Gailey Bedight [Yakusa] Empty Gailey Bedight [Yakusa]

Jessica wasn't the smartest or the finest tool in the shed, but she considered herself one of the hardest. The desert was rather cooled off for the winter and the lights of the strip had come into view. The hulkish woman was on her way to the city after hearing another rumor of a famous man on a piano. If only Jessica had or understood more than she actually did she might have more to go on in her elusive and unending search for her brother. The woman looked back up at the city and kept walking, tossing her backpack up for a second to make sure it was secure.

Her previous wounds from the young woman she had deemed "Tiny" had finally just about healed, which was a mess for the rather powerful woman. What her grandmother had said was most true. Jessica was rather weak and pathetic compared to everyone else. She could deal with it though, superpowers didn't seem to phase the towering woman.

A car honked as it went past the giantess and she managed to look at it slightly confused as she backed away. Followed by a few hover vehicles of some kind or another as she finally managed to step within city limits. The meadows was quite an obscure and wrong name for Sin City but compared to home, this place was tame as far as Jessica heard. She made her way to the large lights and buildings, looking up at each of them as she slowly walked. If the cool night air affected her, she didn't show it. Everywhere the large woman looked her two tag-alongs managed to wonder around finding something to do with anything that appeared.

Tragedy found the place up hauling and was asking Jessica to start smashing anything and anyone on general principles. Comedy, was in heaven, about the first two drug addicts and the first round of drunks. She was having the time of her life as she ran around like a little girl with her hands above her head. Jessica ignored them as she tried to take two or three steps away from anyone that got near her. A few people reached out and tried to touch or look at her like she was from the dam circus. Beings of all kinds seemed to have a problem with a woman who may have been roughly nine feet of sheer muscle tall as she moved further away from everything.

Jessica didn't like people, well that's not entirely true. Jessica was a monstrous shark, people scared her cause she wasn't used to or understand them. What looked like naturally brushing off the inferior things that were half her size to her was just panic. Though, she wouldn't lie if she didn't say that her uncle wasn't the best at cooking long pig anyway. She finally found the Mandalay Bay and wondered into the lobby. The towering woman looked around and went up to the front desk. "Room." She said taking out her wallet and handing over her card. Her hand dwarfed the small thing as she looked around. The woman asked, timidly for Jessica's identification which she gave.

The woman mentioned something Jessica didn't understand and gave her directions to one of the small rooms for the more frugal budget, like Jessica, guests. Jessica nodded graciously and wondered off to, literally dwarf the elevator. It took a minute or so ride up to get to her floor and it wasn't comfortable. Jessica wished she had the money to stay in places with ceilings that actually accomadated her size but that never usually happened. She looked at the bed and sighed. That wasn't going to work either. So she quickly took a shower and fell asleep on the floor.

Jessica woke up to a rapping at the door she got up and without any clothes on, as the concept was kind of lost to her mind, that and wearing them seemed to be something normal people thought about not her. The poor maid screamed and closed the door on Jessica, who simply shrugged and went and took another shower, managing to brush her hair out of her face. That's when she finally got dressed enough to head downstairs, after stopping at the laundry area on the third floor to toss yesterday's clothes in. Jessica was crouched to avoid the cieling again until she got into the casino proper, she wondered around, with more than one guard deciding that the towering woman was going to be immediate trouble. She managed to find her way to a bar with a piano she had heard in the background.

"Pianist green eyes?" She asked the lady waiting to sit people down and got a look of confusion and fear before she realized she probably wasn't going to get a response and so trudged into the small high-class area. More than one guard was already making their way towards Jessica as she wondered over to the piano, her t-shirt that said "Stronger than you." In bold letting and her easy worn slacks made everyone take two steps back on reflex. She put her massive hand on the side of the Pianist's shoulder and looked down at him. Not Jacob. She grunted and wondered out as one of the guards suddenly looked very mad.

"Miss, we're going to have to ask you to leave." He said before being interrupted by the quiet large brute.

"Where more pia'no?" She asked. The security suddenly looked more confuse as she glared down at them, waiting for a response. She pushed past them to go looking for other places with live music and the guards stood there wondering what to do. Obviously going toe to toe with a monster as gargantuan as Jessica wasn't something they were briefed on during orientation.

So the overgrown woman looked around on the casino floor for more places with pianos. With a healthy set of guards beginning to follow her, all looking to each other for someone to come up with some understanding of what to do with the girl.

Yaksha, The Skinwalker

As far as Vegas gigs went, the Mandalay Bay wasn't one of the most impressive, or best-catered-to. The bouncers there were merely serviceable, and the locale was nothing that impressive in the grand scheme of things. People there were easy to please, so Yaksha rarely felt a need to throw out any of his real tricks or his trump cards; a few basic personalities, a few straightforward riffs, and he had them all loving him. It was, at least by the standards Yaksha had come to associate with these performances, very low-maintenance. Most days, he found his mind wandering to other things entirely, as he went about his performances.

Today, his eyes were scanning the area for anything unique, so it was no trouble whatsoever to focus in on a seven-foot tall woman who looked like she was probably carved by a very meticulous sculptor, rather than born. He could see her speaking to one or two of the staff, and he could see the look of puzzlement on their faces each time she did. It stood to reason, then, that she likely wasn't a native English speaker. Yaksha, being a man of a great many tongues, couldn't pass up a chance to find out why a foreigner had come this far away from their homeland. He cleared his throat, and then pointed to the woman, from atop the stage, before approaching.

"I really suggest you work on your enunciation. A 'pianist' is 'one who plays a piano'. The way you say it, you make it sound like you have penis envy. That theory went out of vogue so long ago, it should've been reincarnated about twice by now."

He smiled an easy, charming smile, raising one hand towards a guard as a hand went to his holster, and a gun there. The tall, lithe man seemed to command as much respect as a head of state or a very famous celebrity would've, as if his mere interest in the woman in front of him was enough of an endorsement...or a death sentence...to warrant their sudden lack of concern. Each guard seemed to find a better place to be, something more fascinating to focus on, as Yaksha approached the woman, seeming to size her up.

"...You know, I came over here asking myself if I should give you a job offer, but this close up I can smell the hollow on you. You reek of it. Now all I want is to rip your throat open. I, however, am a civilized man, and as such that would only be something I save for a big finale."

He winked slowly, lazily, giving a smile that showed off far too many teeth, far too sharp, and then gestured towards the stage where he had been standing, until just a moment.

"So talk to me about pianos instead. What makes pianos so special, to you?"

Tragedy and Comedy ran and hid behind a table as the man walked over to Jessica. She watched them go and then stared blankly at his rather large and intelligent words. Then she went back over everything he said. That didn't exactly work. The woman looked down at the hard-toothed person and shrugged. That was too many words too fast.

Then he kept going, something about hollows and ripping her throat out she understood. She debated jumping at the person but the fact that her hollows had run off and to hide probably meant that was a dumb idea. She continued listening to and watching him flamboyantly be better than her and really had no idea what was going on.

"Bro play piano, Jessica look for, Jessica find-smash!" Jessica said explaining her fascination with pianos to the rather powerful looking individual that had come up to her. "Eye like Jessica!" She said in a very stark tone and nodded. Obviously proud of her limited vocabulary. That in and of itself made her want to know why this dude even cared so much. After all this was not the right idea for her.

Jessica was staring at the thing wondering what she could name the person in front of her. He seemed a little too advanced for the lights of her and she was still trying to figure out the point of what he had said to her. She really wanted to smash him but doing so in public was probably not the best idea, and she was pretty sure she wouldn't win anyway. "Jessica." She said pointing at herself and then pointed at him. "Sharp Toof." Then she nodded approvingly.

Yaksha, The Skinwalker

"Sharptooth works just fine for me. Is your brother as tall as you? Shorter? God, I hope shorter."

His eyes scanned up and up, trying their very best to make contact with her own; it was exceedingly difficult when his head was only barely above her navel, and looking straight forward would've been cause for quite a few women of different sorts to make some unflattering accusations. He inhaled slowly, his nostrils flaring quite wide, and his hands folding by his side, as he examined her. He seemed almost like he was trying to examine a work of art and break it down into the component parts; there was a sense that he was filing away every little detail, to be catalogued and later referenced.

"Brother-smash? Strange. Brother bad guy? Piano bad? Brother run away?"

He stared at her, eyes already seeming to swim out of focus as he spoke, as if he were elsewhere; he'd already sealed off a portion of his intellect, using it to examine the room subconsciously, processing countless other issues. It was clear he wouldn't need a great deal of intellect for this conversation, so it was probably best for both of them if he kept his intellect focused elsewhere. He grinned his sharkish grin once more, and walked past her, gesturing for her to follow.

"Mother? Father? Gone? Only brother? Should let me help. Know lots of pianists."

Jessica took her backpack off and pulled out a picture of a rather pale man, who looked much more normal sized that the giantess. She was following correctly named SharpToof now and definitely had no idea what she was doing. Though, unlike usual this time she understood she had no idea what she was doing. She listened to his questions and tried to make heads or tails of the ones she could. Jessica yawned as he finally finished as she kept following him before reaching her massive arm down with the small picture.

The man was pasty, pale, almost an odd lock of sickly. He had on a top hat and tails and was playing an old piano with a glass of something red sitting next to him. Oddly enough, the red liquid, presumably wine, looked like it was rolling around the cup. The picture was even more weird, like the giantess, the young man's eyes were a glowing green. The man's infernal look, while normal sized, was as creepy and detached from human as his sister was. The difference was he had the right proportions. Jessica rolled her shoulders after a few minutes.

What could Jessica say about her family, tell the world they were cannibalistic sociopaths? Maybe that they had tortured her since she was born, or maybe the fact they worshiped things from beyond the scale of reality. Jessica remembered the thing she had seen once. It still haunted her, her mind had nearly split in two due to the massive fluctuation in trying to wrap around the insanity that she had seen.

"Jake run, Jessica chase. Mom home, dad home, Jessica no like. Mom mage, dad mage, Jake mage, Jessica no mage, Jessica smash! Jake bad, leave Jessica mom dad, Jessica sick, Jessica cry, Jessica beat, Jessica find, Jessica Smash! Sharp Toof do?"

The woman asked her new oddly named acquaintance. Jessica's tone of speaking was rather off, though it was more rudimentary than most peoples. Whether it was from psychological damage or just the fact that the large woman didn't like talking because it seemed to strenuous and overbearing. She obviously was more at home on the farm or in a street fight than wondering around the massive lights and sounds of Vegas. She looked at the picture and made a childish face at it that may have included sticking her tongue out in anger before putting it away.
