"Enjoy your stay...I'll be sure to make it worth while..."

{Let's Begin!}

Let’s put it this way, a quiet day like this was something not yet experienced by someone who’s been alive for fifteen years. Not to mention the weather supplied within the outskirts of Karakura. Everything just seemed…still, as if the life of Karakura or at least the out-skirts had been sucked away. You would of thought there would be at least some life, something.

No…Even the sun was hidden behind the murky looking clouds that sealed Karakura from getting a nice source of heat and energy. It just caused more depression of those whom were homeless or having a rough time, I mean, if your life was lived out so you would never see the radiating sun or even a speck of the lush blue sky wouldn’t you be depressed? What if it were to rain every-day every second…

Well right now, every leaf on a tree stood still as If the earth had come to a sudden halt. As if the end of time was near. It was around mid autumn/fall so those leaves were more of a golden-reddish colour as well as the patches of grass in certain areas on the fields which held of a more yellow-ish colour to represent the grass dying.

After all, Fall was the season for the end of old life and the start of new. So in some eyes, a day like this would be sort of beautiful despite the horrible weather it still gave out fresh air which when inhaled people would this a day like this was great.

Karakura’s summer hadn’t been that great at all, it had rained half of the time but every-day consisted of something happening, just right now in the Outskirts of Karakura…nothing, and normally Karakura’s summer was amazing, fire-works were blasting off, the beaches were full, even to the point where café’s were filled and wiped clean of stock from their cold beverages or ice-creams.

A few would dread to even be here, there’s plenty of cities in Japan were it’s buzzing hot every day, even in winter some-times. The population of Karakura is unknown, to this kid anyway but it’s a pretty damn big city with the events happening it. Those odd ones, take Don, The man famous for his Spirit-Hunter show that honestly pisses most people off to the core, and the hollows that were sighted every day by those whom have spiritual awareness or the shinigami.

All of these were fairly new to Kentaro, someone who had actually been to Karakura in a while, yet it was strange he hadn’t experienced a day like this. Probably because he lived right in the centre of Karakura where it was buzzing with people, fights, last minute rushes for the shops and such.

So even on a day like this, there was bound to be something occurring somewhere else within Karakura. How would someone actually re-act to a day like this? They’d more than likely find something easily to entertain themselves, this idea would probably be something that react to messing around or causing trouble.

For Kentaro it was easier to say he wasn’t one of those types. He didn’t really pick fights unless needed, which included if someone in Karakura High was getting picked or bullied on then he would step in, despite the fact that half the time he didn’t even know this person. That was just the type of guy he was he guessed.

With terms of how many fights he had actually managed to get in to, no one really knew, he time in Karakura High was a enjoyable stay so far know he had to say. He had made many friends and hung out with his group. But it wasn’t a troublesome one, some members of it did cause trouble but it didn’t make their group well known, it just meant that the juniors’ had something or someone to look up to.

With terms of if Kentaro had ever been told of, no. Which could give him some name-calling or something like that, or even being taken in to view as a teacher’s pet. He wasn’t. He just did the work because he wanted to excel and get a good job in life rather than joking around in class, flinging paper and shit knows what other’s do.

He was yet again, just the kid who didn’t care what happened to him for his actions of helping someone innocent out, he’d just get on with it and help them. No one in Karakura, not a junior at least deserved to be dunked down a toilet, bullied or anything. It wasn’t fair and the fact that the head-master wasn’t doing anything meant that Karakura High was starting to gain a bad reputation.

His appearance consisted of spiked black hair which is where he had it short and spiked when he was around the age of six. Right now, he decided to let his grow, it’s tied to the back, falling just by is waist whilst the idea of his hair being spiked properly in the past was shown by the odd few spikes every now and then. Whilst his hair alone was a dark grey tone close to a black with a few green streaks.

Whilst his height consisted of being five foot six he weighed 8 Stone. Which wasn’t exactly to tall for a male aged around him but yet again it wasn’t to small, it was just average height and weight. So by looks, of course without those green bands, Kentaro was just your average kid. Unless you were someone different…you know that was a lie.

Now that you look at him, his favourite colour was green. His eyes were more of a neon green colour with a lined scar running over his left eye towards the top of his cheek, whilst the idea of how this was happened was un-known still. His eyes gave off a soft feel to them when meeting Kentaro first but at the same time a feeling that you shouldn’t really mess with him.

Although this was strange, around the age of six he had yellow eyes and for them to change neon green would be explained in short time. His skin consisted of a tanned colour so not to dark and not to pale other than that…it’s just skin. His clothes worn today were a casual type, wearing a V-Neck shirt with taking up a colour of a dark red it ran all the way down the beginning of his hand, this wasn’t because it was too big on him but because it was designed like this.

His arms contained four Neon Green coloured glow-bands, something you’d wear at a concert of festival, yet it gave this day a different feeling to it as it seemed to be the only source of light closest to something that glows like the sun. Light bulbs and such were just average things but near to no-one would think about Glow-Bands.

On top of his shirt, which covered up the fact it was a V-Neck lay a jacket which was different to others as it wasn’t worn all over the body but started from half-way to end up to his elbows and near his chin which would mean if he were to breath out his mouth it keep him warm as his breath would be absorbed within the jacket as well as bounce back.
Whilst he wore normal jeans and a light purple belt someone would think he’s some kind of feminine person which isn’t true at all. His trainers were just a normal black colour although containing neon green laces.

All of this was what he was wearing on a day like this, compared to another citizen of Karakura they’d probably just be wearing something like a normal shirt, jeans and trainers, unless you were a shinigami of course or something along this line.

You would of even thought his house or something like that would be green, but Kentaro couldn’t even imagine something like that. He loved nature as he was a nature person, which meant he recycled to the point of where he swore recycling a house would be possible. He didn’t want to see Karakura turn so there was no life altogether, that and nature dying or even the earth blowing up. His house was just a normal house, green was just a colour to him, he didn’t really have a favourite one.

Now, moving on to why Kentaro was actually located on the outskirts of Karakura before. He had been here too many times, it was more of a place where he could come to think if something was on his mind. He was sat on a damp patch of grass which had turned a yellow-ish colour with a neon green flag sat in his hand. It only managed to flicker every once which showed just how still the wind was on a day like this. Of course, you could still breath.

Truth is, he longed for some action…

Of course this didn’t mean he wanted to get in to a fight, because he didn’t do that. It was just so quiet he didn’t really like it. He neither liked it when it was loud, which included the stupid teenagers who kept their music full volume in their roofless cars or walking down the hallway with their MP3 players.

By this, he meant, he wanted life, he wanted to hear a bird sing or a sheep or SOMETHING along those lines. You’d of think he’s a mature person which is true, but not all the way. Something he didn’t understand was strangers, he spoke to everyone and if someone asked him for information, he’d give it out right on the bat. He didn’t like to lie, which was possibly a weakness to him…or perhaps a strength if seen in another way…?

Moving on too what made Kentaro different, and why he had odd clothing. Kentaro was similar to those with Spiritual Awareness, he was a human with powers. But of course, based on his clothing he had powers evolved around something with the colour of neon green. Something that’s stationed on his back is a sheathed sword, just your average Katana. But once awakening his powers the weapon turns neon green whilst that same colour radiates as a energy off the sword.

Why did he carry a sword exactly? Well, he had the power to fight hollows which is something he had been doing for a while now. Little is known about his past and how exactly he started out with these powers. But for now, let’s just say Kentaro’s powers are secret, he has a lot after all.

Going back to where he was, he normally camped up here every now and then with the tent that never seemed to fail him. If you ever see Karakura when the sun is out and the nature shows it’s truly a beautiful place to live in Japan. Especially in the evening where the sunset swept people in awe.

He mainly decided to camp within the Outskirts for the reasons of what the night carried. The stars were magnificent and bright and not to mention some-times the moon was huge, if you took all these to view then you’d be able to see that you were lucky to be alive….unless you were a shinigami then…you were lucky to see Karakura.

Not to mention the fire-flies that lit up the night with a more yellow-touch to it, you may even get the odd red fire-flies some-times.

Well, whatever this dull bored looking day brought, only time would tell. For now, Kentaro could just sit back and relax…until it starts raining.

Come on, let's rock.

-------------------

Kameko.. didn't think she had ever been this happy.. here she was.. out on a walk with her queen.. the only person she could ever admit to.. well.. "loving" in the traditional sense at least.. She had held her feelings in for so very long.. and then.. one day she could do so no longer.. And when she confronted her queen, when she inquired about what the future may hold.. her queen was adamant about wanting both her husband, the king, Otoya, and her, Kameko, in her life. She wanted to be with both of them.. and that in itself was enough for Kameko to get misty-eyed.. she had fallen so far already for this wonderful woman.. could things really become this perfect? She could've sworn she was dreaming.. But.. it felt more real than anything she had experienced before.. Any battle was now invalidated.. any quest was now pointless.. she had the love of her life.. that was all that mattered.

Ba-thump

Her boots gently scraped along the hard concrete.. her eyes traveling through the canopy of trees above them.. the leaves that danced in the wind reflecting the twilight sun in a beautiful symphony of yellows, oranges, reds, and browns. The colors cascaded through the air like a waterfall, keeping the tranquility of the evening close to the hearth as the spectacular aerial ballet graced all who chose to spectate with its beauty and harmonious symmetry.

Ba-thump

Kameko's heart was pounding.. she couldn't bear to look at her queen.. the nervous jittery feeling she had in her heart and mind was unshakable.. This.. this was a dream come true.. wasn't it? So why was she so.. scared? Kameko chuckled at herself, her throat seeming to constrict itself out of.. sheer fear. Or nervousness.. or anxiety? Maybe it was a mixture of the three. She couldn't really tell, currently.. but.. the butterflies she felt making her stomach twist were a good thing, right? It meant that she was with someone she loved. . Right..?

Ba-thump

Kameko gave a sad smile at the ground, her eyes following the cracks in the concrete back and forth as she tried to avoid looking at the figure that walked next to her. The beautiful queen she had served for so long.. What was keeping her from looking? She had to wonder as her eyes slowly crossed the sidewalk, reaching the feet of the one who walked next to her and travelling upward, as slow as she dared. She had no.. legitimate reason to be worried, of course.. it was just her nerves getting to her..

Ba-thump

Slowly, her eyes climbed.. waist.. stomach.. neck..

Ba-thump

Her eyes were right below the face of her love now, the woman she had fallen for so deeply. Here it was.. time to look up and face those beautiful eye--

Ba-thump, ba-thump, ba-thump

BEEP. Ba-thump. BEEP. Ba-thump.

Kameko's eyes fluttered open, she could register what.. one of the noises was.. she knew that the beeping was the alarm she had set.. some infernal human device for waking up "on time" as it were. She saw absolutely no point to it, but.. apparently it worked. Kameko groaned, reaching a hand up from under the silk sheets and placing it on top of the clock, feeling around for the off button she remembered seeing on the display picture. Where was it.. damn it all.. that BEEPING! Kameko snarled, slamming her fist down on the clock, promptly smashing it to bits as the alarm slowly died down, much to Kameko's satisfaction. A new desire to sleep overtook the sugiura as she rolled on the bed, facing the opposite direction of the destroyed clock and closing her eyes. Time to get an hour or two more of sl--

Ba-thump

Oh for the love of christ. Kameko groaned, rolling onto her back and sitting up, her silk sheets hanging on to her naked form by the shoulder as she looked up at the ceiling, realizing that the source of the banging was from above her, where, after quite a bit of research, she had learned that there was a family of four who currently lived there. A single mom and three kids. Pathetic children, running around like animals. Kameko snarled slightly before collapsing backwards onto the bed, reaching her hands under the lace pillow that her head was resting on and lifting both ends, pressing them hard against her ears to try and muffle out the idiotic noise. It worked.. sort of. She couldn't exactly HEAR the noise anymore, but she could FEEL it now. Reverberating through her queen-sized mattress, mocking her, violently shaking her to intentionally disturb her sleep.

Fuck it, Kameko thought as she slowly resigned herself to releasing the pillow, letting it fall back into place, albeit slowly, as she wearily pulled the sheets off of herself. Kameko sat up, stretching her arms into the air and yawning, her long green cascading behind her and stopping around her waist, moving back and forth slowly as she stood from the bed, noting the pins-and-needles feeling of a limb that was still asleep shooting up her right leg as she put the pressure of standing on it. Damn, must've slept wrong..

She blinked a few times, rubbing her eyes to clear the sleep away before looking around the apartment. A simple morning routine, make sure she didn't get drunk and break everything. Alright. The small-ish apartment consisted of only the one room. The entirety of the apartment was the one room, save the bathroom, which left a lot of space in the middle. There was her bed, on the west side. The most elegant thing in the room, lace and silk adorning it. The large dresser containing all her clothing was standing next to the bed. Oak, double doored. On the north side, the kitchen. A stove, an oven, cabinets, a sink (the faucet itself being almost completely white from all the limescale), and a refrigerator (always stocked with what Kameko wanted, never quite with what she needed, hence her constant grocery runs). On the east side, a door that leads to the bathroom, a simple 10 x 12 room with a stand-up shower/bath combo with a see-through curtain, a sink and counter with a hairdryer, a razor, tissues, soap, and deoderant resting on it, and a toilet, white, padded. Also on the east side was a roof-to-ceiling see-through door that led out to a 7 x 10 balcony, showing an amazing view of the city, especially at night. There was also a tv, 42" plasma that sat on a small stand against the wall between the two doors. On the south side of her apartment was a coat rack, the door that led out into the hallway of the twelve-story complex (she lived on the eleventh, just for the nice view, but the kids above got annoying.). Smack dab in the middle of the room was a sofa, about 2 yards wide, that reclined, facing the TV. Black, old leather, comfortable as hell. Kameko nodded, making sure everything was in place before walking drowsily to the shower, pulling back the curtain and turning the water on, cranking it up to the place she had memorized as being the heat she was comfortable with and letting the bath water spray out down the drain while she examined herself in the mirror, still trying to wake up.

She was, of course, Kameko Madoka-Sugiura. Knight for Misaiko Sugiura, Queen of the Eastern Clan, of whom she had just had dreamed. Sadly, everything from her confessing her love to the queen, all the way to the walk, was part of the dream. Kameko gave a small sigh, she was such a coward.. unable to even profess how much she loved the only person who gave her purpose. It was.. pathetic. She looked her own body up and down in the mirror. Five foot, nine inch height, check, she hadn't grown at all since some time last year. She poked her stomach, a small imprint being left on the pale skin which quickly faded. Kameko sighed, she was only a hundred and twenty nine pounds. Really skinny for her height. Some would even say scrawny, and that could certainly apply, as a bit of her weight came from her C cup breasts anyway. However, her build was a deceptive one, as she carried more strength than most male sugiura in the muscles she had. It was all in her power, really. Kameko looked straight at herself in the mirror, making eye contact with her reflection. The pale, golden eyes met themselves for only a second before Kameko turned around to check the water. She slipped her hand under the faucet and felt it, perfect. She slid her hand over another dial in the wall, turning it all the way as the bath water stopped and the shower switched on, the water blasting down into the tub beneath. Kameko pulled back the curtain further and stepped in, closing the curtain and facing the wall opposite the showerhead. The hot water, not quite scalding, but close enough to tingle, hit Kameko's shoulders and upper back directly, spraying over her shoulders and against the wall. The hot spray had.. a bit of a sleeping agent type of quality to it.. Kameko could feel herself dozing off, even standing up like this.. She could vaguely make out the shampoo and soap dispensers on the wall next to her, and she shook her head to try and wake herself up. Come on, Kameko, pull it together. The day has started, it's time to face it. Resignedly, she raised a hand under the soap dispenser, raising the other hand to the small, cream-colored button and pushing it in, rewarded by a large dollop of the red soap dropping into her hand. It took her about five minutes to finish applying the soap and rinsing it off. As she repeated the dolloping process for the shampoo, she pumped a few extra helpings of it into her hand. pushing the lot of it onto the very top of her head and rubbing it in, allowing the large, foamy, helmet-like mass of shampoo build up before sticking her head into the water, letting the shampoo naturally flow down her long hair and down the drain. She had discovered quite a while ago that this was the most effective method for washing it. After close to ten minutes, she was satisfied and sure that all the shampoo had been washed out. Reaching for both dials on the shower, she turned them both into their respective "off" positions, and pulled the curtain back once more, stepping out into open air and grabbing two towels from the rack on the wall. One wrapped tightly around her hair, suspended vertically in an ideal drying position, and another wrapped around her body at the armpit, the elongated towel ending around her knee-area, which she held in place with one hand, using the other hand to open the door, walking out into the main room and closing the bathroom door behind her, leaving the lights on as she always did. Going green was not a concept she was familiar with, really.

Now, why would a knight for a clan that was so inhuman be slumming it in an apartment complex owned, operated, and inhabited by only humans? Simple; she was on stakeout. Part of being a knight was watching potential threats, trying to discern who would be best to keep watch on, and who could be left alone unless they tried anything rash. One such target had been assigned to her over the course of this week, but she had already discerned that he would be no threat. At least.. not for a while anyway. Just a punk with no idea what he was doing. Kameko had discovered a while ago that it was really inconvenient moving around randomly during stakeouts such as this last week had been, so quite a while ago, she had bought this apartment (using some yen given to her by a rich gentleman who had wished for her "company" one night. Needless to say he lost more than just his money. Kameko didn't appreciate intolerable pigs.) and had been using it as her base of operations, of sorts, for any stakeouts since.

Kameko stretched, waiting for a few minutes by idly standing around before removing the towel from her head, tossing it onto the couch and pulling the one off of her body, tossing that one to the couch as well. She really didn't have any need for them now that she was dry. She wasn't too worried about being seen naked in HER apartment. That would just be silly. Crossing to the dresser, she pulled out a white robe with buckles and black bands across the front that made it look eerily like a strait jacket. For the lower half, Kameko chose a pair of tight black pants that accentuated her figure and her noble air stupendously. Below that, white socks, black boots. Kameko leaned forward, whipping her head back to toss her hair neatly over her shoulder as her bangs fell over her forehead, covering the bird-shaped sigil that hid most of her powers. No reason to scare all the humans, was there? Well, she thought, guess it was time to face the day. Grabbing her key off of the night stand, she walked to, opened, and walked out of, the front door, slipping the key into a small breast-pocket on her shirt before closing and locking the door.

Proceeding down the hallway, she took care in not letting her boots fall too heavily on the floor. It was still early, and there could be people asleep in the rooms on either side of her. She may be a bit of a hard case, but she was still courteous. She sighed, even from down the hall she could hear the banging noise from upstairs. Damn kids. After about fifteen rooms passed, Kameko reached the elevator, pressing the button to find, luckily enough, that it was already on her floor. She walked in and pressed the button for the ground floor, waiting patiently, leaned against the wall, for the elevator to reach the bottom. After an agonizingly long amount of time, the soft "ding" of the elevator and a rush of steel as the doors opened indicated that she had arrived. She strode out into the lobby, proceeding towards the doors, grinning at the "woosh" as the automatic doors swished open on either side, allowing her passage through. Once entering the morning air, she sighed contently. This was her favorite place to be, outside, in the open. She inhaled deeply, taking in the crisp scent of downtown karakura's early morning.

Kameko sighed a bit, taking the short trip out of town from the complex to the outskirts. Since the stakeout was, in fact, no longer going on, she would have to return home soon.. She gave a soft sigh, that's what she was afraid of. She didn't really want to go back. Not that she didn't like being there, or serving her queen, she did. But under those circumstances.. She couldn't bear to be there for too long at a time.. watching Misaiko day by day.. protecting her.. and yet unable to do anything about her feelings. Out of what, cowardice? She groaned internally, kicking at the ground and slipping her hands into the pocket of her robe as she walked. Eventually, she saw someone else. A male, by the looks of it, sitting in the grass. Kameko didn't bother feeling for his reiatsu signature, she didn't care who or what he was right now. She walked to him, sitting in the grass a few inches from him and staring in the same general direction. "You contemplating how much life needs to give you a rest as I am? Or is your life just so fantastic that you can afford anecdotes like this on a daily basis?" Kameko gave a sarcastic chuckle, crossing her legs and picking at the grass by her body, pulling a few strands of it out of the dirt and tossing it into the wind, watching the green dance against the breeze with a regretful glint in her eye.
