Nor Ruin or Destruction [Rafaela, Yugiri]

Having such energy ripped from one's being was hardly a smooth or pleasant experience. After all, the hollow parasite hadn't simply been something nestled in some empty slot; it had wormed its way deep into Rafaela's being, and even now, trace remnants of its energy remained latched onto her soul. She wasn't entirely sure if she could ever really get them out, but that was hardly the most pressing thing on her mind.

Forcing herself to her feet, even in spite of the agony she was currently experiencing, Rafaela moved to make sure that Yugiri was also alright. Maybe it was stupid to do so; she was much stronger than Rafaela, after all. But what else could she do? Just leave someone she considered a mentor and a friend laying there? She was someone who believed in doing the right thing, even if she didn't feel like much of one at all right now.

"Hey, Yugiri, are you- ow... Are you okay?"

Her voice was shaky, unstable, wildly lacking in its usual bombast. But, given the circumstances, that was hardly so surprising.

Face in the dirt she wanted to pass out from the whole experience and lay here until she was better like a sick cat. The sound of Rafaela brought her back to reality from the sinister hollow's warning. Yugiri didn't let her fear show to her junior, what good was the student worrying about her senior like that after all she'd been though all this. It just wasn't cool.

So she moved her hand to plant it on the other woman's head and give it a reassuring pat but made sure she was still staring at the abyss of her eyelids to not convey her own fears. The fact she was exhausted helped.

"Shhh and relax, Rafaela. I'll take you home in a bit."

Yugiri assured but her cocky attitude was absent, replaced with ragged breaths.

Home. It hadn't been that long since she was home, really; after all, Rafaela always went home when she had a chance, and she considered Konigsberg as much her home as the house she'd been born in. She didn't want to be here anymore, and the tension that was built up in her chest was nearly unbearable.

She wanted to cry, but she wouldn't dare. Not here, not now. Instead, she nodded, closing her eyes and taking deep breaths to center herself. With an unsteady voice, she replied quietly to her mentor.

"Thank you, Yugiri."

It wasn't just for taking her home, of course. But she didn't think laying out endless thanks would be the sort of respect she should show to an act like this had been.
