Reasons For Upgrading: Because I have been granted Shikai, these are the abilities for it.
What Are You Upgrading:
Basically, complete overhaul of the Zan section so it will now look like this.

Reiatsu Color: Pink/Purple depending on the part of the Zan with the strongest influence at the time. (if sealed it will generally be random which is channeled)

Zanpakutô Spirit Personality:
The hyperactive half: She is always in a good mood and easily excited. It is almost impossible to see her without a smile on her face. She is kind at heart, but she has her quirks. The most notable attribute of hers is how easily excited she gets. When a battle is beginning she gets herself pumped up, and wants to go all out. She will talk to Snopy mid battle too, though she controls herself enough not to distract him at a critical moment. She loves action and can easily be described as trigger happy. Her belief on use of energy is to unleash it in powerful bursts, in powerful energy attacks.

The calm half: She is always serious. Though she understands humor, she isn’t capable of it herself, unless one counted her making fun of Snopy or her other half. She has a calm and collected personality, and, like Snopy, is almost impossible to anger. When it comes to battle, she simply wishes to just get the job done, as efficiently as possible. She shows much more concern for safety than her counterpart, and as such has a very different view. She believes in using energy to constantly augment part of one’s power, slowly and efficiently, rather than launching a gigantic blast of energy that could easily miss.

The two halves constantly fight with each other. They both think they are right and scoff at the ways of the other. They in the end, are capable of getting along seeing as they both care for Snopy and his welfare. However, with the constant arguing there is an effect on their powers. The main power of the Zanpakutō is lost while they are fighting amongst themselves. If Snopy was able to get them to work together more often, then...

Inner World: Snopy’s inner world is divided into a few segments. The main two segments are cut half down the middle. On the west side there is a pink hue in the sky. This side is more controlled by the more serious half of his Zanpakutō. On the East side there is a purple hue, representing the more hyperactive (and trigger-happy) half. The reason for this is simply the fact that the two halves of the Zanpakutō don’t get along. As a whole, Snopy’s inner world resembles the wilderness. There are patches of forest, rivers, occasionally lakes, even marshes if one was to search hard enough. Snopy’s inner world is vast, as there is quite a bit of wilderness to be explored.

Though the wilderness transitions smoothly from one side to the next, it is not so with the weather. In the sky, the colors do not fade as they approach, they simply collide, a line where the color suddenly shifts. On the ground this is also evident. On the calmer side, weather appears to generally be calm, the breeze is gentle, and the rivers flow smoothly. However, the moment they cross that invisible line, to the more active side, it becomes the opposite. The wind is often quite powerful, the weather is somewhat unpredictable, and the river instantly begins to flow violently.

To top it off, to the north, there is an area that seems much different. The sky is much darker, the lighting itself is less, and there is a strange dark feel about it. Both halves of the Zanpakutō agree that something sinister is brewing, but that any attempt to stop it would likely be futile. As such, they avoid the area and advise Snopy to do the same. (that area is where the yet to reveal itself inner hollow is going to be).

Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance: The Zanpakutō's blade is the size of a regular katana and is a deep black. The hand guard is like that of a regular katana. The handle is black with pink colored cloth around it. The second blade is the same, but with purple cloth on the handle.

Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities:
Increased Perception: Snopy’s time from being a marksman when alive tuned a small portion of his spiritual energy to his various senses. The energy empowers his eyes a bit, allowing him to see a little further and clearer. It empowers his hearing so he can hear even the most minute sounds, even someone stepping across soft ground. His sense of touch is increased, allowing him to feel slight vibrations in his feet and through the air (though this also increases pain felt by just a little bit). His sense of smell is increased a bit so if he picks up a smell, he can tell what direction it came from. Due to its uselessness in combat, his sense of taste is unaffected.

Release: Let the energy flow, Tsuin Megami Reijingu

Shikai Description: One of the blades does not change in appearance, it simply gets about 4 inches longer. This is the Katana with the Pink at the hilt. The other however, morphs itself into a small black pistol. All across the gun are almost veins, lines running along all parts of the gun. These “veins” will glow a deep purple before fading back into its regular color. This glow and fade almost gives it a futuristic look. The shape of the pistol is similar in design to Coyote Starrk’s (until I find a pic of a different one I like to describe shape).

Shikai Abilities:

Energy Augmented Sword: The sword Snopy uses in Shikai is constantly covered in a layer of energy. This is due to the sword being the manifestation of his Zanpakutō’s controlled side, which believes in constant augmentation. Due to Snopy's only recent acquisition of Shikai it is rather weak at the moment. This causes the blade to have a layer of energy that improves its ability to cut slighty. This means that the blade can tear into the flesh a bit more easily and even helps for penetrating protective layers of energy (like aiding in breaking through part of a hierro for instance), though again only a bit. At the same time, Snopy’s lower left arm is also covered by a thin layer of energy, lessening the damage done to that arm, if only slightly (this will never extend past his left arm).

Shikai Pistol: The pistol can fire off blasts of energy out of it, ranging from small to large depending on the power put into it. The pistol is a manifestation of the Zanpakutō’s excitable side that believes in using this kind of force. Once again Snopy's only recent acquisition of Shikai leaves its capabilities rather low, only able to make up to medium sized blasts that are moderately damaging.

Kidō Augmentation: In Shikai Snopy gets a small (perhaps tiny is a better word) boost to his Kidō ability. It isn't much and is barely noticeable, but it is there. This may be due to the fact he is naturally skilled at Kidō so his Zanpakutō shows it, or maybe simply the fact that it is an energy type Zanpakutō. Either way, Kidō in Shikai pack a little more of a punch.

Energy Manipulation: Very little is known about this power as of yet. It was only briefly seen and mentioned when his Zanpakutō used a small form of it. Any attempts to emulate it by Snopy have been met with failure. So far all that has been seen is a small bit of energy condensed in his Zanpakutō Spirit's hand and messed around with a bit. It is possible that the ability requires the two halves of his Zanpakutō to be working together, seeing as it only worked for a brief period where they weren't fighting. However, all is currently speculation as no other information was discovered. *This power is meant to be learned later, not just as he gets Shikai, hence me mentioning it but not truly giving it to him. Though him gaining an simplistic version of it isn't far off
