The time was now, the chance to see if Arianda was telling the truth about if she really knew her brother. All she had to do was turn the stupid doorknob! Just reach her arm forward, grab it, twist, and pull the door open.
But, even now, she hesitated. Part of her was afraid to see what was behind the door -- even if what was behind it really was her brother. She had high hopes, the feeling of their bond was stronger than ever, and she wanted so desperately for her to be right, for all of her wanderings to finally be over, for her sleepless nights of worrying about his safety to be over, to simply see her brother again and embrace the sibling that meant more to her than life itself.
The thought process was quickly interrupted as the demon took charge, appearing in front of her, unlocking the door, and blasting the door off its hinges, causing the mage to immediately go wide-eyed from how blunt, direct, and mildly rude she was to enter without even so much as a knock. So, summoning her staff, she quickly cast Hadō #57
, Dachi Tenyo in order to pick up the door and reattach it to the entranceway.
Dismissing her Zanpakuto, she quickly came up behind Arianda, hiding behind her as she turned the corner, hearing a sigh before a gentle, quiet voice responded."Ari, you really need to learn to knock..."
Kitarune peeked out from behind Arianda, and her eyes went wide. A young adult sat upright in bed, holding a book in his hands as he stared back at her. There wasn't a doubt -- his black hair, his voice, and the connection that had previously been reduced to embers now went ablaze in her heart. Tears came to her eyes as she slowly came out from behind Arianda, holding her hands close to her chest."Y-Yuuto...?"
At the mention of the name, his ruby eyes lit up and went wide. He didn't say a word as he slowly closed the book, setting it on the nightstand next to him as a stream of tears slid down his cheeks. He stood up, walking over to the mage, wordlessly and without reacting catching Arianda mid-flight and setting her down next to him as he took the last few steps to close the distance between him and his sister. She was shorter than him by a couple of inches, so she had to look up slightly as he looked at her."Atsuko...?"
That name again. She remembered it now -- and everything came flooding back to her as if that name was the key to her memories, and it had just now unlocked Pandora's Box and unleashed her memories back to her. The name she had now was one that she had brought together out of the words "northern" and "magic", and it was solely because she couldn't remember her name before. Now, she did, and tears only continued to stream down her cheeks as she wrapped her arms around Henrex -- no, Yuuto
-- embracing the elder brother that she had missed for so very long, and now, she had finally been reunited.
