Takehiko Kuchiki
おだ たつや

Takehiko had gotten a special request or note depending on fancy. That he was to help show around a kid from the Shihoin family. Upon mentioning the name to his uncle he was sure he saw a grimace. As though something unfond had been remembered. So he was rather unsure how to address this. Takehiko had come from a family of nobles were it was expected. Best foot forward was all he could say. He'd never met one of the Shihoin family before. Heard of them obviously and his uncle's face at the mention. Though it was very minor there was a change in his facial features. Though you had to have a keen eye to detect them. Takehiko's venture went around the place trying to figure out where the barracks were. Squad Five and Two were laid out differently. Not to mention him being the Designated Healer or Medical hand here. Meant he had a different set of quarters anyway. He'd been here previously when meeting Captain Astillon. He'd yet to meet the other Captain of this place. Though he'd heard rumors that Captain Okami was a difficult man.

Rumors had it an injury done by his uncle the previous Head Captain Tsubasa had been done. But finally, his mind returned as he found his way to them. He needed some directions as it was a long way. Takehiko didn't carry his zanpakuto with him as the law dictated. But also his skills were elsewhere not in the blade. Running his hands along his neck. He pondered Laskt's location but that wasn't his job here today. He'd come to see the figure of the Shihoin boy. He'd gotten a name but introductions would come later. Nobles had different problems in the way they conducted himself. Besides returning from prior training sessions he'd grown. Takehiko had spent his time developing into a fine young Kuchiki. Perhaps in this, he'd find a rival to motivate him further. He wasn't sure what type of person this was but he'd been in the Gotei a bit longer. So it was his job as one noble to another to go make nice. Though that wasn't how the letter described it as the Kuchiki had a set belief for it.

Today would be a day for the books, well at least for Leviathan Shihōin. Due to his brief time in as an active shinigami he didn’t really know his way around like he did the Shihōin manner, which he barely left. After speaking with his Aunt and Uncle, they suggested that he get familiar with the Seireitei and they seemed like they knew just who to ask. Eventually he found out that they had asked a member of the Kuchiki family, seeing as they have a history thanks to his cousin Yuroichi and the Kuchiki house’s Byakuya. He had heard stories of them from time to time from his parents before the accident and knew that the families had somewhat grown close thanks to their relationship. However Leviathan was a bit skeptical about everything, seeing as he never really talked to anyone from the Kuchiki clan or any other noble house for that matter. If he was honest, Leviathan often forgot that his blood was noble, seeing himself as a normal person like every non-noble.

The young shinigami guessed it was finally time to delve into the world of nobles, just how bad could it be? The Kuchiki clan member would be told to meet him at the fifth division barracks, hopefully finding his way there without a problem. After awhile of waiting, Leviathan noticed someone walking the barracks he had never seen before automatically deducing it to be the Kuchiki boy that received that letter. It wasn’t only the fact he was a new face that Levi made the guess but it was also because the man radiated pure nobility from his appearance alone. His appearance was angelic enough to make Levi’s heart skip a beat. It was unusual for him to feel such a way when meeting someone but he passed it off as nervousness from finally meeting another noble. He gathered himself and his thoughts, making his way towards the Kuchiki who seemed like he may have needed directions. “May I ask who you are?” Leviathan said loud enough so that the man could hear him as he walked closer.

Takehiko finally spotted the fellow noble though it wasn't easy. He wasn't exactly a people person or a head hunter. Takehiko didn't claim to be an expert of any kind but he was good at one thing though. "Takehiko Kuchiki, I've come to show around Leviathan Shihoin. " Soon as he said it sounded stupid to him. Showing the guy around what exactly? His barracks, bed over there food on the right. Maybe they meant the Seireitei in general as something to show him. But if that were the case why not just let his family handle it? Did Takehiko happen to look like a tour guide who knew the hot spots outside of a few Ramen shops? "I'm not sure what they want really. I figured I can show you around the Seiretei to a couple of noodle shops, my treat." He said softly smiling as Takehiko didn't act like other nobles. He did this because well showing him around wasn't an issue. But expecting him to be diplomatic sunshine and rainbows was. Takehiko wasn't exactly sure how a noble should act anyways. The whole thing was rather a strange concept broken down.

"I'm the Designated Healer, so you will see me eventually though hopefully not too soon." He said giving a soft shrug and smile. Takehiko had fixed a few people up so far. He'd gotten good at healing and mending injuries. Especially those of Vizards or people with problem children inside them. Akuma was a great learning experience for him in this regard. But in any event, it would have been easier to show him around this way. Taking him out for a bite to eat at his favorite establishment. Missions were starting to pile up again with the War' seeming to regain the fire. But that would depend on them he guessed the young generation Sooner or later they had to pull the weight left to them. Takehiko wasn't famous or popular but he also learned some stuff from Henrex. He had learned from a lot of people and the journey of life went on. His most emotionally impactful lesson came from Ruin.

But enough about him today was about Leviathan Shihoin. The new kid on the block who had ties to a familiar connection of Takehiko's.

Leviathan kept a emotionless face as he finally made his way to the other man, hearing his answer to the question he had just asked. “Nice to meet you Takehiko, I’m Leviathan” he said with a apathetic voice to hide the real feeling of nervousness. Even though it was just a flash, Leviathan caught sight of Takehiko’s face after introducing himself and what he had came to do. It was like he was questioning what he just said or what he was doing exactly. Even leviathan knew that it wasn’t everyday that one noble got asked to show another one around the Seireitei. Maybe he should have stopped them from sending the letter but it was way too late now. “Ramen? Sure why not” he said to the Kuchiki, following him as they made their way towards the exit of the squad five barracks.

When Takehiko explained that he was the designated healer and joked that he hoped he didn’t need to see Leviathan soon. This made him laugh a little, finally putting some emotion on his face. Levi hoped that he didn’t either but as a flash of hollow Leviathan, he knew that it might have be inevitable. “Even if I do, as the designated healer I’ll trust you’ll take care of me” Leviathan said with a slight smile. If Takehiko was a designated healer then that meant he had some considerable prowess when it came to healing the injured. Leviathan pondered for awhile as he wondered if Takehiko had the knowledge on how to heal another species, preferably Vizards, seeing as he was now one.

However he didn’t want anyone to find out his shameful secret, how would one take a pure blooded noble becoming such an impure being? Maybe he could tell someone some day, maybe after he official tamed the monster inside him. “So Takehiko Kuchiki, what is it that you like to do?” Leviathan said as they continued their way to the ramen shop. “I usually like to stay in my lab at the manor but lately I’ve been wanting to go on a training binge to help fight in the war” he would say as he awaited for the Kuchiki to answer.

He smirked a bit at the comment, this job had a one hundred percent injury rate. Everyone got hurt and came to see him at some point to fix something. Percentages aside he took the lead and shrugged his shoulders as he knew it so. The Shihoin wouldn't get hurt on purpose he imagined. As they began walking to the Ramen shop the question had been posed. What was it he enjoyed doing at the moment? "Well, for me I enjoy finding new restaurants and traveling. Seeing places and sights unseen before has always been fun for me. " Takehiko said softly as he thought about it. Though he did have to admit medicine and kido were things he enjoyed more. "Though, truth be told I am a workaholic so generally medical journals and kido of any kind fascinate me." He said smiling giving himself a slight shrug. He acknowledged his problems as they were rather known. Takehiko had calmed down on his exploration of crazy things. Though that list was rather long in that terminology.

Upon arriving at their destination he lifted the door cover so Leviathan could enter. Once entering a Japanese woman stood ready to take orders. Inside it had candles lit among other traditional Japanese objects. Takehiko nodded and the cook began working on his order. "They've got excellent meat, noodles, quite a few good dishes all here. Mostly so we don't have to go to the Rukongai to get a bite." He said as he sat down at his seat, the counter in front of him was marble with designs of kanji and turtles with phoenix and dragons. It was a rather traditional if not cliche thing in front of him. "So formally welcome to the Gotei, right now things are a bit hectic since some of the Captains are busy. Missions have been popping up more often lately for people. I've got one coming up in a couple of days. " He said commenting on the job he had coming up in a few days. It was a rather atypical job from what he could tell at least. He was going to be heading to the mundane world to check something.

He didn't know the details as of now. "I suspect you and I will see our fair of missions soon too. Only a couple of Squad two people left to go around for certain tasks. " Takehiko spoke mostly of kido in this regard as it was his Division's job along with medical services. Squad Two held two duties which were both rather tiring for those who did it. Fixing people was a battlefield of its nature. People didn't just get miracle recovery in a jar. No bald men threw magic beans here. It was a rather painful and long process to save a life. Like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle. Takehiko saw his beverage brought in a small wooden cup that was set before him. After taking a drink as refined as he could he set it down. "So any questions?" He asked politely pondering what Leviathan would want to know from him.
