- Appearance Description: Kouin is a small, girlish figure, childlike in nature. She seems very soft and delicate, as she gives a sort of joyful smile to everything around her. She wears only a white dress, and sometimes sandals, but nothing more. She has a soft look skin, and very long green hair, with even more capturing green eyes, as she seems to be very easily light weight.

- Personality: Kouin is a very observant girl, her eyes almost penetrative. She is pretty intelligent, knowing general psychology by choice, and often just seems to be get things right on the mark, and more so, her finger in pies that need no poking. She is a very enthusiastic and happy go lucky girl, seemingly always content, and rarely disturbed : it is almost unnatural how Kouin never seems to get sad, or upset, or even angry. She takes everything with a smile, and even seems to take fighting with a light heart. She doesn't seem to be bothered by what people think of her, and is mostly a free spirit type : she just likes to live from day to day, and she also loves playing around. She is generally just a happy face.

Although, happy face or not, she may seem cruel and unusual to others, because of her ignorance to some things : such as her doing things she wants can be detrimental to others. Stubborn and willful, Kouin just does what she wants. However, when she has a goal in mind, she never gives up, nor does she back down : she also shuts things out and just focus on the goal. In general, Kouin is just very happy-go lucky, and can be serious if it interests her enough. Else wise, she just abandons it, and finds something interesting. She knows there is something missing, and she's looking for it, unsure of even what it is.. but she is still looking.

- History: Kouin started out as a hunted mod-soul, due to the fact that she was a survivor of Project Spearhead. The mod-soul had no name, just kept running, having taken a gigai modeled after a young girl. The girl was unfortunately passed away however, and the gigai had never been used and just thrown into storage. It was a pure stroke of luck that Kouin slipped and fell inside her mouth. The moment that they came in to store something else, Kouin escaped with a twin tailed girl as well. They were both small and quick : and the surprise on their captors allowed them to get out of the Gotei before they could properly search for them. Running and running, they two separated, in order for one to survive. They understood those risks, and continued with their mad flight.

Kouin however, was caught and felt the blades eviscerate her. Shaking, her fingers reached for the heavens, as a brown haired woman appeared. Almost instinctual, her hand reached for her. The woman just looked at the shinigami, and placed her hand over the mod soul. With a sudden flash of light, everything felt right. With a sudden snap, the shinigami were left with a corpse, and a brown haired woman. Shrugging, they left her to dispose of the body. Once they left, the illusion broke, revealing not one live girl but three. Meeting the girl with pigtails again, Kouin smiled.

Now part of a new race, she looks for something. Something that she needs. She isn't quite sure what : just that she'll know when it's there, as her quest leads her to different places.

- Natural Abilities: Kouin's gigai was meant for a strange purpose : it was based to help the shinigami observe. Her mod-soul core did not fit the purpose of the gigai : the mod-soul enhanced speed and general combat strength. As such, Kouin's Sansgue nature merged and helped flow these two together.

-- Reishi Thief --
Kouin can more or less steal Reishi : this said, she simply takes control of Reishi, and then uses it for her own whims. This said, she can take various forms of Reishi, including quincy arrows. This means she can convert the energy of an attack into her own use : however, should the attack have a physical element to it, she can't use it as well. This is able due to high Connexion abilities. Again, common sense is expected : absorbing 80 quincy arrows at once is a bit much, etc.

-- Jack Rabbit --
Kouin has a lightweight and small frame, which strangely, works well with her unnatural speed. Her frame makes her naturally speedy, and yet, her modsoul core increases this and her reaction time even more. This makes Kouin pretty fast, as she seems to almost disappear at times. However, from the way she moves normally, it's like if she restrains her speed unless she needs it. This is because Kouin has a little bit of trouble actually controlling it : Kouin's mind isn't adapted to running that fast, so sometimes she loses track of her own movements, and could end up in a place she didn't mean to be. Although her high reaction time compounds for this sometimes, it doesn't always stay on the snap.

-- Chameleon --
Kouin, even though she looks pretty unique, has the ability to just fade away. Many think this is due to immense speed, but it's actually due to Kouin's energies muting her and her very existence from the world. To explain more, it makes it so that she's so plain that she's overlooked. This can work in battle, particularly if the opponent loses sight of her. However, if one had more will or focus then she, their sight would be able to see her. Since it's not really an illusion, it's hard to pinpoint exactly how this work. But as far as it goes, it's like Kouin just becomes so unremarkable that attention doesn't seem to fall on her.

- Stage 1 :: Sommeil:

-- Reflective Surfaces --
Strangely, people seem to lose track of Kouin. That is because of her ability : she is able to enter an ulterior relm, which is a gray-scale version of the current one, by entering a reflective surface. Such surfaces are like mirrors, windows, water puddles : it if can shine back sunlight, it works. Now how does Kouin enter? She simply goes towards the object, and her shape changes to be able to enter the object : she becomes like a transparent liquid, and suddenly moves very fast. The main weak point of this ability is just before she transforms into the liquid state : Kouin doesn't move before that transformation. Once inside of the alter-world, she can chose reflective surfaces to come out of. She can even bounce in between them, staying in the world mere seconds before being out. This allows her to use her speed in attacks that can be blindingly fast.

-- Distortion Needles --
Kouin can form these needles at any time. These needles are dangerous : they disrupt not only mental and energy conditions of the target, they also build upon each other. Several needles do more then a single one. Each needle, wherever it hits, temporarily disables energy flow into that area unless the opponent has higher focus then she does. These needles also cause a light distortion of perception : the user will start seeing things more or less. It's like the needles are full of LSD or basically, the concept of delusions. However, strong enough willpower will break out of it, depending on Kouin's own mental deduction. The more one is hit by these needles, the stronger the effects are.

-- Conductor --
Kouin is able to, once a thread, activate this ability. It lasts for the duration of the thread. Once she activates this, she looses all use of any other ability. Conductor allows Kouin to, basically, reflect and re-direct things aimed at her. This means, there is a sudden energy bust each time anything comes near Kouin : and with a light adjustment, it will miss. However, she could use more energy and reflect it right back at the opponent. This allows Kouin to conduct a fight, and more or less, flow at what hits her and what doesn't. However, none of her natural mod-soul abilities, nor any sangsue abilities can be used. More or less, should Kouin activate this, she can use nothing else but this. However, she can be limited in it's use. This is because of strength differences : those two tiers higher then her, have attacks and abilities that are harder for her to understand and conduct. Common sense is expected to be used with this ability : due to the myriad of abilities on site, mostly it is a case by case situation. But Conductor basically allows Kouin to read the flow of a battle, and do decisive moves to change it, via manipulation of other's attacks, dodging attacks whom's path she read, or other various things.

- Stage 2 :: Réveil: ''Islatu''

-- Reflective Creation --
Kouin activates her Réveil, allowing her sangsue to awaken. Kouin can now create reflective surfaces : by concentrating her energy and memorizing the area, she can form the mirrors in the places she memorized. They can take the shape of anything she imagines : but her energy will form it there. These reflective shapes are able to be destroyed, like any other object. They are a bit more resistant however, able to take up to under her tier in damage. This ability allows Kouin to more or less, amplify her Sommeil abilities.

-- Dome of Refraction --
Kouin marks a certain place : from here, she will create a sphere of 10o meters in all directions. This sphere seems harmless at first : the mark is the middle of the sphere. However, once one begins to test the limits of the sphere, it becomes obvious : the sphere is actually a holding grounds. The sphere area itself is now distorted : cloned if you will. This means this area can be destroyed at will and the original area will be safe. This allows people to go all out in this field : what's more interesting, is that the edges of the dome will reflect any object attempted to be thrown out of it back into the area. For example, a cero fired at Kouin misses, since she dodged. It will continue until it hits the dome line, and then will bounce back : re-entering it into the battle, until the energy is exhausted or that it hits something that stops it. This allows for new strategies and for the user to think before they dodge. Since the sphere is independent of Kouin's energy apart from initial activation, it is as strong as the highest tier inside of it. People can enter and leave at will, as long as they are non-combative : that means not thrown out, punched out, etc.

-- Distorted Mass --
Kouin has another ability, one that's a bit more strange. It seems like she can mutate parts of her body : such as her arms or legs, into a mass of tentacles. These tentacles are twice as strong as she is, and extremely flexible. They don't seem to have any sort of ulterior effect currently : but she can dissolve her form into this mass of tentacles, a sight that often breaks minds. This form is often too horrific to straightly comprehend, and makes those with a low will power go insane on sight. This is only when she shifts to her full mass distorted form. The tentacles and what not seem to cause nothing : however, her full distorted form has never been seen by anyone. Those already insane won't be effected by her full form either. However, it seems to be horrible enough to warrant the Eye to ban Kouin from transforming into it unless she's dying.

-- Devour --
Kouin has been known to eat anything. This is because her system has high acids that easily break down any material that may find it's way into her stomach. This acid can also be present in her saliva should she choose to. She can choose the amount of acidity contained in her saliva, allowing her a sort of last weapon should she need it. Also, her teeth are easily able to bite through normal metal, should she apply energy to them. It gives the Sangsue quite a bite. This allows Kouin to never go hungry, no matter where she is. [except for space obviously] She's also been known to use her spit as a cauterizing tool or a dissolving agent. To allow herself to eat things of different sizes, she jaw joints, and just chomp on things. This makes biting heads off quite literally possible. She gains nothing out of eating things however, except nutrition.
