Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count:

Reclusiveness was difficult when you were royalty, a conundrum that plagued both of the denizens of this remote Bahamanian Island. Of course, privacy was not Kamui's only objective. These Islands were conveniently located near a potential point and as such, Kamui had some scouting he needed to do. That was, of course, until he felt a familiar presence. Kamui was expecting to, reasonably, be completely and utterly alone on these islands. As such, he was dressed appropriately. Surprisingly, the world, this one and others, was completely devoid of photo graphic evidence of him wearing a bathing suit or any kind of swimwear whatsoever. As such, Kamui had taken, either out of necessity or in protest to the complete and utter lack of internet fan girls providing content for his inevitable beach episode, the man had taken to wearing nothing but a loincloth for his jaunt through the Bahamanian wilderness. Of course, that wilderness was mostly sand, sand, more sand, seagull poop, sand and he was relatively sure he was a racist somewhere but he could neither confirm nor deny their presence. Thankfully however, theirs was not the presence that he both felt and now sought out. He had a much more interesting prey to hunt.

He was sure, if Rose's skills had not miraculously waned from having holes punched in both of her knee caps and a similar hole come dangerously close to punching through her brain, that she had noticed him around the same time he had noticed her. He wasn't sure if she would play "hard to get" and stay in her little hole, or if she would actually prefer to seek him out, but in all the fields in life where Kamui was patient and calculating, women was not one of them. He was in no rush to see what Rose would do given the information and was, instead, rather intent on bringing the fight to her as it were. It did not take Kamui very long to find her. The Bahamas were not especially large comparatively to the last place they had met one another, and even less so for beings such as them.

Kamui, strolling along as naked as the FCC would allow, managed to find the secluded, but not especially hidden silver door along the sand. He supposed a being as powerful as Rose that also sat alongside Titans such as Mana didn't really have much need for subtlety. It wasn't something Kamui could truly relate to, he was by nature a very subtle and subversive beast, often preferring to be shrouded in a veil of lies and misdirection than blatantly announcing himself to the world, but he could still admire the capacity and willingness to do so. Then again, Rose was not really hurting for ways to impress him. Kamui let a soft grin form on his lips as he wondered what exactly to do next. It was a complicated question. The man had to weigh a desire to feign courtesy and wait to be invited in, which sounded exciting in and of itself just to see how eager Rose was and just how patient she was willing to be. At the same time, Kamui was nothing if not nosy and the prospect of taking a little unsupervised jaunt through Rose's home away from the home away from home sounded a little too interesting. He felt her nearby, he probably wouldn't get away with much, but he'd be damned if his tendency to be the most annoying prick in the world wasn't endearing...to nearly everyone, sort of.

Thus, a plan was formed with utmost daring, complexity, and ingenuity that would make Athena herself jealous...which was impressive since she wasn't real and making an imagination jealous was outright impossible, but doubting Kamui's ability to perform the impossible and to fill a whole lot of space and time doing so was a recipe for disaster. The young man dropped his center of gravity, sitting on the balls of his feet and letting his loin cloth flop a little unceremoniously in the wind as he watched the door to Rose's not so secret but still secret hide away with a familiar empty look of contentedness. It was the same passive mask of confidence and childish glee that he had grown to be quite synonymous with. And with that, he would wait patiently, silently reminiscing on their previous encounter.

Kamui had met many interesting creatures in his travels, and the things he always found the most interesting were people who he could genuinely consider rivals. Of course, those people technically didn't exist. Arrogance was as natural to Kamui as breathing and actually considering someone as his equal was simply never something that was going to happen. However, a certain few had reached as close to that respect as they could. So far, Rose was a member of an exclusive club of two. Sasha could rival him in certain pursuits, but that was a different situation than Rose's. Rose was the first being he found that could process the world like him, who had the ability to break down the world around them in to code, to logically dissect the fabric of the universe. It was a very Sugiuran trait, but even they did not always break it down to the level that Rose and Kamui pursued. That was what made her so interesting to him. That and he was a sucker for a pretty face and Rose certainly had one of those.

While most of the planet was in shock, awe, confusion, excitement and whatever other wild emotion you can throw out over the incident on The Moon; Rose's own little world seemed to be burning with many vivid colors. Even if the bitter taste of melancholy lingered in her mouth, it couldn't overpower the warm sensation of creativity and ingenuity burning within her mind. There was a sense of happiness, relaxation and elation had as she seemed to be getting lost further and further in her projects, invention and engineering ideas to further The Arrancar race.

It is why she seemed to favor moving further and further away from others as it was so easy to get lost within the whirlwind of her minds raging storm of abstract thought. So long as this burning sensation was held in place, The Primera Espada almost didn't feel a need for others and was content in her solitude so long as she could create, construct and bring theory to life indefinitely through her knowledge, skill and gifts as one of the brightest pioneering minds The Hollow Race had to offer.

However, in spite of all this wondrous jubilation, there was still a more concrete and objective reason as to why she set-up base here. It seemed that the higher-ups within Shadow Falls were moving ahead of schedule with their plans concerning the mess The Demon Queen and The Shadow Throne were interested in achieving. While most of the plan started to become known to the world, the greatest extents of it's depths were known only to hose with power and command in Shadow Fall. And, in the case of Rose, it was her duty to watch out for this oh-so sensitive information and the effects it would have on the world.

There was a lot of vague intel on the cusp of her lips, but there were was a lot of interesting conflict to come soon enough with whatever those pair of crazed demons were up to. Though, in spite of the grand-scale of this plan, it didn't matter much to Rose in the long-run as she was content with the world being thrown into the fire. After all, so long as she was thrust into conflict, her science, her engineering and her power and mind could all evolve, advance and ascend to greater depths so long as she was constantly being pushed. It's that spark that she missed and it was a flame she needed to rekindle within herself if The Royal Mischevang was going to get anywhere in this life.

So, as her sensory equipment were detecting and scanning the many sorts of abnormalities washing up on the shores of this beach, Rose saw fit to take a simple stroll across the beach and enjoy the warm air. Since not many residents seemed to live on the coastline, it was almost as if she had the entire world to herself. With the bare soles of her feet tapping against the warm sands, the cherry-eyed Espada seemed as content as could be in her isolation and solitude.

[Refer to image if you need a visual reference as to what Rose looks like right now]

In fact, this carefree nature seemed to reflect ever so heavily in the attire that the woman adorned herself. There was nothing but a thin, white dress which seemed to to extend over her body. It exposed quite a bit of her baby smooth skin. All the while, with every step she took, the jingle-jangle of the woman's brackets, ankle jewelry, necklace and breast pieces seemed to echo as she made her way back to the massive dome of a silver base none too far from where she was at.

Yet, she was in for an unexpected surprise when her senses picked up the spiritual pulse of a certain half-breeds energy signature. It was in that moment that there was a slight flutter in her a chest, a brief wave of warmth which flowed through her spine and a sense of nervously happy anticipation which flowed in her mind. She wasn't quite sure what was going on here, as she often didn't like confronting a lot of her affectionate feelings for those outside of her family, but there was something which seemed to keep her engaged with the man known as Kamui.

Perhaps it was the fact he was to blame for this new sense of re-enlightened perception Rose was living under. It was quite nice to begin feeling her mind's ambiguous nature begin to return to her. And, perhaps from that, there is where the attraction started to come in her subconscious mind. Consciously? Rose was denying it up and down because of the fact it all felt like a flustered twister of conflicted emotion. Thinking back to the sense of touch in the moment they shared towards the end of their little explosive dance on the moon, that tingly feeling of another touching her body still rang true and she wasn't sure how to really express that sentiment. After all, up until that point, she had not felt the touch of another in quite the many months and it was an impacting moment for The Primera Espada.

Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuufffffffffffffffffffff

Rose's face briefly resembled that of a blowfish when she started to get lost in all these mushy feelings. There was a sense of frustration since it all felt weird, but there was a definite part of her that wanted to explore this more. As, despite her feisty temper, the woman wasn't quite sure how to really pursue this sort of thing. It had been a long time since she sparked an interest in a male and she needed to re-imagine the whole tango between the sexes. After all, the closet she felt to a sense of -- attraction -- was with the male known as Ruvik during the time she spent trying to patch him up and make him stronger. However, that was still a waning and faint interest of attraction.

This one -- was different.

Fuck it.

There really wasn't nothing to gain by standing here. The best course of action was to follow through with her own usual gung-ho nature and just grab life by the horns. Therefore, she'd utilize her sondio in order to appear behind the male. For a moment, she could almost let out a laugh at what the male was wearing. But -- she wasn't exactly in the place to judge based on what she was wearing. Granted, she figured she had the excuse of not expecting visitors to back her silliness up.

Rambling aside, Rose decided to go ahead flick the back of his head and greet him:

"Well, well, well. Looks like Tarzan decided to pay me a visit~ Consider me surprised."

And with that, the little Mischevang would fold each of her arms and give an amused grin to the male. As, from here on out -- anything was up in the air! It was all going, going, going with the wind!

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count:

"I'd like to consider you in my lap, personally."

While Kamui did not exactly have Rose's reservations when it came to being attracted to the opposite sex, Rose was one of the very few people who he sought intimacy with out of respect rather than biology. The of course did not mean that biology was not playing an absolutely hell of a role in the equation though. Kamui slowly turned to look over his shoulder after Rose playfully flicked him on the back of the head and was honestly, quite taken aback. Rose was beautiful last time in a sort of childish exuberant fashion, but now she was actually wearing something that really drew attention to the fact that she was a woman and for once in what had to have been a solid fifteen years, Kamui's face showed genuine, unabashed surprise. For a being like Rose, it was not difficult to see the effect she had on him. Blood pressure raised slightly, hormones raged, and even though Kamui was wise and intelligent far beyond his years, he was still biologically an eighteen year old. There was very little even a creature such as he could do to control the baser impulses of his gender.

"It seems I'd like it even more than I thought I would, you could always be my Jane."

The mask wasn't off for very long as Kamui's smug and self-ensured demeanor returned exceptionally quickly. The man pivoted gently in the sand, turning his face away from Rose's hide out and out toward the Mexican Gulf, a soft smile on his face. It didn't compare, not truly, to the Sugiuran Realm in its glory, but Kamui couldn't really help but be fascinated by the natural beauty to be found on Earth. Even when Kamui broke it down in to Eidos, even when Kamui looked at the overarching code of the world around him, it still carried an almost innate beauty and majesty. It almost explained Sagumi's fervent attachment to humans and their world, despite how dedicated they seemed to ruining it on a consistent basis. Kamui's eyes rolled in their sockets gently to look up at Rose as his hand gently patted his lap, indicating that he was not joking in the slightest about where he wanted her as his eyes cast themselves back over the coastline. Normally, he'd try spending more time actually building up to making such a brazen invitation, doing things to make her more comfortable first, getting her in to a happier state of being, in to a more relaxed and amiable frame of mind, but Kamui had a gut feeling that such a thing wouldn't matter to Rose. She was one of the most prominent members of Shadowfall, the fact that she was playfully flicking him instead of attacking him after what he did, and she had to know he did, on the moon meant that she was already as close to the frame of mind he wanted as possible. She would either eagerly dive head first in to the intimacy she had been keeping at arms length, or she'd awkwardly avoid it, either way Kamui would get to enjoy her flustered bumbling through the act all the same.

"How did her royal tediousness react to the lunar ending?"

It had not been long, but a lot had happened since the two had last seen each other, locked in the least mortal of combat either of them were capable of on the lunar surface. Neoveta was the one directly in charge of the moon expedition for Shadowfall and she was the one who was most likely the most agitated in having her moment of triumph ripped out from under her. It was also a little probe on Kamui's end. He wanted to see, in some small measure, if Rose had kept the information to herself. He had a considerable amount of respect for her and as such, he was not going to insult her enough to assume she didn't fill in the blanks. Kamui said he was going to do something grand, something that would shake the world, something that would completely and utterly rock the balance of power...and then the world loses Azure and it loses its satellite, she would have to be rather vapid for her to not connect it to Kamui and he had a little too much respect for her to assume such.

"And how did you like my push?"

It wasn't a stretch to assume that was why she was out here either. He could tell that their meeting had triggered something in her, some kind of passion. He assumed, and apparently validly so, that part of that was an interest in Kamui, in someone who could finally see the world like she could, but he felt it was more than that. Something awoke inside her, some form of reinvigorated life. Maybe his push accomplished it, maybe the thought that she wasn't alone and could still grow accomplished it, but regardless it was beautiful in its own right. It was what Kamui wanted out of all life, to grow, to be forced along, to better themselves. Stagnation was abhorrent, it was disgusting it was repulsive, and it was something that Kamui would crush as long as he should live. A small smile formed across his lips at the thought, but it wasn't necessary a jubilant one. He understood the irony of his thoughts when combined with his arrogance and self-worth...and it was an irony that he was resolute in stamping out. He would not allow stagnation, he would not allow progress to halt, and he would bring the entire world to its heel if it meant accomplishing that goal. The smile grew as his attention shifted back to Rose, a playful grin running across his features as his mind quietly mulled over his situation.

"If my beachwear is really bothering you that much, I can always remove it. I know I would definitely be more comfortable that way."

Well -- that was quick and to the point! Rose was somewhat mentally taken back by how fast things seemed to being going between the two of them. So, because of this surprise, there was a faint blush which was seen flowing up to her face. Irritated by her emotions in that instant, The Primera would briefly tilt her head away from him and pout somewhat at her own feelings flaring up like this. Outwardly, it may seem as if she were brushing the whole thing off, but internally she was a mess of conflicted.

There was apart of herself that did want to share the intimate space with the man; as she felt a yearning to want to feel the embrace of another and feel secure in their arms. However, the apprehensive portion of her consciousness seemed to be pulling at the strings of Rose's thought. That portion of herself understood that there was a chance to be hurt and end up in the same depressive slump prior to this enlightenment. After all, even most of her family had abandoned their union at this point: just what chance did a stranger like this have at mending that void?

More importantly, it almost felt foreign, weird and intense to really allow herself to be opened and exposed to another. It wasn't just the fact she spent months in isolation, but the whole origin of her hollow existence had been one of solitude. For many hundreds of years the woman relied on nothing but her strength and wits to excel in the world of monsters known as Hueco Mundo. When she had her fill of that, the woman further cemented her consciousness in the virtual world for many hundreds of years to get as far away from that pain as possible.

If it weren't for the news of Ashlei Clixx coming back to the forefront of hollow control with the formation of Shadow Fall five years ago, The Primera Espada doubted she would even be here standing and talking to Kamui as it were. Therefore, with all this thought on the back of her mind, a great sense of internal tension was felt within her soul as she shuffled through all the different scenario's with her mind.

But -- in the end -- it was her heart which seemed to be winning. As the desire to not be alone was much stronger than the fear of being hurt. So, as she felt a faint sense of warmness wash over her body as she gave herself up to these feelings. It felt icky, it felt weird; but it also felt right and, even if she didn't want to fully admit it, there was a great part of herself which wanted to explore these feelings.

Thus, even as The Royal Mischevang's conscious mind seemed to have so many wavering feelings about the male, Rose would once again puff her cheeks and haltingly sit herself on his lap. When that moment finally came, there would be a reluctant sense of comfort felt within the halls of Rose's essence. The warmth of another's skin, the weight of his body and the feeling of embrace were all rather nice things to experience. It set off a firestorm of tingly sensations throughout her body as she hadn't felt this kind of touch in so long. As a result, it was almost scary for her to expose herself to this, but there was really no point in stopping this late in the game.

As, after all, there seemed to be a similar feeling occurring in the Sugiura himself. She was privy to the slightest of changes in the environment around her, and this applied to people as well. So, even as he attempted to place back the sultry embers of his mask, The Primera Espada had the feminine intuition that there was certainly something more to his attraction than he was outwardly leading on. Hence, in response to seeing that honesty, Rose couldn't but smile against her will and seemed ready to reply to the whole "Jane" and "Tarzan" business:

"Well...it's not like I'd mind that, anyway. So count your lucky stars, Tarzan."

Even though she was somewhat fumbling over her words at this point, and not quite sure what else to say in response to her own nervous feelings about this close space they shared, Rose still found enough of her diminishing feisty nature to flick his forehead and make a "hmph" sound from her mouth as she folded her arms playfully. And, well, there was also another reason she was somewhat frigidity: the woman wasn't exactly wearing any sort of underwear.

By reason of not expecting any sort of guest to her "home away from home", The Primera Espada felt well enough to walk around her beach vacation spot as bare as could be. There wasn't even so much as a bikini under her loose attire as the free flowing breeze of the tropical climate blew against the two. So, to be placed in this situation added another layer of delicate tenderness to this circumstance that caused her face to become somewhat redder for a few moments.

So, to take her mind off things, Rose decided to see whatever it was in the distance that Kamui seemed to be gazing at it. Since, it seemed to her that he took an interest in the sights itself since it was a rather beautiful place. The quietness of seclusion wasn't that bad to her. You could have a greater appreciation for the world around you, have time to clear your mind and enter a state of lucid tranquility. As, without the sights and sounds of a hustling and bustling place, the mind was free to wander in the sights of nature and find more forms of abstract thought to help birth new and wondrous ideas to life.

It is why she loved this aspect of her solitude and did not consider it to be entirely horrid. For in this moment, Rose believed that perhaps she should use her talents to recreate this exquisite scene for her own kind back in Hueco Mundo. It was in such a state of disrepair because of her own negligence that it seemed only right to want to do better. If, at least, for the memory of her sister. Wherever Ashlei may be at this point.

However, she was really losing herself in all this subtle language and introverted thought. So, The Royal Arrancar was jolted back to reality a bit when Kamui started asking about the situation with Neoveta. That, in it out of itself, was a complicated one. Judging from the reports she recalled of the moon, it seemed that the poor thing was infected with a Saca Dila from the remnants of the whole Black World fiasco which plagued the world a little over a year ago. After the incident on The Moon, the Saca Dila version of Neoveta known as the "Void" seemed to replace her position and there weren't any confirmed reports on the whereabouts of where The Princess was at this point.

"Well....let's just say the Princess has a split personality disorder. Whatever you were speaking to earlier appeared to be a corrupt version of herself which infected my subordinate. Whatever occurred in that section caused the two to separate and I'm not even quite sure where The Princess has gone. I just know that the creature you interacted with calls itself "The Void" and was kind of miffed Azure died before she could kill him."

And those words were honest enough. Throughout the duration of those sentences, it seemed a bit more of Rose's objective focus came back as she tried to recall the memories of the aftermath of that mission. There was a lot brewing over that whole incident; so it was a rather interesting time to live in because of it. The Primera Espada was just amused that so many parties were actively moving on The Moon on that day.

So, she would ease her head backwards on the chest of Kamui and give an earnest reply to his question:

"I...loved it. It gave me the kick I needed to think again. I feel...that after fighting so many watered down opponents that I lost my edge. I really couldn't find the will or desire to want to reach deeper into myself because the world around me was so gray. But...when you showed up, I think something changed and the colors of my code seemed to become so vivid that I can't imagine going back to that. So...I'm very grateful for that."

Yes, even now, her mind was whirring with so much new thought that it still felt just as orgasmic as the first time they encountered each other. Rose even assumed that so long as she stuck around him, her research would only further evolve and she'd reach a new pinnacle of evolution which yielded the potential to even ascend beyond her current prime state. At least, that is what he estimates informed her of.

For now, there was a hot pink covering her face as The Primera glanced off to the side and felt somewhat embarrassed by his comment about the whole beachwear comment. So, again, she would stumble upon her words, but end this:

"I..don't care. Do what you want. Hmph!"

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count:

Kamui studied the petite girl's reactions out of the corner of his eye and he was, remarkably, surprised. Rose was always so confident, so adrenaline driven in their previous encounter. She jumped straight in to combat with him without a moment's hesitation and only grew more and more passionate with each and every challenge he put in front of her. Kamui's comment was extremely forward, but it was also made partially in jest, he was not expecting her to do much more than flick him on the forehead again, which she of course did all the same, and defiantly sit down beside him, so the inner turmoil she was experiencing was fascinating to him. It meant that she really did want to reach that point of intimacy and reach it rather quickly. That was not necessarily unwelcome though, Kamui would much prefer if they could dispense with most of those pleasantries and move straight to what the pair of them truly wanted, but he still found it surprising all the same. Kamui's eyes had trailed back to her as she pouted, indecisively averting her gaze in some strange attempt at defiance, but it was not Kamui that she was defying.

What was it that was holding her back from acting on those desires? The traditional reasons were a general fear of intimacy due to inexperience or, in those that did have experience, that they were afraid of getting hurt. Kamui knew Rose's life time had effectively lapped his a hundred times over, so the likelihood that she had completely avoided an intimate encounter in that time frame was rather implausible. That left the remaining explanation to be that she was afraid of being hurt by opening herself up to him...which honestly wasn't an unfounded fear. Kamui was, inevitably, going to hurt her. He was a snake, he sought chaos, he sought the destruction of everything around him so his world could grow. It would seem then, that even a creature as old and experienced as Rose was still inexplicitly attracted to the one thing that would inevitably bring her doom. The very push and the calculated chaos that Kamui had wrought was indiscriminate, Rose was going to be caught up in it if she continued to act on these feelings and she, like everything else with a pulse, just could not help herself. It was sad in a way, that no matter what they all followed this pattern, but it was beautiful in a way. The blind optimism that "maybe it will be different this time" carried through absolutely no matter what.

It was in that final moment, when Rose succumbed to the temptation and took him up on his offer, that a small smile crept further on Kamui's face. He'd be gentle for now, at least that was the plan, but when she did set down on his lap, the very first thing he noticed was the complete and utter lack of undergarment. Given that Kamui might as well not be wearing anything, the result was a rather warm core pressing against the bare skin of his thigh, prompting another grin, a grin that was further exacerbated by his apparent need to count his lucky stars. Without the underlying context, their little rendezvous on the beach actually did make a healthy amount of sense. They were both, in some form or another, prominent members of royalty. Kamui outright WAS the de facto Prince of the Sugiuran world. Traditionally, their little tryst and potential subsequent relationship would make a lot of political sense. Of course, the likelihood of Rose actually managing to tie Kamui down were next to absolutely none, but on the surface the union made a lot of sense. Luck didn't play too too much of a part here.

Even on his lap though, he could tell the girl was still clearly uncomfortable. Not necessarily with the notion of intimacy, she didn't really have a problem touching him, but even still she seemed very uncomfortable with just how close her nethers were to his barely concealed set, and that they were up against his bare skin. The first step was to help her relax, however slightly. The man reached forward gently, slipping his fingers tenderly between her own and linking his hand to hers as they applied the slightest of pressure upon her hand, gentle reassurance that she needn't worry in that moment, that in that moment there was no such thing as fear, no such thing as concern, they were things for tomorrow, they were things to battle in time. There, on that beach, all that mattered was Kamui, Rose, and their bodies against one another.

When she did process the one, business related question he had, Kamui's eyes remained rather trained on her face. She was jolted slightly out of the reverie she was falling in to from the combined efforts of beautiful scenery and beautiful company, but she seemed to quickly collect herself. Kamui could tell she was holding something back from him, but at the same time, he never fully expected her to fully give him a complete dossier on Neoveta and fishing for the word she said to him, Saca Dila, was a long shot in and of itself. All the same, she had given him quite a bit of information regarding the woman, information he could use...plus the notion that he had swept her prize out from under her was rather pleasing in and of itself. Kamui thoroughly enjoyed the idea of her upset, partially because she bored him and partially because he was a sadistic asshole, but mostly the former.

Kamui's attention followed her as she leaned back and rested against his chest. He stayed quiet as she explained why their meeting had meant so much to her. He almost felt bad. He was inexplicably attracted to Rose, it was true, but their first meeting did not really provoke a horizon broadening event for Kamui. In fact, he wasn't really sure he was capable of a "horizon broadening event." It was momentous to find someone who could actually (come close because arrogance) rival his cognitive capabilities, but the biggest difference between them was that Kamui had a goal, Kamui had an end game, Kamui had something that would forever bring color to his world. That was the biggest difference between them. Though, he begrudgingly had to admit that Rose was one of the few people he would be sad to see hurt in the coming days. He knew how his brain worked. She was a valuable possession to him, she mattered, and he would, undoubtedly against his better judgement, ensure her protection at all costs. She made the colors in his world just a little more vibrant.

Then another lie, that she didn't care. Before she could finish turning her head fully away however, Kamui's hand that was not entwined with hers reached up and gently pulled her chin back toward him. Before she would have a chance to protest, Kamui pressed his lips to hers, a soft, gentle pressure at first to stifle any protests that would arise before pressing further, deepening the kiss. He was surprised, he expected it but he didn't appreciate just how delicious she would taste until that exact moment. Kamui held the kiss for a few moments longer than he could spare before pulling away, the soft grin returning to his face as he playfully chided her rather tsundere-esque behavior.

"The Primera Espada, the Royal Arrancar, is going to let me dictate everything without a fight? I have to say, love, I'm a little let down. Who knew the great Rose Mischevang was so timid."

It was hard for Rose not too notice the ever so subtle-hiccups of the Sugiuran male before her. It was perhaps quite a wonder and surprise to see her usual combative, aggressive and adrenaline-pumped self dissolve into such a soft, tender and flustered person. Even to The Primera Espada herself, this was a rather peculiar state of self she has observed within her psyche for quite some time.

In the point of view of this Royal Arrancar, it was a bewilderment to see the stark difference in persona between the person she was when pursuing new inventions, thrusting herself into the fiery lines of combat or doing her best to compete in a world of monsters around her. As, when these elements were taken away, and she was back on her own, there appeared to be a great sense of timidness, weakness and grief left in the wake of that burning enigma she crafted for herself.

It nearly felt like an entirely different alter-ego.

For that persona, strength and intelligence which brewed within herself was one which she built for herself to protect herself from a world of savage beast. It was a required mask needed to endure the harshness of the world and to allow herself to stand among the most brutal savages. As Origin Code matured, ripened and grew; the fear was cemented into many others around the Mischevang to not so much as even come close to her. Her temper, hostility and dominating presence were just tools to keep herself from further getting hurt and to protect her sister from these creatures who wished to take everything away from The Primera and their family.

As the years drew on and on, eventually people were assigned to be at arms length of herself and her heart. The only one who dared to have that grip on that fragile thing would be her sister: Ashlei Mischevang. All she wanted to do was serve her, make her happy and do the best she could for her sister. That's all she ever wanted out of life: to feel as if she were useful to someone or something. And since Ashlei was the light of her life that she chased even into the halls of her afterlife, the will of The Royal Mischevang wanted to keep chasing and chasing that blind sense of belief of love. That, perhaps if she continued to do so much for her sister and got so little in return, maybe she could see her sacrifice and embrace her.

Instead, even that ended in heartache and pain when her own flesh and blood chose a stranger over her own kin. Despite following her shadow from the light of her human life and into the darkness of her hollow body, despite putting in countless years of her life to making her sister and despite giving Ashlei her HEART and SOUL; it all was thrown to side, cast away as if it was nothing and she was once again abandoned.

Atop all the years of solitude in between that point and now, the frailty of her psyche grew greater and The Primera Espada held no interest in having so much as another soul touch her. For it was becoming apparent that it was a mistake to venture forth from her safe hole she submerged her consciousness in within the virtual world she fled to when this world was so painful to live through. The Espada were leaving her side, the kingdom of Hueco Mundo was changing, the Mischevang family was down to Rose herself and her beloved Ashlei was no where to be seen.

So -- was it ever really any wonder why Rose would find herself in the arms of Kamui? She wanted safety.

All she ever desired was to not be abandoned and to seek comfort, warmth and security in another arms. To be told that it was all going to be alright and that the nightmares of this world could be quelled, eased and subdued with the link she shared. It was a dream she gave up long ago, and it was a dream which she realized was absolutely ridiculous in this world. She was an Arrancar: a race which was formed from the darkest aspect of the human psyche. And even if she retained the essence of her human mind, the body which was hers was one which was a monster. Hence, Rose saw herself as a being which was just as ugly, just as capable of hurt and as brutish as the world around her. So, in the end, there was no place for such dreams or deluded lies to tell herself.

Yet -- no matter how much she tried to suppress and null it with Origin Code, the bases of her embodiment of an Arrancar was formed around abandonment, isolation and seclusion. These were the traits which unlocked the protocols required in her mind to use it's power. It is what allowed her to understand the world around her in code. And, through that code, she could modify and create an ideal reality to take her away from this pain. And, in exchange, it would not allow her to forget the roots of her ability so easily no matter what mental gymnastics and barriers she tried to form.

Henceforth, because of all of those internal worries of the mind, there was still an intense amount of fear and dread within her heart when sharing bodies with another. Her conscious was in such a distorted state of pattern that The Primera Espada wasn't quite sure where to take this venture. Should she slip on her mask and engage The Prince in a head-to-head of wills? Should she give into her own perceived submissiveness and allow herself to get lost in the seas of delusional and self-projected security she placed on the male? Or should she just pack up, leave and run away from this altogether?

That urge to flee was growing stronger, but as to was the sense of attraction she had to the male. It was a conflicting state of affairs to deal with. Love, or hate? Flee, or stay? Embrace, or isolate? The mind of The Mischevang was uncertain and unsteady and it was giving her nothing but goose bumps throughout the whole ordeal. She wanted to open herself, she wanted to see if it could work, but the greater judgement of her mind was coming back in waves and washing away the dreamy bliss she found herself stuck in.

Still, that sense of touch stuck with her and it was a demonic sensation which made her feel wanted, but at the same time there was so much which could go wrong with it. Comfort, uncomfortable, comfort, uncomfortable; the woman's body and mind couldn't think of which direction to go in, but she would rub her free hand against his and have their hands mesh in a tender handhold.

This was getting frightening.

Rose didn't fear him in the aspect of combat, or in the aspect of the mind. Those were two areas which she was more than confident in and assured she could hold her own to so long as there was a challenge to overcome. No. What she feared was having her heart fall into the hands of someone who may hurt it just as so many others have. Or, even worse, simply throw it away and cast it to the side as even her own family did. It was so much easier for her to navigate straight-forward progressions such as evolution, combat and technology as opposed to matters of interpersonal relationship, matters of the heart and yearnings of her sub-conscious desire.

But then -- all that thought was shattered for the briefest of moments. Before she could turn her head fully away from The Prince, The Primera felt a warmth comparable to the blazing heat of a sun tingle down her body.

That kiss -- that kiss was powerful.

It caused her eyes to dull over with this foreign feeling of fullness and heat that temporarily filled the void within her mind and heart. It is why Rose did not struggle against him in that moment and she seemed to ease her being back into his by returning the kiss.

When he pulled away, however, a feeling of weightless eased back into her body. Never had she felt someone from outside her own family express such a wanton desire from her. It felt nice, but it felt so, so, so wrong. It didn't feel right at all.

It's why The Espada was left staring at the male before the slightest of tears started to fall.

No. She wasn't bothered by his words. They would be endearing in another mood, but something within her was scared now. Very scared. This primal fear was screaming at her not to fall for this trap. It would only lead to the same heartbreak, to the same hurt and she would be back to square one. Her Origin Code, her loneliness, her isolation; it was all screaming to fight against and pull away from the male to save herself the potential future grief.

"I.......I......"

Words weren't coming to her. There was nothing she could say; or maybe she was too afraid to say it. All that she could feel was anxiety, angst and concern swirling within her mind at frightening speeds thanks to the power of her unresting mind. It yielded great insights into abstract thoughts, but the grimmer side of this prowess allowed for just as many nightmares and horrid scenarios to play out. And this fear tapped into that and continued to show signs where he may hurt her, where he may leave her or where he may simply sacrifice her; ensuring the image of Ashlei's hand tore away any semblance of hope between the two.

So, there was nothing she could do but let more tears fall from her face. Drop by drop, drip by drip; these fluids of her heart's essence started to flow from her and she tried to stop it internally. It was like a switch that wouldn't turn off. No matter how hard she tried to pull that lever, this surge of emotion would not leave her and it left a nasty sinking sensation in the pit of her chest as she started to stand and slowly back away from the male.

"..."

"...I'm...not sure if I can go through with this. It feels nice...it really does...but I can't. I'm...sorry. It's beautiful, but....I can't."

She tried to articulate and find the way to properly express these with words, but nothing would come. Try and try as she might, there was nothing that she could do or say to try and explain hundreds of years of this type of thinking. She wanted to, she had to, she needed to; but she just couldn't. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Nothing was coming.

Thus, as the age old saying goes: "it's not you, it's me."

Except -- in this instance -- it really was her.

She wasn't sure if she ready for this type of relationship and it felt terrifying to have someone attempt to mend her sorrows, to ease her loneliness and to evaporate her solitude. Elements which were so constant in her life, so vital to her power and so prime to her essence. It is why she found herself beginning to want to move backwards away from the male and begin walking back towards the ocean to try and better compose herself.

"I'm...really sorry...."

Again, those words would leave her again and she would place her right hand against her heart as she started to feel a great sense of dread shiver down her spine.

Just -- what was she suppose to do?

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count:

Well, that was unexpected.

He had thought everything was going well. They had a romantic spot on the beach, a romantic view, a romantic cuddle, following in to a romantic kiss. Kamui had a lot of experience with his advances being unwanted. No matter how good you are when you, in one form or another, proposition numerous upon numerous women you will, eventually, run in to resistance. Kamui knows what actual resistance felt like, what resistance did to your psyche. This wasn't that feeling. When Rose was in his arms, it was affection, it was arousal, it was desire. It was fear as well, but that was actually rather natural in most cases. A lot of people were nervous and scared before any kind of intimate encounter, especially when dealing with an entirely new person, probably even more so when they were enemies just moments ago in the scheme of things. Those feelings were all natural to have when you're in acceptance of intimacy, they were natural concerns and fears and they were typically not enough to so wholly deter someone from something they desired...yet Rose still deterred and as her lips left Kamui's, her body left his as well, fleeing off down the beach toward the shore..leaving Kamui with not but a befuddled look upon his face.

Kamui reached down and gently pressed his finger against his leg, pressing against one of the copious little puddles of tears that had fallen upon his rather exposed legs. It was still an unsettled look upon Kamui's face as he slowly lifted his finger off of his leg a trail of saline fluid trailing in its wake and swaying in the beach wind as the man tried to tear his eyes away from the tears on his lap and now finger. It wasn't necessarily surprising that a woman would cry, he'd dealt with that a lot, but he hadn't dealt with this and of all the people he had met, it was Rose he expected to cry the least as a result of something Kamui would do. She struck him as far too competitive a person to let something effect her so deeply. Especially not something as shallow as this level of physical intimacy. There had to be something more to it and as it turned out, there was. Naturally, nothing she said was especially illuminating though, which WAS a little more in tune with what Kamui was used to dealing with.

When Rose finally spoke, Kamui gently pulled his knees further toward his chest instead of the sprayed out posture that he had maintained thus far. Kamui was unsure exactly of how to handle this situation because he had been throw off center by the whole ordeal. The complete one hundred and eighty degree flip by Rose was rather impressive and it was not something that Kamui was especially well-versed in dealing with. Actual sympathy and empathy were not skills that he were especially familiar with. Lying and faking those emotions? Kamui could do that all day. He was amazing at that. Somehow though, that was not what he wanted from his interaction with Rose. She already understood more about him than anyone but Sasha could claim at this point. He did not want to lie to Sasha, he didn't want to lie to Rose either. However, deception was what he was, that made this difficult for him. As Rose spoke, Kamui's head dropped slightly and when she uttered her apology, a soft sigh escaped Kamui.

"Rose, you don't need to be."

Kamui removed a hand from his knee and raised it out to his side, allowing Rose to see a spell that she would recognize as the grains of sand along the beach would begin to swirl in a small funnel before raising in to the air. It would only swirl for a moment before the sand would begin to coalesce in to a solid form. The sand began to take shape, legs forming first, curved legs jutting out of the sand before the long board of the sandy beach chair formed and the finishing touches of Kamui's magical beach chair finished forming. It wasn't necessarily far away from him, he didn't want to really push her too far away even if she wanted to put more distance than Kamui probably provided between them. But Kamui, as a being of deceit, understood psychology. He hadn't made himself a seat, but he had made her one, the seat would provide her an elevated position above him, providing a sense of superiority and security. It was a subconscious thing that Kamui was not especially worried about her being immune to. It was more a question if she was willing to sit down in the first place at all. Once he got her there, he wasn't especially worried about the results after that, even if nothing more intimate came of it, he would at least make her comfortable.

"Please, sit. You don't have to do anything else."

It was unfortunate, for a lot of reasons. Kamui was incorrigible so the lack of intimacy was definitely going to be something of a point of sadness for him, but that wasn't the primary thing that made it depressing. Shadowfall, the organization that Rose was tied to, actively or not, was not going to be his friend when all was said and done. When the dust finally settled and Kamui's plan resolved, he would only have one friend. Shadowfall was to be his enemy, the Yuudeshi were to be his enemy, the Shinigami were to be his enemy, his own people would be his enemy. Kamui was going to be everyone's enemy when the dust finished settling and Kamui had very little in the way of ability to predict where Rose's allegiances would align when all was said and done. He could not promise forever, he could not even promise tomorrow and on some small level, he understood that promise was what Rose needed. It was just not something he could give. Whether she sat down or not, Kamui's words would come, this time somewhat more somber.

"This is going to get worse, you know. The moon was just a prologue. I'm not done. We may line up as enemies next we meet."

Artist: Please - Song: Reign Of Dreams - Word Count: n/a

Uncertainty.

That was one word which could be used to describe this sensation spiraling down Rose's spine. It was a chilling feel which radiated throughout her back, while a heavy sense of emptiness rammed itself against her chest. She really didn't mean to hurt him like this -- or at least that how she perceived the reactions of Kamui. It was unusual to see him in this state, and that only made her feel even further uncomfortable. Not because he was doing anything wrong, but it kept reminding her how fickle these emotions, feelings and attachments to others could become.

Even if she wished not to hurt him -- her actions could certainly have unintended effects.

Much like her own sister; Rose was quite aware of how desires and actions are two separate things. While one may have their beliefs tell them that what they are doing is harmless, their actions can have totally different results on the reality around them. As, no matter what, every one person in this universe had their own perceived existence and everyone experianced life in their own custom set of understandings, knowledge and perception. So it is why Rose started to evaluate where she stood with Kamui and if it was best to try and work through this -- hesitation.

Thus, she would leave and would instead address him:

"Alright...I won't be sorry. As long as you understand..."

There was a heavy sigh let out from The Primera once she allowed herself to try and confront these emotions. It was intense to go through his mental and emotional ordeal. As she attempted to determine what was right or wrong, her heart felt as if it were walking over a lake fire on the weakest of wooden bridges. Could this just be another trick? Was he just going to be another to use and abuse her just like her sister? Or would he simply leave and abandon her like everyone else? There was no telling, and the uncertainty of that question only made the gut-wrenching feeling in her stomach that much more tense.

Yet -- it was something that must be done.

It wasn't like Rose to leave things un-done; even if they were extremely discomforting and hard to endure. Therefore, as the male started to construct a special beach chair just for her, The Royal Mischevang looked at it and seemed almost at a lost for why he would construct it. Was it a symbolic thing? Certainly her regular persona had a sense of superiority which reared it's ugly head every now and again, but this was different than that and she had no need for such a thing here since she was not battling the world and did not need to assume an identity to be strong.

So -- why?

That question wasn't exactly right, either. The Primera Espada knew just exactly what he was doing, that is what her intuition told her. Yet, time and again, she was trying to undermine herself to try and give the person the benefit of the doubt and to somehow ask these questions to evade coming to an answer she already knew. Mental games, mental games, mental games.

But, for now, mental games is just exactly what Rose seemed to be up for playing.

Hence, she would nod her head and simply take her seat on the chair; laying back and staring at her with the most tender of gazes. She wasn't stupid. Far from it. The woman understood that creating a plan like his required as little attachment as possible and to be as brutal, psychopathic and deceptive as possible. It was his own mask that he adorned much like her own to help endure this wild world they inhabited. So, it is why she wanted to look past that and hear what he had to say. Perhaps there was kindred spirits, maybe there was understanding and love to be found behind it; so Rose would weakly nod her head and respond to him with these ginger words:

"I...know. Everything is going to become worse as these days, weeks and months come by. There is a lot being put into play by all parties apart of this fiasco. However...I would still want to avoid being your enemy...and I can only hope the feeling is mutual. Promises aren't anything absolute in this world; not even my own family can grant me those. So maybe I'm fool, but...I can't seem to help it, can I? I like you."

And with that, The Primera Espada would have a gentle sigh escape her lips before those fiery eyes of her closed and began reflecting on this whole mess she found herself into and listening in to hear whatever Kamui had to say next. If nothing else, however, she certainly did seem to relax and ease her tensions expressing these sentiments. The weight in her chest was noticeable, and breathing was still defensive; but the levels of intensity were halved and she was open for the time being.

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count:

People were so very fascinating. Not for the reasons one might expect. What exactly separates the sentient species from the "animals." Was it intellect? In part, but any time spent on the internet would make you question whether intellect was a requirement for sentience. No, what really set people apart from the animals was a spectrum of emotion that was, by nature, chaotically nonsensical. Emotions were not unique to sentience. The shrew feels fear. Overwhelming fear was how prey animals survived. The constant fear of every shadow, the constant fear of any noise, the constant fear of the world itself...helped that little shrew to live. That was the functional purpose of fear, that was the rational, logical intention to fear. Sentience was, in and of itself, the capacity to ignore and invalidate the functional purpose of emotion. In an animal, their fear would be acted upon, it'd be heeded, if something was a threat they would accept it and avoid it. Rose was right to be afraid of him, even without her personal background and abandonment issues getting in the way, Kamui was a threat to every living thing, yet that threat was simultaneously attractive to her. Kamui had admitted to being her enemy, they had fought before, and his very existence was not only a threat to her, but to the entire organization sh called her own...and yet she was inexplicably drawn to him. It was beautiful in a way, how sentience in and of itself meant to make contradictory decisions as a matter of course. The alternative was that she was using her physical attractiveness to attack Kamui's only really known weakness, but that metaphor is not nearly as pretentious.

"I'm curious how well informed your intelligence is. Are you familiar with my father?"

He was purposefully ignoring her comment for the moment. As familiar as he was with the concept of human emotion, and as much as they liked to pretend otherwise most races followed the "human" template when it came to cognitive processes, Kamui was familiar with how best to time and temper his words. There was a right way to use those emotions and as perhaps callous as that mentality was, consciously or not everyone looked to temper and direct their words and actions to achieve the result they wanted. Kamui was just a little more cognizant of his behavior than most.

"He's a human, believe it or not, but not a weak shell like most of them. He is ridiculously powerful, ridiculously intelligent, and above all else he is a walking platitude speaking to the virtues of justice and morality. He is something of a source of inspiration for me."

Kamui was rather clearly neglecting to say how exactly he was a source of inspiration, but he would let Rose speculate to her heart's content. Life was not nearly as much fun without a sense of mystery. Kamui let his seemingly random confession hang in the air for a moment, gave Rose a moment to process it. In reality the pause only lasted a few seconds, but for people like them, people who thought and saw the world like they did, a few seconds could feel like an entire life time. Those seconds seemed to hang for years upon years before Kamui finally spoke. For the first time having actual, genuine feeling behind his words.

"I care for you too...because of that I'd like you to withdraw. There is no way Shadowfall won't get involved...I'm dragging the whole world to its knees. I would prefer it if you weren't hurt."

The fact that he did not use that in to a segue-way in to what Rose could do from her knees once he had her there was testament enough to the severity of his intent. The irony was not lost on Kamui. Expressing parts of his plan was destructive, revealing anything about himself was self-destructive. He was proving just how human he really was, just how much his faulty genes were influencing the cold hard science of logic. He did care about Rose, she was most likely the first being that he came across that he held any amount of respect for. He was going to light the world aflame, he was going to triumph over that inspiration, and he was one hundred percent going to ruin the lives of anything he came across. Unfortunately...that would include that being he actually cared for.

"Go to ground, don't involve yourself in what the world will be embroiled in. For my sake if not for your own."

He tactfully decided to not add that he would hate to have to kill her should it come to it.

Artist: Guano Apes - Song: High

Kamui was starting things off with his father? That was an intriguing way to begin all of this. However, it proved to be a distraction from Rose's conflcited emotions because it allowed her to do some processing and think of where Shadow Fall stood with Sagumi. And, to be truthful, they hadn't put much stock into him. They were aware of his feats in the Australian War and Platinum Heart Tournament, but they weren't aware of him actively plotting against them. So, they only knew him by name and power at this time.

"We know that your father is some super powerful human freak, but other than that we haven't done dick all since we didn't classify him as an active threat."

There was a light laugh given by Rose was she spoke that bit of sass back at him. Humor was a good weapon to use in serious situations like this, and it felt familiar to her to revert to her usual fiery and snappy personality for a bit. Thus, she took a slow inhales and exhales of breath to calm her breathing, ease her nerves about this whole ordeal and think more clearly. Intimate situations were not her forte by a long shot.

"I'm pretty inspired to find himself if he is so strong now. It's why inspiration can have many different meanings. And knowing you, I'm sure it's something more than just having an admiration for daddy dearest."

After she finished speaking, Rose would stick her tongue out at him and give another laugh out to continue to relax her body through the medicine of laughter. She didn't need all the time in the world that the enhanced processing power of mind produced. All that it took was taking the pieces of the puzzle that were Kamui, putting them together into a row and using simple logic to deduce there was something clearly more to it than just that by the lack of detail in why he had inspiration for him. Usually, sons describe how they were inspired by their father's strength, hard work ethic, values or whatever else. Instead, Kamui spoke none of that and did not clarify why his intelligence and strength inspired him.

And, while Rose had something more to talk about regarding that subject, she was taken back by what Kamui uttered next. There was a sense of surprise in her eyes as she blinked at him wanting her to withdraw. But, it had been even more so shocking for her when he spoke out about the firm sentiment of caring for her so deeply. It touched her heart to a degree, and that almost made her uncomfortable as it was a foreign feeling to her. Parts of herself felt so uncertain, scared and confused that it almost made her want to run away from that feeling, but the woman felt she was stronger than that. She destroyed entire armies, surely something this trivial shouldn't be so hard?

So, even as her face grew redder at the affection, she would nod her head and try to think of a response to give as she couldn't find the right words to piece together at this notion. The reason being is because she wanted to progress in her own way to and Shadow Fall gave her more than enough ample chances to do so. And, more to the point, she was still there because her sister, Ashlei, had meant a lot to her. So her sense of attachment to family made her want to stay at their side.

Thus -- she would have both.

"I'll still be underground researching regardless because I have to progress my work, but I cannot leave my family's side. I do not care if Shadow Fall is damaged and can oversee those actions because I care for you as well, but I will ensure that my family is taken care of. Everyone else can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned."

That was her choice. And, with that decision made, she'd take an exhausted sigh and just hug him. That is all she wanted for the moment. Just a simple hug, warmth and a time to zone out from all this heavy thought. It's why no further words were needed in her mind. Actions spoke the loudest.
