What Are We? [Thara/Henrex] 1VUZAtK

[09:45:10] Henrex: Isuzugawa Cafe, Toba, today, at noon.
[09:45:20] Henrex: I'll be at the table closest to the window.
[09:46:54] Henrex: Don't be late.

It wasn't like him to have such a cold firmness when speaking to others. Perhaps it was to stress the importance of the matter, but, as he looked over the read messages, Henrex set his phone down, sighing softly as he took a sip of his drink.

It had been a couple of days since he had sent his letter to Thara, as well as since having received one in return. He was honestly surprised to receive a response from her, much like how she was surprised to receive a letter at all from him. Part of him wished that they never would need to have this conversation, but, it just wasn't how their lives ended up.

But, even with how they parted ways, he never stopped thinking about her. Even after everything, he still held a fondness for her. Deep down, he hoped that they could make this work. She betrayed his trust, yet, as he said in his letter to her, he wouldn't be here if he felt that their relationship, the time they spent together, meant nothing. Perhaps this would be goodbye -- even if he hoped it wouldn't be, but he knew that he certainly would try.

He would not go gentle into that goodnight -- at least, not just yet.
