Ryougi Kishiyuki is pegged as an individual who strives to shorten the gap in strength between anyone who she's competing against. Part of her way of life is to employ strength as a means to wash away the fears that keeps her from doing what needs to be done: protecting people from harm, but what if she were to stumble upon an impassable obstacle? Well, she'll enter in a state of stress and panic, allowing negative thoughts and doubts to consume her spirit. Creating a dark cloud that permeates the mind, seeking to devour her will to push onwards. Depending on the situation, Ryougi can either be serious and determined or nervous and frightened.

Despite the fact she's easily startled by opponents superior to her in every way possible, she musters the strength to try her best, even though her best might result in her inevitable defeat. She sometimes use fear as a motivational device to pursue what might seem impossible to some, nevertheless it's never wrong to try and see how things go. In a social conversation she's apt to stumble on her words every now and then. She tends to be nervous around people that she's never encountered before, and is generally careful with what she shares with people.

To those who're familiar with her, Ryougi can be a kind and helpful individual who understands the way people feel and think. She's highly perceptive, as one's visual cues are ample information for her to understand what's going on. Because of her observant nature, she's capable of ascertaining one's actions before they act upon them. This trait of hers allowed Ryougi to understand certain situations without being involved in them. Ryougi can be indifferent in regards to certain interests that one holds. For instance she can be incurious with ones hobbies or background, simply because she believes that such information isn't worth knowing. Ryougi tends to do what people say when they say it, as obedience grants rewards but the unobedient ones are punished. For example if someone were to tell her to eat a cigarette for a couple bucks she'll do it. Though there are other things that she'll refuse to do such as something that might completely embarrass herself.

» History:

The world that Ryougi knew it was slanted in favor of the strong, those who were weak were killed on the spot. Worst of all was that there were folks who would only just stand, and watch as people die whilst murmuring under their tongue. People born weak like Ryougi were cognizant of the imbalance and imperfect circle that she was contained in. The evident rules set by nature was a glaring mistake imposed by those with the power to do whatever they want. Ever since she was born, Ryougi had to live out her life, wasting away in the cycle of kill or be killed way of life. In the 9th district of Rukongai, Ryougi and her parents perform to the best of their abilities in order to survive and live another day. The ruthless and the barbaric were abundant in the district.

Her father drilled critical lessons in life in her psyche so that she may have a greater chance of survival should her parents ever parish. Ryougi saw killing as a horrible offense and that people should take action upon those who seek to take away one's existence. Of course nobody shared the same way of thinking as her, after all she was only but a diminutive child. Her parents did the best they could to protect their daughter from the world. This meant that she never grew up with friends and was oftentimes alone because of the sheltered life that she led. She was fine with it though, because it meant that she didn't have to see what people had to go through every day. Instead of being surrounded by distractions her father ensured Ryougi would grow up and join soul society where she could experience a better life.

Training Ryougi proved strenuous for her father, as time and time again she would refuse to partake in physical activities that required inflicting harm on someone. Despite the fact that her father told her that there was little to know possibility that she'd harm him. Eventually he aborted the training and decided that she should practice channeling energy into objects and reinforce them. After a couple of days, she managed to exert the desired energy output to coat a wooden stick with reiatsu. When her father instructed Ryougi to use the stick to strike at a table, she did so and upon slamming the wooden stick down on the table, the furniture immediately separated itself, leaving the wooden stick unharmed. Her father wanted to prepare her for what's to come for there'll be a time where her parents won't be present when she's in the midst of a threat that she has to deal with on her own.

By the time Ryougi turned thirteen her reiryoku began to see an increase in development as the older she got, the larger it became. Nearly to the point where her reiryoku would prove to be a problem to her quiet and sheltered life. When she was out with her parents fetching some food that they can cook for dinner that night, a knife toting lone man introduced her mother to the man's knife and plunged the blade into her side. Caught off guard, Ryougi quickly shifted her attention to her wounded mother while her father chased down the assaulter. Ryougi tried arduously to keep the bleeding to a minimum, while her father dealt with the bad guy. Despite desperately pleading for help, no one within their vicinity responded, let alone looked like they knew medical practices. So Ryougi did the best she could to wait for her father's return. After a while she began to worry, and fear struck the back of her head. Ryougi gritted her teeth and decided to look for her father, leaving her mother to bleed. She didn't have any other choice but to figure out if her father was dealing with the knife man or had perished. After traveling some distance away from the scene of the attacks, Ryougi found herself standing upon a blood soaked path that led to the killer. Her eyes rattled like the end of a rattlesnake's tail, her body ceased functioning as she stood like a tree. Lifeless corpses decorated the streets, and once her irises captured the image of her father's body resting on the street she couldn't help but shriek in terror. The knife man's back faced Ryougi's horror-stricken gaze, before shifting his head allowing his right eye to shift its deadly gaze upon her still body.

At that moment she didn't know what to do or how to think, as a plethora of thoughts flooded her mind. As the knife man shifted his body to the direction of his next target, Ryougi eyed a sword that rested in a wounded shinigami's hand and noticed the leg that supported a building had a cut on the bottom. She assumed that it was made by the shinigami during the knife man's attack. Soon as she approached the shinigami to procure the sword, the knife man darted towards her. When he was within close proximity, she used the sword to go for the pillar of a building by throwing the weapon. Just as the knife man neared Ryougi, attempting to strike her, the wounded shinigami clutched the knife man's ankle. The spinning sword successfully sliced the support of the building, sending the wooden construct to lean and slide towards the direction of knife man and the wounded shinigami, crushing both of them.


After the event she decided to abandon everything and attend Shin'o academy with the sword that she procured from the shinigami. She stayed to herself, never interacting with anyone and only focused on what she wanted to do: acquiring the necessary tools that she needed in order to survive. Of course she stayed away from the violent side of things and stuck to learning kido. Though she was still required to learn the other basic fundamentals for becoming a full-fledged shinigami. To her surprise she excelled in both Zanjutsu and Kido, despite only wanting to train in kido. One day an instructor coerced her into taking up a bokken and commenced the duel. Of course she tried her best not to inflict harm on her teacher, fearing that she might injure him. She held back as much as she could while the fight continued, but the instructor's attacks grew more and more aggressive, provoking her to take immediate action before ending up with a bruised hand. As the fight carried on, memories of the day of her parents' death popped inside of her head, causing the battle to turn to her favor. Her attacks were intense as though with the intent to kill. She performed a sword technique that she only saw once during the instructors training exercises and execute it with near perfection that resulted in her victory. After spending a couple of years at Shin'o academy she graduated and began searching for a division to join.



» Natural Abilities:

Imitation Imperfect:

Ryougi has the innate ability to mimic actions that she had seen and put them to use and execute it by employing the exact same method that she witnessed the individual performing. For example she can mimic a hakuda practitioners fighting style while only seeing it once. Though she had mimick a skill that she saw, she wouldn't able to obtain the same lethality, and potency that the holder of said skill possesses for she would only hold a scant of experience compared to someone who's spent years practicing it.

While a hakuda user may have a technique that allows them to punch holes in walls or break bones with a couple of punches and kicks, she would only able to utilize a small portion of the skill. Significantly bruising them or create dents upon the surface but won't be able to match the results of a hakuda user with advanced or master in the area. Instead she would be at the level of an adept. This goes for any skill that she sees, such as something mundane as cooking to something like scaling a wall.

Kido Spells:

Twin Blades

Effect: Upon completing the incantation, Ryougi draws forth a pair of reishi constructed blades. The blades are quite durable, for they're incredibly capable of taking punishment from zanpakutos and other non-reishi construct weapons. Though the more damage they take, the lesser it's durability, eventually causing the blades to shatter.

Ghost Limbs:


Effect: Upon completing the incantation, Ryougi brings forth a pair of limbs that resembles arms. These arms share the appearance of boney like arms with no sign of muscle, just skin and bones wrapped around it. By reaching out with one of Ryougis hands, the limbs begin to move in unison. The limbs movements coalesce the movements made by Ryougi as if she were a puppeteer. The limbs can be employed with the intent of restricting the opponents movements either through strangulation or by grabbing their bodies.

Crystal Explosion

Effect: Upon completing the incantation, Ryougi manifests a tiny blue crystal from the palm of her hand. The purpose of this crystal is to sap the reishi from the surrounding environment and contain it from within the crystal. After enough reishi is stored inside the crystal, she can cause the crystal to explode by rapidly increasing the energy output of the reishi. The explosion is 25 meters wide.

Ghost Surgeon


Effect: Upon completing the incantation, Ryougi manifests a pair of ghost arms. After the arms have been summoned, they begin repairing whatever damages that have been inflicted upon. She can use them either on allies or herself. The limbs are able to heal certain injuries; minor ones take as little as two posts to heal, whereas major injuries such as a severed limb or an open chest wound which requires a much longer post count before the repairs are finished (6 posts for major injuries).

Star Drop

Effect: Upon completing the incantation a star shaped construct materializes 15 feet above the targets head. Upon pointing down her index finger, the star shaped construct plummets and slams on top of the victim's head. The purpose of the spell is to restrict the target's maneuverability as the star-shaped construct uses its immense weight to hold the target still. The star's diameter is 8 meters wide and 7 meters long. Targets with the strength stat higher than her kido are able to lift and break free, but those with low strength will struggle to lift it off of them.


Holy Light:

Effect: Upon Releasing energy from her zanpakuto, a large stream of energy is shot from the blade. The energy beam is three inches wide and travels up to forty meters in distance. But the farther it travels the lesser it's strength. It's capable of pushing foes back at incredible distances and if made contact, the resulting impact causes heat upon any defense that the attack goes up against. The longer the attack lasts, the weaker kido related barriers become. This also means that her energy reserves decrease the more she maintains the spells existence. This technique takes two posts to charge.


Arc of the traveler

Effect: A high level kido that allows her to tear through space, granting her the ability to travel to different parts of the world via the garganta. She uses her zanpakuto as the key that opens the door, enabling the ability to travel to and from whatever location that she desires to go. Though she can't use it all the time as it requires days worth of energy to restore once she had used it.

» Roleplay Sample:

In the darkened empty sky, the silver moon looked down upon the world gazing deeply as a pair blades clashed, filling the once silent night with signs of an ongoing battle. Street lights lined up on each part of the barren side walks. A pair of shadowy silhouettes moved to a fro as the gentle splash of puddle captured the reflection of shinigami and arrancar fighting each other in a ghost-quiet neighborhood. The shinigami bent their left knee, leaping and performing a backflip over the arrancar who attempted to swipe his sword only to strike the hair. As the shinigami made their landing, the arrancar raised his right leg to perform a backward kick which slammed into the shinigami's chest.

But upon impact the shinigami clutched the arrancars ankle, restricting his movements. The shinigami grinned, holding up four of his fingers while gripping the handle of the sword before saying "Hadō #32 Raiga" a stream of electricity cackled and forked towards the captured arrancar. Blue electricity flashed, decorating the dark night and the arrancars body. As the arrancar staggered, the shinigami released their leg and gripped the blade with both hands. Just as the shinigami was about to deliver a crushing blow with his zanpakuto, the arrancar's hunched body quickly lunged his hand into the shinigami's chest while in mid swing.
