Moonless Hunting [Kanae, Ryouko]

She didn't believe her? The threat of death that the knife at her throat presented, regardless of how it might be overcome, sent chills down her spine and through her extremities. It was the truth but Captain Nagoshi did not believe her regardless. She didn't know how she got here or what she had done. It was all a hazy dream which had disappeared at the abrupt awakening.

But if she didn't do something to sway Kanae's judgment then she'd keep hurting her.

"I killed them. I don't know why or how but I killed them. Please stop."

Ryouko stammered out, hoping that confessing would save her the horrible situation. The future didn't matter at the moment when she just wanted to escape this situation.

Looking down at the pitiful creature at her feet, Kanae contemplated what to do with her. Abusing and torturing the young woman was fun, but her apparent inability to die was an annoyance. After all, she lived to kill; an immortal creature was antithetical to everything she stood for. Then again, there were many ways to test Ryouko's regeneration and Kanae found herself excited at such a prospect.

Still, she couldn't stand here all day murdering this girl. Eventually night would turn to day and people would wander out from the safety of their homes, threatening to bare witness to her games.

Kanae began walking in circles around the huddled Ryouko as she spoke "That's right little girl, you did. You butchered them. Mercilessly. Wrathfully. "Please stop"? The desperate pleas of murderers are unconvincing in the face of justice. Now..." Kanae reached down and placed her left hand under Ryouko's chin, tilting her head up to look into her eyes then brought her right hand down in a brutal slap "...explain why you're able to heal severe wounds without tiring." her voice remained steady despite the viciousness of her actions.
