Sakurai, Kazumi.» Titles:
February 8th, 2399.» Age:
Lunaris Academy.» Appearance Picture: » Appearance Description:
She’s a pretty girl, no doubt about that, and by the looks of things, Kazumi is the sort of girl that likes to maintain an immaculate appearance. Her fair-skinned but pale complexion is without a blemish and is smooth as well as soft to the touch. Her blonde hair, which is long, is thoroughly combed and/or brushed, and lots of care goes into maintaining it’s shine and silky appearance. Her bangs are considerably long, so much so that they often obscure her vision, and though that can be an annoyance she likes how it frames her face. Her eyebrows are surprising black as are her eyelashes which may have people thinking that her hair color is naturally black and that she simply dyed her hair, but that’s not the case. She isn’t completely sure why she has black eyelashes and eyebrows, but she can assure people that her hair is naturally blonde. She has aqua blue eyes that stand out against her pale complexion. Coupled with her height of one hundred and sixty centimeters, her weight of forty-six kilograms, and her voluptuous figure, Kazumi may be consider a model if not a supermodel.
As for her attire, Kazumi is usually seen in her school uniform which has a color theme of white and blue with a hint of orange. It consist of a long-sleeved, white shirt with a blue sailor-style collar attached to the neck of the shirt which connects a thin orange tie that is laced through a loop at the end of the shirt, the tie being noticeably longer than the shirt. Paired with the white shirt and blue sailor-style collar is a blue skirt that is thigh-length, which would show a lot of skin if not for the long black socks that all females are required to wear along with a pair of brown slip-on shoes. During the summer there’s the option of a half-sleeved white shirt, but Kazumi rarely wears it because she prefers the longer sleeved shirt. There are instances when Kazumi wears something other then her school uniform, yet those instances are rare, but no matter what she wears, her hair shall always be tied with a red ribbon.
She shall deny it until the end of time, but Kazumi has a rather short temper to say the least, and getting on her nerves with foolish antics isn’t all that hard to accomplish. She does her utmost best to control her temper, especially during discussions for she doesn’t want them to devolve into cavemen discussion where the participates beat each other over the head with clubs until someone comes out on top, most commonly referred to as screaming matches. She also tries to keep her temper in check due to her status, and she doesn’t want to be known as the sort of person prone to losing her temper, though this is very hard for her. With a reputation to maintain and her desire to not be seen as the problematic teenager, Kazumi has an excellent degree of self-control, but there’s only so much she can handle before she finally explodes.
Kazumi hates conflict and does her best to avoid causing any which is also why she also controls her temper as much as she does. Though she isn’t above getting into a screaming match with somebody that has worn out her patience, she does try to walk away from arguments before they escalate that far, she isn’t the sort of person to get into a physical fight with somebody. She, for one, knows that she cannot fight and she also believes that fighting over something that many may consider petty would ruin not only her reputation, but that of her family. And since she feels like it’s her duty to maintain the family reputation, she avoids fights at all cost. With her openly avoiding physical fights, some may see her as a coward and she allows them to believe that, seeing absolutely no reason to change their mind on the matter since she doesn’t socialize with those sort of people. With her actively avoiding conflict, one can only assume that she isn’t the sort of person who will attempt to defuse a situation, but she’s certainly the type of person to walk away.
With that being said, Kazumi is certainly the type of person bases their decisions upon how it will effect the family in the end. She knows her parents has a reputation to maintain, and she refuses to be the one that tarnishes it with silly antics. Fighting is out of the question, arguments that aren’t calm in anyway is to be avoided, and she’s to conduct herself as a lady of the Sakurai household would. She is respectful to all she encounters even if said person has managed to tick her off or doesn’t sit well with her. When in the company of her parents, she hardly speaks unless she’s spoken to, something that had been drilled into her head since she could fully comprehend the words of her parents. Children are seen and not heard within her household, and so it’s maintained within the home and when she’s out in public with her parents. She speaks softly and clearly, not allowing room for her words to be misinterpreted by anyone. She’s also very docile in the company of her parents.
Yet when not in the company of her parents, Kazumi is a pretty upbeat and sociable person. She is rather cheerful when in the company of friends and isn’t prone to random bouts of depression. She prides herself on being kind to all who cross her path with the exception of those who have landed on her bad side, but even then she shall treat them with a certain degree of decency. She isn’t the sort of person to allow herself to be walked all over, and if she has a problem with somebody they shall be the first to know for she isn’t the sort of teenager who talks ill of folks behind their back but doesn’t have the backbone to say such things to the person’s face. Though she does have a short temper, as stated earlier, she has a good deal of self-control which is applied to just about every aspect of her life. She is extremely blunt, brutally so, and isn’t the sort of person to beat around the bush; if feelings are hurt in the end, then so be it. Though Kazumi may not lie often, she’s very capable of dancing around the truth but she only does so when it’s absolutely necessary and usually the presence of malice is absent.
She is very confident in her own abilities and takes pride in what she does. Being the sort of person whom seems to have an infinite amount of energy, Kazumi busies herself with physical and mental activities whenever she can. Boredom doesn’t enter her life frequently, but when it does she shall find just about anything to do in order to keep it away from settling since she doesn’t like being bored. She is responsible as well as dependable, and is the sort of person that her friends can go to with just about anything without being judged. Kazumi is a very studious person when it comes to learning languages, and due to her intelligence, is able to complete her homework with ease. She cares a lot about her physical appearance and does her utmost best to appear immaculate at all times. There are times when Kazumi can be selfish and down right inconsiderate, acting like a spoilt brat and wanting to get her way, but such instances are few and when they do occur, she quickly adjust her attitude. Anybody can be her friend, race, gender, species, past actions, etc., doesn’t effect who she believes can and cannot be her friend. But don’t attempt to lie or manipulate this child for that’s the easiest way for one to find themselves on her bad side, and getting out of that side can take forever since she doesn’t forgive folks so easily.
Children are seen and not heard, something that had been hammered into the mind of Kazumi Sakurai since she could remember by not only her parents but her sister as well. Born as the second daughter of businessman father, Rise, and lawyer mother, Hana, a lot had been expected of her since a young age. She may not have been under the direct care of her parents, both far too busy with work to spare their daughter a second glance, but she was still raised properly. Her primary caretaker was her nanny, a woman by the name of Anita, an elderly woman that had been a friend of her father’s mother and the only person the man trusted to keep a close eye on his children. Her primary playmate was Kagami, the girl that was three years her senior and her older sister, an individual that she always looked up to for guidance before she entered high school. Her exposure to the people who lived outside of the walls of her large home was kept to a minimum, her father not wanting any tainted ideas to enter the minds of his children, and thus a large portion of her memories of when she was young involved her nanny, sister, the servants who worked at the house, and occasionally her parents.
Like her older sister, Kazumi was born with a good deal of intelligence and the ability to learn stuff quickly. Though unlike her sister who had a mind for numbers and thus had calculation skills that rivaled even a computer, she had a mind for languages and thus could learn to speak a language fluently in record time and with the utmost ease. Her nanny noticed this and thus had provided her with numerous books that helped her build her arsenal whilst her father would assign tutors to her. When she had been five years old, she had been sent to school, and like her older sister, she performed remarkably, so much so that her teachers had thought about advancing her a grade or two so that she wasn’t bored during class, but it was something that Kazumi didn’t want. She had friends in her current class, and though she would had loved to advance a couple grades so that she could be challenged, she had no intentions of leaving her buddies behind. So she was kept at her grade level, though she would skip a single grade during elementary school, which explains the reason for her current status as a senior in high school instead of a junior.
Of course after elementary school, she had been placed into lower secondary school, middle school, along with her friends. Three years was spent in that grade, and besides making more friends and defining her personality whilst also upholding her family reputation, nothing of note had occurred. Unless one were to count that one time her friends and herself had accidentally sent a teacher to the hospital due to their first prank going wrong. All students were questioned for the administration wanted to know who had done it, but neither Kazumi or her group were suspected for they had covered their trail well. Yet they never did another prank again in fear of injuring somebody else and not getting away with it like they had that time around, though they certainly talked about doing another prank. With lower secondary done, it was time to prepare for the entrance exams, and she had picked Lunar Academy as her higher secondary school. Not only because her father wished for her to join that school like her sister had, but also because the school was suppose to be amongst the best within the country. So lots of time had been placed into ‘studying’, and after the exams had come and gone, she received a letter in the mail detailing her acceptance.
Her sister had congratulated her, and Kazumi had been delighted that she had been accepted, then again she had nothing to worry about in the first place. And thus she began high school which had taken some adjusting to since it was far different then her other schools, but nothing that she couldn’t handle. Over the course of three years, she has gotten herself involved in a good deal of after school activities, such as track and cheer, in order to keep herself occupied. She has thought of getting a part time job, but had ultimately decided against it since she figured that it would only cut into the time she had with her friends, and that simply wouldn’t do. School itself is easy for her, and since she’s going to graduate soon, she has begun looking at colleges as she figures out which is best suited for her.
Kazumi is a polygot which is a simple way of saying that she speaks multiple languages fluently. Learning new languages comes easy to the teenager, and with her fascination with languages, she shall continue to build the list of languages she can speak fluently. At the moment she knows English, Japanese, Russian, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Veitnamese, Greek, Indonesian, Latin, and Bulgarian. She’s currently learning Polish and Italian. » Intellectual:
Kazumi is extremely intelligent, though with the school she attends that much would be obvious. With an IQ level of 174, and the ability to easily understand what’s taught to her and even apply it, one may wonder why she waste her time going to high school when she could have gone off to college and perhaps even be close to graduating from that institution. According to the teenager, her intellect is insignificant compared to a lot of other people, and since she seems to be living in a world full of geniuses, she doesn’t deem her intellect to be impressive in the slightest. But she cannot deny the fact that she’s far more advanced than her classmates. » Athletic:
Kazumi has developed a very athletic body through the various activities that she does on a regular basis, such as gymnastic and track. With a short background in gymnastic, but a major background in cheerleading, she’s extremely nimble and flexible, capable of bending her body into the most uncomfortable looking positions with ease. Flips, cartwheels, etc., comes as second nature to the teenager. She’s also faster then she looks though with her being on the track team she really has no option. To maintain her spot on her track team, Kazumi runs often and due to her nature, is always trying to surpass her limits. With the previously stated activities, she has a lot of endurance and isn’t easily exhausted. As for her strength, well she probably hits harder than most girls her age, but it isn’t anything to be impressed about. » Spiritual Awareness:
Kazumi is able to see spirits.

Irritation, an emotion that has been plaguing Kazumi throughout her day, an emotion that prevented her from enjoying the little time she had with her friends before her after school activities started. She had since forgotten the root of her agitation, but though she had forgotten what had caused the emotion that produced a menacing aura around her being, the emotion was still there. She had been combing through her memories for most of the day, paying no mind to the lessons being taught to her class as well as herself, the words of her homeroom teacher insignificant since she already knew all that was to be taught this semester and next semester. With her intelligence, which she didn’t consider impressive mind you, she could had been finishing college or university and thus far ahead of the individuals that occupied classroom D-3. But she had opted out of skipping several grounds in favor of spending time with the friends that she had made, though she did skip one grade when she had been in primary school and that was the only reason she was a senior high school student instead of a junior.
She had no desire to be like her sister, an individual three years her senior who had a mind for numbers and extraordinary calculation skills though that wasn’t the point. The point was that her sister graduated from high school when she was fifteen and had graduated from college three years later with a degree in engineering. Due to her sister’s advancement and the fast pace that she was developing, she hadn’t the time to make friends and thus was a bored nineteen year old that didn’t need to worry about school but was rather lonely. Then again, her sister wasn’t actually the easiest person to approach, so that could also be a reason why the female had no friends, but that was of no concern to Kazumi.
Yet her failure to pay attention to the lesson was of no importance, at least not to Kazumi, and the teacher hardly noticed her looking off into space, for her blue eyes were fixated on her teacher’s form as if she was engrossed and what said teacher was talking about. But truth be told she was attempting to figure out what had put her into such a sour mood that even her friends were finding her hard to approach. Usually she wouldn’t expend energy on figuring something as futile as what had irritated her this morning, but her friends were concerned and asking questions, and Kazumi hated not having an answer for them. The ever so popular ‘I don’t know’ or shrug of the shoulders wouldn’t appease her friends and she felt like they deserved a proper answer since they were her friends. But she was finding it difficult to remember what had occurred earlier which was only making her already foul mood fouler. She sighed deeply as she pulled herself out of her memories, closing her eyes as she propped her elbow on the table, a frown crossing her face. She was officially annoyed now though she did not allow for it to show, having no desire to distract the rest of the classroom with her less than friendly stare. Besides, it was the last class for the day and it would be ending in-
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, yet the students refrained from moving as their teacher announced their assignment for the night before dismissing them. Collecting her belongings, which wasn’t much since she kept most if not all of her books in her locker, Kazumi walked out of the classroom, rushing down the halls as she headed for her locker. She had about twenty minutes of relaxation before she needed to head for cheer class, and she had every intentions of getting her homework down so that her books could remain locked up in her locker for the night. Though as she approached her locker, she knew that such a plan would not happen today, her friends having gathered around her locker to pester her some more. She paused for a brief second, and for a flitting moment she thought about retreating to some other location until her friends decided to move away from her locker, but when one waved at her, she knew that was not an option. With a sigh, she braced herself for the questions that were to come and was thankful that she had cheer today.
