Looking For a Fight [Finished] Empty Looking For a Fight [Finished]

Thu Jul 20, 2017 9:51 pm
The sky was dark and the air was still. Not a sound could be heard but the footsteps of a man walking along a dark and lonely street. Aside from him there was not a soul to be seen. This town didn't have much of a nightlife as everyone who lived here had already retreated to their respective dwellings. Because of this, Kichirou felt kind of lonely being out here in the dark and cold night. He longed for company, though not the kind of company one in his situation would normally long for. He wasn't out here looking for nightlife, he was out here to look for something to punch in the face. Not someone mind you, something, as he would never just walk up to someone and hit them... without reason. Though now that he thought about it, having someone to spar with could be fun right about now. It sure beat randomly wandering around waiting for something spooky to show up.

That was actually the reason Kichirou was here, to wander around until something spooky showed up. He was on a patrol of sorts, not an official one as he was no longer employed by the Soul Society, but also not one out of boredom or some other petty reason. He had heard there had been hollow attacks someone around these parts, so he came to take a look around for a while. These attacks were probably the reason he was alone right now, as nobody really wanted to come outside and potentially get eaten. Kichirou could sympathize with that, not wanting to get eaten. He figured it would probably not be pleasant. That's why he was here, to make these people's lives a bit more pleasant if he could. And in doing so, he could participate in one of his favorite hobbies: punching things. However, even though he'd been here for several nights, nothing had showed up. He both liked and disliked this. He liked it because if none were showing up it meant these people may be safe, but he disliked it because it meant he was wandering around with nothing to do, which was very, very boring.

Kichirou eventually turned off that street and ended up somewhere on the outskirts of town. Figuring he had wandered around for quite a while today and nothing had showed up his entire time of being here, he could take a break. He found a nice rock to sit on, one that he had actually sat on a few times before. Resting his elbows on his knees and his chin on his fists, he looked out across the scenery. A small wind had picked up, resulting in the scenery being dominated by fields of swaying grass. He could see a plowed field here and there, as this town was quite a bit into the country. There weren't many places like this around these days, technology becoming so advanced and all. It reminded him of where he grew up, another quiet town like this. However, instead of marveling at the quiet serenity of the scenery or being lost in nostalgia, he felt bored. He supposed the scenery was pretty and all, but one thing he had learned a long time ago is no matter how pretty something is, it can always get old. This is especially true when nothing happens... ever. A deep sigh escaped Kichirou as he continued to contemplate his boredom, waiting for something to happen.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden

Mirja was wandering for a reason really unknown to all but the God of Wandering, which she didn't have. She had the God of Traveling. Different thing all together. This was her just going out and not really having a place to go, just putting one foot in front of the other and hoping that there would be something on the other side of that that would be interesting for her. Because right now she needed something interesting. She was bored, and being bored she was rather dramatic in some situations that needed her to be less than dramatic.

And so, when she finally came across someone sitting around not really up to much, she broke out into a grin. Finally, something for her to do. So she walked up to him and bent down to be face level with him. He seemed, bored, and so she was here to fix that for him post haste.
"Hello Mr Man! You look bored, and I am kind of bored, shall we work together to crush that boredom under heel until it's gooy brains leak out of it's ears?" She asked. A rather, dramatic statement, but it captured the essence of what she was going for. Behind her swung a tail. A tail that was so fluffy and cute that it drove the person watching it switch to pet it. A strong, mental compulsion that meant they had to touch it, had to affirm the fluffiness with tactical sense. There was no other way to resolve this then to pet the tail...

Finally! was the one word that crossed Kichirou's mind as this somewhat strange person spoke to him. He was elated that someone else had offered to alleviate his boredom. Finally something was happening. In his elation, Kichirou suddenly shot up from his rock with a resounding "Yes!" while clenching his right fist in front of him as his Devil's Arm flexed, which may or may not take the stranger by surprise. "I say yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea! I take it by "crushing boredom" you mean a fight, yes? I was just in the mood for one!" Only now did Kichirou really take a look at the stranger who had approached him. He had realized they were female already by their voice, but only now did he actually notice their features. The first thing that drew his attention was the fluffy protrusion growing from their body, also known as a tail. He supposed it was strange for a person to have a tail, but concluded that everyone was unique in their own way so he shouldn't care too much. Still, there was something substantial that drew him to that tail, but in his newfound exhilaration he just chalked it up to feeling excited to be able to fight someone who was potentially as strange as himself.

However, even in his excited state Kichirou still realized something important. "Oh, before either of us forget, if we are to fight we should probably move out a bit from town. These people need their sleep and I'd hate to mess up the scenery." Kichirou also realized that he still had neither introduced himself nor heard this stranger's name. Although it was usually customary to do so, Kichirou decided that he didn't really care about this person's name nor if they knew his. After all, pleasantries could always be explained later. This stranger also seemed to be a person who cared about as much as him about said pleasantries as they had walked up to a complete stranger with a proposition to have a brawl. Deciding to help keep things going, Kichirou walked some steps away from the town while beckoning to the stranger to follow him. "Come with me, if you will. I've been hanging around this area for a bit and I know of a good clearing we could rough up without anyone caring too much. What brings you to around these parts? I've been patrolling this general area recently"

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden

Mirja was a six foot wolf girl with a monster living inside her soul as her best friend. There was very little in the world that could surprise, shock, or amaze her. This guy's Devil Arm was just another thing in the long line of stuff. It seemed, he wanted a fight, and so Mirja knew just where to take him. It didn't occur to her that he wanted to fight Mirja herself. The One-Hit Wolf rarely threw down casually, after all.
"A fight is always good. I've got the best place for you to come. Usually, it's balanced for humans and mortals and so I got a title for knocking people out with a single thunderous blow. But there is on occasion a brilliant man that comes in and amazes me. Like the God of Fists. Ohh, he was great. Fists like steel, and a masterful control over the Leeching Fist. First and only man I ever surrendered to. I thought he was just, too good to beat. I didn't want to hurt his ego by crushing him. I wanted him to carry on for as long as he could. And if he was beaten, then he would be beaten properly" she rambled, dragging him at a very fast rate. It was crazy that someone could walk over a hundred miles an hour, but this was Mirja.

"Don't worry about the surroundings, either. It's underground, reinforced arena. Even I've not been able to damage it, but I haven't been down there lately. Nor have I ever attacked the walls themselves. But still, don't worry. You'll not be in any worry. Just believe in your fists and go into it with your heart on fire and that is all anyone can ask of you" She exclaimed, doing something with a phone while they were 'walking'.

Kichirou was very surprised at having been suddenly grabbed by the stranger. He had barely a second to look around at them before suddenly being rocketed through the air. This confused Kichirou greatly. Because of this, it took him a few seconds to actually figure out what was happening to him. This stranger had grabbed him and was apparently dragging him along while moving very, very fast. He soon learned where they were apparently headed from what they were saying while so rudely abducting him without his permission. Normally, Kichirou wouldn't really mind this. Normally, Kichirou would be fine with heading to an arena as that usually meant getting a good fight. However, for other reasons, Kichirou slammed his feet down, dragging them along the ground in a futile attempt to slow them down. He began to yell at his captor in a loud and hurried voice.

"Hey hey HEY! Wait just a second! Stop!" Kichirou may be reckless and hot blooded at times but he was never this outright rude. He would never outright abandon a job whether it was assigned by himself or another person. He would never abandon innocent people with no means to defend themselves from a threat. He didn't care if he hadn't seen anything since his time of being there, it was a fact that the attacks happened whether or not they were still happening now and he would not leave until he was sure they were safe. No matter how bored he got, he wasn't the kind of scum to abandon his post just to chase a thrill. He didn't care whether or not this stranger knew why he had been patrolling the area or how much stronger they were than him, you just didn't snatch someone without asking them first. He wanted this stranger to stop, and he wanted them to stop NOW.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden

Mirja stopped as he asked and turned with a frown. Staring at him for a moment, and then looking over to where she was going, before turning back and looking very confused. What was he meaning, wanting a fight but wanting her to stop. Maybe, he was scared of moving so fast? Not a terrible thing, she could help him but not yet.
"Ahh, don't worry. I can drive fast. But, seriously, if you don't want to go to the arena, then how are you going to have a fight? This place isn't exactly Hollow Central. Nor are their evil demons to fight. Or any sort of villain, really. You'll not find the fight you want to find around here" She told him, giving him a shrug and looking around. It had kind of killed the mood that he had just demanded she stop without any explanation.

An explanation would help. She could probably talk to him about his why, and then branched out on that. But as it turned out, he didn't, so she just stood here like a goon staring at him. Why he wanted to stop would have been something to talk about, but as it stood she didn't know that.

After they had stopped, Kichirou glared at this stranger for a few good seconds. He was actually peeved enough that he completely forgot about her tail. After his hard glare, Kichirou took a deep breathe before going into his explanation about why he had told her to stop. "First: I don't care what the situation is, picking someone up and dragging them off without asking first is very rude. And by asking first I mean asking and then receiving a positive answer, just to make that clear. Second: When you do ask whether or not you can pick someone up and drag them off somewhere, it is polite to inform them of the destination before doing so. Third and why I would have responded with a "No" had you asked me before dragging me off: As I said, I have been patrolling this.. that area back there for a while now. There have been recent hollow attacks in the area and I made a promise that I'd guard it for the time being. I don't care how bored I am. I don't care that as long as I've been there nothing has showed up or if that area isn't "hollow central". I have made it my duty whether official or not, to guard that area until they feel safe. I will not go back on that."

After delivering his rather heated explanation, Kichirou squared his shoulders and stood his ground. He didn't care whether or not he just pissed them off. He didn't care whether or not they were many times stronger than him. He wasn't going to compromise his morals just to alleviate his boredom. Whether or not he was actually doing anything, he made a promise to guard over that town. Yeah sure, his proclaimed goal in life was to become stronger and wandering around day by day wasn't going to help him achieve that. However, that wasn't reason enough to break his promise. He wasn't going to abandon fearful people, whether or not they actually needed him. Perhaps he did feel a nostalgic connection to that rural town, but he didn't care if he did. If this person thought that all there was to being good was running around and fighting bad things then they weren't worth his time. Sure he loved to fight, but he knew that fighting wasn't all there was. This may or may not be somewhat jumping to a conclusion but in his eyes, this stranger may be powerful but they lacked any responsibility which was vastly the more important quality of the two.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden

Mirja stared, and he went off on a tirade, as if forgetting that he was the one who engaged the whole 'we need to get out of town so we can have a fight' thing. Hypocrisy abound as he ran his mouth. Why was she the one who attracted the worst? But it was far to much work. So she just ignored him entirely.
"Ok, you know what? I could retort marvelously, but you sound busy. So I'll let you get back to it" She said, waving him off and then wandering around from the guy to go back into the city. She did need to go in, after all. There was a guy that she needed to talk to, and the other guy was just a distraction to pass the time.

As expected, this stranger was nothing more than another mindless, musclebound idiot who thinks power is everything and that they are all that matters. Kichirou was disgusted by people like this. He not only didn't care if he didn't learn her name, he didn't want to anymore. Her name would probably leave a bad taste in his mouth. A good part of his reason for wanting to do good was not to rid the world of evil but to prevent the world from having to rely on people like that. After she walked away Kichirou would shrug off the encounter and make his way back to town. While it was worth getting worked up over people like this as they were indeed a problem, now was not the time to do so. However, he knew that eventually he would be able to make a difference and change the world for better. This encounter only served to solidify his resolve.
