The air was positively electric on that quiet summers evening. The sky was starting to darken. The humidity and heat were high, and in the distance flashes of heat lightning could be seen lighting the sky. All around the sounds of animals could be heard. Squirls darting under foot, crickets chirping, the distant croaks of frogs seeking mates. All the typical signs of a normal summers eve in the backwoods of the Rukongai. Here there was no hustle and bustle of city life. Sure there were small villages here and there, but the people who lived there prefered far more simple and quiet lives over those who lived in the official Rukongai districts.
Suddenly this normality was interrupted by a flat toned eruption of sound. It was that oh so very odd sound of the fabric of space and time seemingly tearing apart. What came in the wake of that sound was a black hole in the sky, a portal to Hueco Mundo, a place considered hell to the people of the heaven like Soul Society...though many would tell you it was far from heaven.
From this gateway to hell came the sound of thunder as a streak of fire could be seen shooting through the nights sky. This was Flea, the loyal arrancar knight and her steed War. She wore full armpr, a pure silver that shone in the light. Her cloak was black, as were the supporting joints of her armor. The hollow horse, War, also wore armor that beared many similarities to the knight whom rode it. They looked dangerous in their full armor. but despite this look this was no invasion mission. It had not even been approved by Ashlei Clixx. This was a mission to find information most likely long forgotten in some back storage room. This was to find information on Radioactive.
Flea was somewhat fresh off her battle with Radioactive in which she claimed his eye which now acted as a trophy in Ashlei Clixx laboratory...what was left of it anyway. Her bore a slightly different look then she had before...mostly in her eyes which had started to turn a darker green color. Her reitsu was now slightly different as well, feeling somewhat....wrong, though it was hard to explain why.
War stopped his stride just outside of a small forest village that sported many wooden structures. It was surronded by a wooden wall with a gate at the northern side of the city. Two torches shone bright by the gate, revealing a small guard house that housed a chair, spear and a warning bell. This was like nothing Flea had ever seen before. It was so...odd. It was like something out of history, this little town. As if time had stood still for this spot alone.
She was occupied with her observations when she noticed a ping of spirit energy to the right. She walked towards it in time to see a medium sized hollow burst down the wall. A warning bell started to ring as an explosion erupted what a storage room. Several men shot arrows at the hollow with no effect.
It was very interesting how this all played out, like something from a fairy tail or book. The demon marching on the town and the men fighting it. Only this was not a story and this hollow was here without permission from Ashlei...not that she was one to comment on that.
Flea quietly walked up to the hollow who was busy laughing like an idiot as a spear stuck at him uselessly. He was very full of himself as he made a game of swiping villagers away. The distance from the Seritai had made this hollow feel somewhat safe and powerful attacking these pretty much defenceless and backwoods villages. Shinigami never came out this far to patrol, and hollows often took advantage of that. Flea tapped the hollow on the back once, then twice. It made a laugh and a sound like it said it would kill her in a moment. With that sort of comment Flea bashed the back of the hollows head with her hand, causing it's hollow brains to splatter all around. It's body fell to the ground with a thud.
Silence followed. A sound like a waiting storm. Then came the cheers as people around realized their enemy was dead. They began to surrond Flea. They patted her on the back and what not. They spoke to her with praise.
''You must be one of them there Shinigami they have in the big city the way you smashed that demon and what nots.''
''So young and so strong! You must be a captain or something!''
These comments took her off guard for a moment. They thought she was a shinigami? How odd. Then again they were not able to feel spirit pressure, and what other than a Shinigami would be hanging around?
''Thank you...it was no problem...thank you...
She was not use to such praise. It felt good. She had really helped these people. Saved their lives and their loved ones. It made her lose track of why she had made this illegal trip in the first place. It was only when War trotted up and nudged her that she remembered.
You would not happen to know where the Seritai might be. I am a little lost...
After being insistant upon to have dinner with them she headed her way south towards her destination. She rode on War with confidence, but deep down she was worried. How exactly did she plan to get the information she was after? What if there was none to be found? What if they wanted to fight her? She was not looking for that at all. She just wanted to know what Radio was before he became a monster, and maybe why he did. Also the memories that haunted her dreams....Hopefully someone would understand.
