that surrounds the user. She uttered in unison with Mizu's own declaration, though the red flames flew from her free hand to wrap around the two of them. Red and yellow became orange before dissipating to leave a black circle around them. Erika had more than just sword tricks up her sleeve so she'd be happy to take advantage of her immense pool of reiryoku to show her opponent that it'd take more than kidou to best her.

The axe missed its intended target and instead created a small crater into the ground, a quick reaction time was required and Chihiro provided it, good... it'd be boring otherwise. However she hadn't sat there after her dodge, Chihiro made an immediate counter attack, gluing the head of the axe to the ground. However truth be told Shura wasn't entirely sure as to how durable the glue was, however this was because she didn't even make an attempt to pull it free. Instead Shura's hand immediately reached forward palm open and aimed towards Chihiro, however it wasn't another Hakuda she was using... "Hadō no Sanjyuichi..." As Chihiro used her Shunpo to move back towards Shura she gave a grin towards the girl "Shakkahō"
A flaming red ball both appeared in her hand and almost immediately exploded as the first set of honey globs was fired forth, while this did mean Shura was unlikely to be covered by much if any it also meant that Chihiro would avoid the brunt of the explosion. However Shura wasn't putting her all into the kido, intentionally lowering the output of the spell to about 40% of its overall output potential.

Her eye twitched.
It seems his bullets are actually starting to reach her a bit. That's what she gets for taking so many of them, but she's not going to slow down just yet. Maybe if she can distract him, she can land a blow. He may be skilled, but she can probably throw something out there not even he'll be entirely prepared for.
"Hadō #31. Shakkahō," Elyss muttered, stepping closer to Roman.
The ball of energy flared to life in her hand, its power weakened without an incantation, but she's not using it to attack anyway. It's fiery nature flared a dark crimson before she brought her hand up and down. This should do.
The fiery bulb of Reiryoku flared to life as it hit the ground, a pillar of flames suddenly erupting under their feet. Roman should be capable of dodging that much, but Elyss stood in the fire's embrace, almost appreciating the way it licked and singed her skin. However, she's not done.
"Hadō #1. Shō!"
Pointing her finger even as she felt the skin bristling and popping, she fired off multiple thrusts of wind at Roman, each shot seemingly enhanced by Elyss Shakkahō, red energy painting those bullets of air a dark red.

MORIKAWA MIZU | 2nd Division Vice Captain
With a grateful bow to the kind stranger, Mizu made a mental note to make sure to get her name at some point today to properly thank her for the assistance. She really didn't want to try explaining wanton destruction in the barracks to her Captain. At this point she turned her attention and gaze to the aggressive woman from the Fourth. Something about her was familiar...not her wild behavior...nor her fierce, though beautiful, looks. Mizu couldn't quite place what she recognized about her.
Instead of drawing her weapon, as Shura raced forward Mizu just raised her hands in front of her and took a deep breath in and out. Luckily for Mizu, Shura didn't appear to have a noticeable advantage in speed; at least so far. She was able to follow the Third Seat's movements as she rushed her, and with precise timing Mizu conjured a translucent red barrier that enclosed the two like a giant box, a miniature and no doubt weaker version of what Hannah had created. But it would prove enough for Mizu's plan, at least.
Right as Shura would be cleaving through Mizu with her Zanpakuto, the latter raised her left hand and conjured another cubic barrier, this time between herself and her opponent. This served to trap Shura, but Mizu figured someone of her rank in the Combat squad would be able to break out eventually. Her true plan would be revealed as a small hole opened in the barrier in front of her, which Mizu promptly put her palm against and said aloud "Hadō #31: Shakkahō - Apply: Fire!" A burst of crimson flame erupted from Mizu's palm and swiftly filled the entire area between the barriers she had sought to lock Shura in. The fire enhancement ratcheted up the heat and intensity of the spell's flames, turning it into a veritable inferno meant to engulf her opponent.
