Personality

Sakura tends to look on the brighter side of things. When there's homework, she would think ¨Could've been more¨, or when she loses something, she might think ¨At least what I lost wasn't my virginity¨. In light of such a vulgar thought, it could be said that Sakura is a little pervy. She doesn't quite understand that there's a line that could be crossed when it comes to being appropriate, which goes well with her uppity attitude all the time, so when she's criticized about her vulgarities, she could just shrug it off, but because of that, she's bad with authorities, elders and others of the sort.

Sakura, aside from her ignorance of the ¨line¨, is a pretty normal girl. Despite essentially being a little perverted, she would react to situations like most others would. There's an extent to which she can be optimistic. Naturally, if there was a traumatizing occurrence, she wouldn't exactly handle it the best, seeing as how she's preppy and hasn't gone through much hardships. Since she is spiritually aware, she's pretty mentally tough, and she isn't fazed easily, but she's still a teenage girl, so there are some things that would frighten her greatly.

Hollows are one of the things she fears a lot, since along with her spiritual awareness, spirits are attracted to her, and she may be caught between a plus soul and a hungry hollow. Sakura isn't the fondest of insects and arachnids either. She freaks out in the site of a spider, but some of the minor..-er.. bugs she can handle (like ants or rollie-pollies). Clowns aren't amongst her most favorited things in the world either. In fact, she steers heavily clear of them and doesn't enjoy the carnies too much. All in all, she's a pretty standard girly teenager.

Sakura can be conniving as well, and she is, to an extent, an intellectual. She enjoys literature and has proven her intellect by achieving high grades in her classes (mostly fives, and rarely fours as her grades). She almost always gets ¨shū¨'s and rarely gets a ¨yū¨ -never anything lower. Back to her ¨conniving side¨.

Sakura lives alone, and it's only due to her taking advantage of the divorce between her parents. Receiving money from both of them, she has that ¨well-off aura¨ sometimes, as she does have plenty of money to spend (considering both parents are bigshots). She does have some modesty (when it comes to her social class. She has no humility in casual speech; an example being her vulgar language previously mentioned). Thus, she has a devious side to her. During her parent's divorce, she used delicate word-play to convince them that she should have a self-sustained life for the remainder of her high-school days.

History

Sakura was born into a rich family with pretty much anything a normal middle-class person could ask for. Her family was blessed with capital fortune, charismatic personalities and dashing looks. Her father, a big shot in the entertainment industry, considers her to be ¨Daddy's' Little Girl¨, and invests an enormous amount of time, money and dedication to her and her needs. Though she appreciates the gestures and loves him back quite a bit, she would feel stuffy, even as a child, which inadverdently bore a different side to her that's well hidden-- a plotting side personality with darker thoughts than the average person. That personality, however, would never surface, and would instead simply act as the little devil on her shoulder, her subconscious, playing a part in her decisions.

Her mother was the daughter of a CEO of a big corporate company. Sakura and her mother both were deeply loved by their fathers, and so, even after Sakura's mother married into a rich family, she still received many things from her father. Luckily, Sakura's mother and father's parents knew each other quite well, so it was practically an arranged marriage with love. Sakura's life was more than just good; her life was absolutely perfect.

Pretty soon her family came across her innate ability to see, feel and talk to spirits. Though initially worried, Sakura's parents came to accept and embrace this part of her. Realising this ability as early as five, Sakura's luck had clearly been applied, as most of the time, whenever involving a spirit, Sakura gained much knowledge and wisdom (albeit she may not apply it too often), and even learned physical things. One of the spirits she came into contact with taught her the basics of assorted martial arts, and her blessings showed clearly.

Sakura proved to possess amazing physical attributes. To many, she truly had a perfect life. Sakura's first love was in fact the spirit that taught her martial arts. Dreaming to one day meet him again, she convinced her parents to allow her to join many different sports and others of the sort. Being a 1st to 3rd dan in multiple martial arts, as well as being phenomenal in gymnastics, Sakura had gained friends, appreciation and admiration from society. She easily assimilated into a social life and forgot about her first love relatively quickly. Though, one thing many noticed was her failure to see the boundaries in conversations. Most simply accepted that part of her-- others ignored it.

Her life transitioned into a life with her happiness heavily based on social interactions: middle school. It was rather easy for her, since she had already made so many friends and was naturally charismatic, but one emotionally worrisome thing, especially for her father, arose: boys. In light of this, Sakura saw clearly how dangerous it would be to have too intimate of contact with the opposite gender. Regardless, she was much younger, and so much more careless. On several occasions she would be lectured by her father about relationships with boys, and also several times, was given the ¨talk¨, as she would be caught getting close with a boys. Not that she went around dating every guy, but she does fall in love rather quickly.

Her middle-school life was over and long-forgotten, as she had moved onto her first year of high school with many familiar faces. However, this was the year of her parent's divorce. Though it did hit her hard, her optimism cushioned the blow. As aforementioned, she took advantage of the situation, but that's not to say she didn't feel the repercussions. On occasion she would feel helpless without the support of her parents in person, but she quickly learned to deal with it, and efficiently at that.

She took up swordsmanship and jumped back into the fray of martial arts. She was most fond of the ¨桜篆書剣¨ (Sakura Tensho Ken). Mainly because it included her name, but also because of it's style. Similarly to aikido, it would mainly brush aside the offensive attacks, but similarly to fencing, much lunging at the slightest of openings would be made. Not only that, but it also incorporated much etiquette and acupuncture, which would explain it's translated name ¨Cherry Blossom Sword Seal Script¨. Reason for the sword style bearing ¨Sakura¨ was not only because the founder too had the name ¨Sakura¨, but also that it was based on the leaves of the Sakuras flowing downward with the wind, showing little resistance and landing on a tiny space of ground (ergo the aikido as well as lunging at pressure points).

So far, her life has been more than good. Recently becoming a second year, she has plenty of friends, financial as well as emotional support from both loving parents, physical and mental blessings, and a way to express her stress, should she have any. However, her life may not remain so well structured...

Human Traits

As a relatively average human there's not many things to say about her capabilities. Like previously mentioned, Sakura was well into physical activities, and naturally, she gained an "in-shape" body from it. As a result, Sakura is much stronger than most average girls, very flexible, and has superb body control.

Also previously mentioned was Sakura's intellect. To be precise, her IQ is 142. Another mental attribute of hers is photographic memory, which sounds all cool and dandy at first, but it pretty much also means she can't forget traumatizing sites, or embarrassing situations.

As she can see spirits and other paranormal beings, Sakura also has pretty good mental stability as well. Not much else to say, seeing as how she's over-all pretty weak in comparison to many others.

Equipment

Pretty much only one thing. Sakura has an odachi shinai that, when pressing a soft button on the blade face of the hand guard, will compact itself into a small little cube, 2x2in. On one side is the same soft spot, and naturally one simply has to press it again to use the shinai form.

Diana, her mask already removed and calling upon her shikai form, remained steadfast in the presence of her opponent. Whilst the form of her released blade was in midst of materializing, her crimson bathed eyes were locked onto the man who stood before her, a fellow vizard, just as herself. What brought about the confrontation was presently indistinguishable, as her heart was readying herself for battle, and her focus entirely on the foreplay of conflict. Her thoughts were clear and her vision was crisp. Her concentration was impervious to any distractions that would threaten her sharp state of mind. And yet, despite her readiness to battle, there was uneasiness brewing in her heart. Uneasiness brought about the knowledge of a presence within her, simply lurking, waiting for the chance to come back out.

Duk duk, duk duk.

The inside of her chest was beating like mad, but her body showed no signs of it. Her eyes slightly squinted, the majority of her hair tied up, and the sweat on her brows completely absent; her true warrior's instinct was kicking in, and the facade of her strength was no longer merely an act. The uneasiness in her heart remained quite clearly, but had no effect on her capabilities. She was truly prepared for what would come. Mind and soul, body and heart.

The blade, long and sharp, had finished construction. With that, her mind was ready to strike, and with her appearance closer to her original form, taking that of a young adolescent girl, so was her body. She leaned forward ever so slightly, her knees bent, waiting for the perfect timing as well as an opening.

¨Come in from the right and stab at the left side of the abdomen- puncture the liver.¨

Her thoughts were gruesome and violent, but her intent was real and pure. The reiryoku released from her shikai form as well as removal of her mask let out a true shinigami's spiritual energy. It blasted out from all sides, letting out a monstrous wave of energy. The ground below her, in the vast plain of nothingness, trembled, and bits of rubble would be lifted and drawn to her, the density of her reiryoku affecting the gravity of the field. A yellow hue coated her body and shot up, visible from even several miles away. Her presence with slight compression removed was enormous. It stretched out even below the floor beneath her, as cracks in the ground were revealed, symbolizing the structure of the earth's crust compromised and unstable.

Diana gathered and condensed her bursting reiryoku below her feet and through the veins of her calves, she braced for instant and insane speed. She bent her knees even further down and arched her back forwards, leaning back slightly. She positioned her left arm forward and bent upwards at a ninety degree angle, and her right arm the exact opposite. The ground directly beneath her began to crack, and a circle around her appeared, the earth below slightly disintegrating. Her feet, covered by plain white shoes with laces missing aglets tied perfectly uniform, seemed to be coated in yellow with a black outline- an apparent byproduct of the compression of reiryoku bracing for launch- whereas the black outline formed due to her inner hollow and it's own reiatsu beginning to take over again. She was running out of time. She knew quite well the consequences and most definitely did not appreciate the outcome. DIana lifted her right foot off the ground, and sprang forward.
