YUUTO HISAKAWA | STORMSWORD

In his time teaching at Shin'o Academy, someone like Ajora had been a complete and total enigma. He had heard of prodigies both current and past that blazed through the academy without difficulty. Even some of the Captains from the era of the Winter War were prodigies, some of them were nobles, as expected. Yet, they still had longer stays in the academy to gain the power and skill that they had.

However, she was neither of those. She was only six months into her stay at the academy, and yet she was regarded as one of the greatest prodigies that many teachers and students had ever seen. Her natural giftedness and skills, as well as her keen intellect were far beyond anything that could be considered "talent."

While he didn't know why she was such an enigma -- and, frankly, part of him doubted that even she knew why, it was something of interest to him. So, as his classes came to a close for the day, he went to find her, gently tapping her on the shoulder as he came up behind her.

"Ajora? May I speak with you?"

Somewhere along the line, it had gotten away from her. Her intentions to lie low had been present at first. However, it wasn't enough. There was only so mucb you could do while pretending to be a fucking idiot. What questions she gave were answered in tiny, easily swallowed chunks that didn't even breach the actual hunger inside of her. And feigning ineptitude meant that teachers would at times simply fixate on the most obvious issues with what she was doing, rather than what she actually needed help with.

And so she had simply stopped holding herself back. Her own desires to be cautious overridden by her own sheer desire to learn. To be BETTER. And it had worked. She ACTUALLY got the resources she needed... and more! She was given access to more advanced materials, the Teachers answered to the best that they were capable.Stronger students and even some of the staff had begun partaking in her training and spars rather than the few idiots who had prviously thought they were on her level, And SOME semblance of satisfaction began to take hold. But she KNEW there was still more out there. As a student, she was still incredibly limited. But she had full confidence that that restriction wouldn't hold her back for much longer.

As the class ended for the day, she had been i the midst of packing up her things when a tap on the shoulder caught her by surprise, quite the feat all things considered, and she raised her brows when she saw none other than Professor Hisakawa behind her.

"Ah, of course. What can I do for you Professor?" She asked. Her scar in plain view. She had, for some time, used Kido to keep it, and her left arm, hidden from her peers. As much as she had relaxed, while she had stopped hiding the scars on her body. She .....still kept her left arm at least appearing to be normal.

The scar that had seemed to just appear recently was concerning. Given her talent, such a large and obvious blemish was something that felt...unfitting for her. What had she gotten herself into that injured her so severely? But, he let none of that show. Instead, he offered a warm smile, gesturing lightly down the hall.

"Walk with me, if you would?"

It was a simple request, something to break the ice and keep them from standing there idly. Whether she accepted or not, he'd wait a few moments before continuing.

"I'll be blunt, you're one of the most talented students I've ever seen. To my knowledge, even some of the prodigies of the Winter War era didn't develop their talents and skills in such a short time as you. Frankly, it's far beyond just talent."

He was going to say his suspicions on the matter, but, perhaps that was a bit too blunt right now. Nevertheless, he paused for a moment after cutting himself off. There was something of particular interest with her abilities that he wanted to keep a closer eye on. He could tell that there were things she was hiding, particularly, her deftness.

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to spend some time in the Fifth Division as an...internship, of sorts. Would this interest you? If you'd like another division to undertake this with, I could speak with the Captain and see if they would be willing."

The woman paused for a moment at that and nodded her head. "Of course Professor." She offered a very light nod as she promptly began to follow along behind him, that calm stare seeming to intensify as she studied him closely, curious as to what this was about. All the same, when he at long last DID speak up, she paused and ... considered what he had to say.

She stared ahead of them and considered the observation. "I ....certainly have heard similar sentiments. I admit, hearing it from someone such as yourself, is ...interesting." She noted softly. She was aware of who he was, after all. She was very astute, and the fact that one of the professors was the infamous Yuuto, Captain of the Fifth division had not escaped her notice. That offer however..... that was more of a surprise, and she almost stopped completely in her tracks as she turned to .... look closely at the man. An internship.... at the Fifth Division? She was aware of what they handled. Covert operations.

"That seems like... quite the extension of trust given the sensitive nature of the Squad's work.Is that....allowed?" She ventured, though there was VERY clear interest behind her eyes. The Fifth Division handled missions in EVERY realm presumably. and that had considerable potential.

He was very aware of what he was doing. He could see the interest in her eyes mixed with her concerns. The Fifth Division did handle sensitive information at times, however, it was far from the only role they played in the greater whole of the Soul Society.

"It's true, there are times when we carry, exchange, and overall deal with sensitive information. But, just by the nature of you being there would not permit you access to everything within."

Perhaps some would consider it too dangerous to even entertain the idea of an academy student learning and experiencing some of what the Stealth Force offered. He was cautious, probably overly so and teetering on the realm of paranoid to some, but, he still felt this decision was, to some extent, sound.

"Someone would be accompanying you in any area that is deemed necessary. Not to say that you're not strong enough to be on your own, but to ensure that no information from our division is compromised. You can gain an understanding of stealth techniques and see if this division might be right for you."

He did fully intend on letting her gain genuine experience from the Stealth Force, but, in part, this was also to gauge Ajora herself, to see what in the world was behind such talent. He knew that there was more to it than that -- and he intended to try and find out why, even if it was only in small increments.

It was something that had garnered his interest, and with such a strange, unique phenomenon, he wanted to be sure whether or not she could pose a danger. He hoped not, but optimism only got you so far in life.

So she would be surveilled. But that wasn't new. No doubt Yuuto would be aware that she was already under surveilance as a result of her curiosity in the rukongai. No doubt, her progress in the Academy had only increased the ammount of eyes on her since then. But this was ..... something to be sure. An opportunity. Not only at being a part of proper shinigami work. But she might even get to go to the world of the living. Be INVOLVED in things. And not only that, but a foot in the door for the division. Proper field work that would not JUST be rooting around some old tomes. But she'd get to experience this world more thoroughly.

For just a moment, she considered declining. She entertained the idea, and for a moment, she did seem conflicted. But eventually, she stood up straight and looked to the Captain himself. "Should I accept. What would that mean? Would it be similar to the situation with the Substitute Shinigami? More sparse class days? Would there be special training connected to preparing me for squad work?" She ventured with .... pointed curiosity.

Her natural curiosity was something that had garnered attention from more than just himself. While he intended to gauge what was behind that talent, the truth behind such otherworldly skill, he also wanted to give her a chance to sate that wild curiosity, something he felt was best suited for the Stealth Force, or, even the Research Division.

"Not exactly like Substitute Shinigami, but you would have more sparse class days. I can work with you on how it gets scheduled, but, there would certainly be some rudimentary training to help prepare you for squad work. Nothing too extensive, just in case you decide that this isn't the division for you."

He'd had several members transfer out of the division during his time as Captain, both before his expulsion and reenlistment, and while it was not the most pleasant event, it was something he was more than prepared for. The Stealth Force was a niche section of the Gotei, after all, another thing he was more than aware of.

She certainly seemed to make note of his response. And a few other things, watching him closely. She could almost sense the ...good nature behind his intentions. Which was interesting, an entirely separate sensation from what she'd experienced with Julian. She hadn't garnered much, but she had had the impression that there was a lot more he wasn't telling her.

But well. She suppose if it were anyone, it would be the Captain of the Fifth Division who would be the one to deceive her if anyone would. For all intents and purposes... it was a solid deal. A very clear indication that she could back out if she so wished. And that he was willing to work with her about her academy schedule. Not only that but .... the options it opened up for her were noteable. Operating as a member of Fifth Division, it had potential to being deployed to a number of interesting places. Not only that but .... Yuuto himself seemed agreeable.

"Is that so.... if that's the case, then I .....I think I would like to accept your offer, Captain." She noted quietly. The small hints of hesitation ironing out as she made up her mind. This was exactly the sort of sep forward she needed. Some modicum of thought had settled into potentially joining the Third Division, however she was more ....curious than that. Third division was a sentence to a lab, with potential for field work. She was FAR too invested in personal interaction with objects of her fascination. She much preferred to directly study than just process data from afar.

She had every intention of crushing this 'rudimentary training' that Yuuto had in mind.
